You do realise that your post has zero substance other than "I don't like it"? BAT being garbage or not is irrelevant to the topic anyway, it has value - that's what matters.
Stop promoting shady shit such as BAT. Anything Chromium based is inherently never going to be as good as non-Google-injected software. He might as well give his parents names and daily routines to Google directly. BAT should have never existed, not the token nor the browser. The alternatives are much better despite being much smaller. OK? How's that a reason not to accept/sell tokens from the ones who do use it? The "privacy" browser demands kyc for publishers to receive their cryptocurrency I think this incoherence is enough reason for theymos to avoid supporting such project. And this is a Bitcoin forum. This forum has more than enough bitcoins, there is no reason to risk the forum and theymos' reputation supporting such a project
But MUH, you do realise that your post has zero substance? OP is an ignorant wanker hoping to score some cheap-ass merits. Maybe some of those generous-givers that throw merit at low-valued garbage such as Loyce might reward him for this. Theymos has sacrificed enough by introducing that half-arsed garbage Grin. >Getting this triggered over forum post You do have some issues don't you? Seriously, take regular breaks from internet sometime. Not even joking.

Brave and their shit token are terrible. I would avoid getting involved with it. This pajeet revenue is unnecessary.
I've never supported their Chromium-based garbage and have been interested in flagging them ever since this garbage system was introduced. No time to look around yet though.

Theymos will not risk his personal info to apply the KYC verification just to get those rewards from brave.
He's not anonymous you know, and, to my understanding, he/forum complies with US laws so it's not like he's compromising anything + you don't submit any personal info to verify as publisher. Although you'd need to verify personal or business details with Uphold to withdraw/convert (currently they're the only ones processing payments for brave). Much bigger entities bothered to do it (recently Wikipedia), and I wouldn't be surprised if BTCTalk had better earning potential. * just another bitcoin-purist rant *

With Brave getting decent traction and couple of big boys (including Wikipedia) signing up recently - it's kind of strange to see BTCTalk not yet being verified as publisher. The overlap of Brave and BTCTalk users must be pretty big - so there's definitely great potential for extra, non-trivial revenue from tips and auto-contributions. All for the one time effort of verifying. I understand prevailing anti-altcoin sentiment, but such earnings (in BAT tokens) could be converted to BTC propping its price I'm sure there are plenty of good ways to spent extra funds ie. on hiring more mods (or for increasing rewards for current ones), fighting spam, or just community contest etc. Just a suggestion.

Fair enough. Thought it would be good to post this on the main board, for more awareness.

Catch is that people dont trust Argentinian banks and rather keep their wealth in Gold or in foreign banks. That is why they offer good exchange rates for your money since they lack of it. You see that people trust Switzerland banks most so that is why their interest rate is lowest. Sure, but to offer 30% above inflation banks have to make enormous profit, otherwise they'll have to print more money (or pull an obvious ponzi), meaning inflation rate is probably understated. Or it's just a bait to lure deposits in and change rates quickly to match inflation. ... Someone would need to be crazy to invest in Argentina now, even with 30% real interest rates, because goverment will probably devaluate their money by printing more. Argentina is known to fake inflation data, so probably their real inflation is far more than the actual interest rates. ...
That would make sense. Thanks. ps. Do you guys feel it's a good time to bet on further collapse and short Argentine Peso or is it too late and is it all already priced in?
|
|
|
OK, where's the catch? Argentina's >30% can't be real. Their inflation indeed seems to be around 50%, but I find it hard to believe that the actual interest rate can be at 86%. This must be either a short term thing, incorrect data, or banks doing exit scam.

I answered this one a couple of weeks ago. We have started removing accounts that have never been used and are older than 15 days. So it is only the accounts that signed up didn't even do one free roll and never came back.
OK, makes sense. But are such accounts deleted completely, or only removed from referred users lists? ie. what if someone, with such account, tried to log-in after 15 days after all? Will they be able to, or will they be asked to create new credentials? Sorry if this has already been answered, this thread is bit too massive to be scanning through it.

Quick question. Do you remove old/inactive referees? I'm almost certain my number of users referred has dropped since last time I checked.

It seems to me there's some activity from may 2019 and june 2019 from the cold wallet: you can see 15 BTC going out each time (one in May and another one in June). ...
Good spot. Here's the address in question: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1SD1ciWyeDNf26YoAUjSsifQZK1ShFJ2s... Also, I don't know if this means there is someone maintaining the site or it's some kind of script that is triggered when the hot wallet is empty.
Hard to say, but having auto-top up script would be defying the purpose of cold wallet + dates are infrequent and have no clear pattern which would suggest transfers are issued manually. Just my guess though.

The site might still be functional, but the major issue is that the owner is missing. Likely you're only able to withdraw when someone else had made a deposit (adding funds to hot wallet). Or you could be withdrawing from your own deposit. I would not recommend making any deposits to SD at this stage. You will most likely end up with your funds locked on site, not to mention that domain is due to expire in couple of months and site could be taken down. https://imgur.com/6x11iu4

Are there any extra benefits registering to play on swcpoker through a affiliate compared to registering through the site directly?
anyone? Short answer: no. There's no guaranteed benefit. Although referrers can decide to send you a tip as a gesture of appreciation, they're also able to organise special, private tournaments for their referees etc. What kind of benefits would you like to see? Free chips?

Hah! To be fair, it says backed 1:1, meaning 1 BTC = 1 BTC2; not that it has the same value market-wise. +1 for the meme though.
If it truly was 1 BTC = 1 BTC2 then one would expect the price to reflect that (ie as USDT's price is about $1) Clearly 1 BTC2 =/= 1 BTC Disclaimer: I haven't even heard about BTC2 until I came across this thread.
|
|
|
BTC2 = ~ $1.70 BTC = ~$9,000 "BTC2 is 1:1 backed by on-chain BTC"
