Why not allow all games to be tested without logging in?
...

As it is now, you can just type anything there, it doesn't send any verification email or anything.

Looks decent in terms of functionality but could definitely benefit from adding some flashy visual effects.

I had a quick look, and played a few games incl. blackjack. Two quick comments:

Setting the bet amount is not very intuitive, it would be best just to be able to type the desired amount in the box. Also noticed that stats are not working at all for the blackjack (work fine for other games though). Here's the snippet after playing quite a few games:

The Yo!Mix team and Coinomize team will probably post a scam accusation soon and rightfully so since I have no means to prove my innocence. I will accept whatever this community would think of me as I know this is all my fault for being so careless and stupid.

I've been in this forum since 2017 and I'm truly heart broken that this happened.

You can prevent this by reaching out and:

- apologising
- expressing your willingness to repay of what got stolen
- coming up with repayment plan

Shit happens, even one of the most prominent bitcoin devs, LukeJr got hacked recently and lost ~$3 mil worth of btc

I see you are putting on a Yomix signature which tells me you are protecting your own interests here after being selected as a participant

Yeah, I wouldn't mind that.

and why not allow YoMix to protect their interest after this bombshell?  Roll Eyes

A good poster will always be a good poster and will easily be spotted by any good CM, gl in your journey.

And how I am not allowing them to protect their interest exactly? Bu suggesting a solution that could minimise their cost and increase the chances of recouping their losses?

Yeah, gl to you too and enjoy whatever you earned from that post.

We'll hire new campaign manager and create new topic a bit later,
I highly recommend you to contact Hhampuz if you want to run your campaign well and smoothly. I guarantee he's the only Manager you can trust.

Looks like Royse777 will be taking over:

Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. Sad it happened, we'll run new campaign soon managed by Royse777.

Part of being a campaign manager is the responsibility of managing campaign funds. I don’t see a way out of this except the manager is willing to pay the campaign participants out of his own pocket. I feel sympathy for you, it’s a bad situation you’re in.
The main question here is will @OP pay to the participants of coinomize signature campaign from his pocket or should we consider that we have advertised 1week for free?

The main question is if the OP intends to repay all his creditors. As far as I know ~75% of the stolen funds were due to Yomix. Campaign participants do not have any priority here.

Emotions and judgements aside, the question is how do we proceed from here. I see 2 options:

1 - OP gets bashed left and right, gets multiple negative feedback  - result -> he's no longer able to earn from his bounty/signature campaigns activity -> leaves the forum -> creditors get nothing

2 - OP negotiates with creditors to work out some mid to long-term plan of repayment -> creditors withhold from giving him a neg trust until he's repaying -> he's still able to make income on the forum but obliges himself to use either multisig address or escrow service of a more trusted 3rd party until the debts are repaid. -> creditors get paid (slowly but still) and OP has a chance to keep his income stream and rebuild his reputation.

Thoughts?
As I know how things work here, option 1 comes first. If OP pays back the campaign funds, the negative tags can be reviewed and changed if need be.

Yeah I know, but this forum is not famous for smartness.

Giving OP option to earn and repay without him handling any funds > crippling his ability to earn and expect him to repay rather than just to f*** off from the forum.

Anyhow, it's down to OP and the people he owes to make such discussion.

Since the wallet seems to have been hacked by our Bounty Manager @julerz12 (See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5433643) we have to pause the signature campaign.

But we will pay everyone their money tomorrow.

Fair enough, but just a thought - you could still let OP run it and just use escrow service (i.e. Royse777) to pay participants directly. This way OP could be repaying you a bit of what he owes with his service. That's assuming he'd be willing to that that is.

Is this campaign paused? Just a typo?

It's not typo. Campaign manager said that his escrow wallet was "drained" after few hours after transferring money to escrow. He said he got scammed.
We believe he just stole our escrow funds. We'll hire new campaign manager and create new topic a bit later, for now you can remove your signatures.

julerz12 started a reputation thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5433643.0

He said he got hacked. I don't know him that well (or in fact at all) and if I was you I'd be pretty pissed off as well, but there's a big chance he's telling the truth. Looking at his activity, the damage in reputation could likely cost him more (long term) on the lost earnings than the $5k that got stolen.

The sad reality is, we'll never know the truth.
Any IRL troubles can cause such behavior from him, sad it happened.
He said he keeps his salary payments in ledger, but escrow funds in electrum, it's just stupid if he tells the truth.

Either way, hacked or stolen, he still owes you money.

But I'd give him a benefit of a doubt if he comes up with a plan to repay you. If he's willing to do that, that'd likely mean he's telling the truth, as repaying the funds would defy the purpose of stealing it.

And what law exactly if you willfully accept it during the registration process. I once a believer too of what you are believing but the recent event on the crypto world that show great example of this.

If you don’t mind sharing a little bit OT on gambling. Celsius holders lose already there money on court battle.

The judge, Martin Glenn, found that Celsius’s terms of use — the lengthy contracts that many websites publish but few consumers read — meant “the cryptocurrency assets became Celsius’s property.”

If ToS is not legally accepted then how come a crypto company use it to win a court battle?

I don't know much about Celsius, but I don't think that article means what you think it means. Most centralised exchanges would have all the customers' deposit pooled and just hold the records in the ledger. So in a sense, you would cede the ownership of your deposit in exchange of CEX's obligation, meaning you become their creditor.

Funny enough, another failed enterprise - BlockFi, are trying to do something opposite and petition the bankruptcy court to allow customers to withdraw from wallet accounts saying it's THEIR funds, but unlikely the court will agree to that IMO, as it would be very unfair to other users.

That does not mean that anything that's put in the T&Cs is legally binding. Quite obviously.

Common myths about contract terms
Just because terms are written and signed, it doesn’t make them legal.

...
Splitting the bet into smaller bets to chase a win isn't a bad idea, but isn't the worst way to bet, while more bets then there is a bigger chance to win but we get less profit.
...

That's somewhat true for the usual, real life bets, but not for the scenario discussed.
1915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 07, 2023, 12:20:39 PM

There’s some instances on tennis match that the game is mark as canceled when the player retired on the middle of the game. Some bets are still tag as cancelled even if it won already like bets on total score due to the game didn’t finish at all as per ToS of some sportsbook. It’s important to read ToS because some of them includes rule to make some situations in favor to them.

On his example. I think he is pertaining on old issue that sportsbook cancelled all the bet of the player due to the involvement of user to shady bets such as fixed match and arbitrage bets. There’s no reported issue that casino cancelled match while it is won without a valid reason.

That's what I mean, if the game is not finished, there are no winners or losers. If the bets were "canceled" after the game was finished, then it's nothing but a fraud. But yeah, In case of fixed games, things can get a bit more complicated - but still they could freeze the funds of suspected players and contact authorities. Canceling the game because the THINK it might have been fixed is still not right.

ToS are not very reliable as usually any business reserves the right to change them and essentially are wording them in a way to give themselves a maximum privilege over players. It's important to remember that ToCs do not supersede the law.

And there's absolutely nothing shady about arbitrage bets Smiley
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 07, 2023, 11:48:19 AM
There was one certain time around 2021 when some sports prediction codes were shared among gamblers, but after the game, there were a lot of winnings, and the betting site cancelled the game due to the many winnings. As of then, I knew of a guy who won about $17k; I can't remember how much he staked then, but the game was cancelled.
Not sure what type of game are you referring to, but ususally when the game is cancelled then there are no winners or losers. If the bet was won and casino decided not to pay out the winnings - then it was nothing but a fraud.

...
30% is what I can afford to lose, but had the roll been repetitive, I would just split BTC0.25 into 5 places and play it 5 times.

VERY bad idea. If you have a mathematical edge over casino, for the repetitive bets, the best tactic is to play with minimum bet increments to reduce the risk of going bust in case of a long losing streak.

Statistically, you'd only win one in six rolls, so losing streak of 5, or even 10 or 15 is very likely to happen. If I recall correctly the longest losing streak recorded on JustDice was over 30 with the odds of 50%.

... In such a case betting more than you can easily afford to lose is not a wise move.

Betting 100% of all you CAN afford to lose is probably not a wise move, given the 83% chance of a loss. I mean depending on how you define the amount you can afford to lose, I guess. Could mean a different thing to different people.

My question to you is, do you trust the site that you are saying that? Have you tried it yet? Maybe like others here who can agree with my thoughts, other gamblers can do that in the crypto space if it's legitimate, that's why most people still doubt it.

Yes, I trust the site completely and have tried it many times. I believe it is legitimate and many other gamblers have had positive experiences with it. They only offer EV+ bets and no one has ever lost a penny there. Highly recommended.

Seriously, what the hell are you even talking about? This is a hypothetical scenario as per the very first line of the OP. Put some effort into reading and stop spamming. Please.

...Although my acquaintances have managed to recoup their lottery ticket winnings several times. That's all they were able to earn.

Are you sure about that? People, in general, like to brag and exaggerate and say things that put them in a good light. On top of that, they're we're not very good about keeping the track of our income and expenses.

It's very easy to get deluded about your actual gambling performance when you don't keep (or have access to) actual win/lost records. Small losses often don't even get registered in long-term memory, whereas wins would cause a dopamine release and are likely to get engraved in memory. As a result - we may genuinely think that we're in profit when it's simply not true.
