2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have stopped introducing bitcoin to others! on: February 23, 2017, 11:41:15 PM
Bitcoin shouldn't be explained as an investment, it's not the best way to do it. There is an ideology behind bitcoin and that should be the primary reasons to give and to make people understand. Bitcoin has advantages that currencies don't have. The fact about investment in Bitcoin can be done with basically any cuurency. If people start to use Bitcoin as an inventment and they lose money (because the price decrase or whatever reason) then they will get a bad image about bitcoin and will start yelling bitcoin is shit, as soon someone ask them about it

Sooner or later anyone interested in BTC will reach exchange site and see the charts. How then would you explain such volatility + how to convince anyone that BTC could be treated as regular mean of payment, when you have to think about current market price, to not loose when you decide to pay for anything? I would say, that 75% of the marketcap is driven by speculation purposes.

Totally agree with you mate. Also, the fact that there are quite many people already using bitcoins, speculations happens and the prices of it becomes volatile. This is also a good opportunity for some savvy traders, to profit due to high volatility of bitcoins.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have found a wallet with 40 BTC on: February 23, 2017, 11:27:47 PM
To be honest, no matter how I tried it, I really find hard time believing this scenario. If the private key has been in public for more than 6 years already, it should have been taken by someone else few years ago or so. It is just not believable, I am sorry.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: February 23, 2017, 11:19:45 PM
because they have a stake on it

they have interest on more fiat going into btc
there are certainly differences of fiat to bitcoin that make a person more interested in using bitcoin than fiat, for myself of course bitcoin be keeping a secret my transaction so I prefer bitcoin for this
Yah, this is one of the best of bitcoin your transaction remains secret, and why people preferred to use this in some illegal matter, yet once your wallet was revealed and people know that this wallet is yours transaction is not anymore secret. This is one feature of bitcoin which can be used in positive sense and also in negative sense.
I agree wih you.Bitcoin transaction is anonymous . Thats why people prefer using bitcoin. But this is not the only reason .In my opinion there are two more reasons for it. One reason is bicoin's price is increasing day by day.So many people want to keep bitcoins as a future assest or investment.Because they think its price will rise again. Another reason is its very easy to transfer bitcoins from one part of the world to another part. That too processing fee is much lesser when compared to paypal and other banking process. No headaches and no stress.Just you need a computer and internet .Thats it. I think its because of this people are preferring bitcoins over fiat.

That is correct about bitcoin that it is fairly cheap to transact, fast, easy, and anonymous. I have a friend that when we talk about money, he convert everything to bitcoin because he is now considering bitcoin as his primary currency.
2144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at an all time high on: February 23, 2017, 10:53:17 PM
I didn't expect to see the price finally demolish the all time high today, but I can happily say that it did. I just hope for some calmth as this increase is nice of course, but I aim at more sustainability.

My guess is that we will see the price increase to around $1250-$1300 where after that we'll more or less hover between $1100-$1200 for a couple of weeks to a month before we can move to the next target.

Hopefully what you are saying is true. When we try to get carried away by the the prices of bitcoin, we tend to get panic and worried that it may fall anytime soon. However, if we just look at it as just a number, then we are all good and continue what we are doing and before we know it, we have amassed big amount of bitcoin in the future and the price may or may not as high as today.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: February 23, 2017, 10:50:49 PM
Experience does not matter in gambling and in fact experience gives even more loss compared to a new gambler in my opinion as you can see that when a gambler is new he/she wins a lot while with time in long term they always loose.

If you talking about game such a dice, that probably happens because he/she (newbie) have more luck.

It's different story if that newbie haven't experience playing game such a poker, sportbetting which the game required skill and experience too.

we need experience before we could be a pro gamblers because with experience, we can learn many thing that we know like if we are in one situations and we already seen this, we can make fast solution so if something bad is happen, we have another way to cover it and if we have loss, our loses its not too much and we can continue the games.
so you think experience help you out to control the situation? how can it affected to the outcome of your bet? no, nothing? of course it's nothing to do with experience when it comes to gambling everything are uncertain, i admit an experience might help a little bit but it's not necessary to have it to get started.

There are actually 2 experienced people in terms of gambling - 1 is the type of addicted to gambling and has been gambling for a longer period of time and the number 2 is the once equipped with strategies and skilled. Call the latter as professional gambler. Now, who do you think will win most and has the edge? Now, is it safe that experienced is a big factor to gambling? The answer is qualified no. Because not all experienced gamblers are professional gamblers.
2146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: February 23, 2017, 10:47:42 PM
"When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat?" This is a very common feeling in gambling, I felt this way many times with many games, not just dices, this is why we gamble, we love excitement that gambling gives us. I play league of legends and counter strike, and when ever I get in couple good fights and I make couple good kills in a row I feel how my heart start to beat faster.

This is but natural to humans - however, if we are going to master these emotions and control it, we have the potential in gambling industry. What makes people lose in gambling most of the time is their emotions, when they are so carried away with it and never stop betting, they will eventually lose due to house edge.
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: February 23, 2017, 10:44:06 PM
The easiest way to make profit from gambling is to not gamble at all, so you save your money from a likely loss. But you can easily make money with things that are related to gambling, like bankroll investment, signature campaigns, affiliate programs, blog posts, etc. Gambling is a well developed industry and there's plenty of opportunities for work, or maybe you can even create your own gambling site.

Good point. Make yourself a favor, to not play as a gambler and become investor of gambling sites that have a good companion - house edge.. These way, you have less risk and good potential of earning profits in no time.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: February 23, 2017, 10:41:38 PM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue
Trading is much more good than gambling and we already know that already. While gambling is not good by making money and its not profitable as the trading can. But these two are both have risk,   but most often gambling are much higher than risk to Trading.

Not to mention also that in trading, you have full control of losing and winning based on your limits. If you are good and controlling yourself and equipping it with right trading knowledge and skills, then you are up for a good fight in trading industry.
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: February 23, 2017, 10:40:03 PM
Do you gamble for fun or for profit?

I was only doing gamble for fun only even if I win, I cannot say its profitable maybe I'm just luck only. Its the only thing I think that can benefit me in some other way in which gambling is helping me relieve my tiredness, my problems in somehow and others.

That is the key my friend. You need to know very well your reasons why you gamble - if it is to relieve the stresses in life and just to have fun, so be it.. However, if it already for profit and you do not really know what you are doing, then it becomes bad.
2150  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: February 23, 2017, 10:36:57 PM
I also think that investing in a casino is a good idea. But I'd like to hear how really look income. Is there anyone who has already invested so? How much we can earn by investing, for example, 1 BTC?

I think you may want to read this thread.

In about three months you would have earned somewhere around 20-25% profits if you invested into the bankroll of the top three casinos. Among these are BetKing, SafeDice, and CryptoGames. BetKing is closing their bankroll for such investments starting December, so you are left with only two options. Maybe, there are other worthy casinos as well, but I haven't seen stats for them yet.
Yes, he could have earned 20-25% of profits, but it isn't guaranteed. the op of that thread also lost money by investing into satoshidice and moneypot so he discontinued investing in those two sites. there's no way one can know how much profit they can make, it could be 1% or 50% or -1% or -50%, it depends on how much a player loses or wins and also your luck. Roll Eyes

The only way investors can reduce their losses is like what OP has diversified his investment. Due to the diversification OP is still in profit otherwise, he might have lost some of his money if he might have chosen any one or two sites. But as you said there is no guaranty of earnings from these gambling investments.

Diversification is indeed the key to mitigating the risk in so far as investing to online casino is concerned. But to be honest, it also holds true to all kind of investment vehicles. You need to diversify your investment.
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can u lose with gambling? on: February 23, 2017, 10:33:45 PM
You can lose as much as you bet. If you are not going to be careful about it, it's possible to lose even everything and you can become homeless in a very short time. I have met such people who became popular and rich and it took just one day for the transformation to begin: in one day they gambled all their money away and became homeless people selling newspapers. It can easily turn out bad for you, so be wise!!

You can lose up to the max bet in every session. If you keep playing with ax bet and and lose everytime, that is up to how much you are going to lose in gambling.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: February 23, 2017, 10:31:56 PM
i think the price of bitcoin will not reach on this point ? because most of the investor in bitcoin was a gambler and gambling sites owner and we should thank the gamblers because they helping us to grow our bitcoins. and if there's no gambling i think there will be less rich on the world because most of rich family came from gambling Smiley

Gambling will remain even without bitcoin and if gambling was not introduced then you are right with it bitcoin industry is not going to boom because one of its biggest contributor for its adoption and demand are the gambling sites and you forget to thank also those addicted gamblers because they are the once who is making the whole gambling industry alive. But if gambling is not introduced to the whole nation, then we will have our own addiction in other things.

Granting that gambling was introduced and invented, then bitcoin will still be use for online transactions - it just happened that gambling industry took the wave out of bitcoin but we have to realize as well that bitcoin is also being used in other financial transactions online.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing investment on Gambling sites on: February 23, 2017, 10:23:28 PM

Was planing to invest on a gambling site since they said its a gauranteed profit since the house can't lose but I'm still skeptical about it, i don't have much BTC so I have to make sure whether its going to be profitable for me.  What possibilities could happen to the gambling site i wanted to invest into and how am i going to lose my investment in such a manner?

If you not willing to invest then maybe you shouldn't , you say you skeptical and that is good enough reason not to invest. There only way you will lose money is if the house runs one day. Which is extremely unlikely since they using your money to make even more so running makes no sense. Which is only a good thing for the rest of us. I would say investing in a casino is one of the safest investments you can make.

I agree that investing to reputable online casinos is the safest way to win because you have the house edge advantage as well. However, there will really be times that you are going to lose as well but these happens seldom - they key is, you have to invest regularly in good and in bad times - and at the end of the day, you will earn profit. NOTE: Invest only to reputable online casinos - do yur research to find them.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: February 23, 2017, 10:21:08 PM
The only fields where you can smart play will be poker and sport gambling.

For everything else... Well that's just pure luck!
There is no "smart way" to play slots or dice. There is a very smart way into playing blackjack but not online, online it's still luck, only real life blackjack can be outplayed by someone very smart ^^

You are right mate. However, my parameter is myself - when I don't feel good already or when I feel way too good already, that is the time I stopped that session - plain and simple.
2155  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: February 23, 2017, 10:19:33 PM
Just withdraw my winnings and I found something different.
When I'm withdraw , I'm usually check tx id and blockchain said that transaction not found instead usually withdrawal transaction usually occur.
Do PrimeDice handle to much withdrawal in a day ?

Strange...
There is no reason for them to give you a tx id if they haven't done it...
They could simply tell you "ok we'll handle this in the next 12 hours"
So it's probably lagging that's all Smiley

Agree with you mate. If it is processed already, it should appear real time on blochain and if not, may take some few moments due to lagging. But hey, primedice is been in the industry for quite awhile already and have handled multiple deposits and withdrawals already - there system is good enough to experienced strange things like these.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: February 23, 2017, 10:17:10 PM
Gambling is the best tool to get lots of money in the shortest amount of time with the least skill required. In fact, nowadays the games are designed in such a way that it does not requires you to understand anything and you just move with the flow. The machine or the dealer say you win, you win and they say you lose, you lose your money. And that is why so many people get addicted cause the entry level is not high.

With that said, kids and young people are the usual victim of that, as they just need few dollars and they are good to go and gamble, and it become much easier because of bitcoin, not even their parents knowing what they are doing in their room, they could bet while doing their assignments...

With their young minds, they are very much prone to addiction as their thinking is not yet like that of an adult...  Smiley

I feel to this and a victim  Grin. LOL. Actually, young kids didn't think of risk at the beginning. They just want to bet and win. Also, environment also has a factor in it and of course family. If you are brought up in a family which gambles, most likely you will gamble at a young age.
those people who gamble at first time and mostly an under age players will never accept the fact that they are lost , they will do everything to make their money back , include to chasing the lost . in the end they didn't realize that they are too enjoy to play and get addicted , this shows how important to gamble responsibly , you might won't get addicted.

You are correct mate. When they are just aware of it, hopefully very soon, that they are more prone to losing than winning in gambling and that there is no easy way to win all the time, then they will give themeselves a chance of not getting addicted to it.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: February 23, 2017, 10:14:39 PM
No I am not rich yet from gambling but I am hoping I will hit the lottery jackpot so that I will be rich from gambling.  I doubt I can rich just by sportsbetting or playing dice or poker.  I have a very low bankroll and all I need is the lottery Jackpot for the millionaire thing.

There is really no wrong in wishing to win in the lottery - it is fine. However, your chances of winning in sportsbetting, dice, and playing poker, is more than winning in the lottery.
2158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: February 23, 2017, 10:11:43 PM
Oh god no I HATE THEM!!!

I perfectly understand why you would play dice, blackjack or roulette. I love roulette for example! The thrills it gives me are real!
But slot?
Who the hell can love playing slot??
If you like burning your money just give it to me! Don't play slots xD

There is a house edge of something like 40% on slots! That's completely crazy!!!
It eats your money so fast you don't even have time to see it disappear !!!

I could not agree more with you mate. Slot games doesn't give us any room to strategies on how we are going to play it - it is just based on pure luck and the percentage of you winning over the house is very slim.
2159  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: February 23, 2017, 10:09:01 PM
I guess the primary reason why people quit - not just on trading, but in all other profession is that, it is not for them. No matter how hard they try, it just won't work for them. If it works for them, they might not happy and find things which makes them happy.

If they on time realize that trading isn't for them and quit as result, then they have done the right thing in order to prevent themselves from experiencing further losses. There are enough people too stubborn to admit that they suck at trading. Instead, they keep gambling their money at all kinds of coins in order to find something that suits them. In normal circumstances you would say that they learned an expensive lesson, but these people keep making the same mistakes resulting in loss after loss.

That is correct. Trading is not for all, if you feel that trading is not for you and no matter how you will learn the skills and strategies and you are still not having winning trades, then better get out from there at once. But if you feel that you still like what you are doing even if you meet with challenges, then this is for you - winning trades will be in no time as you move forward.
2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do winning and losing gamblers have different personalities or habits? on: February 23, 2017, 10:02:55 PM
There aren't winning gamblers, there is only one time in their gambling when they won over and over. So difference is that when you win, doesn't matter if you are looser in past, happy face on both side is same. So what's about their personalities, it absolutely depends on person because there are one types which continues normally and anothers are trying to gamble more and more until they lost everything.
This statement is completely false, sure there are winning gamblers. People who've won the lottery and never gamble again after that are winning gamblers.
Sure, the majority of gamblers lose in the long term, but there are also some winners, even in the long term.

To answer OP's question, in certain skill based gambling games, winning players do have different personalities and habits than losing players. I'm thinking of poker players and people who do sportsbetting professionally.

It is all depend on skills and luck. If you luck one of these two, you will surely lose and will not be happy anymore. Of course, controlling emotions is part of the skilled acquired.
