1381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: August 14, 2017, 02:54:53 PM
Bitcoin transaction fee was really unfair until a month ago when transactions with very high fees are only confirmed fast and low fee transactions were left unattended. But now, thanks to segwit, after it has been activated since august 1,transaction fee has become low as it was before and now even transactions are confirmed very soon. Some went to the extent of even predicting that bitcoin would soon die due to high transaction fee problem. But now, bitcoin has started to march towards $5000 price.

You are correct there mate. I also noticed it when I just use the electrum dynamic transaction fee, the process was really fast compared to few months ago where it took some waiting time.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: August 14, 2017, 02:52:52 PM
that is why we need to control ourselves and view gambling as for fun using bankroll that we can afford to lose and try not to gamble regularly every single of the need in order not to get hooked and addicted to it.

If you want to have fun then simply do it somewhere else. Dont gamble because it is not something that you can have fun about. If you love to spend your money to have that kind of fun then you should spend it somewhere else because you might be able to have as much fun in another place rather than gambling

I am not saying that you just have fun and no money involved already. You can still have fun with the money you can afford to lose and not the huge amount of money that will have you go frustrated and stressful. I respect that there are many professional gamblers out there who are doing it for profit but whether we like it or not, majority are really on the negative bankroll - that is why, if we just spend money we can afford to lose and have fun, I don't think so it is not a good practice.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: August 14, 2017, 02:48:45 PM
Playing in smart way for me is in order to distinguish when you will stop playing and continue playing ,in terms of limiting yourself will work on it know your limits. To win more continue playing when you are felt lucky.

Determining when to stop is a smart way but you have to make that limits followed by your own. Not all the time gamblers will follow their set limits.
Because in the end that will just cost them to pursue gambling not in a smart way but in a desperate way.

This is what I have learned from a friend of mine who is a professional gambler, all of his bets are all pre-planned bets session. When it loses, it is part of the plan and when it wins, it is still part of the plan - hence, there is less to no emotion attached on it and all you have to do is execute that pre-planned bets.
1384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 14, 2017, 02:44:52 PM
Bank will not disappear because the root of all our activities to earn is because of money. Maybe a bank that will receive a bitcoins fund will be possible then it should be called bitcoin Bank.

The latter might occur but not really to disappear the banks. Bitcoin and bank can go hand in hand - but when that time happens, of course, bitcoin will already be regulated and that is not good because it defeats the really purpose of bitcoin where there are freedom and no regulation from the government needed.
1385  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: August 14, 2017, 02:41:51 PM
It is a good idea but with your gift should come with instruction on how to use bitcoin for those who are not yet introduced to bitcoin. It will go to waste if you give it and they don't know the value of it.

I see a brighter side as well if they don't value to it and just take bitcoin for granted. Because if after 10 years bitcoin will go very high in value and they will finally realized that they have some bitcoins, they will surely be very happy when that time happens Smiley
1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: August 14, 2017, 02:39:39 PM
Yes, many people choose bitcoin instead of fiat, coin-free bitcoin if taxpayer fiat, if I will choose both because with fiat I can use bitcoin by converting it into paper money.

Yes, many people choose bitcoin instead of fiat, coin-free bitcoin if taxpayer fiat, if I will choose both because with fiat I can use bitcoin by converting it into paper money.

Absolutely, many of us will of course choose bitcoin. Though there are instances that bitcoin drops but let's think of the positive sides that caters most of the time. We all know that fiat can be also exchanged into real cash through bitcoin but technically it is bitcoin's edge where many of us gain profits. Our lives dramatically change, the way we live in and the way we make friends. Therefore bitcoin is still the best.

You are right mate. Before, I just think of bitcoin as something kind of passive but to these days, I already see it seriously and with respect because I earn a lot already and have even convert most of my bitcoins into cash which was spent on something worth of the money. Although I earned quite ok with fiat money, but having additional earnings through bitcoin brings awesomeness Smiley
1387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: August 14, 2017, 02:35:31 PM
You can search for some faucets online which pays a very small amount or you can work for it like what I did when I started this stuff. It would really take you some time on working on it but it really pays you a good amount than the faucets.
Yeah faucets can give you the money that you want. But in return it is only a little satoshis. So you need to spend many months to get many. Just join in campaigns here it can solved your problems and inquiries.
yes but i think facuct take  a lot of time to give you good profit, i think signature campaign is the best way to earn money with out any investment.
Yeah i totally agree with you doing faucets is definitely a waste of time, it will only make you waste time and electricity. I also think that joining signature and bounty campaigns is the best way to earn without investing a single amount of money. I advice you to stop doing faucets and focus on joining signature or bounty campaigns.

Joining signature campaign is the best route to gaining bitcoin. This is really one of the basic and best source to get some bitcoins for new comers in bitcoin industry.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: August 14, 2017, 02:33:05 PM
There is one strategy with which you can roll only once and it's a guaranteed win chance 80% amount max you win cashout. Second strategy 1% of total bankroll chance 1% roll 100 times you might win once. Last the 50% strategy if you are winning continue playing as soon as you lose twice in a row stop

All these methods still no guaranty that one can always make money when they use these methods. That means still results depend on only luck and not based on any of these strategies. You just play these games for some time with the amount which you can afford to lose and enjoy those moments instead just chasing for the money.

I agree that there is no guarantee that a strategy can make you a 100% win or give you an advantage over the house.  As I believe, result is all random so no matter what your strategy is, winning and losing in a gambling game, especially dice game depends on the internal setup of the game.  You can try different method but you will realize that it is all the same.

The main reason you can't win is that the house takes a percentage of the dice rolls. It's usually around 2 to 3 percent. This gives the gambler only a 47 to 48 percent chance of winning each roll. Over the long run you will always lose even if the site is completely legitimate.

This is what they called house edge advantage and it is public knowledge already but still many people are really hoping to win just like what other high rollers are having. This is not always the case the most thing or common thing that will happen is that majority will going to lose overtime.
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 14, 2017, 02:26:52 PM
I dont like gold because i cant use it without be worryed to be stolen in the street, with all financial problems around the world this is a cenario i do avoid, soo gold i do avoid really, even i dont store at home, i do like bitcoin that allow me to walk without any issues since no one knows i do have bitcoins. Besides those bitcoi has raised a lot and keeps being able to double and triple its value, something gold isnt able anymore, countries does control its value, if i could earn some gold as we can earn bitcoins i would have both, but only online.

Investing to both bitcoin and gold is really a wise decision. As what the all time saying that we shall not put all of our eggs in one basket - hence, diversification is a key and sound investment portfolio.

1390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: August 14, 2017, 02:19:47 PM
Greetings!

While trading sometimes I drop back from my original plan. Such emotional decisions often bring loss cuz I tend to change orders on panic or when I mistakenly expect more potential income. How do you deal with that if you feel the same way?
Its been hard to manage emotions if you know your holding coins dropping. You need to think more before you do an action don't panic so that you can avoid losing more money. Much better to hold it until goes up again the price.

I can tell that there are many people that can relate to this at this time of writing this reply. Why? Because most of the altcoins are going far down right now maybe and most likely due to the crazy rise of bitcoin price at press time.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: August 14, 2017, 02:07:24 PM
I'm not accustomed to combining investments with gambling, in the sense that I invest my bitcoin in trading, and anything I get in pure gambling just for fun, no investment prospects, it's very effective to make our minds clearer even when we get defeat

I think the investing that we are trying to say here is the investment in the gambling site, and I would rather to do this investment rather than to gamble all the money that I do have, it is safer if we are going to invest rather than to gamble, because think, the risk if we are going to gamble is higher since we are competing against the house, while in investing, we are like helping the house and contributing our money and could make profits in time.

Once we are on the gambling sites investing, we have that feeling of peace because of the very fact that these casinos are built to earn and this can be well achieved through the so called house edge advantage.
1392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: August 14, 2017, 02:00:28 PM
I try not to sell Bitcoin at all, but to hold it  Smiley As for Altcoins - I try not to keep them at all, I don't see this as a reliable investment. I sell as soon as there is even a small winning percentage, so to say. I go about it intuitively.
I think this is the right time to sell bitcoin because their price was continues increasing. Moreover I think if we sell bitcoin now, we incurred a lot of income. But now if we cannot sell it in the future there were a possibility to earn lost.
No. i hope if we cannot sell it now and hold it for more time we cannot get loss because i am fully believe in the price of bitcoin that its price will be very soon hit 5000$. I think you make a plan to sell your bitcoin but that time you need to wait.

I just hope that the price of bitcoin will go as high as $10,000 -  that is what I have received on my email few months ago. I guess there is no reason why it will not reach that price giving its value and adaptation of investors as shown in the market today.
1393  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: August 14, 2017, 06:48:38 AM
I mostly trade bitcoin and some popular altcoins like ripple, litecoin, Ethereum, strats and lisk. I do buy on poloniex when the % of push back is above 25% and sell when the percentage of push up is above 15%. It means I trade based on percentage.
although i also like trading altcoin, but currently as i think that bitcoin has a very good potential and more chances are that bitcoin price will increase too much therefore i try to hold bitcoin and not to trade any other altcoin.

I agree with you mate because I just made a blunder few days ago where I bought some altcoins with a plan to quickly sale it but it turns out that it is now way more very deep - I think almost all of the altcoins are down now due to the increasing price of bitcoin.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: August 14, 2017, 06:46:55 AM
The greed of earning more money in quick time and a hope that I will surely win in next game makes me to come again and again to gambling sites and even if I control a lot still at the end I fail to follow it and finally get back to gambling to try my luck.

Greed is the reason that keeps us pushing through even we are not experiencing good times when we gamble. No denying that even myself is having a sense of greed and it keeps me coming back all the time.
I will respect your suggestion cause it is true but not all people purpose is for profit, some people back because they want a happiness coming from gambling. Happiness with some friends can't never changes with a money, so even they spend of money the friendship become deep.

If we always see in the negative side, gambling cause a bad result, like in emotions that will bring in more losing. But if we see in the positive side, gambling helps to relax and take out the stress. We back because we need to realize if this will result a good at the end. If we did not try we did not realize the mistakes.

I had to admit with myself that greed is the one that pushing me through. And also with your comment about having good friends, I'm sorry but I don't trust any of them. I had been with so many people but only few people are being treat as my real friends though the fun is different in gambling and having with them together.

You are right that it is not easy to win friends and be loyal to you without any beneficial return. It is really rare to find these kind of people because they are like as gem, gold, or diamond, they are just hard to find.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: August 14, 2017, 06:44:55 AM
If winning in gamble means to make profit. And if lost, is for fun because 'for fun' is most appropriate word to entertain yourself, isn't it? Big or small balance i use to gamble, profit is goal.
You can set your goal as per your preferences in this free world but the catch must be, what you are getting from gambling. I believe all the gamblers who are into gambling just for the reason of making profits will face only losses as gambling will work in that way alone. It would be much better not to gamble than aiming for profits.

In other words, gambling should not be viewed as for profits only - it should be for fun and entertainment and to relieve stresses in life. However, the moment we make it as our source of income and put all of our emotions to it, then that is quite dangerous.
1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: August 14, 2017, 06:42:32 AM
Why is someone get addicted to gambling once he gamble ?
I think the reason behind why people addicted in gambling is the prize and they know that by playing in gambling will help them to get more income easily and instantly. In addition to that, some people are too greedy in playing gambling and they lose a huge amount of money and bitcoin. They get addicted in gambling because they know that they can make easy money. However, playing in gambling doesn’t make you rich.

people is curious with the prize and they still playing although they know that they can lose all the money. for the first time, people is not thinking that playing gambling can get them into addicting but later if they have playing gambling in many times, then i am sure they will become an addicting gamblers.

Addiction is a much difficult to understand. Its not only about gambling. There is an addiction to a lot of different things such as cigaretes, Alcohol, etc.
Addiction is coming from the brain. There are people that are tend to addict more than others.

When you are that person who tends to get easily addicted to things that you are doing and you like, you should avoid at all cost activities or vices that is obviously prone to be addicted to it. It is us ourselves, who know very well our weakness and we should only focus on our strength.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: August 14, 2017, 06:13:01 AM
Trading is my favorite and although gambling seems more profitable but it isn't, even if you make 0.01% trading, it usually much more consistent than gambling which is just throwing a dice and can be profitable but can lead to losses of invested money capital.

when we very skillful trader where we have the skill to analyze the chart and current events, we are more likely to have many winning trades versus losing trades. It doesn;t follow though that we are going to lose - we lose some, we win some.
If you are skillful then you can make more winning trades than losing it is the benefits of learnings and experiences from the past trades along the road of learning and experiencing a big lose there's a gains. Our earnings is based on our skills not by luck that exist in gambling.

but I want to make it clear here that this will likely works on games that there is a need of some sort of skill set in order to play the game and the chances of winning to all players are even and no house edge advantage - I repeat, in terms of winning chance.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: August 14, 2017, 06:09:26 AM
If you build an experience in a game that do not depend 100% on luck i think gambling would be very profitable. Experience is useful and helpful in some games.

I don't believe that there is a game that doesn't require luck in a way, I don't know, or I'm just not thinking hard. Everything comes to luck, but I don't believe that you can measure it and how you obtain it. Some people do some rituals in order to increase their so called luck, and I don't agree with that knowing that it can't be measured.

Everything requires luck, even if it is just so pure skill based like soccer game. If you are not lucky then even if you have all the skills and experience like a football player , you will still not be able to score any goals at all. In conclusion if it is EV- or even EV+ it still requires luck to be profitable in the long term

Right, there is really still involves a luck factor but with the skill set you are going to possess, you have more chances of having a winning trades than a losing one versus there is no even chances because of the house ede advantage.
1399  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 14, 2017, 06:07:18 AM
I prefer gold because someday bitcoin will end. Even satoshi said it that the invented alogaritm will end and it will base on how many users of bitcoin. Though just to correct your post bitcoin has been around 8 years which startded 2009. I made some research and watch documentary how the bitcoin startded
Then let's enjoy while it last, there is no such permanent things in this world but the decentralization is something that is a great
idea that will remain. If bitcoin will not succeed then for sure there will be new coin that will emerge and replace its position now.

With the features of bitcoin, there is really a good potential that it will stay here for long if not forever. We just imagine the value of being non regulated and decentralized value of coin where we can use on our financial transactions? Not to mention that it has some sort of anonymity...
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: August 14, 2017, 06:05:21 AM
Nope. I think it depends on the person who is playing gambling because we all know that gambling is a little way of earning a little money but if that gambling makes you to become greedy in money of course that situation the gambling became wrong and there you will lose all your money eventhough you are rich, you will become poor.

It is very hard to earn money from gambling but atleast we can have fun. Sometimes if we want to have fun, we have to forget that we are playing for money. If we forget about it then we can have as much fun as we want . We cant have both because wanting to have money is stressing and not fun at all
yes  that is right that it is not such an easy job to earn money from bitcoin but still there are some people who are making good money from bitcoin.
To make money thru gambling is hard but that is true it's not impossible because there are people who are making money. In fact they are making more money since the value of bitcoin has increase significantly and that makes it more profitable for them if they didn't cash out right away.

If we observe on the high rollers, we can really see some people that are consistent in their stats a positive bankroll. These are somehow exceptional people who are doing good with gambling.
