1501  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: August 04, 2017, 08:26:23 AM
you should say "for now"
because someone creating machine learning systems like numerai. they will predict in the future.
Yeaaa that's true , numbers never lie unless the market itself manipulated.
I just think those people who call trading as an unpredictable job is the one who frustated did not get profit.
Indeed trading is unpredictable , but doesn't mean it is 100% you cannot predict the price right?
Agreed! The traders who have come across numerous failures consider trading unpredictable and similar to gambling whereas the reality is totally different.
The detailed research of the crypto market and the deep analysis of your desired coin do make you capable of predicting the future.

When you are keen enough and have honed your trading skills - fundamental and analytical, you certainly have more chances of having more winning trades than losing one. Unlike in gambling where everything is mostly based on pure luck.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: August 03, 2017, 02:51:10 PM
The thought that I'm gonna win next time keeps me coming back. The chance that it would be my lucky day and the desire to win drives me crazy to gamble.
That's common to us gamblers, we want to avenge our loses but it also one of the reason why we are too attached to gambling because regardless of what we think we will still have to face the reality and the reality is we lose more often and in the long run we lose.
Instead of focusing on the money that we can get, I guess it is wise to focus more on the fun, that way the risk is low and you can appreciate gambling as you enjoy it.
Yeah! And the only way to ease the pain of losing is to enjoy every game that you play. Its easy to accept the result of the game if your reason is only to have fun. Happiness can bring good vibes to you, that's why you can think many ideas and strategies in order to win the game.

You said it! We should only gamble for fun and only with the amount of bankroll that we can easily afford to lose. Never ever spend more than you can afford and gamble for profit because most of the time you will really going to lose due to house edge advantage.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: August 03, 2017, 02:46:15 PM
While there are many way to get a steady income, the most popular one is investing in stocks and bonds or perhaps you can find a fund manager  Grin. If you're talking steady income in crypto world then there's only one way, POS coins although this may be risky because of price volatility but you're investing in a coin and getting some returns from it  Cheesy
to i do not think that there are so many ways through which we can get steady income from bitcoin, to me i think the only way through which we can get a study income from bitcoin is signature campaign. but i do not think that there is any other way through which we can get a study income from bitcoin.

Signature campaign will give you income till it exists and once it stops you will be left with no income as to change and join other campaign can be time consuming and may be you will left with no income for one or two weeks so I don't consider it as an stable income.

Signature campaign is not a stable income but surely a viable income. As long as you join some trustworthy and long time running signature campaigns, you are good and worry less that the signature campaign you join to will end real soon. Just like in my case, I have been on this campaign for too long now.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: August 03, 2017, 02:43:44 PM
cause everyone is greedy, they wanna make easy money with fun, so people prefer making money in this way, but most people failed because casinos have house edges, we lose in the long run, so we should stop when we earn, although it is difficult for us
Well, some people are too greedy becaus they know that it will help them to make more money easily. In addition to that, as of now many people already addicted in gambling and they do not think how much money they lose in gambling. Lastly, playing in gambling sites or gambling doesn't make your rich but it will make you stress and greedy.
People always seek for betterment in life that’s why some will engage in gambling wish for luck, even if there is only a slim possibility of winning but still people will try, once they will win and they can get money in an instant there pleasure will set in and will keep on trying that’s an addiction and you cannot realizes that you are spending more money than winning.

I always make an advice to friends that gambling is not the best solution to solve our financial leads. The fact is, yes some people get lucky and win big amount of money but they are really just few of them considering the fact that there is housed edge advantage. Not to mention also that even when people are winning already, they tend not to stop playing because of their greed that they want to earn more but end up losing it all.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: August 03, 2017, 02:30:48 PM
Just curious since the last discussion I had was about gambling vs trading. I know trading can seem to be a bit of a gamble as well, but I see it a little bit like poker. It's a combination of math and psychology. Maybe not the same ratio though, just generalizing  Tongue

i choose both option since i mostly go gambling if i got free time , to be honest never do trading before because im not smart enough to learn and observe btc and alts price , and since gambling is pure luck and waste of time i think , probably i wanna start trading if i got decent funds to cover my losses

Trading is a serious business to take. If we really want to earn big with trading, we need to equip ourselves with all of the trading knowledge and skills as much as we can. It will always be a continuing process - in every trade we make, we either learn or earn. Unless we don't learn from previous trades, we cannot go on profitable with trading.

In gambling, it is based on pure luck except with games that requires skills like poker and the like.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way for steady income on: July 31, 2017, 04:41:41 PM
Have a regular job that will give you  stable income and just keep bitcoin as an extra income so even if there is no scope for you in earning from bitcoins then you always have a full time job which will help you on your daily expenses.

That is the secure way of doing it and I am doing it now. I used to focus on gambling and have no fallback when I was not successful in the gambling industry. A secure job is good but we should also think and plan to have our own company versus just working for them.
1507  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: July 31, 2017, 04:37:33 PM
Yes, i would give bitcoin as a wedding gift, this gift is precious to give for them because i know they appreciate bitcoin and they might investing in bitcoin, its an investing in the future. Someone that give you a bitcoin is a great thing because you work hard for it just to give it, and they will must appreciate the value of bitcoin. I'm make sure this gift i know they will ready to dive into cryptocurrencies. I hope couple appreciate this.

I will after the August 1 and see where bitcoin is heading and if it is heading upward trend, that is the time that I will send it as a wedding gift offer - I don't want to give them if I myself is not certain yet of what will happen after august 1.
1508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: July 31, 2017, 04:34:49 PM
i go with a % also.

but it is all in the speculation! you do some analysis, for example it can be TA and also combined with the news you get from here and there and then see how much rising potential the thing you've invested in has.

for example when you invest in an altcoin that has been at a fixed price for some time with a decent high volume (indicating accumulation) and you find a news that can cause a rise, you can easily aim for a 100% profit in a couple of days and sell there.

another example is when you find an altcoin that is randomly getting pumped. or an altcoin that is big, like the top 10 coins, and see them rising, it is best to aim for a smaller % and dump there. for example it can be 5% to 15%

it is also based on your strategy. some people prefer a much longer investment so they aim for bigger % and some do more of a short term, day trading kind of thing and they aim for a smaller %.

**** and for bitcoin: i only buy and HODL Grin

I usually go with a 15-30% on stocks but when it comes to Crypto, I have started watching gains over the past 3 days and all of them are currently sitting at 20%+ and another almost 100% in three days. Much more volatile, but now I'm stuck with the decision as all decisions to sit and wait or sell.

I guess my hardest struggle is finding those coins that provide legitimate and easy to find news. I research everything before going into it, but there isn't an abundance unless you are in BTC, ETC, or XRP.

I need more BTC to HOLD as you state. Lol.
It is a good thing to set price target in trading where you actually have a goal to hit in a specific trading. And after you hit that price that is the time you are going to decide whether to buy more , wait or to sell it on trading site. Because if you want to earn in trading you have to monitor the price and learn the specific trend of coin you chosen to trade. And afterwards just make sure to always make sure that in all your tradings you have the right to decide for you to control your own trading not just depending on other people.

There should always be a pre panned trading strategies where all you have to do really is just open a target buy order and sell it automatically on a target sell order. However, it is easier said than though though Smiley
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin without investment on: July 31, 2017, 04:31:14 PM
Hey Bitcoiners? I'm desperate to start earning BTC
I'll do any kind of online activity as long as there's a Bitcoin payment. Where do I start?
If you mean that where to earn bitcoin without buying one is in this forum. Just join in a signature campaigns or bounty campaigns and follow their rules as simple as that and there you will gain a lots of bitcoins and other coins like waves and ethereum but you can convert it into bitcoins everytime you wanted to. And yes, there will you start, I started im that also and until now I'm in a signature campaigns hoping to gain big profit, I mean a lots of bitcoins and start to make money. A lot of money.

signature campaign is the easier route here to get  some bitcoins for you. There are also people that offer some bitcoins for your services - just be cautious though and double check if they are credible.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: July 31, 2017, 04:05:22 PM
I do not think we can rely on bitcoin for the long term. Because of the nature of human passions that will eventually make a defeat when gambling I've proven that gambling is just making up
but i think now bitcoin traders and investors have become so much mature and  they are mostly holding their bitcoin in panic situation. and the current situation is the best example of that.
I really think we can still rely on bitcoin in a long time and the increasing demand for bitcoin to date that makes the price go up proves that bitcoin is still reliable. desire of greed and unable to control themselves from lost or win makes the gambler lose if that person can control himself gambling long-term profits is possible.
You mean to buy bitcoin. Great idea because the bitcoin price is going very high which will give us boost to buy. So we should buy now to make our profit in to 40x. Because it is the only last time to buy in a good prices because the bitcoin will go to in the end of year to $4000 USD which is quite more. So it is time to buy in $2770 USD to make our profit $2000 USD.
In gambling we can get the success with it

I guess I would agree with you that it is still a good time to buy bitcoin at present time because its price value is really promising. In fact, I have read some articles somewhere that one of the analysts said that bitcoin could reach up to $10k per bitcoin in the next 5 - 10 years.
1511  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: July 31, 2017, 04:01:36 PM
Trading is my preferred way to earn more money. It's risky, but i think it's worth the profit we get. Or maybe by doing more useful things will make us produce more than before.

Trading is really a good way to earn money when you know what you are doing. This is just not a simple buy low sell high because it needs a good skill in analyzing the fundamental and technical side of trading so that we will have a greater chance of more winning trades than losing one.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: July 31, 2017, 03:42:53 PM
I have noticed so many players are just gambling for the sake of profits only. But majority of them loses most of the games eventually as they are not smart players.

So how should we gamble in a smart way so that we do not get more frustrations due to continuous losses?
To avoid more losing, the smart way you can do is to stop. Gambling is not profitable, it will bring our life to nothing. If you involved in gambling  the smart way you can do is to control yourself to become addicted, used this as entertainment and don't spend too much time instead find new hobbies that will alternate to gambling. First, you need to think what will the possible result of gambling in our life to avoid blaming yourself in the end.
big check.there is no smart way to play gambling even if gou are genius .you cannot be sure on what would really happen in gambling.you cant predict it.that is why gambling is not profitable.dont be  addited on it .
Our fate depends on how we handle ourselves when we are gambling, also it depends on our goal because every goal has different steps or method to achieve it. If we are only looking for entertainment then it's better because it is already assume that we can play this expensive kind of entertainment and we should remain to be fun oriented and will not change it to profit oriented.

The moment we treat gambling as our source of income and is aiming for high profit is the same moment we are tossing ourselves to a life of stress and disappoint. The fact that there are a house advantage signals that the casino will always likely win against us. However, it is true that if we just play for fun, then everything is cool and no hurt feelings when we lose a session.
Agreed. The smartest way to gamble is to set limits and to enjoy yourself in the process without expecting any profits.

Correct! and the good parameter as to when to stop is when you are no longer enjoying and the fun is already replaced with fear and greediness. That is a good sign to stop so that it will not aggravate and affect you emotionally.
1513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 31, 2017, 03:40:56 PM
Bitcoin can not replace the currency because bitcoin is virtual money, but even virtula money but bitcoin has bigger value than real money, because bitcoin value can change fox.
So bitcoin can give something a good value for development.

bitcoin can well be just for investment and fiat money for typical day to day transactions. I would rather not use bitcoin to buy stuff online if I have some fiat money to use because the value of bitcoin is promising - I would just keep and hold of it along with investment here and there using my bitcoin.
1514  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: July 31, 2017, 03:36:43 PM
It's profitable only if you invest a lot of money in it otherwise would be waste of time and money
You do not need a lot because a decent amount is already a good start when choosing to invest in a casino.
We already know it's profitable so we also have that patience because it needs time to increase our investment, it's not an overnight success.
I will also agree with you about the gambling sites. Though there is a great risk on gambling sites, the chances of profit are also bigger. We can get rich within short time. Gambling mostly depends on luck. You don’t need specific strategies to win on gambling sites. All you need is to pray for your good luck.

There is a qualifying statement about getting rich quickly when in terms of investing to online casinos that accept third party investors like us. We can get rich litteraly if we invest very big amount of money as a little house profit means a big gain for you when you invested big - but the risk is getting higher though.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: July 31, 2017, 03:33:53 PM
i doubt it.
criminal activities were happening even before bitcoin. for example the ransomware that everyone is talking about these days have been around a very long time before bitcoin was created!

and besides since bitcoin doesn't offer real anonymity it can not really help the criminals as much as things like hard cash helps them.

criminals use bitcoins for payment only ...

Criminals use bitcoin as payment they are relatively connected to each other. Bitcoin has a feature that is decentralized and cannot controlled by government or anyone from the position. but it is still traceable if they just effort on tracing transactions.

Because bitcoin transactions are public, there is really a chance to track if we really need to but it takes a lot of efforts and resources to do that - not to mentioned if the people illegally transacting it uses different kinds of wallets and it will aggravate the difficulty of tracing it.
1516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: July 31, 2017, 03:29:12 PM
as i am a newbie.. i know nothing about trading... what should i do to start trading and multiply my btc.. guys please help me

Trading with very small capital may be difficult. But there is another alternative: use your bitcoin for altcoin trading, slowly your bitcoin will increase even though it takes a very long time.
Difficult means in what sense ? In profit making and efforts taken ratio ?

Trading with small capital is highly suggested only in the beginning days of trading career because it will ensure you will not be losing big while you are learning. Hence you should not look for big profit making in your beginning days itself. Because avoiding losses will be very big challenge for all the traders and hence for beginners too.

I agree that if you are just starting trading cryptocurrencies, it is highly advised to start with the little amount of bankroll and as you become more skillful with your trading, that is the time you will increase that bankroll. And I think it would be a good thing to mindset that we treat everything as just numbers - only that we will going to increase the amount of bankroll but the strategy is still the same.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: July 31, 2017, 03:26:15 PM
No, it's not. Bitcoin transaction fees are not fair. They are not good either to attract more bitcoin users. And the last thing we want right now is people to lose trust in an invention that has already gained fame but is still very young. Bitcoin is still getting to its top place. Transaction fees is one problem that pull it down. Although I am very positive that it will be settled in due time very soon.

I think when bitcoin cap is removed - there will be no limit of maximum bitcoin of 21 million coins, then I guess transaction fees will go down but if there is a max cap, transaction fees will go to the roof.

Is it possible to get more than 21 million bitcoins? It seemed to me that this number was limited.
The problem with transactions should be solved, since many users repel large commissions. And we now need to involve in the bitcoin community the maximum number of users

What I meant by this is that the maximum amount of bitcoin in total will be 21 million bitcoins and from there will be no more additional bitcoins as it reached the maximum cap of its total number - when this is reached, mining fee will be very high soon unless if that cap will be removed - I am not just sure if it will be removed though.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alts fall, Bitcoin falls ... where is the money going? on: July 31, 2017, 02:33:39 PM
How would supporters of altcoins not trying to say that bitcoin passed their position but it is not. He remains No. 1 in the world of crypto currency and any problems with bitcoins is immediately reflected on all, without exception, altonah. Even when the price of bitcoin dropped to $ 2,100 a decided to buy a bitcoin and I was right.

Bitcoin is just like the father of all altcoins. Their reputations and potentials are mostly coming from bitcoin - not 100% but at least with bitcoin, people already have mindset and knowledge about bitcoins and there is easy adoption to altcoins by them.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 31, 2017, 02:29:36 PM
Absolutely wrong. What do you think? How it can be right? You should  be a lucky gambler/punter  to win every single bet/session. Proper money management and pure luck are the enough excuses for "winner". İf you can not earn your expenses it is called Gambling Smiley

If our mindset with gambling is for fun and entertainment, I don't think so that gambling is 100% wrong. It may even relieve our stress and just have a good time provided that we are only using money that we can afford to lose and that we are ok even if we can't get it back again.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: July 31, 2017, 02:25:58 PM
Youre gambling too much if you feel that.
I would advise you just to limit your gambling budget to something you can afford to lose and not gamble with amounts that you would feel bad if you bust.

As what the popular saying goes in the gambling industry - if it is no longer fun anymore, better stop gambling on that particular session. We should only treat gambling as for entertainment and not for profit. Unless gambling that involves skills where we can capitalize on our skills to win and not more on luck only.
