2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GIVEAWAY][DIME] help dimecoin to add on bter.com on: January 10, 2014, 06:21:49 AM
publicly destroy 30 billion of your premine and I think then there would be some interest in your coin but until then you have premined to much.

Dear bter,
I really want the dev of dime to become very rich, so please add dime.
The coin is very innovative and he has really earned his 37 billion premine.  I am sure you will have lots of buyers, as they are difficult to get hold of otherwise, unless you can reply to a thread, click like on Facebook, follow on twitter or a bunch of other rubbish.

Thanks!
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [INB]Investmentbarter---IPO!!! on: January 09, 2014, 02:24:15 PM
I'm sticking with my "lending to the Nigerian royal family" investment policy.  I have a feeling it's going to come good this time.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much coin I have? Help, probably ripped off! on: January 09, 2014, 01:54:43 PM
What if they guy doesn't accept paypal?
I recently sold some Quark on ebay without accepting Paypal, and no one opened any cases, and everyone got the Quarks they wanted.

I always sent 1 to start with, asked them to confirm receipt, then sent the rest.  It would be obvious to eBay that they are scamming if the opened a case.
I also wouldn't refund, and couldn't be made to either.
2164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have any crypto? on: January 09, 2014, 10:26:17 AM
I imagine I will go into a McDonalds with BTC, LTC, QRK, XPM and PPC wallets on my phone.  I will want to buy a burger, but I don't have any burgercoins, so I trade for burgercoins, but I want a drink, so I need drinkcoins, and fries, I need friescoins!

That appears to be the dream of the Alts forum! Or just one good fast secure fair crypto would do...
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Coin on: January 08, 2014, 12:16:48 PM
What other methods would you envision to compensate the developers and early-adopters?

None. Satoshi has done 99.99% of the hard work for you anyway.

Very funny. Nobody works for free.  Do you?

No one asked you to make the coin, in fact several people have asked you not to.  That's why you shouldn't be paid.  I can't turn up at a random job tomorrow and demand payment for it.
Please stop making coins. I look on this forum almst every day, but I don't recognise lots of the coins.  It is beyond a joke now. Please stop.

Bugger, best case scenario is that Block_Eruptor isn't a scammer but he needs to sell his frozen to pay people back.
Worst and more probable case - he is a scammer.

I liked Frozen too Sad
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Added to WorkForCrypto.com - 1/10/2014 | Win | Mac | Linux | on: January 08, 2014, 07:06:03 AM
Watched for some time and i see only one person who wants to sell his coins with fake support mini-walls.
1st. If someone with litle or moderate amount coins blocking path to his sell order he can step before this order or step more before this order until price is lower than his average and then he buy this order.
2nd. He jumps higher and make little buy support and become angry if someone sell to him. He adds all he bought to his sell order and make his order first at sell (by jumping over big orders or buy buying little orders). After noone shows interest to his sell order he buys some from his order to show interest. After sometime he repeats this.
3rd. Really now there are no much interest in buying. Only this person with his fake buy support..
It's a common mistake to think that the market is one person. It is probably at least a few traders. There are bots that autotrade so they won't be angry, rather just resubmit any taken orders to try to lock in profits.

There are lots of similarities with penny stocks. Everything is very short term, if you promise the world in 6 months time the price will fall. People also forget the downs when it goes up. The price is down over3 days but people celebrate because it is up in the last 6hours.  The "I wouldn't want to be out over the weekend" "average down" and "the paid deramper"  ideas are all also true of penny stocks markets.

People tend to buy high and sell low, the price is low now so buying will also be low.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most profitable CPU only coin? on: January 07, 2014, 07:48:17 AM
To be honest particle is not suited for cpu mining.
The current difficulty is insane 1355.10140618.

@bitoffer I am checking out slicify.I was using digitalocean till now.
Thank you for the valuable information.
That's what happens when it it popular. Quark has 3500 difficulty and Frozen 2500, so 1355 actually isn't that bad.
You could find one with a very low difficulty, but then it will most likely never make an exchange.
2169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SEC] Secondscoin | Super secure hashing | CPU mining | Official update on: January 07, 2014, 07:44:02 AM
I too have the source, but point is the developer is gone...

Some new dev adopting this coin?

I think dev in some rest, waiting for return ... Smiley

Looking at your sig, it is a good thing that some QRK clone coins are dying off.  Not exactly a surprise either. About 6 more could go and there'd still be enough choice!
2170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | NoPremine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Update Now!!! on: January 06, 2014, 04:36:28 PM
good coin but necessity exchange
Its on coinedup...
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [FZ] Frozen | CPU and GPU | NoPremine | Rare | Fast Transactions | Update Now!!! on: January 06, 2014, 11:51:28 AM
It looks like Frozen is winning out in the CPU coin war. Particle started very strong but now if falling away. Atom and Molecule aren't being mined as much and Dime is a premined joke!
Frozen is even catching Quark!  (difficulty 2500 v 4000) With only 7,777,777 coins to be minted to start with, the price should be higher.

I'm expecting Cryptsy to pick it up, it will then go on CoinMarketCap and 0.00025 will be in play.

69th out of 70, go on Spots, you can do it! Only Fedoracoin to "overtake"!
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Next coin going on WorkForCrypto.com | Win | Mac | Linux | on: January 06, 2014, 01:58:11 AM
Looks like the "weak hands' or 'loss cutters' have won out. Hopefully I can make back someof the losses on one of the million new active coins.
Can the last one out turn off the lights?
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Next coin going on WorkForCrypto.com | Win | Mac | Linux | on: January 05, 2014, 12:05:14 PM
Well Tickets have been doing very well in the last couple of weeks, Spots time will come, hopefully sooner rather than later. Igotspots doesn't keep to his own timelines very well!

Hardfork to fix all issues, added to workforcryto (not the next coin, devcoin will be the next one), and Silver Peercoins only buy able with spots are all overdue now.  Let's hope they all happen soon.

Only the hard fork is overdue. The rest don't have a timeline on them. I shouldn't have even mentioned either one, yet. The Peercoins also aren't silver

There are two types of coins. FOTM coins and long term coins. Spots is a long term pick
Well I'm not going to go back and quote, but before the end of 2013, in the next few days, in the next week etc have all be uttered. Admittedly I assumed the coins would be silver, especially as they can be bought with Spots... But no matter.

I see why people are selling out. No alts are long term picks, there are so many new coins that if something isnt done soon, spots will die.

Reading that dev coins will be the next coin added to workforcrypto was a bit of a kick in the teeth. Maybe this thread should be renamed.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL]Should PotatoCoin be premined? How much? Why/Why Not? on: January 04, 2014, 03:03:51 PM
You haven't given me a lot of information to go on here. Where in Africa? Do you know anything about potato farming, business or international trade? Why focus on growing a global business when there are people subsistence farming the same crop?

I voted yes, 2%, surely the devs of this coin deserve a nice holiday   Roll Eyes
Are you experts in international charitable causes? Are you potato farmers? Is it coincidence that you want to release this project now when loads of alts are being released?

Unless the answer to all 3 is yes, I reckon it's an excuse to get money to volunteer in Africa, fair enough but call a spade a spade.

Congrats to Frozen for hitting Coinedup.com.   It's amazing, all of those giveaways are moving back to the top of the forums all the sudden.
I believe it's the first QRK clone to hit an exchange, great work!  I guess some of the Dime/Atom/Molecule/Grain/Seconds miners must be a bit worried now!
Next up - Cryptsy!
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify a Troublesome Altcoin on: January 03, 2014, 09:59:22 AM
Really, at the end of the day what's the difference between a premined coin and any other coin that was initially mined by a small set of individuals?  This whole premine=scam rhetoric is nothing more than FUD to drive competing alts down.
In a free market, why would you choose to back a premined coin, when there are not premined coins available?
I am sure the devs can mine enough to get rich if there coin is sucessful, premining is just a pump and dump idea.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPT] | Next coin going on WorkForCrypto.com | Win | Mac | Linux | on: January 03, 2014, 08:41:13 AM
Spots is 63rd out of 66 on coinmarketcap, and the 7th least traded coin on Cryptsy over the last 24h.

People often ask which coins could be the next Quark and increase by several fold in little time.  Spots certainly has the potential to do that! It would be a 30fold increase to get it to Tickets level, and given that the Dev is the same (pretty sure anyway), and the plans for both coins are somewhat similar, there is definite potential.

I'm not selling at 0.000035! 0.0001 seems about fair
