2181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cointelegraph main facebook page was closed or deleted? on: October 12, 2019, 03:28:57 PM
It is on my end or did Cointelegraph-[EN] facebook page actually got closed or deleted? I've been reading a lot of news from this page for a long time and recently I discover that it was not showing any post on my newsfeed and when I tried to search the page, the only thing I can see is the other language version of the page. Not so sure if I was blocked though I've never comment on any of their posts.

Can anyone access the Cointelegraph facebook page? here is their official facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/cointelegraph which I got from their Twitter page https://twitter.com/cointelegraph

Don't jump into some conclusion, there might be some huge update with their page. If there is bad news their twitter page will tell us about it. when there is nothing on the other social media page the don't worry maybe it's just some technical problem about their page and will think about it. I was waiting for their post about the SEC decision on Telegram TON. I wonder what's wrong, thankfully it's not just me, the problem is there page.

They have all of their other languages Facebook pages intact. The operator of the default English page might have messed up with the settings to make it a private one or they are experiencing some troubles with the facebook as it's been quite a time but they haven't solved the issue yet. Their language pages and twitter are updating the news as usual.
2182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: October 12, 2019, 03:05:00 PM
Hardware wallets are made to be used as a safe device to store your crypto so they ought to be safe. But still the safety of your coins largely depends on the ways you use and store them and their seeds and private keys. A carelessly used hardware wallet maybe riskier than a properly used desktop wallet or even a web based wallet.
2183  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The ultimate weapon of radical feminists in India. Article 375. on: October 11, 2019, 01:12:02 PM
Article 375 of the Indian constitution basically equates all men as rapists on the simple acknowledgement of a woman.

Basically the article says, that if there's a sexual act between a man and a woman (doesn't matter if it was consensual), and at a later time, the woman goes to court and files a complaint that there was no consent from her, the man will be immediately arrested and put on charge of rape and given 10 years prison term.

The burden to prove innocense falls on the man.

So, if there's an act of consensual sex, and a woman simply wants to blackmail the man, she can do it freely, and the law says it's okay.

It boils my blood that a country that claims itself to be largest democracy and of liberty has put all men under the bracket of rapists with just the push of a button of a woman.

Should then the men be allowed legally to have cameras in the bedrooms so if a woman later issues a charge, the video will be a proof of her consent?

What can be done to counteract such a heinous act and the misuse of such insane power of women?

Please share your opinions!

This is same for almost every countries around the world. It's considered a female won't fake about the matter. And no female who have provided a consent would ever blame her partner.

It's not that a court would not look for any evidence but there are enough to prove you were with some female at some time in a closed place, you could be convicted on the sole testimony of the female.

There are many cases of conditional consent which involves promises or blackmailing that can't be considered a full consent. A consent of child or a mentally unstable person and even a person with depression in some case can't be considered as a consent.

So, if you are having sex with someone, make sure she's okay with it and would be okay even in the future.
Having a monogamous relation would save you from many troubles. But again you need to keep her happy as martial rape are also a punishable crime in most of the world.
2184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where do you stand on abortion? Let's have a civil debate. on: October 10, 2019, 03:03:38 PM
If someone is not able to speak for themselves, it don't mean we could kill them at our will. Abortion at will should be punished as a murder unless the birth may lead to medical complications to the mother and prescribed by a doctor.
Studies have shown that fetus feels. And even most of the civil laws accepts the right of the fetus on the wealth as a probable person.
2185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump opens the doorway for Turkey to attack, then warns them of consequences. on: October 09, 2019, 03:12:44 PM
This is a deliberate move of US to let Turkey occupy the Syrian Kurd area. As for US, US force cannot stay there indefinitely and Kurd is an insignificant population without a nation and not a useful ally for the US. Letting Turkey march on Kurd would bring Turkey in favor of US while deteriorating the relation between Syria/Russia and Turkey.

No. Kurds are the only who'll suffer. It's a win win for other powers. Turkey and Iraq would get rid of Kurd separatist. Syria would get back it's land occupied by the Kurds.
It's a deliberate move from the US, Russia, Turkey, Syria and Iraq to get rid of a problem in the Levant area, i.e. Kurds.
2186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we lots of people got scam easily on: October 09, 2019, 09:01:21 AM
To add to that, we decide too soon without making a proper research. A quick search could change our mind about the project.
Another reason that's highly applicable with me is we trust something blindly. Putting all your money is a single project however legit it may seem is always a bad idea. Don't put more than 10% of your funds in a single altcoin.
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Biggest Wash Trading Exchange Bitforex CEO Speaking at Blockchain life in Russia on: October 09, 2019, 01:32:07 AM
They are having a good business model. He just needs to make sure he tells some good lies to make it all seem normal. Bitforex is totally depended on coinmarketcap.com for their existence. If coinmarketcap unlisted bitforex from their reference exchanges, 90% of volume in the exchange would disappear. They are earning comissions while tokens are trading within themselves to get listed in CMC. So, its a win win for everyone. I hope CMC too gets it's cut from there.
2188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Percentage commission cryptocurrency on: October 09, 2019, 01:10:01 AM
I`m looking for cryptocurrency with percentage transaction comission. Example: using bitcoin, I have to pay fixed amount of satoshi, no matter I transfer 0.0001btc or 100btc. But is there a cryptocurrency, with which I have to pay 0.01 coins to transfer 10 coins and 1 coin to transfer 1000 (comission 0.1%)?

You can't transact 10 cents with a 1 cent fees, not at least in the bitcoin blockchain. You can try lightning network or the bitcoin pegged tokens if that does your job done.
Why would you want to pay more? The current fees are one of the lowest and they can be even lowered if you are not in a hurry.

2189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Fully Decentralized World is Possible? on: October 09, 2019, 01:05:27 AM
Can we truly have a fully decentralized system? For example, we control our own money, properties, internet etc. If we can, how can we achieve this and what obstacles can we face? I want to control my money and I don't want my government to control what I see on the internet. There are ways of overcoming some of these but the whole internet is coming from the ISPs. We may have a satellite(Elon Musk) for internet which makes the decentralization easier for us.

Decentralized world would be an utopia society. It would be free of personal ideology and bias. It would be really difficult to achieve this in the earth but could be the only option for colonizing different parts of other planets. The colonizers should be selectively chosen to restrict any extremism and they be judged by their performance and results.
2190  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I sent passport id photo... on: October 08, 2019, 09:54:03 AM
I realize I am actually an idiot but I didn't check how dangerous it really is before doing it. Anyway all those services seemed legit.

I sent passport id photo for kyc on skrill and paxful, and also bitcoin exchanger in estonia(EU). I picked the last one on popular site bestchange.com, it is working for 1.5 year...

Do you think I have to change passport or this is just a panic? I am thinking about this all for several days...

Skrill and Paxful are legit companies and your info would be probably safe. There are really no alternative to payment processor like Skrill so there's no other options than providing them with your KYC so is paxful for some countries. But I'm not sure about the exchanger you mentioned. Exchanger asks KYC when you are exchanging large amount in or from fiat and not necessarily with a mal-intention but I'd still try my best not to provide my KYC as much as possible.
2191  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freewallet.org scam ,no reason to say have is risk, on: October 08, 2019, 09:35:04 AM
Thank you for your reminder. I didn't pay much attention to this before. It was only recommended by my friends.
It used to be good for half a year, but I don't know why this time isand it is so complicated.

The fact that freewallet is shit and that people should avoid using a wallet service that does not give you your own private key is cause enough for anyone to shun them aside. I have made numerous warnings in the past about them, sad to see that not many people care about how scammy freewallet is until it is their money that is stuck in there.

I too had a bad experience with the freewallet wallet. They had an insane withdrawal fees in the past. They have recurring issues with withdrawals. They are affiliated to minergate, one of the controversial company that develops mining software and provide a mining pool. And they are also related to Changelly, so users should also be cautious while using Changelly exchange.
2192  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption rising in NGO sector: Report on: October 08, 2019, 09:17:02 AM
see

https://decrypt.co/9966/bitcoin-cryptocurrency-adoption-ngo-chaarity-report

Quote
The number of charities accepting crypto donations has doubled in North America, Europe and Australia, says the 2019 Global NGO Technology Report.

But the numbers are still small. While the number of charities accepting crypto donations has doubled in North America, Europe and Australia, cryptocurrencies still form only 2 percent of total donations.

Africa has the largest amount of NGOs accepting crypto with 5 percent, Asia follows with 4 percent, while Latin America trails with 1 percent.

The real question is whether the NGOs immediately sell their crypto for fiat, or whether they then use it to buy services in the target sector using crypto. lf they did the latter, then adoption would soar in places like Africa.

Many of crypto donations are facilitated by crypto services which turns the received coins into fiat on receiving and provides the receiver in fiat deducting some commission. For a multinational NGO, redeeming crypto in the target country would have been a better option but the problem comes in exchanging them in the target country as most of them are third world countries and have nearly zero adoption or full restrictions on crypto use.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think Voodoo works in Gambling Games? on: October 08, 2019, 09:11:56 AM
I have always heard of people who win games with voodoo(charms/certain spiritual power).I know Voodoo is everywhere. They are said to use it to get accuracy in their predictions, permutation, casinos, throwing of dice etc while this will help to reduce to the bearest minimum their risks of loosing.
So, Do you also think this is true?

I voodoo my bets and I win them sometimes while I lose others. So, I think it's again luck.
If people were to win with voodoo, witches would have been the richest person in the world. But they aren't, neither are the future predictors or magicians.
So, it's not hard to realize voodoo is fake.
2194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS TRX the King of Entertainment Coins on: October 08, 2019, 07:13:17 AM
There are so many coins for entertainment?

However is TRX - TRON the best at it?

TRX could bring about mass adoption.

Most of the people look TRX (TRON) as a scam project because of Justin. No one can deny that Justin is a kind of show boy who shilling his products without any base. He is founder of the term “announcement of announcement”

We also see BTT and Wink. They also seem as scam projects from community. So much people lost so much money because of Justin shillings.

In these conditions I do not see any future at Trx and other Tron products.

Surely Justin is just a attention seeking person. He have no concrete achievements and his self proclaimed involvement with tron is going to hurt Tron the most. Tron could have been a better project if he were able to develop it like a community project rather than exclaiming himself as the father or tron.
2195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful of bounty campaigns with "download app" requirement on: October 08, 2019, 01:38:19 AM
I am not discouraging hunters to join bounty campaigns that requires you to download their app or wallet. This is just a friendly reminder to everyone that we should be careful since there have been some malicious apps used to collect personal information and steal funds from mobile/pc. There were also instances where hackers were able to exploit the vulnerabilities of some apps.

If you still wish to continue and download their app, at least take some measures like not storing your private keys/seed phrase in your phone/pc to protect your funds.

You can also read guides posted by some of the forum members here.

Have a safe bounty hunting!

Unlike windows, Android is a safer platform and they don't have full access to sensitive info and right to read over other apps. You can just read their permission and never give administrator privilege and display over other app permission to them. It's also wise not to store your wallet's backup without any encryption in your storage.
2196  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did we actually really land on moon? on: October 08, 2019, 12:36:53 AM
Ok, don't throw me into the same basket for the believers of conspiracy theories.

I believe Earth is NOT flat. I don't believe there are aliens in Area 51.

But this question is factually not very convincing and it is, did we actually land on moon in 1969.

There are many compelling evidences, facts etc that proves that indeed we landed on moon.

But even in 21st century where there an accident with Kalpana Chawla who merely went to space and came back, it sounds too good to be true that in 1969, we landed on the moon which is around 300000 kms or 186000 miles from the Earth with those time of technologies and successfully came back. Remember, the first apple computer was launched in 1976.

I'm not saying we didn't, I'm just saying that it's not really a question that can be debunked like other theories which says Earth is flat.

I think it will be true if the flight was documented in detailed. I get your point about computer, probably you are thinking how to they lauch a rocket in space going to the moon if our computers are not so advance. I don't think there was another way to do it without using computers. That is why I believe that they just shoot it in a location here in Earth that is like the surface of moon. After years, maybe they can able to go to the moon and just gather information and added documentation about their flight and to the moon itself.

It was not much about the computer. Computer is still not a huge thing for spaceflights.
It's metallurgy and Physics mostly, it's about speed and angles. I was too first suspicious how they were able to land on moon back then but has not rocket to reach moon now.
US was able to put men on moon back then because they had no funding restrictions and safety were not a topic. Even today they can repeat it but they don't have the funds for the stunt.
2197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run or just a pump before bear market ? on: October 08, 2019, 12:19:49 AM
Bitcoin's price is fluctuating but it's also gradually rising up. It started around 3.5K and for several months, 7.5K seems to be the new low. In my opinion bitcoin as well as crypto will have no huge bull run as the previous one because everyone are aware of dumping after huge price rise so whenever the price rises and people make profit, they cashout instead of waiting which would not let it have a large run.
2198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular news websites. on: October 08, 2019, 12:15:16 AM
Cointelegraph has more number of articles daily. Coindesk is a neutral crypto news website that provides crypto only news. Except for these two, I also visit news.bitcoin.com for news.
This forum itself is a quick way to look for different news but you need to manually verify them as many things are just FUDs.
2199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 07, 2019, 04:21:17 PM
~snip~

Check out the performance of this team. Do they look like the No. 1 team T20 team ?
Maybe ICC needs to rethink when they prepare the following data.  Angry

Well you read it wrong, the order is descending LOL

It's not in descending order and is ordered by ratings. The points seems to be increasing every match depending on the performance of the team while the rating are calculated by Points by number of matches played. So, clearly Pakistan is leading that list. Maybe the list updates only after the completion of series and Pakistan could go down after this series ends.
2200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: German Government adopting blockchain strategy on: October 07, 2019, 04:16:00 PM
European countries had been very contributive to the crypto and blockchain technology. Malta for instance is being a hub for crypto projects. East European countries are using crypto to raise funds for projects within the countries. Switzerland and Luxembourg are actively monitoring and licensing crypto projects and Germany is the largest economy that licences crypto projects.
