221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Affiliates for only Sign Ups on: September 14, 2014, 10:39:48 AM
Most places don't offer money just for sign ups as this is how they're easily abused. You and they need to get guaranteed money spenders which is obviously very hard to do. I wouldn't bother trying to make much from affifiliate links and just use them as a lucky bonus if you can get them.
222  Economy / Lending / Re: Full Member needs to loan 0.025BTC %15 rate for 7 days. (NO Collateral) on: September 14, 2014, 10:36:10 AM
Your feedback is essentially worthless. Looks like shill accounts to me. The four feedbacks from bikapata are unsourced and a couple seem to be for the same loan that he forgot to leave feedback for. Do you have links or evidence of the loans you received and paidback?
223  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teen in Pennsylvania sentenced to two years for deep-throating Jesus on: September 13, 2014, 02:19:29 PM
putting someone in jail for 2 years for taking a photo humping a statue is insane even if he was completely naked (which he wasn't).
was there any damage done to property or the well being of someone else? no.

unless he does this repeatedly and was already punished for doing it before but continues anyway this should be a 100$ fine at most.

Be sure not to set up any family pictures or plaque with your name and picture on them, then get upset when someone decides to publicly behave with it in such a manner that is both unprovoked and unwarranted.

It might be in bad taste but pretending to hump a plaque or Jesus isn't or shouldn't be against the law. People need get over themselves.

Are you kidding? Every time I look at that photo I start laughing LOL Tongue

What has that got to do with anything? People who think there's something wrong with the image need to get over theirselves.

225  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS has set a trap for the American government and they are walking right to it on: September 13, 2014, 01:24:32 PM
America knows exactly what it's doing. They love any chance to invade a country with a reason the public can get behind and going after dem terrorists that r threatening r freedoms is a perfect excuse and always an easy sell.

no America (by that i mean the government) doesn't know what its doing.
if it knew what it was doing it would understand that you can't spend a trillion dollars on a war when your enemy spends less than a million.
especially when you are already deeply in debt from the last war and barely hanging on by continued borrowing and money printing.

They want to spend trillions of dollars that's the point. They don't care about debt or their citizens but their corporate buddies. That money that they spend is taxpayers money which gets transferred to private pockets. That's what politicians are there for. It's called war corporatism and business is good.

This is why I don't drink. Really hate the taste of alcohol and how it makes you feel. I also absolutely hate being sick so I wont do anything that might make me so.
Yeah, it sucks when you get to drunk. However, if you just drink enough the feeling is pretty awesome.
The trick is to stop at the right time (and don't get hubris like I did).

Yeah, but how do you know what/when is enough? If I don't drink enough it doesn't really have an effect on me, but if I drink enough to get drunk I just feel sick and even worse in the morning, so that's why I don't bother. There are better drugs anyway hehe.
227  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: September 13, 2014, 01:17:26 PM

I do also remember this, lmao, when rates were climbing up to ridiculous amounts and you could make over $1 a post. The rates are still pretty ridiculous when you think about it, for participating in a forum.

I think it's pretty ridiculous we can earn quite a decent amount of bitcoins in such a way. I've never seen any other forum do this sort of thing, but it's just another reason why I love this place and also bitcoin. Hope they both go on forever hehe.

Oh, and thanks for keeping this thread going op. It's very useful to the community.

0.1 is what you can earn on average for Sr and Hr, it is not that much!

Agree that 1B+/month was outrageous and great but it is over, for now

Am getting 0/month at the moment

0.1 for 50 posts is pretty great in my opinion and especially for doing something you would do anyway, but you can get more on other deals. Even the 0.4 people get on PD now is a lot, but the 2.4 was definitly nuts (though not many people got anywhere near that amount).

if Stunna close this campaign
it become a major loss  Cry

How many alts you got on this campaign?  Cheesy. It would be a massive loss to the community I think, but nothing lasts forever. Places to get on campaigns will be like golddust if this one stops. It's already pretty hard to get a place on them. Whatever he decides is out of everyone's hands, though.

An upcoming Bitcoin casino would have a huge opportunity to create a nice signature campaign on the forum and steal the first position to PD

I think PD would be safe with the number 1 spot, but a competitor could certainly close the gap and take a lot of new players anmd steal a few of PDs if they offer something different. I doubt stunna would cease all signature advertising here though. Maybe he could just hire a certain amount of quality posters on a case by case basis just to keep the name out there.
229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Random 0.00001 BTC from Laxo Trade? on: September 13, 2014, 01:11:34 PM
I just realized they sent me 10 payments totaling 0.01. Thanks lol. Keep em coming.

I've got 2 0.00001's from laxo trade thus far, looks like their campaign is kinda working since they are getting threads made about them for cheap.

They are getting advertising, but like most adverts they're not going to get any of my money. The thing with this advertising spam is the payments usually never confirm so the money is returned to them, but clearly these payments are confirming.
230  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-12] Here’s What the Bank of England Thinks of Bitcoin on: September 13, 2014, 01:08:17 PM
Where do they make the estimate of 20k people? I don't understand how they could make that sort of assumption, though I don't really care how many people in this country hold bitcoins now, but how many will and use them in the near future. The figure is growing daily.

232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I start escrow? on: September 13, 2014, 12:56:33 PM
The only way you can do it is to build up feedback and trades over time. If you're a familiar figure and trustworthy around the forums people may ask you to hold money for small deals. Trying to rush becoming an escrow can set off red flags, though.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify BTC holdings into real estate, income tax? on: September 13, 2014, 12:49:32 PM
Op, I'd get some proper legal advice before doing anything like this. Don't want to be hit with a hefty tax bill at some point. Also, people here may give different advice depending on what country they are in.
234  Economy / Speculation / Re: ** 3 Reasons why BTC will SKYROCKET !!! ** on: September 13, 2014, 12:45:31 PM
Here are 3 reasons why BTC will be over 5,000$ in the next 5-10years.

1. Mining is difficult, demand is high supply is low.
2. People are loosing, dying, with their wallets which makes less BTC in the mainstream everyday.
3. Too much real life cash available to public and everyone, only 21 million coins to 10billion+ people.

 Huh Huh Huh

None of these are valid reasons whatsoever as people could just move from bitcoin to something else as a solution to all of these. I think the only reason why bitcoin would skyrocket would be down to the supply and demand when more merchants are dealing in it.
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Send a message to the central bankers here on: September 13, 2014, 12:41:25 PM
In my opinion no message is needed. The greatness of bitcoin and the tech behind it speaks loud and clear. I'm sure they watching with both fear and intrigue.
236  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-11] Amazing UK news channel report on Bank of England's Bitcoin Paper. on: September 13, 2014, 12:33:19 PM
http://www.channel4.com/news/bitcoin-bank-of-england-super-rich-excluded-poor-internet-currency

This is fantastic stuff, best and most positive news coverage of bitcoin i've seen todate.

That is not necessarily a good thing, and bad news is not necessarily a bad thing, either.

Why is this not a good thing? It's positive reinforcement on mainstream media. Channel 4 news is watched by quite a lot of people in the UK and this was pretty positive and unbiased coverage.
237  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-13] RT: Russia may ban cryptocurrencies by 2015 on: September 13, 2014, 12:25:23 PM
Russia  Roll Eyes. There's certain aspects of their culture and society that are just so backwards. Banning something like bitcoin is just abhorent for these silly reasons. Criminals can just as easily use government issued fiat.
238  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-11] Overstock Now Accepts Bitcoin in Over 100 Countries Worldwide on: September 13, 2014, 12:23:46 PM
I don't understand what's a big deal? OK, they accept it, but how many people do actually choose to pay in bitcoin at Overstock rather then to use credit/debit cards?

Of course it's a big deal. It's a massive deal for us and the community. They've actually sold millions of dollars worth of stuff in bitcoins. We need more and more merchants accepting btc for the currency to grow so it doesn't matter how much they are taking in today, but the option is there if you want to spend your coins.
239  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-09-12] Bank of England sees Bitcoin fraud risk, deflation danger on: September 13, 2014, 12:15:49 PM
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/09/11/uk-britain-boe-bitcoin-idUKKBN0H61HL20140911

Bitcoin and similar digital currencies may be at increasing risk of fraud and could damage Britain's economy if they find widespread use, the Bank of England said on Thursday.

The BoE said the finite supply of Bitcoins - which are traded between users outside the banking system, and used to buy goods ranging from pizzas to PCs - meant that an economy where they formed the main currency would be at risk of deflation.

I don't see how there's an increasing risk of fraud? Sounds like they're worried to me. What they say is irrelevant anyway because their answer to economic crises is to keep printing more money which devalues the currency.
