221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 19, 2024, 12:07:32 PM
I recently play this provider without the use of VPN on Stake.com that’s why I kinda become addicted on this provider. I frequently purchased bonus buy worth 20$ for a minimum bet but the usual profit I can get is just x2 of my buy bonus while I’m frequently lose my bonus buy.

I’m pondering why many user keep using Pragmatic Play especially the bonus buy feature while it’s expensive and the return is not that high considering the max win is very small compared to other provider like push gaming that offers much higher max win.

I admit that Pragmatic games is really cool to play due to graphics but winning wise, I don’t really like it since there’s no 0.1$ minimum bet.

If your goal is to have fun, then it's best for you. However, if you want to profit, then I would say this is not good for you as it has a house edge. I mean, even if the bonus are very attractive, you still lose. Bonus are to entice gamblers, but they don't give money, they know that once you play the edge is still on them, so at the end of the day you'll lose. Slots and other online gambling games with house edge will make you lose in the long run, that''s what house edge can do.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 19, 2024, 11:25:55 AM
This dunk was lit but I rather wanted to see this other one go in:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGd0memVURg

If this went in it would have been the dunk of the year. Anthony on Anthony violence.

Look how high he could jump... That could be a big poster if the dunk went in, unfortunately Davis was able to disrupt it and proved that he really is a good shot blocker, but to be able to make a successful dunk against a good shot blocker, that's already a big success. ANT has been so confident this season, not only his game has improve but he had some highlights as well, did this game had already joined the slam dunk competition?

Yeah, but we all know that Anthony Davis, if not going to block you, will have to alter your shots. And probably this is what happened year, a blow by by ANT but he still has to contend with AD at the top. And so AD as one of the top blockers in the league, was not afraid to go and try to block ANT's shot. It could have made as one of the best for the year and AD being posterized.
If he did that to Lebron, I believe he could be successful. AD is still not out of his prime, still young and could compete at a high level. One of the best big man in the NBA, posterizing him is almost impossible, unless it wasn't contested.

I don't think that he had joined the dunk contest, but fans wanted him to join because of his ridiculous dunk during game time. And he is really a high flyer, just weeks ago, he block Pacer's Nesmith shot and preserved their win. And in doing so, he hit the backboard, so it shows how ANT is a high flyer.

I think he should joined next all star as the last one has been boring, maybe with the hype he created now, he could bring the fans to be interested in watching the game. I also like Morant to joined, small but not afraid to posterize someone.
223  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: March 18, 2024, 12:57:57 PM
No matter how many discussions talk about "common trading mistakes" this still won't change everyone. Because what I observed is the more we talk about this, the more newbies fall into committing mistakes. Honestly, it is difficult to change someone who already fell in love with money because even if they know greediness is wrong still it lives in their mind. And no matter how many times they suffer losses, that won't change their behavior. Maybe, just maybe, if they stay cool this time but can't ensure they remain cool for a long time.

We fail trading, not because of the lack of knowledge but it is due to our wrong actions and approaches.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 16, 2024, 03:15:01 PM
How do we regulate our emotions while betting and how important is it?
The first aspect of regulating your emotions is to stake responsibly. When you overstake, your emotions can get the better of you while playing games and you make wrong decisions.

You should also take the safe decisions at all times, especially with cashouts. Many players try to take as much money as they can and refuse to cashout even when they get a good deal. I recommend to take that deal as the outcomes are not guaranteed.

- Jay -
I think playing responsible is the best decision one can take while playing gambling, this will help in regulating lose in gambling.  What usually brings emotions in gambling is when people play excessively with over confidence then emotion comes in but one who plays responsible I don't think think it will develop any emotions.  Playing responsible helps people to play with amount that they can afford to lose and if eventually they lose, I don't think it will result to any emotions.  When you understand to play responsible I don't think you will have problems in gambling,  that is why the gambling companies always advice their customers to play responsible.
Whether they lose or win, gamblers always become too emotional all the time. Should we take it as a big problem? Well, that is right because this will lead to making wrong decisions that even worsen the situation, it is just like the creator of another problem. Yes, gambling responsibly will help a lot but to be honest, this won't be easy as we say. Let us say casinos are promoting this Gambling Responsibly, unfortunately, only a few gamblers got into such a thing while the majority remains irresponsible. But who benefits the most? That is the casino and any gambling platforms.
This can't be solve with that thing and the casino is never held liable for our actions, we do it by ourselves.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins Making people more profitable than Alts on: March 16, 2024, 01:44:46 PM
Hypes are more profitable than the usual pump like it happen to meme coins and a few altcoins. But the reason why the majority are not investing in meme coins is because of the lack of substantial purpose of these projects. Most of them are still worthless and we can't blame other people for saying that probably because of their bad experiences with them. You should be thankful that they emerged in the Solana System and saved you or else, it is unlikely we see them in the current situation and even turn to another rugpull.

Well, you might be earning a lot from meme coins but the question is how they look after bull season. Because whether we like it or not, only projects that have a use case will stay long in the market. Take this opportunity while still there but don't overthink it will be long-term.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 16, 2024, 12:40:30 PM
Gambler with ambition to be successful in the long run would try this. Writing in paper and see the results for a span of time is good, once you are convince, you can start with real money. However, the most challenging part is on how to be discipline with risking money since it's quite different when you are just writing on paper without a bet than betting with real money. It's more like the actual vs theory thing, but in order for you to follow your strategy, what's in the theory (on paper), that should be followed and maybe adjustments will be made along the way, but never loss your discipline in managing your funds.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 16, 2024, 11:47:16 AM
That was out of expectation, LOL.. Who would thought Ginebra losing that big? I mean, no disrespect to Meralco but this team has been struggling early on, so we got caught up by surprise and we loss our bets as well.

By paper, yes that looks like unlikely but since this is PBA where people suspect there's some rigging of games happening, that has become a normal thing already, it could happen anytime and we should be ready to accept it and move on to the next game. Anyway, if we loss on that bet, we can bounce back today as we have 2 games lined up...

DYIP vs Blackwater at 3 pm.. this is like a 50-50 match up. I'll prefer to bet live to take advantage of the odds.

2nd game is Magnolia vs Converge, if I'm not mistaken, this is the first game of Magnolia this season, so coming from a long rest, they should dominate the winless converge (so far).

Big run by the DYIP to come back and win. Juami Tiongson's dagger gave his team a game winner where they won by 1 point only. There's a lot of comeback victory so far, good for bettors as this would provide a very attractive odds.

However, can it happen again in the current game, the last game?

59-73, Magnolia is up by 14 points, IIRC, the spread was around -15.5... so just a little push, they'll cover it.
228  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 16, 2024, 05:50:35 AM
snip~

What are your thoughts let learn together.

It is difficult to decline someone to ask for a loan especially if they are close to us as we could think that he/she will feel mad. But yes, sometimes we need to make a decision even that will hurt someone's feelings. We have not just looked at how they feel but also, consider our situation if we are in the position as can't just let it happen if we know that also compromises our investment plan. Explaining may help him/her understand our stance so at least will help them clearly understand why. But still expect them to think it is bad. Well, real friends will certainly understand and that is what we look forward to.
229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: March 16, 2024, 03:43:15 AM
We don't get s ared trading but we need to be wise and wait for the right time to trade according to the indication for trading.
There are many indications we can get to trade in the market if we know what we are doing and how to do it.
Trading could be fun for people that have what it takes to trade and make money for themselves without depending on external factors or speculations before we can trade in the market.
Carelessness makes no one succeed but failure. That is why we should think first before trading and we won't be like those people who try even if they don't have knowledge. And the thing is that trading is not an easy way of making money. Therefore, if we feel doubtful, it is better not to try because that only ends up losing.
Perhaps, we don't need to be scared but what we need is proper preparation - knowledge and capital.
All the people who are scared are those who are not ready yet and are not risk-takers. In fact, we're not forced to do that, sometime we need assurance as well.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 15, 2024, 09:49:35 PM
Perhaps, it was not necessary to do that because gamblers will be encouraged to gamble on that particular platform after seeing their bankroll is huge but because it can be trusted. Although we consider capital as our criteria but what we look the most if is their reputation as this will give us confidence to have a fair gambling experience. Therefore, there is no need for the casino to show their bankroll to the public but what they need is to show that they can be trusted. Aside from that this is also for security reasons that they need to secure first rather than gaining the interest of the gamblers.
231  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving don't make wealth on: March 15, 2024, 07:41:59 PM
Sincerely the concept of savings has made some persons poor, but many won't realize the fact that saving don't make the difference but investing does.
Am not saying saving isn't good, but my point is saving doesn't make one wealthy, the worst advice we recieve is  'save for tomorrow' but only few lay emphasis on the need to 'invest for tomorrow'.
So I would greatly say we invest some of our profits from bitcoin in to other stuff, than just holding it or using it for pleasure. The rare truth is how we believe bitcoin can change the game, so other systems are developing so we shouldn't be blindfolded.
Invest because savings doesn't increase or builds, investing is what gives you the life you want.
   Let discuss this guys..
No matter how many bitcoin you hold you can still misuse the money, so we should understand the concept of Richness and Wealth.

Well, holding Bitcoin never made us rich until the time we converted it to fiat money. Rich people never save money but rather make it circulated and keep on rolling. In fact, that is how money works and if we want to become rich, we also never stop thinking about how to grow our money, not how to save them because value will depreciate due to inflation.

People are holding their Bitcoin not because they are saving but because they are waiting for the ATH and sell them. In this volatile market, it is somewhat important that we need to learn how to hold if we want to earn huge profit.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 15, 2024, 05:29:27 PM

He was well defended, Meralco didn't allow him to get hot. 2-10 shooting, he got the lowest percentage in the team, so it's really a bad night for him.

Aside from that, the biggest issue was actually the Turnovers of Ginebra. They made 19 here while Meralco only has 6. Ginebra are not a high TO team, they are careful with handling the ball as they move the ball well with less dribbling, but in this game they mess up, so a loss is just not surprising at all. They had a bad game, let's just accept that way and Meralco had a good game. Though it was a dominant performance by Meralco but it's just a one point victory and Meralco have to proved by being consistent, especially Maliksi.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 15, 2024, 04:34:43 PM
I am sure that is not his life savings because no one would ever do that. If he ever loses, what will happen to his life? Even if he has a second plan if he loses that bet, it is still hard for him to recover since all of his life savings are gone because of one bet. Maybe it is his only gambling budget; no one would risk putting all of his savings on one bet unless you are a crazy person.

Looking at the context of the video, it was a reality show, so maybe there is a chance that is part of the "script" where he would double all of his money. But if not, good for him; he has some balls of steel for doing that. I hope that he did not gamble again after that win.

We never know though but anything we can see online might not be real, so it's good that you have doubts on this one as it will not influence you to follow what he did, actually twice since there was an old and new video. Personally, I think it's just for a promotion or just a show as no one in with the right mind who risk his life savings that he saved for his future (whatever his plans) to gambling that in just a blink of an eye it could be gone forever.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JP Morgan says BTC price could drop after 2024 halving on: March 14, 2024, 09:41:47 PM
JP doesn't hold the future of Bitcoin and he has nothing other than speculating. But can't say he is absolutely wrong but the possibility is not close to such a thing as I still believe that the market is not totally changing, still history repeats itself, and still see bullish after halving the opposite from an expert JP Morgan views.

Anyway, whatever happens in the coming days we have no choice but to accept it. Can't still change the fact that the market is unpredictable and can't argue who is right or wrong but possible all of us went wrong. It is not a big deal for me for JP Morgan to say that as he is not even the one who controls the market.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 14, 2024, 02:34:49 PM
~snip~

But I guess this is a promotion for the casino itself.

I didn't want the video anymore because of this. If it's a promotional video and they got the attention of the people, then it was a job well done. This looks like Drake getting partnered with stake and his bet could be sponsored too. Everything we see now in terms of big wins or losses are just probably sponsored because real bettors who bet bigs would not make their bets public, they are silent and are just enjoying what they are doing.

It could be, so I will not get emotional about it, although this man has done it years ago before the age of social media, for the clout and click bait. But in any case, definitely at least there could still be gamblers here in their right frame of mind will not put his entire life savings and gamble it 1:1 or at least that's how he said it.

He got lucky twice that's it, no need to rub it in or just show and promoted the casino name again and good for him.
Maybe the first one is real and since it got viral, a certain casino realized that they could use him to advertise their casino, so they get him as secret endorser and of course the guy is getting paid secretly. That was just my theory as the first one happened a long time ago, not much hyped that time, but this time we are in the digital age, gamblers are slowly transitioning online, so it's a big help to boost a casino's popularity using the same man that went viral for his "bet life savings", challenge.

It's all about luck or maybe the casino itself rigged the result and make the ball go to a red number. And it's interesting to land on the highest number, which is 36, so that alone looks very suspicious to me.

Yes it's purely on luck.. .but rigged... that's too much, no casino would rig a game that has a good reputation or at least wants to grow their reputation. I mean, why would they rig when the risk of getting caught is possible, and if they get caught that means everything they built through time will vanished.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 14, 2024, 02:06:51 PM
First, gambling ≠ investment.
At least for most of us, but there are gamblers who considered it as an investment as they are making money from it. Successful poker players makes money using their skills, i think they can be proud to say that they consider gambling as an investment, the same goes with successful sports bettors as well.

If you don't believe that skills can help you win in gambling, then you will always believe that "gambling ≠ investment.".. (as you stated).

Second, gambling isn't 50/50, it's mostly 49 (gambler)/51 (casino).

If there's a house edge, Yes!

So if you think the amount you spent is an investment and you will able to beat the casino because both of the party have a same winning chance, you're completely wrong. Gambling is only for fun, where the amount when you lose or win will not harm your daily activities.

Again, this "skills" thing is not applicable against a casino as no one could beat long term a casino that has a house edge.

237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Prepare Your Children For Bitcoin Investment and Not for Government Jobs. on: March 14, 2024, 01:18:10 PM
This means that we are forcing our children to do what we desire and not letting them choose the life they would like. I'd never see it wrong working for the government. Besides, while working we still can invest in Bitcoin.

Can we rely on our profit from investing in Bitcoin is enough for us to provide our needs? Not really especially for small investors. Therefore, I disagree with such an idea. Why don't suggest working on both OP because investing needs money which means that we need other sources of income to support our investment plan.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 13, 2024, 10:36:05 PM
 - I enjoy gambling more when I win and I forget that I only lose a lot.
 - I chase my money when I lose and notice after that even lose more.

That sounds so crazy that if we lose control of ourselves, it will cost a lot. That is why we should learn from our bad experiences and stay calm in all situations. We can't expect all-day lucky which is why we don't have to stay on the table all day as well. We can't be unlucky all day but must also consider that we don't know when it comes, so don't expect it will be in the next bet.
239  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 13, 2024, 09:49:17 PM
Its important to take profit but the desire to want to make more will not allow us for that, there are many of our personal behavioral attitudes that contributes tot he level of what happens to us in trading and such is as a good example of this we are having discussion on, many could not afford to manage in taking profits and left until they found out that its already too late for them to leave after which the losses would have accumulated.
Attitude problems and market approaches are a big deal in trading. In trading, we need to be greedy, every chance to earn a profit is already a great opportunity that should not be wasted. In fact, the primary purpose is to earn, even if it is just a small amount, as a trader we need to appreciate it and stop thinking more as we never know what comes next. Many traders regret and even blame themselves as they fail to manage their emotions and greediness making them lose their money.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 13, 2024, 11:54:23 AM
PBA have games today, 2 games to be exact.

The first game is over and NLEX again with a win. As usual, Bollick led the game on that win. And it's almost a triple double performance for him.

21 points
9 rebounds.
9 assists.

He is beginning to look like a really special player. I think if we want to see the TNT improve, they should have gotten Bollick as he is good at sharing the ball, making his teammates better and could really carry a team in a consistent basis.
