1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 06, 2023, 09:35:44 PM
Does this have to do with what Elon did? I think it's a smart move for him, knowing that he is doing those things to make a point that he supports Doge, and it's most fashionable, changing the Twitter icon. It's hilarious, even with the loading and all that stuff.

As long as it continues to do that, we can probably reach higher highs for that.
Whether it was a trick or not, or something we think about marketing strategy, I still see success on his side. I actually never thought about his influence anymore but yes, I dare to admit that the community of Doge who continuously supports this project certainly has a huge impact. That is why we can't just set aside the possibility and a bigger chance that Dogecoins will make another ATH record during Bullrun. And so people are buying despite of being a meme coin.
1142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 06, 2023, 12:49:55 PM

By the way, guys, WBA and IBF champion Murdojon Akhmadaliev will defend his belts this weekend on DAZN against Marlon Tapales. Casimero might face the winner of this fight or the Inoue-Fulton winner by next year.

It would be better if Casimero faces the winner of that fight. If he wins, he can then face the winner of the Inoue vs. Fulton fight. That way, Casimero's wish to face Inoue for a unification belt will be granted. I really hope this happens as Casimero has missed out on many opportunities in his career and deserves a big fight.
1143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 06, 2023, 11:38:32 AM

Great for Mavs for finally achieving a victory and continue to have a chance to catch play offs but they need to win everything from now on.

They were fortunate to win that game, but I am still not convinced by their play. It seems like they lack consistency, especially on the defensive side. Despite this, I still have faith in the Mavericks.

They might win the next two games, but what if OKC does the same? If that happens, they will be eliminated.

However, for betting purposes, it's good if we will back them on their succeeding games.
1144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 06, 2023, 10:57:29 AM
Spence's camps might bring reasons to cancel the schedule and left Crawford hanging again for his desire for a mega fight.

Spence needs to step up and stop playing games. If his fight against Thurman is canceled, he needs to take on a bigger challenge. The only option for him is Crawford. This fight has been uncertain from the start, as it is a non-title fight and probably not mandatory, which is different from what was previously reported.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: April 05, 2023, 12:27:49 PM
Josh Taylor on the other hand seemed to be too confident despite his inactivity and poor performance in his last fight against Catterall. I can feel that he is belittling Teofimo Lopez's ability to win as he is predicting the big possibility of him taking out Teofimo in the early rounds.

That's not unusual, especially for undefeated boxers. He has the right to say whatever he wants, given his decent record, and as long as he remains undefeated, he can claim whatever he needs to elevate himself further. I hope his statement will motivate Lopez to train harder, so that we as fans can fully enjoy this big fight.
1146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA unders/overs tips on: April 05, 2023, 11:33:39 AM
Good luck, @ElectraBets! I hope you continue this thread as you keep betting on the NBA. If you end up having a positive record - at least over 53% - your record will certainly attract followers. Over/under betting is similar to spread betting, but it's best to go with what you are comfortable with.

I'm keeping an eye on this.
1147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your honest review of the Demo account? on: April 05, 2023, 08:01:47 AM
A demo account has been created for the sake it gives the chance for newbies to learn to trade using their platform and they can do trading while using free money. It helps a trader to become ready for real trading, however, the situation is quite different. Honestly, it was a different feeling when you are in practice trading where you can't feel stress and worry as you will never incur losses. But if you are in actual trading and using your hard-earned money, there you feel how trading looks like, there are emotions built.

But if you treat demo seriously it is the same with real one I mean it is just our emotions playing us because when we play on demo the back of our heads telling us that we wont be lossing anything so it is okay to lose and try it again but if you practice it like a real one then there are no problem on it. But again this is not for all people as others tend to learn more mostly if they lose money in real trading
Then I hope all of the demo account users will think that way and consider this like actual trading. In this way, they will practice controlling their emotions and make all decisions seriously. Having a good beginning will also have a good ending and this is what we have to do while we are demo accounts and take the opportunity to learn more. We put this as a learning experience and make it a reason for our success as we can say to ourselves that we can handle managing our emotions while it was free money, how much more if we are using our own.
1148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 04, 2023, 05:16:28 AM

Assuming Garcia will walk inside the ring just like the confident and strong fighter that he was, then he has real chances of beating Davis. We've also seen Garcia not easily affected by a knockdown in the past. So he's probably not to be easily finished should Davis knock him down.

The fighter with the better strategy is likely to win in this matchup. Given that both are KO artists, they are aware that a single mistake could cost them the match. I don't anticipate an early knockout; it's more likely that it will come in the later rounds once both fighters get tired and become more aggressive.

On the contrary, it is actually highly possible that the knockout could happen in the first half of the fight. Both Ryan Garcia and Tank Davis are powerful punchers. Once they trade powerful blows, the possibility of a knockout is always there. Any second that a strong punch is thrown and landed at the right spot at the right time, either of the two could go down. Both fighters' knockout histories are full of stoppage in the early rounds.

I agree, especially if both fighters are motivated to finish the fight early. With all the trash talking that has been going on, I expect that they will come out strong and start the fight with powerful punches. This will be the ultimate test of durability between the two fighters. We've seen Ryan Garcia getting knocked down before but was able to recover, I don't know about Tank Davis.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: April 04, 2023, 03:10:53 AM
It would be a significant upset if Loma ends up winning, but it's hard to say for certain until they're in the actual fight. While it's easy to make predictions, we shouldn't be too convinced by them since anything can happen in the ring. It's also important not to underestimate Loma's abilities as he's known for being a technical fighter who is good at exposing his opponents' weaknesses.

Although he's a slow starter, he's a skilled finisher and could potentially surprise us in this matchup.
1150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in other countries on: April 03, 2023, 09:25:18 PM
Perhaps, we never know their plan either.
However, I was believing that they will come out with a good idea to promote and adopt Bitcoin for the benefit of their netizens. I was certain that they will impose regulations and taxes just like it happens to other countries but I'd never found it a worrying part as it was indeed to happen whether we like it or not - just like fiat. They'll be implementing their own rules, might some of them be similar to other countries but can't expect it. Well, the good thing is that it was not yet implemented in our country and we are free to do whatever we wanted on our crypto and free of tax.

1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: April 01, 2023, 01:51:18 PM
Quote
Poor people get addicted to gambling very easily. Since they don’t have the brains to get rich

Plenty of poor clever people exist.   A lack of variety or experience in large gains would make the gambling larger then life so be more disruptive perhaps.   A rich person in theory is gambling a lower percentage of their net worth, a greater amount of wealth is not liquid so cannot be gambled perhaps.   The poorer parts of an economy or population tend to have far higher worth in purely cash positions, weekly wages etc. so in that sense more harm is possible.   Poor people also suffer most from inflation for example.
They are encouraged to gamble because they wanted to change their life and think that this would help them. And many cases they sacrifice their necessities and sometimes are not able to eat because their money is already spent on gambling. They need to stop and correct their views about gambling and let them realize that gambling is not an institution that will save them from the poor but instead, this will make them poorer.
And one factor that affects their mindset is the environment where they belong, if their neighbors are gambling it will surely influence them as well.
1153  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: April 01, 2023, 01:01:03 PM
It will only destroy the entertainment factor that casinos are bringing and I am sure they don't want that to happen too. Maybe AIs will only work like the gambling bots. They can still help us in some ways but not in an abusive manner where some parties can suffer badly.
I don't think any person would be willing to develop a public AI bot that is capable of defeating the house edge of a casino since it screws their business and destroys the entertainment factor as you yourself mentioned.

Some people will definitely develop private AI bots that are capable of defeating casinos, but they will definitely not share it with anyone else.
Someone smart enough to develop such tool will not share it with anyone, after all if you have a piece of software which had the power of literally making money for you every day without you lifting a single finger, would you share it? I know that I wont and I am pretty sure that I am not alone on this, so it is even possible that someone has already developed an AI like this and they have been enjoying the benefits for a very long time already.
It is a selfish thing to do but yes, I certainly do not share it until I reach my goal. Unfortunately, there is no such tool that really exists because even though we say that AI is an advanced technology but it wasn't built for gambling nor to stop casinos. Might this technology is very useful in other things but thinking about using this in gambling, I don't think it was on the market today, they'd rather keep it on their own if they know that it will work 100% efficiently.
1154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on NFT holders on: April 01, 2023, 10:44:25 AM
This is the first time I heard of this but I am not surprise that NFTs are taxed well because the government will tax anything that earns profit. I think this is a big start for the taxation, once one state start, it'll just be a matter of time before the others do the same.
If they tax NFT, then they also imposed taxes on all crypto traders as it also generates profits. I'm not going to say it was fair but for me, it was not the right time to do it. I know it soon this will happen to crypto but it should be imposed together applying to everyone who has crypto in their wallets.
Anyway, maybe we are going to be prepared for this. Sadly, NFT got the prize first of paying taxes and we never know who's next, meme coins holders or Bitcoin holders.

Well, I'm not against it honestly as long as the tax was fair enough. Besides, we can also benefits the taxes we give to the government unless their is corruption.
1155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2years of trading! on: April 01, 2023, 10:14:46 AM
Trading is not about reading of books or hypothesis of other traders but you have to be there and done that yourself. Some writers of trading books or journals are not traders or are fall out traders who don't have the courage to continue in losses because they are confused and can rely on their failure to begin to profit outside trading by writing journals on it. Trading is practical, no matter what you have read on trading, be prepared to make your mistakes and move from it by giving yourself time to correct it.
Yes, it was not just all about reading books but guess what, there is no difference between watching youtube and online tutorials. It is important we know some important things and ideas before we start trading and it only we got this stuff from having those resources. Read them and apply them in actual trading - I believe it works for sure. Of course, it won't be as perfect as we think but it will improve along the way as we gain more experience and market understanding. Perhaps, learning can't be don't instantly but it takes time.
1156  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 06:50:28 AM
Everyone who wants to create a fortune has a long way to go, first we need to learn how to earn, save and then learn how to make money work for us. Someone creates a business for this, someone is looking for investments, but the essence remains the same, we earn, save and increase our capital.
Sadly, the majority had only know how to earn money and spend them. Might savings is on their plan but never happen in real life? Until this is what really happens in our life, it all just remains as an imagination. But if we aim for financial freedom, savings should not be done instead, we use our money for investment and grow them.
Quote
I'm wondering how long we'll need to do the savings? Who has already reached any significant level, are you still saving, or you can afford to live without any financial restrictions?

If you really be doing this, do it until you can, until the time comes that you will realize that investment or running a business is more important than savings. I actually do some savings but yes, I spend more on investing.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 01, 2023, 06:08:31 AM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?
If you want not to get scammed, therefore, you have only use legit casinos. And if we talk about where to get payment for those influencers, it was their obligation to pay as it was necessary to have enough to promote their sites even without clients yet. Because they won't do that if there is no budget allocation for promotions unless, their intention is not to pay their promoters.
 And possibly come from :
 - from their reserves funds
 - from fees collected by their users.
1158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it good to rely on order books or depth charts on: March 31, 2023, 09:38:40 PM
Many people decide by seeing depth charts that what the price will be in future, but the orders are constantly changing many people cancel and change orders many times,
then why this wall observer thread is opened, does it important to see the order wall or depth chart?
mostly price movements occur on market price which is due to intuitional buying or selling,
I guess not because charts are just the presentation of the past, not the thing that will dictate what will happen or likely happen in the future. We could use this as a tool to predict the market and do market analysis but never we could say that everything lies in this as the price movement changes its trend all the time and so buy and sell volume will change as well. But don't wonder if some people rely on this, perhaps they are newbies and usually don't have yet experience which they fall into this. But soon they realize that it was wrong about their beliefs and they will stop relying on them.
1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 31, 2023, 01:58:05 PM
the circulating supply is not very important to me and what is important in my opinion is the total supply, because a lot of total supply also has an impact on the price, make the price is difficult to increase very high (unless there is a burn), but what I avoid the most is an unlimited total supply, because it is very risky and makes me never invest in the project (unlimited total supply).
That is certain as some people are just focused on the circulating supply minding out how the total supply can affect the price. However, choosing coins doesn't just stop but also consider if that project has a use-case that would absolutely help us to determine the future of this project. Circulating supply or total supply, well, what matters most is to see the project continuously developing as the price will grow in the long run as long they show that they are worthy enough to trust.
1160  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: March 31, 2023, 10:52:54 AM
There are a lot of mistakes being made by crypto beginners. I think they made mistakes like choosing an inappropriate crypto exchange platform, thinking only about pricing instead of ROIS, lack of research and planning, and underestimating cyber security. If they were aware of such things, it will be more beneficial for them.

Mistakes are very common for beginners, in fact, even old traders are also experiencing this because the reality is that there are no perfect trading strategies, and not all the time the market gives us a favor. But never take mistakes is a bad indication that we are not meant to be here instead, make this a reason why we have to improve our knowledge and be careful in our decision-making.
We have to know that trading is risky and it is possible to lose any time. That is why we should not take this as an easy job, it needs focus perhaps.
