1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 31, 2023, 04:51:13 AM

Nuggets vs Pelicans too; I'm not tossing any money either way, but there is speculation of Jokic not suiting up for tonight, that void can't be filled and as such, I might lean a bit more towards New Orleans Pelicans.

Since he didn't play, the line movement has been quite volatile. I believe this will lead to an easy win for the Pelicans, as they are in desperate need of a win. The home team has already secured the number 1 spot in the West, so there's no need for them to push too hard. This game may be a relatively relaxed affair, providing the Pelicans with an opportunity to improve their ranking.

You're right, it was the Pelicans who won the game, and it wasn't even close. In fact, the Nuggets recorded their lowest score of the season with only 88 points, which is significantly lower than their average. This shows that the Pelicans' defense was very effective in limiting the Nuggets' scoring opportunities.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 31, 2023, 02:57:19 AM
TBH, it's good that I didn't bet on the Bolts in Game 3 because the odds are attractive, but this time, I'm thinking that the Bolts will force a Game 5 with a win in this game. This time, I might put a bet on the Bolts. Cheesy
While it's certainly possible, I don't believe there will be a Game 5 in this series. TNT has been dominant in the last two games and is determined to win. I'm not sure what kind of adjustments Meralco Bolts can make at this point. As long as TNT's import continues to produce his usual numbers, it will be challenging to stop them, especially with their strong outside shooting.
You'll never know as PBA are good at fixing games, I think the game between the SMB vs Ginebra was supposed to be fixed, unfortunately, Gray did not follow the script and he keeps shooting, there should be a game 4 like this one, but Ginebra are just too good that they cannot hide their talents.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 31, 2023, 02:30:22 AM
Celtics destroyed Bucks and gave a good message about play-offs. They are ready. Insane shooting from whole team. Tatum and Brown are the best duo in the league right now. They scored more than Bucks in third period, they sit in the bench in last period when the gap went up to 40 points. Crazy night for Celtics. If they play like that in the play-off they'll be my favorite team to win the championship this year.
The Celtics are playing as if they own the Bucks, with points coming from all over the court thanks to excellent ball movement. Antetokounmpo isn't dominating the game like we've seen in their games against the Celtics. It's possible that these two teams will meet again in the ECF and the Celtics might probably advance into the Finals. On the other hand, the Western Conference Finals are more uncertain, as it's unclear which team will make it there.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I might consider selling my Bitcoin. on: March 30, 2023, 01:00:55 PM
Perhaps, these are very reasonable OP. And this will implies that Bitcoin is not for forever holding, there is a time that will come when we need to let them go (sell). It was said that there is no specific time when to sell, exactly. Sometimes we look for another option to get money and keep Bitcoin but also, sometimes it happens that we can't find any aside from selling them. I won't say it is not the right time but we also have thought that Bitcoin is just like our savings, we use them when necessary.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: March 30, 2023, 12:29:33 PM
I have decided I have too many altcoins in my portfolio and want to convert up to half of them into Bitcoin but I am waiting for the next pump like we saw in January to do this as don't want to convert while my altcoins are 20% down.

I have only been in crypto last 12 months so not that experienced when it comes to understanding cycles. Do we have any idea when the next altcoin season is due?

When Bitcoin pump and skyrocket soon everything will follow together with altcoins. No one knows the exact date or time when it will happen but it is going to happen because the market is a cycle and the money flows. In my experience as a trader, the best thing to do is always to buy a massive percentage of bitcoin on your portfolio higher than the percentage compared to altcoins. Bitcoin is always the top cryptocurrency and it is the best investment compared to other altcoin just because of its structure and halving stuff, in the long run bitcoin will become rare and with the law of supply and demand you could expect that the market price of bitcoin will skyrocket soon.
And the best thing to do is to take this chance while the market prices are still low. We don't need to wait for other days or wait for another dump but rather make a decision to sell unprofitable altcoins into Bitcoin. Halving is just coming and we all know that prices went high eventually when it comes closer (as expected). So before it happens, better make our portfolio ready then and only stuck/hold potential coins, not these shitcoins. We never look for luck just like it happens before when shitcoins surprisingly go high, we don't have any assurance that it will be going to happen again.
1166  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 29, 2023, 09:53:24 PM
Age doesn't matter but the actual thing is mind and interest that in which field you are interested. The parents who are above 60s doesn't have any idea about the crypto trading and investment so they visualize this field like a gambling and way of lossing money.

I think that all those individuals who are interested in crypto should educate their elders and elders should educate their younger about it therefore people will get knowledge about it. Parents of age about 70 and 80 will hardly understand this thing because at that time when they were young so there was no concept of bitcoin that time.

In this age everyone knows very well about bitcoin so there will be no difficulty for them and I think its a best thing to involved in it. successful people always invest in Bitcoin for further success in future.
Age doesn't matter is only applicable to other forms of investment but in crypto, age matters here. We can say that crypto welcomes everyone but not all are suitable for this due to the nature of the market which it needs knowledge and skill, and the capability to use gadgets. Sadly, for aging or old people this is hard for them. For me, it was not their time to learn from this, using gadgets but instead, it was their time to enjoy life worrying about nothing. We let the new generation handle this thing and carry the responsibility as they are capable enough to do this.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 29, 2023, 08:39:04 AM
However, there will come a time when the promoters will have to take risks and match their fighters against tougher opponents. Until then, we will have to wait and see what moves they make.

As boxing fans and bettors, we have no choice but to wait for that moment when we can witness a unification fight. While this won't be Donaire's first time in a championship fight, we want to see him become a unified champion since Inoue is no longer in this division.

Therefore, I hope the promoters don't play games and give Donaire what he deserves, which is a big fight. His time in boxing is limited, and he deserves a chance to achieve his goals before he retires.
1168  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to use crypto to miximize profits through sport betting. on: March 29, 2023, 08:02:03 AM
Do you want to maximize your profits while betting on sports but don't know where or how to start? Crypto is rapidly going traction as an investment opportunity, and now you can use digital currency while playing all type of sport betting
I'm sorry, but your statement didn't provide a clear answer on how to maximize profits, and it seems like the thread title is misleading. Nowadays, there are numerous options available, including the use of digital currencies for gambling. Whether it's cryptocurrency or not, it's all possible in today's digital era.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 29, 2023, 07:44:29 AM
I believe the most exciting match to watch will be between TNT and Meralco. The series is currently tied at one game apiece, and while the first game was not particularly exciting, Meralco did manage to come back and win the second game against TNT, despite some struggles where they let TNT nearly catch up.

Meralco's strength lies in their defense, which they will need to rely on given that they have only a few outside shooters. On the other hand, they will need to hope that TNT misses their outside shots.
Game 1 between these 2 is a one-sided game, but the Bolts adjusted in Game 2, and because of that, they stole Game 2.

On Stake, the odds for Meralco is 4.20 while on TNT, it's 1.20. I don't know if it's just me, but I see the odds of the Bolts very attractive knowing that they won in Game 2. There's a chance that they might do it again in Game 3. I also skipped the first game, and didn't put any bets on there. I'll watch this TNT-Meralco later when I have free time.

Who will prevail? Meralco's defense, or TNT's Offense. Cheesy The winner of Game 3 surely will take the momentum on this series.

Those are certainly very attractive odds, but wouldn't you consider thinking twice before taking that bet? It's possible that it's just a big trap, and TNT may dominate once again in this game, just like they did in game 1. I hope I'm wrong because this series has been the best matchup so far, and I would like to see a close game.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 28, 2023, 01:55:42 PM
We will see his fate after winning the fight against Plant, he got that interim ticket to challenge Canelo we just need to wait for Alvarez response after the fight against Ryder,  and I can agree to your sentiment regarding to Benavidez, he wants the belt and he will do his best to earn it, whoever the title holder as long as they will accept his challenge then it will take place.

Canelo has no choice but to accept the supposed deal with Benavidez regardless of anything.

However, even with Benavidez winning against Plant recently, it seems that Benavidez didn't really call the attention of Canelo. There are even speculations that Canelo vs Bivol II is much more anticipated by most boxing fans as they think Benavidez can easily be handled by Canelo and the former is just full of talks.

Regardless though, Canelo's camp maybe has to consider granting Benavidez interest for a long of facing Canelo and just settles everything in the actual fight.

We don't know what will be the next destination for Canelo after the fight against Ryder, maybe he will choose what's the best money maker for him, as for now, Bivol for me can bring more hypes after he suffered a lost against the champ, rematch might be set up between the two and if that's the case and if ever Alvarez will win the chance for Benavidez to face him will be delayed.

All will be decided after the fight of Canelo and we will hear an update for sure if what's the camp next plan for the champ!

If Canelo really wants to avenge his loss, he shouldn't waste time and should fight Bivol after his upcoming fight. I'm pretty sure he will win, and his preparation should be enough as he has already won fights (including this one) after his loss against Bivol. Anyone who fights Canelo will make a lot of money as he is a popular fighter, so it wouldn't be hard to sell the fight.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 28, 2023, 01:32:25 PM
Currently, the Jazz are 2 games behind the 10th seeded Thunder, and looking at their remaining schedule, 6 of their 7 games are against either teams who are sure already of clinching the playoffs, or teams who are fighting for the spot like the Thunder and the Lakers (twice). Kind of hard schedule is the least that I can say, but who knows.
They are not in a good situation now, and looking at their last 10 games, they are only 4-6. You can see how much they are struggling. It seems like they have lost their hunger to win. After having some good wins, they are now experiencing a losing streak. I see that the more hungry teams to win in the West who are in competition with the Jazz are the Lakers and Pelicans, who are already on a good run now.
If that's the case, then betting against the Jazz might be a good idea. While they are struggling, other teams are winning, and they might be eliminated from the competition soon. We have Dallas, Lakers, and OKC, who are also playing hard to climb into the top 10. That's their only chance to make it to the play-in, so if the Jazz don't win their remaining games, it would mean they are giving up their chances.

Their next game is against the Celtics on the road, and the Celtics will likely try to avenge their previous loss. This could be another possible loss for the Jazz.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I still believe I am on the right path on: March 27, 2023, 09:54:11 PM
Building self-confidence was not easy mate. Doubts certainly come to our mind and sometimes, we got tricked by this negativity in our minds. It was really confusing when we are hard to know what is right and what is wrong, it was hard to make decisions in a state where we are also not sure of our doings.
But I see that you already control your emotions and you start to trust yourselves and make decisions based on what you think is right. In this situation, even if you will lose, you know that there is nothing to blame.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this making any sense or a misunderstanding on: March 25, 2023, 12:39:39 PM
Perhaps you can change the transaction fees but considering the time span to be recognized and got confirmed will also matter on the fees you set.
If you are paying higher fees, we can expect a fast confirmation process but if you set to the lower fees, you will certainly be expecting a long wait before it arrives at its destination. If the time lapse or delay is not your concern, they make your way to put on the cheapest fees. But for me, as long as I was not paying too much like $1, I'll choose the suggested transaction fees as an option.

By the way, I was using an electrum wallet - segwit btc address...the fees are still fine and it also varies on the network traffic.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 25, 2023, 11:38:09 AM
Watching the game right TNT with a huge lead, too bad for Meralco because of too many turnovers and missed shots.
TNT is pretty dominant on this game, I'm expecting a close game here unfortunately its not looking good for Meralco. Too bad I placed a bet to Meralco going against the odds, well this is just a game 1 and Meralco have to do some magic here so they can at least have a win against TNT.

No offense meant but i think Magnolia can make life tougher for TNT than Meralco. It's just unfortunate for the Hotshots that Meralco beat them via that miracle shot by Aaron Black hehe.

Against TNT, Meralco has no answers for the shooters of the Katropa. McDaniels and Maliksi's output last night is one of the indicator that this would be a short series. They should be more aggressive next game if they want to make this match more competitive.

I agree with that. Magnolia was the better team, but they just had a bad start, which is why they are in the situation where they have to beat Meralco twice. It's unfortunate for them, but I don't want to judge early as we know how miracles can happen in the PBA. If we base it on game 1, it's very clear that Meralco had no chance of winning, but we might be surprised if they win in game 2.
But it's already over now, Magnolia is already on vacation. If they really wanted to be in the semi-finals, they should have started strong. I hope this conference will be a learning experience for them, to choose the right import and play with great defense.

I actually saw some big improvement from Magnolia, their 3 point shooting have improve because other players can also shoot consistent 3 points, they are not relying so much on Paul Lee.

Consistency had always been the problem for Poole and then the mistakes. It's getting lesser so Steve Kerr might be a little happy now.

In the game against the 76ers, Poole was very effective. He wasn't careless and didn't try to take over the ball from Curry. Instead, he waited for opportunities and played his role well. Poole will eventually mature as a player, and with his championship experience, I'm sure he has already improved a lot and will play even better in the coming playoffs.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: March 25, 2023, 05:15:03 AM
~snip~

Yeah, learn it if you want to win some and to control or manage your losses I can agree that if you can learn it from the process it's not just only for entertainment but it might bring some good chance that you can also win from this field, no guarantee but you need to work on it and make yourself comfortable with every strategy that you will use, taking chances to limit your losses and maybe aim for some money to win away from the house.
Even though the chance for us to win is always there, we cannot expect it to help us win because of the unlucky factor. And there is no guarantee of winning. That makes us know not to try to chase that victory. After all, we've seen plenty of examples around us of people trying to take those chances to win. Instead of being able to get that opportunity, they even suffered a bigger loss than before. If they can limit their money to gambling, they will not have that problem and can still play another day.
And so some gamblers think about cheating just to win over the house because no matter what we do, we will somehow win but lose more. If we can just record our winnings compared to the amount we lose, we can see that huge gap but doesn't really matter as long as we make fun of it. Yes, chasing our losses should not be on our minds because this will only lead to losing more. Desperation will somewhat give us no help instead, this could even compromise our decisions and gambling behavior which in the later part it give us regrets.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 25, 2023, 04:55:13 AM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?
The market condition will never stay bad all the time, as it will always recover when the right time comes. So if you are using an old strategy when the market turns bad and it didn’t work out, then might as well reuse it when the market is performing well so you can check if it would work out or not. That way, you will know if there is a necessity to change or just improve your old strategy to make it work.
Old strategy do works again in trading specifically when the market retraces back to the solid formulation of the season, it can be either a bull or bear. There are seasons which will consumed more losses from traders and it's very unfavorable to the investors because it would seems like all the solid projects took a U-turn and becomes dump projects in the space. However I wouldn't advised or wished for any trader or investor to experience such a terrible situation, because the results will drained their mindset and they will possessed FUD and FOMO when the market rebounce back to strong spot.
but we can't assume that it was effective just like before. We also have to understand the situation that the market trend is quite changing from time to time which I see some upgrades to our old strategies would even help more and more effective. As a trader, it was very important that we have to analyze the market well and were also able to assess if our strategies are still working or if we need to change them. This is what we called diversification as we can't stay forever using old strategies but also have to bare the current market condition.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 24, 2023, 09:47:38 PM
We feel bad because we have been influenced by our minds Bitcoin is an asset that soonest will give us more profit. We are worried that spending it today will cause regrets in the future just like buying a pizza with that huge amount of BTC. But if we disregard this thing and consider that we are just like spending fiat money, I don't think we still feel bad about doing it, not anymore. We should have to be adopted and educate ourselves that Bitcoin is not solely for investment purposes but also it was in a form of currency which is really what supposed to happen.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future is looking good for P2e games on: March 24, 2023, 09:26:45 PM
Most play-to-earn games lack balance, prioritizing earning rewards over gameplay quality, balance, or fairness. For an existing project, will this balance be provided for players more interested in playing than earning rewards?
You are right, many play to earn games do lack quality, but that's because it's a blockchain game where both qualified game developers and non qualified game developers are free to build, if it was Sony at work here they won't hire less experienced builders, they always go after the best, but things will turn around very soon.
Then let us wait to come out and finish their development. Yes, it was really interesting a known company like Sony brings such changes in the crypto world and offers P2E which I see really gains the attention of gamers. I believe their capability as builders will have positive results which is what we wanted to happen unlike the past set of P2E which just collapse after the season due to a lack of development and team support. But as this Sony enters blockchain tech, we can really expect more from this.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 24, 2023, 08:57:21 AM
Usually, we think that saving our funds will give us security and the same thing I think but now, I realized that these banks benefit more than us and they use our money for their investment as well and earn more percentage while depositors are just getting a penny. I don't think it was a good idea and beside these banks only promise the safe keep of our fund but generally, they can't assure that they will return our fund immediately to whatever will happen to them.

And the case of FMCPAY, it is all just the same. We usually got trick of these promising words but in the end, these centralized exchanges are just fooling us holders/users.
