2201  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the digital Euro, Dollar or Yuan bank the unbanked? on: May 06, 2021, 10:39:27 PM
May time we forget that there are millions of people out there that do not have access to any type of banking. I am speaking of millions that do not geenrate a recurrent income, do not have access to credit and have their lives quite limited for that fact.
I cannot understand the logic behind these statements, people are living in a remote village that does not have any banking facilities but you expect them to have Internet connection and other modern gadgets, or the poor and the unbanked are there because they cannot go to a bank and create a savings bank account but they have the knowledge of using a gadget or a mobile phone and all the technology available  Roll Eyes.

If you are looking for a credit it is mandatory that you need to have a savings bank account to pledge or you need to give a collateral to get that credit, if you are talking about the poor and the unbanked getting that opportunity, who is going to provide the capital for infrastructure. What i am trying to tell is that the poor always care about basic needs like food good drinking water and shelter and they do not care about getting a bank account either digitally or other ways.

There may be some gate-keeping, but it may not be like the ones we currently know. For example, there were no micro-credits until someone decided to start giving them - eg. in India - and they worked wonderfully.
Since you touched the topic of micro credit in India, do you have any idea about the interest percentage they charge for small amounts, it is insanely large and that too for small period of time and if you miss the compound interest will pile up and end up in a huge debt.

There were many suicide case in India regarding this and so is the reason the authorities started taking action against these micro lenders last year and found out that they were functioning without the RBI permission and many of the arrested company owners were Benami partners and they were run by Chinese citizens.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is May 8 the Dogecoin bubble burst date? on: May 05, 2021, 11:15:19 PM
Elon Musk shows on SNL on May 8, Dogecoin reaches $1 and then the bubble bursts! I hope it reaches $1 so I can buy more BTC with it to round up my BTC holdings Cheesy
It obvious that everyone now wants the price of Doge to rally to a extend that we never thought possible and what surprises me is that the price keeps on rallying and if you think that it will follow the same path like XRP then they rallied from that slump and the reasons behind that correction was the SEC lawsuit and still it was able to overcome it and cruised over a dollar after that crash.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 04, 2021, 08:06:40 AM
From what I heard, the tournament has been suspended for an indefinite period.
It is official the IPL is suspended indefinitely as more players tested positive as Sunrisers Hyderabad becomes the third team that is suffering from positive cases.

I am not sure whether all of the overseas players will remain with the franchises.
Not sure how the overseas players will be able to leave India as England, Australia and New Zealand has suspended flights from India and they will face prosecution if they fly from India and Australia went one step further saying they will face 5 year jail sentence if they breach those. So it is a tricky situation for everyone involved.
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: May 03, 2021, 11:59:48 PM
When ETH was having its transaction issues i was expecting the developers to make a move and fortunately for BSC they had a good team who is looking to replicate the entire market and they like to dominate them by simply making their own version of the product by copying the source code and then making some minor changes and yet they are getting new developers migrating towards them while none of the other projects are able to do so. If Cardano is able to attract developers then they can match with Ethereum but overthrowing them is still a dream which they might not ever fulfill.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 02, 2021, 08:11:31 PM
Yeah, I wonder that why they are still playing Vijay Shankar. Kedar Jadav's last year run in CSK was more than enough evidence not to be selected into any team but SRH picked him in auction and his poor show continuous among different franchises.

In my opinion, Sandeep Sharma can be decent pacer but not firing on every match (same goes for Khaleel Ahmed as well).
The reason SRH is loosing the games is discussed by everyone but the sad part is that the team management does not understand their flaws and they are not taking any measures to rectify the situation and pick a winning team. The lack of local talents were a problem for CSK as well in the last season but someone managed to overcome that this season because they signed match winning foreign players and the local players are firing as well.
2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 02, 2021, 07:07:09 PM
Dominick Reyes got a broken nose with his pride again and we might see longer break from him after losing 3 fights in a row, but I am afraid people are pumping Jiri Prochazka to early for tile shot after just two fights in UFC.
In this fight Prochazka was dominating and fully deserved to win but same thing could happen to him like with Reyes after losing fight with Jon Jones.
I was able to watch the main card and Jiří Procházka impressed me the most and i was watching his old fights but the problem i had is that he never defeated elite fighters outside the UFC and even when he defeated Volkan Oezdemir i thought it was a lucky punch but now i am convinced that Jiří Procházka could be a title prospect if he continues to improve his skills as he said in the post fight show and he can fight for the title next but it looks like he is not too keen on that as he wants to enjoy the experience before getting the title shot.
2207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffett Agrees That Bitcoin Is "Disgusting" on: May 02, 2021, 05:46:38 PM
Munger said he hated the success of Bitcoin during the annual Berkshire shareholders' meeting on May 1. He added that all this progress and development is disgusting and contradicts the interests of civilization:
This is exactly the problem with Charlie Munger who is 97 years old and Warren Buffett who is 90 years old who thinks that they represent the entire civilization. They speculated and made money and that was ages ago and now if they attach the same logic they cannot accept the success. They should be glad that they made their money in the past and the same logic that made them money will not apply every decade Grin

No point in indulging blame game. Actually no one expected this wave at this point of time, and the neighboring countries are also in similar situation. Vaccination was the key, but it was delayed due to the embargo on the export of raw materials imposed by the United States. On top of that, red tape and bureaucracy is making matters worse in many parts of India. But everyone needs to appreciate the step from Sachin. And not to forget the contributions from Brett Lee and Pat Cummins, as they have donated at a time of extreme need.
This is completely wrong, follow the medical journal and all the health experts were warning about a worst situation as the virus is mutating and precautions should be taken from last September and you are now saying that they did not knew about wave, please do not sugar coat things and say it was an unexpected wave.

Even in the case of Oxygen shortage the medical experts warned about hospitals not prepared about the wave and hence the center allotted Oxygen plants from and do you have any idea how much they installed out of the proposed 162 plants just a mere 33 and now the center is lying along with his PR agency that the state failed when they did not even provide any money as all the commissioning was done by Center and after the first wave if you think that they did not expect that i cannot accept that lie.

I am sorry to sway away from the topic but the situation when you see people dying because of the inefficiencies of political pimps or so called leaders and when we cryptocurrency investors create topics every month whether they are going to ban cryptocurrency trading, i feel sick about the control they have over us when we pay them to look after everything and all they want is control over us. This is ridiculous when tax money is given to Serum institute to develop the vaccine and now asking the state to purchase at different price levels when people are dying on a daily basis.

Please do not support these inefficiencies and tell that we never expected this wave, this wave was expected but the stupid reality is that all the Center wants was to boast about how they are helping out other countries by sending vaccines but those stupids never vaccinated their own citizens and only giving limited amount of vaccine doze to every state.

Cricket players or anyone donating do that in your state fund and not in the center funds because i have not seen federalism upheld by the right wing party as they are not treating the other states especially Non BJP rules states as equal and anyone following the vaccination drive will understand that in broad day light.

~
Well the same situation is our country where no one is confident if the donation they make will be used in the right way or will it be eaten up by the corrupt Politian's ?
I do understand your situation and these stupid politicians should stop eating from the graveyard when people are dying around you. If they are not doing their job make sure they will not be in power next time. We the people should have the leash and not the other way around and sadly we only get that opportunity during election period which is once every 4 to 5 years.
2209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 01, 2021, 10:34:39 PM
This is a big initiative and it will also encourage more legends contribute to this noble cause. There is a "Mission Oxygen" campaign in India in which this money will be used to procure oxygen concentrators.
I am not confident whether these donations will be used carefully and for the right purpose, i am well aware that PM fund received more than enough money during the first wave of the virus and it is not even included to have transparency about all the funds they received nor they released what they did with the money they got and if common sense prevails from the social media campaign about people donating in the PM fund for Covid they raised enough money to give the vaccine free for everyone and for the Oxygen and yet they did nothing and now they are scrambling at the last moment and many people died and now they are collecting donations yet again and what will be the end result.

A very noble initiative. With the help of legends like Sachin Tendulkar, India's bad times will not last long. Moreover, if legends like Dhoni, Shewag, Yuvraj come forward in collaboration, it will be easier for the Indian government to work to prevent Covid 19 infection.
The inefficiency and the lack of foresight of the bureaucrats are exposed by this wave. They never took precautions even with repeated warnings from health experts about the possibility of further waves creating havoc if they are not prepared and the PM office was busy chest pumping about being the vaccine capital of the world while they are not even giving proper does of their own citizens and now everyone works together when people are dying in streets. 2210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 01, 2021, 07:11:58 PM
It's not about the gambling that could make them rich or help their economy, it is all about their religion, nothing more to that. Besides, gambling taxes doesn't make a certain country rich at all, they pay a huge tax but the taxes of citizens are still bigger than them of course, that's why the oil revenue is all they needed, no gambling stuff.
If you think that Dubai has oil revenue then you are wrong, tourism is their main attraction now and then dance bars and clubs along with liquor is the main revenue generator for them and then the real estate and those audacious buildings they built were you can own those. I have not seen a gambling house like we see in Vegas but there are Yacht with night parties where you can gamble.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 01, 2021, 05:37:01 PM
Now the crease has two completely new batsmen Pollard and Pandya. They are enough experienced, but it is too much difficult to score 125 runs from 48 balls.
I thought it will be an impossible task but Kieron Pollard in smashing everyone and he is striking at over 280 and if he is in the crease for the next two overs then it is possible for Mumbai to chase the score. Chennai needs to break this partnership if they need to win the match but things are getting closer as Mumbai need 50 runs from 23 runs and with the way Kieron Pollard is striking they can still chase the score.
2212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 01, 2021, 02:25:20 PM
You can certainly quote today's match as one of the biggest. Top 2 teams of IPL will be playing against each other. I am very excited, can't decide which team will win today.
I am going with Chennai to win the match but it all depends upon how the Mumbai Indians restrict the run flow. They already got an early breakthrough they have the inform Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali in the crease and Ravindra Jadeja won the game for them in their last match and MS Dhoni has to rise to the occasion if everyone fails as Mumbai is having a good bowling line up and it is difficult to score freely in the last 4 overs.

Moeen Ali is smashing Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah and if he could score like this for the next 4 overs they can put a good score on the board.
2213  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla's Q1 SEC Reveale holding $2.48 Billion Bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 10:21:55 PM
Haven't Elon recently said that he didn't sell any? I am pretty sure I read it on somewhere. I am not really following Elon so I can't bother to look it up. Maybe "he" didn't, but "Tesla" did. Wink It was another word play from Elon probably. If Tesla really realized $101 million from crypto that's awesome. I guess Elon will be playing fontas from now on. (Pump & Dump)
Elon Musk always plays with words and he really likes to confuse people with his word play. He tweeted about selling over a hundred million worth of BTCitcoin and then he said he did not sell but his company did to check the liquidation. Not sure whether it is even possible to pump and dump the market with the company asset as SEC already warned Elon Musk about his influence in the market and his word play and i do not think he will test his limits against the authorities as he has plenty of other useful and meaningful things to do.
2214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin: Too Big to Fail? or Too Big to Jail? - FED Goes Full Retard or Ponzi? on: April 30, 2021, 09:01:29 PM
critical here to remember, China mines all the BTC, miners decide which transactions go on the block-chain; a flip of the switch on software and china could turn off all exits for the west, only leaving the east with the ability to 'exit', this alone, and this alone and why its not even discussed as national emergency situation is telling; that COVID & the RESET  are all part of this engineered take-down of the USA economy
The problem here is that China is not mining all the BTCitcoin that is created per day as there are miners elsewhere in the world as well and around 60% of the total hash rate of BTCitcoin comes from China but the rest 40% of the hash rate is created from other parts of the world.
The things you have in mind is a good FOMO that can be rewritten as an article and expect that you could invest in it once the valuation reaches your targeted entry point Tongue .
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 30, 2021, 05:12:55 PM
They are onto something today and already got a excellent start. Chris Gayle is looking dangerous and if he gets going like this then 180+ score is easy peasy for the Punjab. Should be cracker run chase considering RCB batting line up.
It was surprising to see Chris Gayle in full flow today and KL Rahul in his usual form took the team to a decent total and i was expecting the RCB batting line up to give a strong chase but Harpreet Brar picked up crucial wickets of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers and that put RCB in the back foot and now it is a matter of time Punjab wins the match as they are loosing wickets in quick succession.
2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guy using bitcoin to cover his tracks while running from the authority on: April 30, 2021, 02:25:50 PM
This is actually the reason why other countries banned BTC due to its nature of decentralization. The government won't be able to track down illegal transactions done in the blockchain which is why other governments reject the adaptation of cryptocurrency
You are completely wrong, just read about BTCitcoin and you will learn that each and every cent spent through it is recorded and cannot be altered by anyone. So it is basically a record you create and if you are doing illegal activities you will be caught even if it takes a few years as the transaction is already there and you cannot hide from proof and it cannot be said about fiat transactions.

The reason why some countries plan on banning is because they could not understand the basics of cryptocurrency and just like you they think it is an anonymous market that cannot be tracked. Tongue
2217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 10:03:56 AM
But there is some truth to every rumor. Perhaps Libra is being considered internally and Bitcoin is the way to go. We will see.
There is no truth to the rumor, people always shill and certainly it is to create a hype and Facebook did not report any BTCitcoin holdings and many are not aware that Facebook changed the name of the Libra project to Diem and so that is the development that is going on with the project which means no one really cares about what they do unless they launch something meaningful for the cryptocurrency market.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 29, 2021, 11:37:26 PM
Its looking like the same in the SL and Bangladesh test series as SL are 291/1 so its looking like another batting pitch and that its not doing much for the bowlers. Its nice to see a team score close to 300 runs in a day but if there is nothing there for the bowlers then we could see it end in a draw.
Usually the pitches in Sri Lanka would help the spinners and after the third or fourth day it would be impossible for the batsman to defend but the last match was a draw as players were able to score runs even in the last two days. Either the players have improved or the pitches are flat  Grin.

Nothing much to say in the Pakistan and Zimbabwe match as we all know how poor Zimbabwe are and once again they showed by being bowled out for 176 runs and Pakistan are already closing in on that total with no wickets lost.
Pakistan dominating the match, Zimbabwe somehow was able to defeat Pakistan in a T20 match but to play Test match against them and expect a good performance was too much, i was not expecting much from the series but still Pakistan should have asked them to make a T20 series with 5 or 6 matches rather than play Test match with them.
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crazy Dogecoin run 100x in 2 years on: April 28, 2021, 11:46:16 PM
All props should be given to Elon Musk for influencing a large amount of new people who never tried in investing in cryptocurrency to try out cryptocurrency in the first place because of his constant shilling of Doge and it is a good news in the overall aspect of the market. Today i have read a report that someone who was a follower of Musk invested in Doge and made a whooping two million dollars profit by investing in Doge in the past two months and there will be many who followed this path and made a fortune because this was the craziest run i have seen in Doge.
2220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 26, 2021, 11:32:26 PM
In my opinion, Sunil Nairne won't be a good choice as a top order batsman. He is in the team as an all-rounder player. Though he bowled well but his batting performance was extremely bad in all three matches.
Sunil Narine had a good run in the past when he was opening the innings and was an useful top order batsman for a brief period but since every team learns about the opponents weakness and if they did not change and rectify their weakness then the bowlers will exploit those weakness and so is the reason he is not able to score runs like he used to in the past.

They need to experiment with Pat Cummins by moving him up the order because he is a clean striker of the ball and he is playing well in this IPL even with the bat and instead of sending Sunil Narine they need to send Andre Russell up the order as well.
