1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 29, 2022, 08:42:06 PM
I don't blame Ngannou at all pushing for what he wants, after all there should be enough leeway to allow him to have one rather large fight in boxing against Tyson Fury; without it actually effecting his UFC career too much. Dana will take a cut, and probably earns more from it than he would if it didn't happen. I'm not sure what is holding up the negotiations, as from Dana's stand point it looks like a no brainer. I guess the only issue is the actual contract negotiations, particularly salary on the UFC side of things, so how much Ngannou gets paid per fight in the UFC.
I see it as Dana White protecting Francis Ngannou from facing Tyson Fury who is one of the best boxers of all time and Francis Ngannou does not have any boxing experience and he is a brawler and there is no way he is going to land a punch on Tyson Fury but a mixed rule fight is a good option like they announced and i hope Dana White will accept that.

For me though, it'll get done. Tyson will likely fight Ngannou in a sort of exhibition match without too much on the line. Ngannou will get a few more fights in the UFC. Although, I can't see Ngannou being around for long in the UFC either. His knees are already spent by the looks of things.
Francis Ngannou is already 35 years old and he wants to make the maximum he can make during the short span and hence he is looking for big money fights and hopefully he gets what he is after.

There must be two matches per day so that event can be completed in quick succession of time rather then in two months. After Livingstone dismissal wicks keep on falling. On Livingstone dismissal, Punjab needed 45 runs on 48 balls with 6 wicckets in hands. It was very much in range of Punjab but the disappointing batting took the game away from them.
Even i feel like this season is being dragged for a long period of time with single matches per day and majority of the time there were no matches on Sunday which was strange. Usually during the start of the season there would be two matches daily and may be this is in accordance with the broadcast team that they need to drag the tournament this long.
1243  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitoin prediction - 1 Million dollar by 2025 (Expert) on: April 29, 2022, 04:31:25 PM
~
He isn't the first one that predicted one million for btc but many of those predictions are higher than the year 2025 (only to be more realistic).
It is literally not a hard task to predict any random valuation and since the number of coins in circulation is limited it is a fact that as more investors jump into the market the price would move higher.

I can see that there is a 500k prediction by 2030 I think that is the most we can get during that year but there will be more to come after that. It's already a big amount and it wasn't easy to come up with a price like that. That would mean that many countries have now legalized btc and make it as a legal tender.
Even half a million, looking at the current valuation looks like a crazy price. I still expect that we would see hundred thousand after the next halving and that is around 2024/25 .

I just hope that he doesn't break down mentally again. He's an allrounder which is already a very tough job when you're playing all 3 format (including franchise cricket The 100 etc). He's also field out of the 30 yard circle so Joe Root's experience should help him a bit but of course it would depend on who is going to be next vice-captain.
His mental health will be concern as the task of captaincy might break him and i wont be surprised if he retires early because of the huge burden bestowed upon him. If the earlier break was really due to mental breakdown as a player i doubt he will take the pressure as a captain. They need to find someone else and groom rather than putting all the pressure to Ben Stokes.

I think Stuart Broad will be the vice captain.
1245  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka defaults on its $51 billion external debt on: April 24, 2022, 08:18:26 PM
It is sad to see that Sri Rare's economy is heavily dependent on debt and is now failing to pay its debts. The thing that must be improved is the production and expansion of natural resources to the maximum in order to make Sri Rare's economy better in the future.
Sri Lankan economy is dependent on tourism and the pandemic situation played a part of their increasing debt, but the majority of the current situation should be blamed upon the Rajapaksa family who is ruling the country for an extended period of time and their economic blunders took the country to this position and they have to take the full responsibility.

The only solution is that the creditors should give Sri Lanka ample to restructure the loan for them to repay the loan and only then they can overcome this situation even though it is a really difficult task.

Despite being a very good team, Mumbai Indians are not able to take advantage of this IPL. However, it seems to me that the squad they took to the field today against the Lucknow Super Giants Will be able to win today's match. Because their batting lineup is very strong.
On papers Mumbai Indians have a good team, Kieron Pollard is not performing for a while and it is time they replace him with someone else, Dewald Brevis is a young talent but he is yet to his potential then the openers Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma have not given them a good start in this tournament and that is why they are struggling. Loosing all the games from a team who was successful in the past and their strength was bowling and in this season they failed with the ball and hence not able to win a game.

But the strategy of such companies is that they buy at any time and with free money and plan to make a profit in many years. They absolutely do not care what is happening in the market now, what is the trend and other trifles that are needed only by speculative traders or short-term investors.
Institutional investors will have a strategy when they make any decisions, i doubt whether they are long term investors, they might be having a portion of their asset for the long term but they will always play the short term strategy and when they plan on selling off the coins in the open market they can plan on placing a short call and that way they make double of what they invested and i believe this is how they are playing in the market rather than dragging the market all the way down.

Once again it came true that MSD is the king of finisher. Watching the last over is really thrilled, upon the first ball six it looked like a winning moment for KKR, and it didn't happen.
There were comments earlier disregarding the king Dhoni as the best finisher ever and rated players like Andre Russell above him. I am not disregarding the batting capability of Andre Russell and his finishing capabilities but as someone who is watching Cricket from 80s i would rate MSD and Michael Bevan as the best finishers ever and i have seen many matches where Michael Hussey and Lance Klusener finishing matches single handedly.

Mumbai Indians once again and the wait for a win continues and hopefully they can break the jinx Cheesy.

IPL is priority of icc for last few years and the reason is very obvious. There is no International cricket during the whole season of IPL and the management has stretched the tournament beyond limit by just having one match per day. T20 is good in a sense that it attracts people towards cricket which test and odi weren't able to do for decades. But T20 should not be promoted on cost of ignoring test and bilateral series.
There is no priority for ICC regarding the IPL, ICC does not control bilateral series, those decisions are done between respective cricket boards and ICC and so is the case with IPL and other franchise Cricket but everything is done under the rules set formed by the ICC. If there is any issues with any of the Cricket boards on sending their players i am sure they will not be picked

The catch is that these Cricket boards will get paid from the BCCI for allowing their players to play in the IPL and in that scenario do you really think that these Cricket boards will create an issue.
1250  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 24, 2022, 09:35:29 AM
It's the right thing if Elon Musk bought Twitter, as we know that Elon Musk has a creative and professional team that can make Twitter the #1 social media outperforming Facebook, and of course there will be unique ideas related to cryptocurrencies on Twitter.
Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla who is a electric manufacturer and then he owns SpaceX which is an aerospace manufacturer and launches rockets and where does the social media professional team fits in this aspect. I really do not care if Elon Musk purchase Twitter or not but if he purchases i do not want him to censor contents like they are doing right now. It should be free of censorship and if he can achieve that it would be great.

With the change in gov the PCB will be experiencing a change in the top management. What are you thoughts about it.
Would you like Rameez Raja to be replaced. And do you think he did good steps which help PAkistani team rise again during international and domestic cricket?
I think Rameez Raja should continue, the change in the political climate might see a change in that aspect but i think he did a good job and the win against Australia showed how Pakistan can improve their game and if he is able to appoint the correct coaching staffs and help grooming young players then it would be great.

He even said about changing the structure of PSL to compete with the IPL and i am curious to see how much change he can bring and a direct competition will bring any benefit for the regional players.
1252  Other / Archival / Re: Bears continue to dominate on: April 23, 2022, 11:35:16 PM
I'm afraid, however, this is really how the market works. We can neither stop the price from going down as we are not in control of it but just like the old times, this declining sentiment certainly be taking sometimes after bullish and I assume we have been aware of this making us not to worry anymore.
The institutional investor who invested billions in the market has the upper edge here as they have the ability to control the price and if they start a massive sell off you would see the market going down rapidly, but from what i understand they are booking their profit whenever the price reaches around $45k and then the rinse and repeat method.

The positive aspect is that after every minor correction the market is recovering within a short period of time and we will be seeing this trend for a while.
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: April 23, 2022, 11:14:45 PM
There is nothing wrong with futures but when you go all in with high leverage then it ruins faster.
The risk is really high if you are dabbling with the future market especially in the cryptocurrency market simply because it is a highly volatile market and there is no benchmark to understand what causes major market movements and it is controlled by institutional investors, so i will not take that much risk in the future market but if you are lucky then the return is attractive as well.
1254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear market every team will pump their own coin on: April 23, 2022, 10:48:29 PM
It is very difficult to understand in advance. With so many coins coming into the market every day, finding the best one is not an easy task. Because most of the coins will follow the trend of Bitcoin, so it is very difficult to find out which coin Real Pump will give. However, the coins that are being developed without seeing the market situation. Those coins also have the potential to perform well in the bear market. So giving more importance to strong projects can bring a good result.
There are projects who conducted the IDO and then waiting to launch the project because they are aware that none of the coins that are launched in the market for a the past few months are doing great in the market and therefore some of the projects are holding their launch date to get a favorable market situation. Identifying projects with huge backing is the key when investing when the market is not favorable.

I was watching this match and as first half ends my feeling was there is no chance for Gujarat to win this match as they were short of nearly 35 to 40 runs but today their bowling attack done magical spell specially Mohammad Shami at start and Rashid Khan at the end give very timely breaks which help them to win this match and keep their top rank in their side with this win now surely they are at moon and having amazing start of their first season in this IPL.
Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami were the pick of the bowlers and they made the major impact in the game and then their fielding was great and Lockie Ferguson was great in the outfield, saving boundaries and then taking the catch of Andre Russell.

Andre Russell done good job for KKR but still fail to have any positive end for his team as his country man Joseph keep his nerve and take wicket even has first balled out of ground very time and good bowling from him which helps his team.
Andre Russell tried to be the finisher and pull off the MSD trick but he failed once again this season.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: FURY vs WHYTE - CONFIRMED on: April 23, 2022, 09:50:17 PM
What an uppercut by Fury, he knocked out Whyte with a ferocious shot in round 6.
Great to see the update that Tyson Fury won the fight easily. The weakness of Dillian Whyte to the upper cut was exploited in this fight as well. Dillian Whyte lost to Alexander Povetkin and Anthony Joshua with the same upper cut and great to hear that Tyson Fury won the fight, unfortunately i was not able to watch the fight live as it was not available in my country which was a bummer.
1257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concern of illegal use of crypto on: April 23, 2022, 08:47:20 PM
~
Aren't these illegal activities already happening when cryptos haven't even been brought into the system? Money laundering is an issue we are facing now for decades, even after hundreds of measures implemented by the government themselves these things are still happening, and trust me these things will continue to happen even if cryptos don't kick in, it's just lame excuses made by the government to discourage cryptos. If they are so concerned about money laundering or terror financing why aren't they straightaway banning cryptos? why are they taxing it at 30% and earning revenues from it?
One thing we are certain is that the Indian government has no idea what they should do with the entire cryptocurrency space. If they ban them completely then the number of companies that started a business around the cryptocurrency space will leave the country and there are different voices coming from the ruling party which is contrasting from one another. And now the 30% tax is forcing majority to leave the country either way.

He has great pace Muhammad Hasnain and with time he has the capability to produce more good deliveries. Its good that pcb is working hard to correct his bowling action and bring him back in international cricket. Do you who is working with hasnain to rectify his bowling action?
The PCB has appointed some of their experts to rectify his bowling action and even though they have not mentioned any specific names the good news is that Muhammad Hasnain changed his bowling action and PCB has informed ICC about the changes and now they are waiting for the ICC to conduct another test to check the legality and once it is clear he will be back playing International Cricket.

After some digging, Moises Henriques is the person who first accused Muhammad Hasnain for chucking during the BBL and the test conducted showed that he was extending his elbow beyond the legal limit and now he changed his action and hopefully he will be able to bowl at the same pace.

What do you think is the best game/ sports to gamble on ? Do you do it for winning? Are the ideas in the article according to you correct? How many times you usually win in a game of chance+skills?
If you are a sports fan i would stick to that sport i usually follow and there was a time when i would spend time in dice and other games that were available and the amount of BTCitcoin i surrendered in some of the gambling sites is really huge even though i won them occasionally and through sheer luck i was able to recover my losses in some sites but in majority of the sites i am still at a huge loss when it comes to games of chances.
1260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Despite CBN’s clampdown, Nigerians traded N316.9bn bitcoin in 2021 on: April 22, 2022, 11:03:26 PM

CBN do not call for regulation but for ban, the countries that are regulating cryptocurrencies are even making it difficult, example is the new crypto law in India that wants crypto capital gain tax of 30%, that is huge. As cryptocurrencies has not even be regulated in Russia, the Russia banker wants crypto users in Russia to only use exchanges which they are controlling or they should use noncustodial wallet address that is registered with them.
Majority of the central banks around the world will call for an outright ban on cryptocurrencies and it is not different in Nigeria, even if they clampdown on business entities dealing with cryptocurrencies it is not that easy to identity P2P transaction unless someone is dealing in huge number of transactions from random users all the time, if you are dealing in small amounts then there is nothing to worry, but once you start dealing in huge numbers it is possible to track them as well.

With the high taxation imposed in India, majority who are dealing in huge numbers are moving out of the country to safe heavens and that will happen with countries that are coming up with regulations that are hard to make a substantial profit.
