1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What might occur on the next bear market on: May 07, 2022, 03:09:44 PM
The Bear market is already ranging for few days now, and i hope many people waiting for bitcoin dip below 20k for them to buy, which no one can give exactly  minimum price of the coins listed as bear market. Hence make a research on a particular coin buy and hold.
The market went down drastically for the past few days simply because of the Feds increasing the interest rate and that loomed over the cryptocurrency space as well. With institutional investors coming into this space every global financial issues will be affected in the cryptocurrency space as well because these institutional investors will book their profit and look for stable marketplace during uncertain times.

That is surprising - why the World Cup is going to the country - the country which  don't have cricket team as well.
Very strange though. There are other countries which are good hosts and have great fan followings as well. Don't know what is the idea behind it.
May be that is the way ICC is planning to introduce Cricket in a big way to the US fans. It is not even a popular sport in the US but they might be having some kind of plans to attract the fans. They get the media attention if the tournament is conducted and major news network will be airing them, other than that the gate will be empty and the ICC might be planning that they get the required number with broadcasting rights.
1223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price is falling? on: May 05, 2022, 09:43:44 PM
I have been thinking of the possible reasons of the bitcoin falling down. Since I am not an expert on the Currency I cannot predict or give any reason. That is why I want to know the reasons. Please if anyone can tell me I will appreciate. Thanks.
Unlike in the past, the cryptocurrency market does move according to the global financial situation and the exact reason why the market is going down rapidly is because of the fear of recession is looming upon is and in situations like these, investors would bail out and look for much safer investment like gold and the raising of the interest rate is another factor for the fall.
1224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 04, 2022, 11:55:57 PM

Test cricket is a very high skill-based cricket format and it is not entertaining at all for the viewers. I really don't see how people are going to watch test cricket at night after a long day in the office or at work. so I don't think test cricket being played at night is going to bring many viewers to the ground.
Do you watch Ashes, it is one of the most viewed series and if it is not entertaining why would someone watch those. There are certain series that the fans watch and it is a battle between the bat and ball and only skillful players can be consistent and even in that regard it is entertaining for me.

I also still prefer to watch ODI cricket because it is the perfect balance of skill and entertainment. I think in T20 cricket there is not much skill needed. But T20 cricket is fast-paced and that's why I a lot of viewers like to watch T20 cricket more than any other format of cricket.
For those who do like to see instant results T20 is the best option. I agree that it is more entertainment and there was a time i used to watch ODI but not anymore unless the match is entertaining or the series is interesting Cheesy.
1225  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1 Million Bitcoin On Track To Break This Price Level. on: May 01, 2022, 08:16:42 PM
Arthur Hayes, the founder of BitMEX, spoke about Bitcoin and predicted that it will reach a value of $1 million by 2030. This information could be quite useful for those who love Holdear.
Everyone is predicting that the price of BTCitcoin would reach a million dollars, since you are here now, would you be investing in the coin when the price reaches those valuation or you will be planning to book your profit. Everyone here has a target when they are investing and i am not expecting the price to reach a million dollars considering there will be only institutional investors willing to invest at any rate.
1226  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill passed requiring drunk drivers to pay child support if they kill parents on: May 01, 2022, 07:08:00 PM
Like you rightly pointed out, most drunk drivers don't have enough finance to cater for the welfare of children that lost thier parents due to the actions of these drivers. But a special insurance coverage for such incident can be introduced. Maybe such cost or responsibility can be transferred to these insurance companies.
So you want to have a mandatory insurance coverage for such incident and then force everyone who does not consume alcohol should take the insurance which is unfair. If you are drunk and if that cost a life then you should be responsible for the actions and i am an advocate of that but to have a special insurance, do you think any insurance company will take any high risk insurance like that.

I am thrilled by this innovative discovery called breathalyzer, it would prevent these careless accident, in fact all carmakers should be mandated to install them in every car produced.
I do not want to see a breath analyzer being installed in every car but strict actions should be taken against anyone driving after consuming alcohol.
1227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 01, 2022, 06:28:05 PM
Look at FIFA. They are spending millions of USD every year to each of the weaker teams. On the other hand, the ICC hardly provides any funding for the associate nations. On average, they receive only a few tens of thousands of USD every year in grants. So it is not practical to ask these teams to compete against test nations all of a sudden. Improving the quality of associate teams may take many years. And for that continued support is required from not just the ICC, but also from the 12 test nations.
This is a wrong concept, FIFA will spend money to the teams qualifying in the final 32 who is playing the World Cup, other than that their respective national Football team has to fund the team and meet the expenses as it is practically impossible to fund all the teams. Once you are qualified they get $1.5 million each and then there is a compensation for the Football clubs to release the players for the World Cup.

To improve the game each and every country has to improve their infrastructure be Cricket, Football or any other sporting event, you cannot expect the general body to fund you in identifying young talents or improving the quality of the event.
1228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: May 01, 2022, 05:05:47 PM
Are we witnessing only the beginning of bitcoin's adoption as legal tender around the world? What would the world be like if more developing countries and 3rd world countries adopt bitcoin and begin trading each other using bitcoin? Everyone knows I am a skeptic and have speculated these countries accepting bitcoin as legal tender are only doing it for publicity. However, I am presently not certain of this anymore hehe.
As you mentioned only countries struggling economically and have an unstable government is adopting BTCitcoin as a legal tender thinking that it will change their financial issues if they adopt them. The problem here is that, with countries having people with monthly wages below $100 how can you expect  everyone to adopt to a high volatile market like cryptocurrency. In the end i think these adoption will have an negative impact rather than having a positive one.
1229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: May 01, 2022, 03:57:22 PM
- Virat scoring runs, finally! At ridiculously slow pace but we're still celebrating.  Wink
- MI won finally!  Cheesy But birthday boy Rohit was found guilty of eating Vadapav again.  Tongue
- Ashwin treating IPL as his experiment lab, he did new funny thingy yesterday.
- Jadeja gave up on captaincy already due to his poor run, indeed big setback for him. CSK went back to Dhoni.

Even though Virat Kohli scored at a slow pace he finally had a break through after two ducks which questioned his place in the Indian team. Rohit Sharma is yet to find his touch and it is good to see Mumbai breaking its jinx  Cheesy.

The change in captaincy somehow changed the complexion of the team as the opening partnership scored 182 runs and they score above 200 runs and it looks like the change in captaincy will change their fortunes.
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What might occur on the next bear market on: May 01, 2022, 02:05:25 PM
There will also be many failures of tokens issued in those layer 1 blockchain projects. The development teams of those projects might dump and leave the project or just leave and let the projects die. I also speculate that it might also be a similar occurrence in the NFT ecosystem. Teams will run out of money and leave.
That is a reality that with every bear market you would see a lot of projects selling off the tokens and leaving the project dead and dry leaving the investors and this time also i am expecting many projects dying off just like we used to see in the past. This time the trend is DeFi and NFT projects and you would see many dying off eventually.

The projects that were created during the bull market will have their first token unlocks this year and next year which will cause more selling and dumping on their communities.

Also, the regulators will be coming and this will cause more fear and pressure within the cryptospace.
I have seen some projects that are not transparent with their vesting details and how many coins they are releasing every schedule. Projects that are not transparent in those aspect should be in check as you never know whether they are selling of the tokens they are holding.

Marsh and Pant have made a good partnership once after the dismissal of the openers. The 50 partnership between the two came in 17 balls. It is true that Rahul is in good form and he's the scoring machine for Lucknow Super Giants. In all matches where Rahul last his wicket earlier has ended in low target.
Placed a live bet on Lucknow Super Giants to win the match after Delhi Capitals lost their first two wickets but Mitchell Marsh and Rishabh Pant is taking on the Lucknow Super Giants bowlers and they have Lalit Yadav and Rovman Powell to follow who can clear the boundary and with 195 runs to chase the match is getting interested as the third wicket partnership is creating problems for Lucknow Super Giants.

Edit: Mitchell Marsh is gone.
1232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hard earned money - Busted in seconds on: April 30, 2022, 11:50:51 PM
It was almost two months hard earned money. Got busted in few minutes. I don't know why I wasn't able to have me within the limits. Just started with a $3 bet, but it went upto $98 and ended with empty wallet. This is completely unlucky, because every bets were placed to roll above 20 which means the winning probability is quite high. Anyhow I wasn't in control and I didn't follow the rule gamble what you can afford to loss. It was a money saved to repay a debt. Now once again the interest needs to be paid so to manage the debt for some more time. Unlucky me  Sad Sad Sad
It is not a wise idea to bet with money that is kept to repay a loan. You knew the risk you were taking and still i am not sure in which games you lost your bet. I had a horrible month in terms of sports betting loosing ten times more than you lost because there were many unexpected upsets and the odds were really low as well in terms of the risk taken but never gamble with money that is kept to repay a debt.
1233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: April 30, 2022, 11:13:28 PM
Yeah I don't see it as protecting him. If Ngannou loses that fight his stock doesn't go down. Just as Conor's didn't go down against Mayweather. Despite what fans might say about that fight sometimes, Mcgregor actually looked pretty decent early on. However, we knew he wasn't built for multiple rounds, he barely lasts in UFC let alone Boxing. Tyson Fury is similar in that he's undefeated, and again a incredible athlete given his size.
The Heavy Weight Champion is often described as the best in the World and if Francis Ngannou enters the boxing ring as the UFC Champion and gets humiliated how can they ever promote the fights as the best in the World and it is certain that Francis Ngannou will struggle if he is facing Tyson Fury to land a single punch and Dana White knows the boxing world to allow that to happen.

Conor McGregor was able to convince Dana White but i doubt Francis Ngannou will be able to convince in a straight up boxing because the results are obvious. Cheesy
1234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 30, 2022, 10:57:16 PM
Thanks for clarification. You are right in saying that ICC revenue is far less then what IPL is generating. ICC these days is not much interested in increasing its revenue by adding more countries to cricket pool. ICC can't earn huge unless he has atleast 30 to 40 countries as regular test teams.
Looks like you are a bit confused here, how come adding more teams who does not meet the standard of Test Cricket increase the revenue of ICC. Adding more teams does not mean anything if those teams are not able to generate revenue and if there is any Cricketing nation that could increase the revenue they would have increased their infrastructure and improved their game Cheesy.
1235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of Litecoin 2022? on: April 30, 2022, 10:48:08 PM

but if we go back for the past year(2021), CMC gives green because there was an increase even though it was not too significant (early year $126 and now $148) but early September it reached $386 and this is quite a significant increase even though it eventually continued to fall along with a big correction in bitcoin.

what about the prediction for 2022? Of course, if bitcoin can increase it is certain that all altcoins will also change, but litecoin probably won't give a big surprise because it has gone too low and what it does is that it can reach the last ATH of course it's something very good.
Even i am not expecting a individual rally from Litecoin but as everyone here mentioned the price of Litecoin depends upon the Bitcoin price and if we see another rally from Bitcoin, we can expect the price of Litecoin to follow that trend but i am not expecting it to rally to its all time high position anytime soon unless we see some major trend reversal.
1236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: April 30, 2022, 07:22:25 PM
UAE has been fielding teams full of Indians and Pakistanis for the last 50+ years. Even after this much time, they can't get a single national to represent their squad. So there is no point in saying that making teams 100% comprised of foreigners will have any positive impact on the popularity of cricket in that particular country.
The reason is simple, the Middle East community do not love to play Cricket but majority of them are die hard Football lovers. To find players from national community there should be some interest and it is lacking and the next aspect is the payment they get playing the sport.

The same can be said about teams like Hong Kong, Germany, Norway.etc. Then there is a second category, comprised of teams such as Denmark, Netherlands, Japan.etc. These teams used to be comprised mostly of natives. But now they are also moving towards 100% foreigner composition.
Netherland has some good players and to attract new members to the sport they need to see it as a sport that will provide them a good future especially financially and until then you will not find a huge pool of talents.
1237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔥 BTC365.com 🔥 IPL Prediction Pool 2022 & Discussion(Participants Only) on: April 30, 2022, 06:00:31 PM
Today putting my money on King kohli, his 50+ score coming in this match and just to support him i won't watch the match or even check the scorecard because i don't want to jinx anything.  Tongue
Virat Kohli is back in touch but he is not having the same flow like he used to have but some of the shots were great and since you put money on Kohli to perform what is the odds they were providing.

Mumbai Indians finally have a chance to win the game, their bowlers bowled well and now they just need 5 runs in 8 balls to win the first match in this edition Grin.
1238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: April 30, 2022, 04:27:49 PM
Defi and NFT are losing their momentum in our time now , I'm afraid if Matic will even touch 5 dollars any time soon and what more that 20$? if this going to happen means the ATH last year will be x10 as it only reaches more than 2$ in this All Time High?

I stopped Holding Defi and NFT coins , instead i now invested in top 3 currency in the market.
That is a major point that the hype around DeFi and NFT is going down, but still some of the major NFT projects are able to sell out their products much faster and i believe NFT will be here to stay as we would see music, art and other things including audio magazines in the NFT space and even though the hype is dying down there are dedicated users who are in this space to collect NFTs and as long as Polygon is used to bypass the higher network fees of ETH anything is possible.
1239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: April 30, 2022, 02:01:25 PM
Kohli returned to the dressing room with 56 off 53 balls. Although his strike rate is not high. Yet I would say he played well. It is very important that he returns to form now. Although the strike rate is low today, he will probably play better in the upcoming matches. Maybe he will go back to his old form.
Some of the shots Virat Kohli played tonight reminded of the shots he used to play while he was in form and after golden ducks and everyone questioning his reputation to come back, it is a good knock.

My guess was that Bangalore would give less than 160 targets. But Bangalore scored 155 runs in 19 overs. Probably they will give more than 160 targets. Gujarat's batting lineup is good enough. Gujarat may win this match too.
The two new teams are playing as if they were in the IPL from the start and full credits to their coaching staff and the team owners for picking the best team and i think both these new teams can be in the final and win the title. Royal Challengers Bangalore scored more than i expected but Gujarat Titans is too good of a team to chase down any totals.

Also not everyone use google as their main browser, google is suck and can spy your activities.
This is a fact that not everyone uses google but i was expecting countries with huge populations coming on top but incidentally it was El Salvador and then comes Nigeria, Georgia, Turkey and Netherlands. Majority are using VPN and hence i doubt all these evaluation can be accurate because China is in the list and i am sure majority use some sort of proxies or VPN and i did not find India in that list.
