Why would there be regulations on toilets?
He's using it as an excuse to deregulate and free the market.
Love it.

IIRC regulations on toilets and water heaters were the work of Al Gore when he was VP to Clinton.

The results of those regulations are mixed. A fair number of the new "low Flo" toilets did not work properly.

Some are worthless, other designs seem excellent.

Why would the goverment need to regulate toilets?
It's typical of progressive liberalism they want to get their ideas into your life. They want to control the individual, every aspect of his life.

As for toilets, the scheme was if government forced reduction in water use from six gallons per flush to one, that would be a big savings in water used and hence governments would not have to build new water treatment plants. Same for low flow showers an faucets. Government mandated.

I would prefer these regulations be eliminated.

(Oops) Trump has done it again and this time I can’t stop laughing Grin, because of his declaration of war against water saving toilets. This bizzare declaration of war came during a meeting with the business leaders where Trump claims people need to flush up to 15 times to clean their toilets

Trump is 100% correct.

water vapour is not just about the cloud layer. its also the ground level evaporation that takes heat with it

EG
put a puddle of oil on the ground  and beside it a puddle of water.  the water takes the heat away from the ground much faster

rain forests are called such because the ecological effects have more of a water impact than a carbon impact

climate change is about water cycle and carbon sulphur and other toxins is the lung/life health of animals and plants
its why in a smoggy city vs a country field even though carbon has alot higher result in the city, the temperature is not to the same degree higher. however people can breathe easier in the country than the city
....
We're basically in agreement. You've described various aspects of the hydrologic cycle.

Incidentally climate alarmists often assume the Earth is a black body radiative body, but it is not, due largely to the water cycle. Non equilibrium thermodynamics.

Defeated Greta Whines Climate Strikes Have ‘Achieved Nothing,’ Claims People Are ‘Dying Today’

On Friday, far-left activist Greta Thunberg struck a somber, defeatist tone while speaking to fellow climate activists gathered at the United Nations climate talks in Madrid, Spain.

The Swedish teen complained that school climate strikes have “achieved nothing” and claimed that opponents of her radical agenda are trying to “silence” her and her supporters. Thunberg also claimed people are currently “suffering and dying” due to effects of supposed man-made climate change.

“The global wave of school strikes for the climate over the past year has ‘achieved nothing’ because greenhouse gas emissions have continued to rise,” Thunberg reportedly told fellow activists, according to The Guardian.

“I’m just an activist and we need more activists,” the 16-year-old said. “Some people are afraid to change – they try so desperately to silence us.”

“We can’t go on like this; it is not sustainable that children skip school and we don’t want to continue – we would love some action from the people in power. People are suffering and dying today. We can’t wait any longer,” Thunberg warned.

Tobacco was introduced to Europe from the "New World" in the late 16th century and by the early 17th century (1602 I believe), Dr Eleazar Duncon penned a letter about the ill-effects of smoking tobacco.  There are many reports from the 17th and 18th century linking smoking to ill health as well.

Where on earth did you find that little nugget of untruth?

In the 17th and 18th centuries, it's possible that smoking could have created a net positive for society, by way of reducing disease carrying vectors such as flies and mosquitos in areas where people congregated.

It's in the 20th century, as people now live much longer, that lung cancer has came to be of concern.

Who in his right mind would vote for Warren or even Biden? The guy can't even form proper sentences.

I agree. Let's disqualify everyone who can't form proper sentences.

I concur, and suggest myself as the sole arbitrator of what constitutes a proper sentence.

Sentences advocating Warren, or Biden are deemed improper automatically.

Sentences advocating Trump are automatically deemed proper.

He's a terrible candidate. Leftists hate him....

I don't know if anyone saw -- but Bloomberg put out an update saying that he wouldn't be using his vast media empire to dig into secrets on the people that he's going up against in the dem primary. I think the official statement was that Bloomberg reporters wouldn't be looking at Michael Bloomberg (as per usual) and his opponents in the dem primary.

Though Trump wasn't mentioned here, so yeah. Even if he doesn't win, he's going to ensure that the 'right' dem does so his interests are protected.

Since the media is already 97% against Trump, Bloombedbug can't buy a result.

In 2016, I recall that Jeb Bush paid something like $187 for each vote he got against trump.

Bloom BedBug can Fuel the Economy with his spending. Trump can take credit for it in terms of how many New Jobs that represents!

2209  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: December 07, 2019, 01:48:01 AM
your over thinking it to try making it seem like carbon is the problem and water has no impact.. and hinting sulphur is a solution
missing the whole point entirely

again
if high carbon high sulphur emissions are the cause of a 2dgre increase... then venus with a high carbon high sulphur are not causing a 9500x impact like math suggest should be happening

the reason is that over 150 years when they done ice core and tree ring studies they were only looking at carbon. yep when the chemically analysed ice core they actually deducted h2o out of the equation like it had no impact

to dumb it down
its like saying that studying teeth health revealed stained teeth cause lung cancer because many smokers have stained teeth so so the correlation is visible and it must be the stained teeth thats the cause, because they excluded the smoking from the equation or simply didnt study it or include it in reports

other things is that most studies are actually based on ground level atmosphere from the last 150 years. because its carbon at ground level that gets frozen into ice an sucked into tree's meaning the studies are not really indicating the upper atmosphere numbers

upper atmosphere numbers only began becoming measured less than 50 years ago
so trying to say upper atmosphere must have ben 0.03% 150 years ago but now 0.04% is also a false number

because they had no number for upper atmosphere composition 150 years ago

Well, just lets leave Venus aside, you don't get it on that.

Re water, and the water cycle, the hydrologic cycle.

The effect of Co2 diminishes exponentially as more is added, (with each doubling of Co2) so it ACTUALLY matters less and less.

The water cycle contains within itself not just water vapor, but all cloud phenomena, thus controls the portion of inbound sunlight which is reflected out to space. Hence as you suggest, it is all powerful.

2210  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Your thoughts about Greta Thunberg on: December 06, 2019, 12:43:39 PM
the extreme funny about carbon is this
0.01% change in 150 years has been said to have raised the temperature average by 2 degree

yet venus which is closer to the sun, meaning more heat radiation is 95% carbon. which mathimatically should mean 9500x hotter, right?

nope venus is just 600 degrees which is 40x .. yep 40x not 9500x....

Venus is not comparable in any sense with the Earth. It has a layer of sulfur dioxide in it's atmosphere which reflects sunlight.

even you are not mentioning carbon.. you are saying its about sulphur..
meaning even you agree carbon doesnt even come to the equation

and funny part. if your saying that venus is not 9500x hotter than earth due to high sulphur cooling the planet....

No, Venus has a very deep atmosphere. On the surface, the pressure is almost to the point to liquify the carbon dioxide. The outer layers of sulfur dioxide act act to change visible light to IR, then that is trapped below. I'm just saying there are no valid comparisons, Venus to Earth.

2213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did we actually really land on moon? on: December 02, 2019, 07:05:42 AM
Ok, don't throw me into the same basket for the believers of conspiracy theories.

I believe Earth is NOT flat. I don't believe there are aliens in Area 51.

But this question is factually not very convincing and it is, did we actually land on moon in 1969.

There are many compelling evidences, facts etc that proves that indeed we landed on moon.

But even in 21st century where there an accident with Kalpana Chawla who merely went to space and came back, it sounds too good to be true that in 1969, we landed on the moon which is around 300000 kms or 186000 miles from the Earth with those time of technologies and successfully came back. Remember, the first apple computer was launched in 1976.

I'm not saying we didn't, I'm just saying that it's not really a question that can be debunked like other theories which says Earth is flat.

I also thought that technology back then isn't more develope to support the landing on the moon. I mean it is possible as of today but at that time I think its impossible

Prove it.

2216  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vape Products Shouldn't be Banned on: November 30, 2019, 06:50:37 AM
Well for me, if cigarettes aren't banned in a certain country, then there's no logic in banning vapes. I mean, it's the lesser of the two evil so why not focus on cigarettes first where a whole lot more people are affected? Though we can't really do anything about it if a government implements such orders. We can voice our our minds but we don't have any choice but to follow.

If you can't believe governments on a subject like vaping, how can you believe governments on anything?

It's absolutely, 100% okay if government tobacco revenues go to zero because of vaping.

2217  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hoax is a hoax on: November 30, 2019, 06:49:10 AM
People often ask "if the earth is flat then where's the edge, why hasn't anybody fallen off?".

The answer leads us to another hoax: the continent of Antarctica and the south pole. The earth is like a circular lake with islands in the middle, Antarctica is a wall of ice that forms the shore. Above the wall there's a plateau for some distance and then a ring of the highest mountains in the world, beyond that is the firmament of heaven.

Here's the edge:

Don't fall off, that water is ice cold and you wont survive long!

Islands in the middle?

Some puppet. There is no way a 16 year old kid would talk to the world leaders like this unless somebody was financing the whole act.

Not saying those "world leaders" aren't puppets themselves. They suck too. But this kid? She is a very well written script.

The world is beyond saving now.

If you want to save the world, find a way to eradicate at least half of the world population.

Thanos' way is the only way.
Eradication of the population is the only way to keep the globe healthier. No doubt in it, and the statement is true. No kid of 16 will give such speeches without any backing. This can be of financial as well as scripts to make something viral globally. We can't deny there isn't any global climate change, and the same is being talked by lots of experts around the globe. I believe this is the execution of media popularizing this 16 year old Social Activist.

Just call it for what it is.

Evil.

Yeah soo annoyingg i never buy it anyway i think it's really important to start from ourselves without caring the rest because the rest will follow. but yeah like i said for longterm and mass scale change-transparency and decentralized system is better (not best). This is one of the reason why i become blockchain enthusiast, it's not perfect-it have flaws but it offer us so many solutions for so many use cases rather than centralized one.

I opened my eyes because of this : https://blogchainzoo.com/use-cases/ (seriously)

Well, I looked at the section on climate change and really, seriously wasn't impressed. It's fairly often that someone thinks that the magic of blockchain will enable their personal beliefs and prejudices to win out. These people often don't even understand what blockchain will and will not do.

An example or two (from your link)

"Blockchain feature highlighted" - Peer to Peer - Crucial where regulation and governance are weak or otherwise unstable.

Huh WTF??? Blockchain is a substitute for top down government organization, not something used when those functions are weak. Not something inferior, but superior.

CLI MISSION - to accelerate climate action in line with the Paris Climate Agreement ....

Last I looked at the matter, the Paris Agreement really had zero effect on climate and was sort of a political feel good thing

Climate Ledger Initiative (CLI)

International, multistakeholder initiative at the intersection of ...

Huh?

Well this is from what i see,

"Crucial where regulation and governance are weak or otherwise unstable."

It's 'where' not 'when'

About Paris Agreement, it's written on the infograph
"To accelerate climate action in line with ..."
Yes you are probably right paris agreement has a very low effect (i just know this from google thanks to you) but the words said

"to accelerate.. in line...."  because as we know for now we have to do all with politic rules- so this can be the answer. To gamble, you have to be inside the system first.

As I recall from reading that Paris agreement, there were huge transfer payments in the fine print, from prosperous nations to third world. It was at the core, a gigantic money scam marketed as "Saving the world."

But I can play the game your way, too. Consider this use for a blockchain. Look up the expected ACTUAL carbon impact of the Paris agreement. (Not the rosy lies, the real) Then pick a simple change that anyone can do, which if ten or a hundred million do it will beat the effect of the Paris agreement, and make it a laughing stock.

Blockchain THAT. You've done more for real world climate than the entire Paris agreement...

Some Indians on twitter found from a photo that she doesn't eat bread crust.
Their vision are quite sharp.

I'd say it is hypocritical that one who wastes food claims herself a fighter for ecosystem.

Not only that, but she'd be greatly mistaken to think a sailboat for a month or two had a lower carbon emissions statistic than an airplane for eight or ten hours. It's necessary to figure total lifecycle costs into such a computation.

If she is teaching falsely now, shouldn't we lock her up for Climate Crimes and only feed her bread crusts?
