2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Nordine Oubaali vs. Nonito Donaire - December 12 on: November 03, 2020, 09:35:24 PM
Donaire has been counted out by experts for a while now. His best years might be past him but he is still able to compete at the top level. Size and experience will be in Donaire's favor. We have not seen enough of Oubaali against high level fighters but as the defending champion and younger fighter I think he will be considered the favorite by most people.
2222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will mainstream users care about the difference? on: November 03, 2020, 03:46:03 AM
Centralized systems don't have scaling issues which makes them more convenient for the average person to use. They will not immediately care about decentralization, censorship resistance, or having a store of value until traditional financial systems fail them in some way or another.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US 2020 Elections data, polls and bets on: November 03, 2020, 02:55:27 AM

Looking through the FiveThirtyEight pollster ratings it says that Trafalgar has an accuracy rate of 75% which isn't too bad but not enough to really be considered a high quality pollster. They only seem to do better than the traditional pollsters when an unexpected outcome favors a Republican in tight races. This seems like more of a fluke based on having a Republican bias rather than them doing anything special compared to everyone else.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: November 03, 2020, 02:04:41 AM
I usually do multiple bets. I don't think either way is more beneficial, that is just the way that I play. Over the course of time I get a similar winning percentage either way. Placing multiple bets at once feels better to me because you have a better chance of winning something whereas the other way I might end up walking away with nothing for that day.
2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports icons and Covid19 complications on: November 03, 2020, 12:13:18 AM
For the most part, the sports that have resumed have done so appropriately and taken precautions to minimize the risk of infections. There was a few times where they had to postpone NFL games but after they isolated infected players they kept the virus from spreading and were able to carry on with the season.
2226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊[Boxing] Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Junior [PPV on Nov. 28] on: November 02, 2020, 07:12:20 PM
Both guys seem to be taking this fight seriously and training hard. Tyson used to be an obese guy not that long ago but now he is looking in great shape. I am hoping that neither fighter gets seriously injured but I look forward to seeing what they have to offer at this age. We just saw Anderson Silva knocked out a few days ago in the UFC after attempting to come back at 45. At the very least we should get a more entertaining fight than watching two youtubers box.
2227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why New Crypto Projects are Dump ? on: November 02, 2020, 01:48:57 AM
The founders usually give themselves a large percent of the total supply. A lot of projects reach their peak price at the very beginning so they want to cash out immediately and make the highest profit possible. Even coins like BCH, Zcash and Grin which are seen as more legitimate than pre-mined coins reached their highest price as soon as they were listed.
2228  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: November 02, 2020, 01:12:57 AM
I stopped checking for VIP rewards after 5-6 hours after UTC new day. Multiplier is taking my money, but lottery tickets not being assigned. I question how accurate the accounting at this point with tokens or claims earned. Its really hard to audit because there are no tools to easily validate the transactions. I've seen worse, but it certainly doesn't build confidence in the service/product.

I've been saying the same thing for months but there was always white knights coming to their defense and accusing everyone of cheating. Now the ones who claimed they never had any problems are also complaining. I've given up on claiming from their faucets and playing the multiplier since it was not worth the effort with the amount of glitches just to make like $1-2 a month.
2229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz - Oct 31 on: November 01, 2020, 03:52:38 AM
The fight was surprisingly more competitive than expected. However, Davis still got the knockout and it was one of the most impressive ones  I've seen this year but now it's time for him to face a natural lightweight fighter. Enough of having his record protected and trying to marinate a fight with Lopez, Haney, Loma, Garcia. Those are the guys he should be fighting instead of natural featherweights like Santa Cruz.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: October 31, 2020, 09:55:32 PM
Wilder finally came out of hiding. In a twitter thread he threw out some conspiracy theories about Fury cheating and putting a dent in his skull. After previously claiming that Anthony Joshua had ducked him now he is saying that he was offered more money to fight Joshua but he chose to fight Fury instead. He is also demanding that Fury give him a rematch. His allegations do not seem very credible to me and by sounding so deranged he might cost himself the opportunity of ever getting a rematch.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: October 31, 2020, 03:57:23 PM

remember the edgeless project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235474.0), they were promoting to have 0% house edge before. but wonder if they are still practicing the 0% HE til now.

but tbh, doubt the intentions of casinos promoting to have 0% HE. they need to get income in some way, so we dont know where they will get that from their players if they will not implement HE. it is important for their survival as a casino

I remember they got a lot of hype during the ICO craze. According to their last blog post from 8 months ago they had fewer than 10 daily users. They had strict KYC restrictions even though they were supposed to be a decentralized casino and I think that is why they never gained any traction.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: October 31, 2020, 03:05:16 PM
I don't have a problem with people wanting to maintain privacy. It is more important to look at their experience and accomplishments. We also have to look at how trustless their project is. If there is an admin key that would allow them to easily steal funds then that is a warning sign not to invest.
2233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: October 31, 2020, 04:01:13 AM
I only look at established coins which have a good sized user base and are accepted by several businesses. I don't do any trading on exchanges so I only go with what is most useful to me. If something has fewer transactions than Dogecoin it is not worth my time because nobody is using it. The one exception might be privacy coins because there will always be people who find them useful even though they have very few transactions right now.
2234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran Changes Law to Use Bitcoin For Imports on: October 31, 2020, 03:25:15 AM

The USA is stepping on its own rake.
Thanks to their policy, many countries will soon switch to mutual settlements through bitcoins Smiley

I see this same outcome. The US has crippled economies in places such as Cuba and Venezuela and cryptocurrency is the most obvious way to bypass those sanctions. As America loses more influence more nations will find it easier to circumvent restrictions using Bitcoin and other decentralized methods where they are not able to impose their will.
2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you need a coin that does not have negative volatility? on: October 31, 2020, 01:44:55 AM
No, it is not possible because currency is constantly changing in value. Even gold and USD cannot stay the same forever. $1k can still buy you a lot of things but because of economic factors like inflation it will buy you less things in the future.

So for those who questions Davis about his weight issues, here are your answer.

Quote
WEIGHTS

WBA Super Featherweight / WBA Lightweight World Championship – 12 Rounds

Gervonta Davis – 129 ¾ lbs.

Leo Santa Cruz – 129 ½ lbs.

Referee: Rafael Ramos; Judges: Glenn Feldman (Conn.), Alejandro Rochin (Calif.), David Sutherland (Okla.)

https://www.boxingscene.com/photos-gervonta-davis-leo-santa-cruz-ready-war-texas--152866

So he weigh in at  a trim 129 lbs, we can't see his face obviously if he is drained or not with face mask on, but it seems he has no problem with this fight making the 130 lbs weight.

I watched the weigh in and Tank decided to do the weigh in naked. While watching the programming that Showtime did to build up this fight I also noticed that Tank did a lot of his training in a sauna suit. These are all signs that he probably struggled to cut weight. He should be recovered by tomorrow night but I don't see his staying at this weight for his next fight.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If btc > $150k, will you still gamble it? on: October 30, 2020, 07:00:18 AM
I always keep a small amount of bitcoin at several casinos so I wouldn't have to worry about fees unless I tried to withdraw it. I would still gamble with it because if it was worth $150k that would mean I would be thousands of dollars richer than I am now. I will probably hodl the majority of my BTC but gambling is a fun hobby and I am responsible enough to be able to control myself and manage my risk.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 30, 2020, 12:17:35 AM
Dana is now talking about Khabib wanting to get his record to 30-0. I knew it wouldn't take long for him to try and convince him to come back. He's using the argument that his dad wanted him to get to 30-0. If he does return I hope the opponent is not a soft touch just so he can get his record to a nice even number the way Mayweather did when he faced McGregor.
2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: October 29, 2020, 11:46:04 PM
The Dogecoin bankroll has been getting killed these past two weeks. I opened a new investment 3 weeks ago and it is down more than 16% and my lifetime profits are also negative. There's a couple of whales who have been wagering tens of millions of DOGE per week.
2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please. on: October 29, 2020, 08:55:19 PM
I usually will just go by what kind of reputation a casino has, but it is very important to read TOS. There have been many cases where people were surprised to be asked to do KYC when they tried to withdraw a large amount and other instances where people were prevented from immediately cashing out. I want to avoid this type of hassle so I will usually glance over their terms to see if there is any unreasonable requirements.
