You guys managed to stake BSW on Biswap earlier? They offered like over 100,000 % APR on BFG if you had 10 BSW to spare and damn, those early stakers were lucky.
Yeah, someone was lucky enough to earn easy BFG tokens, but I guess such a huge percentage was only within an hour or less after the start of this pool. By the way, I just checked the biswap site, and it looks like the percentage has already reduced almost 60 times.

Not only was the APR short lived but the max amount you can stake is 10 BSW, which is only worth $12. You would have to use multiple wallets to actually earn anything worthwhile.

Glad to see freebitco.in has added an option to earn interest on your FUN tokens.

You earn less tokens by locking them in for 30 days than for 15 days? Why would anybody choose to lock their FUN for 30 days then? What am I missing here? This makes no sense to me.

Maybe the 45% APY plan is temporary and the lower APY plans will still be around after the 9 day promo period. I already locked up most of my tokens for 360 days without considering this possibility.
1263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you rather buy for the long term right now...BTC or ETH? on: August 06, 2021, 04:26:02 AM
Either choice is a good investment. I prefer BTC because it is what I earn the most and I would not like to be constantly exchanging to ETH and every time I want to make a transfer I would lose a lot in fees. I'd rather just accumulate as much BTC as possible and hodl it.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 06, 2021, 03:46:29 AM
Here are the undercards of this big fight.

https://nyfights.com/announcements/undercard-announced-in-support-of-pacquiao-vs-spence-jr-ppv/

Quote
WBA Welterweight World Champion Yordenis Ugás will square off against Argentina’s Fabián “TNT” Maidana in the co-main event, while former world champions and all-action brawlers Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero and “Vicious” Víctor Ortiz will meet in a 10-round welterweight duel. Kicking off the pay-per-view at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, unbeaten featherweight contender Mark Magsayo battles former world champion Julio Ceja in a 10-round attraction.

We have good fighters in the undercard, this day should be an entertaining day and I'm sure I'll lock into this fight.
I have not availed of the PPV subscription yet but I'm sure I will.

The undercard seems underwhelming. For an event of this magnitude people will tune in because of the main event so it doesn't make much of a difference if they put unknown or washed up fighters. If we get a competitive and entertaining undercard fight it will just be a bonus.

And why does the table say here that the 4th spin is given only after 360 days, and before that less. And the text below says that the 4th spin is given immediately upon the purchase of 2500 tokens. Is this a discrepancy? Fraud?

It does not say it is immediate. You should read the details carefully before making a decision to purchase. The site is very clear about the benefits you will receive and how long you will have to wait for the benefits to increase.
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: you are interested low market cap coins that ? on: August 05, 2021, 03:53:59 AM
EOS is not a low cap coin. It is still in the top 30 although it has fallen a lot from it's peak.

I do occasionally invest in low cap coins or coins that are not officially launched yet. Many times it had not worked out because I could've just held bitcoin and that would've had more value. Now I will only take a chance if a token is backed by a reputable team. These random coins that make it onto DEXs are too high risk. Always do some research to make sure it isn't an outright scam.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 05, 2021, 03:23:52 AM
It's going to be difficult to beat a Japanese fighter in their own country. Palaam needs a decisive win for the judges to award him the victory. One of Tanaka's prior opponents already complained of biased judges after losing a close split decision. Regardless of the outcome, both fighters have secured a medal. Palaam is the younger fighter and after making it this far he can use the exposure to secure a contract and turn pro.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: August 05, 2021, 02:32:43 AM
Popsicle Finance- 25M

https://decrypt.co/77620/defi-protocol-popsicle-finance-hacked-25-million
A bug in Popsicle Finance allowed hackers to drain one of the DeFi protocol’s key products for roughly $25 million.
"Popsicle Finance, a multi-chain yield-generating crypto project, has melted under the heat of a new exploit.

The $25 million heist was revealed by security researcher Mudit Gupta, who said “the hack was complex but the bug was simple.” In a Twitter thread, Gupta also explained how he reported a similar bug in another protocol, adding that the error “has been exploited in like a dozen other protocols already.”"

https://twitter.com/Mudit__Gupta/status/1422797923037814786

I hadn't heard of this project before but it seems that yield optimizers are a big target for attackers. PancakeBunny suffered one of the biggest losses earlier this year through a flash loan attack and then a few months later they were attacked again on the Polygon version of PancakeBunny. The benefit of using these optimizers is in the extra rewards they give you by going through their platform but the complexity of their contracts makes them more susceptible to exploits.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: August 04, 2021, 01:06:50 AM
CAKE is a good coin with high ROI. They are always adjusting the emission rate so after one year you might not have the returns you were expecting, but with $5000 to invest I think you should have no problem making a couple thousand dollars as long as the price doesn't have a significant decline.

I personally don't currently own any CAKE because I mostly hold BTC and the only DeFi tokens I own offer higher returns but with greater risk. In the past I have held CAKE for staking and I still believe in it's potential.
1270  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BETFURY OLYMPIC GAMES for $150 000🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: August 04, 2021, 12:49:02 AM
This is why even though I know it is very hard to handle, I wouldn't be saying no to a casino that has 1000 coins listed to play, which would be insane and nearly impossible I know but it would mean that there will be more and more people gambling there as well, it is definitely something we should be considering as an option. I personally like it here and BNB was not a bad choice at all, I love BNB too.

Outside of the top 150  there are a lot of zombie coins and pump and dumps. To my surprise Betfury's casino wallet holds a decent amount of obscure tokens like Reef Finance so there is obviously demand for smaller cap coins but there has to be a reasonable limit.

Man, I'm curious about this massive news: https://www.newsbtc.com/press-releases/fun-token-is-revolutionizing-igaming-heres-how-you-can-get-involved/
So technically freebitco.in will own DPLAY, a new decentralized casino? Shocked
Is it real? Could the team confirm about this news, please?

If this news is real, FreeBitco.in will be another big casino that has a second casino after the first successful one. In the forum, there are a few twin gambling sites: Bitvest and 777coin, Sportsbet.io and Bitcasino.io, Primedice and Stake.

In the future, will we see DPLAY and Freebitco.in?

The article is an official press release so it is obviously real. One of the recent newsletter talked about being able to use your balance on FreeBitco.in to play at the new casino. Even though they are separate entities they are closely related and having the name recognition of FreeBitco.in should help elevate the profile of these new projects.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Undervalued projects likely to trend with current move in the crypto market on: August 03, 2021, 02:34:58 AM
I'm not so bullish on the blockchains that are giving such a high priority to NFTs or that are trying to create a better Ethereum. I would also not pay much attention to meme coins. Outside of the top 2 coins there tends to be a lot of movement on CoinMarketCap so nobody can say with certainty which project is going to be the next big thing. There could be some hidden gems in there but many are simply just centralized shitcoins with marketing teams.

I'm just going to leave this here for those who want to know who's behind FreeBitco.in,  the CEO is "Adriaan Brink".

Back in Feb 2021,  FunFair gave development of it's "FunToken" to Freebitco as well as selling it's majority holdings to them and stating that dev would continue under "New Ownership" from funtoken.io.  Recently,  that site put up an About section that details people in the company.  The CEO is given as "ADRIAAN BRINK".  These are confirmed by both entities here:

https://funfair.io (Click "What is Fun Token")
https://funtoken.io/news/ (Scroll to the LAST news item)

It's no coincidence that FunToken.io and the sale to Freebitco took place on the exact same dates.

Have fun.

Adriaan is only the CEO of FunToken.io, not of FreeBitco.in. All of this information has already been publicly available for a while. What is the point of this post?
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 03, 2021, 12:59:01 AM
Unfortunately, looks like ticket or PPV sales aren't showing a good result.

In this weight division there is Inoue and then there's everyone else. He is the cash cow, that's why they all want to fight him. Casimero and Rigondeaux are not very popular or well known in the United States. This might be a very good fight but the end goal for each fighter is to put themselves in a position to be Inoue's next opponent and get a big payday.
1275  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FTX exchange offering bitcoin in their partnership with the MLB on: August 02, 2021, 05:04:33 AM
I was not really aware of this but is seems FTX is really stepping up their marketing efforts with these sponsorships and promotions. They had also made headlines when they sponsored an esports team. Although MLB is not the biggest sports league in the United States, the sport still enjoys tremendous popularity at the local level and this partnership will bring FTX good exposure.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 01, 2021, 04:39:20 AM
the only way that this will stop is if all the social platform or streaming platform prohibits their users or content creator from advertising any type of gambling sites or if the government prohibit gambling site advertisement altogether. until that happens you'll continue seeing them. the content creators that advertise gambling sites don't really care if their audience became addicted to gambling or not. all they care about is that advertising these gambling platforms will earn them some easy bucks.

There is not an epidemic of children gambling so it would be ridiculous if platforms started censoring this type of content. There is no way to prevent people from making bad decisions with 100% effectiveness. Streamers are not harming anybody by promoting gambling. Everyone is responsible for their own choices and it is up to individuals to limit their risk.

I made 2 deposits during the promotion period, but only received the bonus 10 spins for the first deposit. Both deposits were credited to my balance, it's only the bonus spins from the second deposit that I didn't receive.

After I made the first deposit, I immediately received an email stating that I would receive more spins for every deposit made.

I only received 1 email for the bonus spins but I did receive the correct amount when I checked my account.

Something interesting from today's "VIP" email:

FUN Savings at FreeBitco.in: You would be able to earn interest on your FUN Token holdings at FreeBitco.in too! Make the most of your investment with our brand new savings program.

This is great news because I have a surplus amount of tokens that are not giving me any benefits. This should give people a reason to hold the token and discourage selling.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRX to $1? on: July 31, 2021, 06:26:04 AM
If it was worth $1 then it would have one tenth of Bitcoin's market cap. I don't think it's worth that much but it is certainly impressive the amount of transactions that they are doing. It is a cheaper option to Ethereum if you are getting started in DeFi and this is why it is growing so fast. So far we have not seen a lot of developers building their projects on Tron so this is perhaps why the price has not gone up along with transaction volume.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 31, 2021, 05:05:05 AM

https://www.badlefthook.com/2021/7/20/22585577/oscar-valdez-vs-robson-conceicao-official-september-10-tucson-boxing-news-2021

After his huge win against Miguel Berchelt to snatch the WBC super featherweight belt, Oscar Valdez returns and defends his crown against Olympic gold medalist Robson Conceicao.

I know some of you might be disappointed on choosing a relatively unknown boxer in the division, but I think Valdez is taking it slowly as he just move up in this division and probably still feeling the weight category that's why he chooses Conceicao.

Odds are not yet out, but I reckon that Valdez will be the favourite here. Hopefully we will see another fight of the year performance from Oscar and keep this division alive.

With that record I guess Oscar has the big potential of winning against his challenger and one thing that made him he become favorites of many people because he deserves all the hardwork. Though we don't see the odds yet, at least there's a amazing progress that we seen on him, and I believed he would able to defend his division as he win over all his fights.

Oscar Valdez has made a big progress, this is not his weight class, but he move up to challenge the champion and then won with an incredible knockout, so yes he deserves all the hard work becoming a champion and now defending it for the 1st time against Robson. But what's interesting is why he chooses this as his 1st fight after getting the belt. There was an argument that this is a cherry pick fight which I believed is true.

Valdez already beat the best fighter in the division and will likely fight the winner of Herring vs.Stevenson in the near future. Sometimes it is ok for someone to have a showcase fight as long as they are still fighting the best. Canelo fought Yildirim and that was okay because he fought Billy Joe Saunders afterwards. The fight with Conceicao sold out very quickly so there is still demand to see this fight even though it is not the most well known opponent.

Is there anyone here who has received the following mail from freebitco lately?

https://i.imgur.com/PWuWH1z.png

I didn't see there something wrong with the mail address,
I just thought it was kinda suspicious since its too plain and I hadn't received something like this before.

At first glance I would be suspicious also. I checked my email and I received the same thing a few hours ago. I checked the email source and everything looks fine and this is a legitimate email. I don't really understand why they would need to send an email from an unusual address for something that is already well publicized on this forum, on the website and in their regular marketing emails.

Are you a big gambler?  I have been using this site fairly heavily and consistently for about 4-5 years and still never reached 100k RP.  Just wondering where your RP comes from so quickly that you've reached the conversion threshold twice in a single year.

I'm not a big gambler but since becoming a premium user I've been earning around 1000 RP per day which is enough to cash out multiple times per year.
