1241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Moloney vs Franco III: Ordered by WBA (No date yet) on: August 15, 2021, 05:00:31 AM
There was no controversy this time around. Franco was the clear winner. He made the adjustments he needed to make and won the decision. This would've been a great fight to bet on the underdog. People were going off the impression of the second fight where Franco did not look so good because of the eye injury but when he was in good shape in the first fight it was very close.
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum and BNB on: August 14, 2021, 08:41:01 AM

I believe Binance will create own native chain for Binance Smart Chain. What do you think of BNB when native Binance Smart Chain is available?

I did not have chance to buy Bitcoin at $300. I did have chance to buy Ethereum at $300 and did bought it but I did not hold it from $300 to $3000.  Undecided

The BEP2 chain is already BNB's native chain. I'm not sure if the Smart Chain is a pegged token or they migrated some of the supply to that chain but it is working fine and it is already independent from Ethereum. Making BSC compatible with Ethereum was a good move because a lot of developers either moved over to BSC or are making cross-chain products that can be accessed by BSC supporters.
1243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 14, 2021, 12:42:07 AM
Hoping that Pacquiao will get his belt again. Because it was his belt and they just sent an email to Ugas to claim that belt. Really hilarious! Pacquiao got the belt from then-unbeaten Thurman and WBA just handed the belt to Ugas just like that. How can he fight during the height of pandemic? Wishing that Pacquiao will win via TKO at early rounds so he can shove it to WBA that he is the real owner of that belt.  Grin

The WBA have demonstrated that they are the most corrupt organization in boxing. They issue more belts than anyone else and they are under threat of losing their ability to sanction fights in the United States. It would be great if some high profile fighters refused to fight for their title until they have cleaned up their act.
1244  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: August 13, 2021, 11:26:25 PM
So about the XFUN,do the holders of FUN token in Freebitco.in receive the same amount of XFUN token 1:1 or it is just an announcement so if we like we can convert to XFUN tokens if we need to and the price starts climbing since it is going to be on Polygon/Matic L2 Network?

Its a migration to a new blockchain, so you can't have both at once with your current holdings like a fork.

XFUN is like WBTC. You can lock up BTC to mint WBTC. With FUN they have locked up all the tokens held on FreeBitco.in to create XFUN on Polygon. XFUN gets burned to unlock the native token.
1245  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Largest DeFi Hack: $611 Million Stolen from Poly Network on: August 13, 2021, 03:18:20 AM
It would have been incredibly difficult to get away with stealing half a billion dollars. Ethereum and BSC are fully transparent blockchains and there is not enough liquidity in mixers like Tornado Cash to obfuscate such a large amount. If they hadn't been so greedy and only stole enough money to live off of for a couple of years then there would not have been such an effort to track them down. They have now returned most of the funds in order to try and avoid legal consequences.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 13, 2021, 01:41:39 AM
This seems like an obvious money grab. Both guys are really old and shouldn't be fighting anymore. Silva showed he can still compete against low level washed up fighters like Chavez Jr. but against a real contender he would get hurt badly. Tito has never boxed professionally so I am not sure what to expect from him but he can't possible be that good. If the fight was on basic cable then I might tune in but since it is on PPV I have no intention of buying it.
1247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Boxing} Manny Pacquiao vs Yordenis Ugas on: August 13, 2021, 12:50:26 AM
I would still consider Ugas to be in his prime despite being 35 years old. He did good against Shawn Porter but lost a controversial decision. He is still a paper champion though and that is why he is the underdog. If he wins this fight it would be one of the biggest upsets in recent history. I think the most likely outcome is a wide decision win by Pacquiao.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 12, 2021, 08:20:50 AM
It's a big surprise that Spence Jr. back out at the last minute, there are some speculations that they just made up the torn retina just to get away with Pacquiao, we all know that even Pacquaio is 40+ years old he still has the speed and agility and the team of Spence know that.

I don't really get the conspiracy theories. This would've been by far Spence's biggest paycheck and he was favored to win. Any top welterweight would kill to be in a position to fight the current version of Pacquiao. We have already seen Spence wearing an eyepatch from having surgery on Wednesday morning. It was reported that this injury was discovered by the Nevada commission. I don't think they would allow themselves to be used as cover for Spence if he was ducking.

Poly Network Hacker Repays Millions, Says ‘Ready to Return the Fund’
"The unknown Poly Network hacker has begun returning funds stolen from yesterday’s record-breaking exploit.

The attacker responsible for yesterday’s $600 million hack of decentralized finance (DeFi) interoperability protocol Poly Network sent nearly $5 million worth of crypto back to the project."

It was mentioned that the hacker's IP address and other information had been uncovered and maybe this is what scared them into returning those funds. Every centralized exchange will be monitoring their addresses and it would be difficult for them to cash out into fiat.

The hack probably destroys any confidence in Poly Network but at least investors have a chance to recover what they lost.
1250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 11:28:06 PM
Ok here's one way Pacquiao is motivated as per Roach,

He said that Pacquiao is pissed out, because the title that he won against Thurman was handed to Ugas without due process, so he was stripped with that belt. So he might go for a knock out against Ugas here to claim that belt back. But I don't know if this is true though, we all know that Roach is the one hyping Manny's fight so take it with a grain of salt.

Roach has been promising a knockout for like the past 10 fights. Ugas has never been knocked out and Pacquiao only has 1 knockout in the past decade. I don't think Pacquiao coming off a 2 year layoff at 42 years old will be capable of getting the KO in this fight even if it is a late replacement opponent.
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why be allowed to create tokens with the same names? on: August 11, 2021, 07:25:31 AM
With cryptocurrency being decentralized it is impossible to prevent this from happening. Exchanges, block explorers and wallets could implement some safeguards but since they don't control your private keys it is ultimately up to each individual to check that they are interacting with the correct token contracts. When I add a custom token on Pancakeswap there is usually a disclaimer stating that it might be a fake token and you have to check a box to continue trading. If these measures aren't sufficient and you are still falling for scams then you probably should stay out of DeFi.
1252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 10, 2021, 11:20:22 PM
There is a tweet of Spence that he canceled the fight. This isn't confirmed yet but there is a facebook viral post about this game being canceled already. But I guess he chicken out his biggest fight here. This is a very big fight of his life where he can make a lot of money. I have no idea about what happened but the coins I allocate for this fight will be used somewhere else which is good in a way.

A retinal tear is a very serious injury and he had no choice but to pull out of the fight.

Depending on what happens with Pacquiao's political career this could be the final fight of his career. Ugas is an underrated fighter but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Pacquiao so I see Manny regaining his title. It would be great for him to retire as champion. The silver lining of this situation is that we will probably get to see Spence vs. Crawford finally. Spence needs a legacy defining fight and if Pacquiao retires then Crawford is the only option for him.

Most likely the best prize so far but I'd take 5000 satoshi rather than 50 gold tickets. The chances to win the Lambo is pretty much close to 0 even with 50 tickets and Im not really a fan of lotteries

There will be plenty of opportunities to win 5k satoshis so I would love receiving some free golden tickets in the WOF. If I don't win the lambo then at least I didn't have to risk my BTC to earn those tickets.
1254  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do I convince my family that I want to pursue my career in Crypto space? on: August 10, 2021, 03:14:34 AM
If you are an adult then you have every right to determine what you want to dedicate your life to. The only thing holding you back seems to be a lack of experience but with enough persistence eventually you will find somebody who is willing to hire you.
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is pirate chain a scam? on: August 10, 2021, 02:54:33 AM
This coin had a lot of hype on social media a few years ago. I don't know if it was just paid shills or people who were genuine supporters of this project. I haven't heard to much about it recently but the price has pumped from 5 cents to more than $3 in the past year. It probably benefited from the meme coin hype but this is not sustainable price growth and isn't something I see as a long term investment opportunity.
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Burning plans on: August 10, 2021, 02:08:51 AM
Burning coins doesn't necessarily guarantee that the price will go up. Sometimes it takes a while for the market to react. Whether a token has plans to burn some of their supply should not be the determining factor when investing in a new coin.

Hello again, I just locked away my FUN for 380 days and was wondering if these tokens will be swapped over automatically to the new Fun V2 token in the not too distant future?  (Sorry if it's been covered in previous questions).

As long as they are held custodially they are only an IOU, it isn't L1 or L2 FUN until you decide to withdraw. I assume it will be similar to what Binance does and give you the choice to withdraw on whichever network you'd like. In FUN's case it would be either Ethereum or Polygon.
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are Airdrops and Bounties worth the work? on: August 09, 2021, 04:44:54 AM
The best airdrops are the ones that you don't expect like Uniswap, 1inch, and Shapeshift. I got some FOX tokens from the Shapeshift airdrop and exchanged them for BTC right before the price of bitcoin was pumping. I have invested the BTC into some passive income streams instead of just spending it all.

Another airdrop I benefited from was the BSW airdrop on Betfury. It was not a large amount but it lead me to discover Biswap exchange and after investing in their BSW token I am now getting great returns from staking in their auto-compounding launchpool.

For those who want to see a PPV of this fight in the Philippines, it's already announced by Cignal TV that they are offering it.

Here's the post. https://web.facebook.com/watch/?v=208129074585785

That is not a bad price considering it costs $75 to watch the fight in the US. With the huge purses the fighters are making the cost gets passed down to the customer but the downside to charging so much is that many people will just opt to stream the fight illegally.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol on: August 07, 2021, 04:39:38 AM
According to Canelo's trainer, negotiations with Caleb Plant have restarted and the plan is to now fight him in November. There was not enough time for Bivol to do a training camp for a fight in September. I would still love to see that fight at 175 eventually. I think Plant gets destroyed by Canelo and then he will move up to light heavyweight and fight Bivol or Beterbiev.
