2361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 24, 2021, 02:36:41 PM

There really is no point in betting with such a low odds of 1.1. In my opinion, it is best to bet on the number of goals in the match:
0-1 15,00 (lol it's 15!)
2-3 3,25
4-5 2,50
6+ 2,95
Judging by the odds, bookmakers are confident that at least 4 goals will be scored in the match today. Interestingly enough, the odds of both teams scoring are higher than the odds of just one team scoring. Is Bayern supposed to concede a goal?

It' true that odds of 1.1 are really not that exciting and not really tempting at all at the first glance. On the other hand if you bet 100$, or 200$ on it you still get 10$ or 20$ as profit and that for a bet that you should win with a probability of around 99%, so not that bad at all i think. Betting on the number of goals is always very risky in my opinion, because we just can not say if bayern continues to attack if they are 3-0 ahead or if they are happy with that and slow down.
I don't really think that bayern is very likely to concede a goal today as they did not receive a goal in their matches against Barca and Bochum.
2362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says all crypto transaction are illegal on: September 24, 2021, 02:01:33 PM
According to the news which was published online today by major news papers.
The China Central Bank said all crypto transactions are illegal and will work with every way possible to put an end to it. Link to news: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-09-24/china-deems-all-crypto-related-transactions-illegal-in-crackdown?srnd=cryptocurrencies

Ahh ok pretty interesting, i was already wondering what has caused the big and very sudden price dump a few hours ago but i guess this news pretty much explains that. I also have to say though that i am surprised that this kind of news still has any impact on the market. I mean, come on, how many times has china now banned crypto, declared that crypto is illegal or did other similar stuff? To me it feels like that we have such news from China at least once every two months or so. If this was the only cause for the price dump that happened today, then i am pretty confident that the prices will recover pretty soon and that it will not go down any further.
2363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 24, 2021, 09:32:41 AM
This time it is claimed that Borussia Dortmund could think of making a move for Juventus right winger Federico Chiesa in case Haaland leaves the club. But I don't see any relation between these two teams. Because Chiesa is a winger, not a striker. Dortmund should fill Haaland's place with a top striker in that case. Otherwise, there would be no meaning in this transfer.

Federico Chiesa played a great European Cup and was one of the reason why Italy was able to win the cup once again. So if Dortmund is really able to sign him that would really be a great addition to the team. The market value of Chiesa is at 70 M€ and Haaland has a clause in his contract that he can leave after this season for 75 M€ so that would pretty much be a 1/1 trade in terms of the money, but as you already said, Chiesa is a offensive right winger and not a big central striker like haaland. So Dortmund would still need a striker to replace Haaland even if they really managed to get Chiesa to join them, which i doubt by the way.
2364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP (Internet Computer) on: September 24, 2021, 09:27:14 AM
The technology behind ICP has enormous potential & it's sad when a good project is destroyed by greed.
ICP will not be easy to destroy because in general ICP has been built very well and also to the maximum so that its strength and potential in the market will be very well maintained and can be very good if everyone wants to have it in current conditions.

A reason why the price is now down a lot compared to the ATH back when it was unlocked the first time is that they had a very big airdrop campaing back in 2018 or so, where thousands of people were able to claim 119 ICP or 28 ICP (i also got 28 ICP) and those are unlocking now every month. This creates a lot of sell pressure of course if ten thousands of airdrop receivers are dumping their tokens every months, but i am pretty sure that the price of ICP will start to climb again once the unlock of the airdrop is finished and therefore the huge sell pressure is gone. I personally haven't sold a single one of my ICP as i think the project has great potential.
2365  Other / Off-topic / Re: GGG will have a fight this year! (BOXING) on: September 23, 2021, 01:40:03 PM
Looks like we can still see Gennadiy Golovkin fighting this year.

GGG fought last year, so in this scheduled fight if it happen, he will be inactive for over a year.
I hope this is not his last fight, as though is not getting any younger, many are still hoping he would fight Canelo Alvarez one more time.

Hmm also i am happy and grateful for every opportunity to see GGG fight again i also have to say that i am pretty sure that the main reason for this fight is the money. The japanese will probably pay a huge amount to GGG and his team to come to japan and fight one of their fighters. Looking at murata and his stats i think that would have been way stronger fighters out there that could have tested GGG way harder than murata. On the other hand, Golovkin is already 39 years old and i can't really blame him if he wants to make some nice money at the end of his career. I wonder though if this also indicates that he will not go for some big fights in the future anymore?
2366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you get in early on certain alts? What's your source.. on: September 23, 2021, 01:33:43 PM
Hi all,   i was wondering,   what are the top sources i should be keeping an eye on, to spot future trends such as shib and cardano?

As im pretty novice, and not up to date on things,   i only learn about certain coins when they start hitting exchanges and mainstream news etc,
by which time it is usually already 'too late'.

So what 3 sources should i keep in a pinned tab, and keep my eyes on daily, to catch early coins ?

I am part of a pre-sale group named DuckDao. If you have a certain amount of their token, then you can join one of their different tiers and once you are there you can join pre-sales of projects (the higher the tier the higher the allocation per sale and also some sales are exclusive for the higher tiers). This gives you the opportunity to invest very early into projects (seed-round or private-sale-round) that are usually only available for VC's. This also means you invest before the token is listed and that your investment also has a vesting schedule (for example 10% on the day of the TGE and then the other 90% over 1 year or something like that). This is also pretty risky though and of course it is also possible to pick bad projects.
2367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: September 23, 2021, 05:45:04 AM
It seems that WBO has ordered John Riel Casimero to fight Paul Butler, his mandatory defense:

I can kinda understand the perspective of the WBO here. Of course most Fans were hoping for a fight against Inoue instead as it would have been just a bigger fight and probably way more interesting too, because everyone wants to see if inoue can keep his perfect record with 0 losses so far even against Casimero. In the end some fight needs to happen though and Casimero has to defend his title within a reasonable time frame. So the WBO rather wants to have an mediocre fight soon than an potentially more exciting one sometime in the future.
2368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What crypto projects best facilitate obtaining passive income? on: September 23, 2021, 05:21:54 AM
I believe that earning passive income is the main path to financial freedom. Various altcoins and their projects have established various strategies for their investors to earn passive income, but not all are as effective or easy.

What crypto projects have the best features for obtaining passive income?

It's always hard to pick only one or two projects and say that those are without a doubt the best coins to generate a passive income with them through staking, because in the end everyone decides for himself what is the best. If you are looking for a stable and relatively safe source of passive income, then i would choose bigger staking projects like for example cosmos or polkadot. You don't get those crazy high APY there like some smaller projects offer but those high APY are also dangerous in my opinion because they are not sustainable. Radix could be another good Pick for steady passive income.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 22, 2021, 01:11:31 PM
So often at times, we are always warned not to allow kids to get involved in gambling and one of the major reasons is that gambling is a highly addictive activity, but in recent times we see how young folks are making a positive impact and making money for themselves through the cryptocurrency space.
What is the best age a kid should get involve in online crypto gambling and what is your recommendation for that?

I think the laws that children and teenagers are not allowed to gamble are existing for a reason and that is because as a child you are not fully developed yet be it physically or mentally and that is why children are often way more prone to become addicted to something then adults. No matter if its playing video games or gambling. Of course there are also teenagers that were able to make a lot of profit with their gambling or sports betting but that does not mean that gambling should be accessible for everyone now, because those kids that made a profit with gambling can also get addicted to it, because i think it doesn't really matter if you are winning or losing in regards to developing an addiction.
2370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you see the true bear market coming? on: September 22, 2021, 01:05:51 PM
Like the title says, when do you see the true bear market that we saw that happened in 2018 with every alt crashing insane amount?

Hopefully not this year. The price dump of the last few days is totally explainable to me because of all that stuff that is going on in china with that real estate company evergrande. Today evergrande sent some calming news which means that they probably wont go bankrupt but we still have to wait and see how this turns out. If BTC manages to stay above 40k $ (i know that yesterday it already was below 40k for a short period of time) though then i am pretty optimistic that the correction is over pretty soon and we will see increasing prices again maybe not heavily increasing but at least no more falling prices, at least that is what i hope.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 22, 2021, 11:18:55 AM

Thanks for the update, I just have to see it in youtube, and see this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfgY4-59ZxQ

Stuff like that definitely helps to promote the fight and this time i even believe that it was not completely staged unlike all the other times when it happened before fights of Mayweather or Mcgregor. Canelo is just an incredibily strong guy and when those two fighters are standing next to each other the difference between them is extremely obvious. Plant is taller and leaner and has a pretty big reach advantage of 4 inches, but i think that Alvarez is used to that already and it won't really bother him or be a big disadvantage for him, as he is a rather small guy but with an extremely blocky physique and also very fast. Alvarez is without a doubt the big favorite in this fight.
2372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polygon vs Solana. on: September 22, 2021, 11:10:23 AM
Which blockchain has better block speed, lower cost, higher security and better road for scaling up (network running smoothly with more and more dapps being created on it)?

I think you can not compare those 2 projects directly because they are two different things. Solana is a completely new and different blockchain then ethereum and has nothing to do with ETH at all. Polygon is a layer 2 solution which is built upon Ethereum in order to increase the transaction speed and to reduce the hefty fees of ETH. Both blockchain have transaction fees that are only fractions of a dollar at the moment so i think they are on par in that regard. Polygon can access the Ethereum virtual machine which means that Ethereum smart contracts are running on the polygon network also so here you have the full functionality of the ETH chain with lower fees.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: More women addicting problem in UK on: September 21, 2021, 02:01:01 PM
The popularity of gambling is rising since a few years now and of course the pandemic also played a big part in that because when people are not allowed to go out for some entertainment they try to get as much possible of it from home. And gambling can be really exciting and entertaining, especially if you play against others and/or if money is involved that you can win or lose. It is also true that, women are in gernal more risk averse then men, this is also the reason why there are way more male crypto investors then female ones, but that does not mean that there are no women at all out there that enjoy to gamble.
2374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 10 Cryptos Under 20 Cents on: September 21, 2021, 01:54:59 PM
The cryptocurrency market is diverse, and as a trader, you have to be strategic in diversifying your portfolio to minimize risks and reap better returns. Altcoins make an ideal way of diversifying your portfolio. Some of the altcoins suitable for diversifying portfolios are those that cost less because you can add many coins to your portfolio with just a small amount of funds. Below are the top 10 cryptos that cost less than 20 cents.

What should i choose? SHIB, BTT, VET, TRX, AMP, REV, ONE, ZIL, SAFEMOON, IOST....
 let's discusse

If i were you i would definitely stay away from meme-coins like Shiba Inu or safemoon. They offer zero use-case and even though i think that shiba inu is already to big to disappear completely in the near future i do think though that it will slowly fade into irrelevance and moves down the marketcap ranking slowly but surely. This is even more true for safemoon.
Also in general it is not smart to only look at the price of a token because the price alone means nothing without the supply of a project, even though it may feel better to be able to buy 100.000 tokens with 100$ then only being able to buy 0.1 tokens.
2375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 21, 2021, 06:31:01 AM

What a follow-up by UFC, the first Lawler / Diaz fight took place in 2004 XD At this point I wouldn't even call it a rematch, they are such different fighters that you might as well say it's the first fight they will ever have. But Volk Ortega, now that's a banger. My money is on Alex, I just never got on the Ortega bandwagon.

I just watched the official announcement video of the lawler vs. Diaz rematched and i was very surprised that Nick diaz also participated in that. Usually he is boycotting promos like that for whatever reason. To the fight itself. It is very hard to predict the favorite of this match for me. Diaz lost quite a lot of matches through points recently because that guy really seems to have an iron chin and does not get knocked out. Lawler also lost all of his last 4 matches, i guess diaz is the slight favorite here in the end.
2376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: time to add your bag on: September 21, 2021, 06:19:23 AM
today the price of cryptocurrency (including Bitcoin) is correcting again and I suggest you don't panic sell, but now is an opportunity for us to buy cryptocurrency that we want at a low price, so don't miss this opportunity or you will regret it when the market starts to recover and increasing again, because I believe the correction that happened this year will not be as severe as in previous years, so market conditions will definitely recover quickly and will make you get profit in the near future.

I also don't think that there is any reason why we should be in panic. If you are already panicking just because the market goes down 10% then you should definitely stop to invest into crypto, because here price fluctuations of 10% or more per day are quite normal. Also traditional stock markets also went down yesterday because of that evergrande news. If it is already time to fill your bag is a subjective decision that everyone has to make for himself of course.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: September 21, 2021, 05:14:17 AM
So I recently read a very interesting article which actually defines about how blockchain is responsible for more responsible gambling.
https://www.gamblingnews.com/news/hashing-it-out-ep-11-blockchain-as-a-solution-for-more-responsible-gambling/

The use of the blockchain could be really helpful in cases where proof is needed for an outcome of a bet or a gambling game, because with the help of the blockchain it is pretty easy to prove who is right and who is wrong. I don't think though that it will help to prove that an online casino is cheating in the first place. As far as i know slot machines for example need to have a minimum chance of winning in order to be allowed to use by the casinos. I am pretty sure that this is true for online casinos too.
2378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: September 21. HUGE dump! on: September 21, 2021, 05:06:49 AM
The market seems to be bleeding now, Bitcoin is only down by 8% at the moment but major altcoins are down double digit.
https://coinmarketcap.com/

Will this be the start of the bear season?

I agree with most people in this thread, that we are still seeing a normal correction at the moment and no major dump, in the end we are still dealing with cryptos and price fluctuations of 10% per day are not that unusual here. I think the reason for this price movement is that whole evergrande Story in China. If there are more real estate companies that will be in big trouble soon then we will most likely see another downward movements at all markets not only in crypto.
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2021, 08:38:37 AM
According to some sources, Manchester United are still aiming to sign Dortmund's young striker Erling Haaland. They have signed Ronaldo for the position actually but they still seem like going after for Haaland. The Ronaldo transfer is really good but we don't know how many years he will play at the team. And we can't know whether he will be able to keep up a great performance in the next seasons also. So, Haaland would be a great transfer considering the future.
I not heard about Haaland have new information and interested by manchester United to get his sign, most close with Chelsea but now they have Lukaku and not any extended again for getting Haaland from Dortmund. I think his club right now have to sell that player during have great performance and make many goal every match, learning from other club keep staying their player until have lower performance and not any club interested again for the future, they can get much money if selling Haaland to Manchester United or Real Madrid and they now have new young player become the next Haaland to give much income.

As far as i know Haaland has a clause in his contract that says that he can leave Dortmund for 75 M€ after this season which is of course way below his current market value of 130 M€. I highly doubt though that Dortmund will sell Haaland before the end of this season though because they already made enough money with Jaden Sancho which went to Manchester United. That whole situation makes it also very much possible for me that Haaland may join Bayern next season, because Bayern would never pay ridiculously high transfer fees of 150 M€ or more even though they could do that, but 75M€ seems reasonable. Plus Lewandowski could leave the club after this season to player for a few more years in the premier league, bayern would probably still get around 30 M€ for lewandowski after this season.
So in the end Haaland decides for himself where he wants to play in the future, if he can continue to perform at this level of course.
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why NFTs projects are not making wave-like ICOs on: September 20, 2021, 08:21:30 AM
I read over the news about John Cena NFT only selling 30 tokens in its public sale an event that prompted the star wrestler to withdraw his support for the project and putting it on gold, and from my personal experience, Ill the NFTs tokens I bought have not yielded any profits all stock in the sale stage for over 4 months now, unlike the ICO era in 2017 where investors making 800x profits just within one month of investment. What seems to have gone wrong in the NFT market within this short period of its existence?

First of all, even in 2017 it was not the case that every ICO gave 800x profit. If that was the case at all, it was the absolute exception, because even then there were many ICOs where losses were made. What has definitely changed compared to 2017 is the sheer number of projects that appear every week and hold a sale. It's no wonder that only one in ten of them is really profitable. Also, there are no real ICO's like in 2017 anymore, where tokens worth 50 M$ or more were offered for sale. Nowadays, everything is done via launch pads and you have to hold the respective token in order to participate in the sale. When the tokens are traded on the stock exchange, there are already hundreds or thousands of people who have already bought the token at a lower price.
