2381  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! Rerorting SPAM for 394 days now :) on: August 25, 2019, 05:42:01 PM
I hope this post is appropriate here (will delete in 24 hr if I can if not). I never realized that mods wanted us to report shit posts until reading this thread today. Would explain why I’ve never reported anything. Is this thread I started an example of what to report ? Mainly the second page which is all shit posts. Posted even after I asked that no one share opinions in the thread. Clearly they are just sig spamming, but is it worthy of a report? I guess this is why you create a self moded thread! Thx for any advice/info!  Post- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5170119.msg52008112#msg52008112

If you guys are interested I’d like to donate a Satori chip (loaded w .001) to have another raffle for those of you working hard in here. Just let me know.

Everything you feel it's spam then you just report it with the explanation of why you think it's spam, the rest is mods work.

It's very generous of you to share a reward here. We can come up with something, no problem Smiley
2382  Other / Meta / Re: Active users and top posters in the past 24h on: August 25, 2019, 03:55:47 PM
Nice work, as always.
Are you planning to keep history/archive for the past days? It can be helpful to check some past stats for reference. Like on Friday if I have more time I can check all the top5 spam users for the past week Smiley
2383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitterarians can you weigh in. Does @Bitcoin support Bitcoin again? on: August 24, 2019, 07:51:59 AM
@bitcoin has changed hands before. Even got deleted once. See below.
It can be only positive for the real Bitcoin community.

So, looks like the official @bitcoin account was deleted and someone has just resisted it again.
Looks like a noob to me but he's gonna make some money for sure.

When all this saga ends, Craig should face some jail-time just because he must be held accountable for attempting to lie to the court under oath and impersonating Satoshi for personal gain. Pure conman damaging the Bitcoin image and dividing the bitcoin society (not really but there are still some fools thinking he is satoshi).

То май копането на биткойни не е рентабилно,освен ако не крадеш електроенергия отнякъде.
И аз не съм активен в трейдването на крипто валути.Каквото изкарам го продавам в Localbitcoins.

2386  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie, help, registered with bitcointalk.com, am in in danger. on: August 22, 2019, 09:19:43 PM
Sorry I typed bitcoin.com in error, I meant that I registered with bitcointalk.com, which is on the list of scam sites in link in my previous post. I registered with bitcointalk.com which is why I am worried.
Thanks for clarifying that I should only change my password on sites if I used the same password as bitcointalk.com.
Thanks for providing the link  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0

Now that you know it was definitely [Suspicious link removed], and that bitcointalk.com is on the thread I linked in my previous post, should I change the password to a really long and complicated one or is there any way I can just stop my membership of that site.

Thanks in advance I really appreciate your help.

Just don't use the password / email / username you use to register on bitcointalk.com don't use any combination of those 3 together.

I'm on a few other forums. This one is polite even at it's worst.

I can assure you that most of the "shit" in the other forums is just this >

On this forum, where money and interests are involved things are quite different. Doxing, extortion-ism , life-threatening... some people went to jail for doing shady business here. It's not what it looks like at first, things are quite serious and big money are involved as well. Most of the people are seeing only the top surface and they are OK with that.
Those are just my observations, I do enjoy being here anyway.

2389  Other / Meta / Re: Opinions on who to add to my trust list. on: August 21, 2019, 08:36:25 PM
Keep in mind that dealing with the trust lists, soon you dive in all the drama around them.
Now its quiet, but sooner or later there will be a new drama, that's how the forum politics works.
2390  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, how the names in the merited posts are sorted? on: August 20, 2019, 05:52:33 PM
Thank you guys for the quick response now everything is clear and the case is closed. I am locking this thread, cheers Smiley
2391  Other / Meta / @theymos, how the names in the merited posts are sorted? on: August 20, 2019, 03:27:47 PM
Now there is a discussion on who the names of the guys who merit a post are sorted.

Hope you can reveal the mystery.

Why is the creation date of the bitcointalk account an important factor?
I don't think it's important, it's probably an arbitrary choice. Trust settings uses the same order. From a programmer's perspective it makes sense to just sort the (user) numbers.

Quote
So if your account is older than mine but we send the same amount of merits for the same post, your name would appear before before mine every time?
Correct Cheesy

By "oldest account first", LoyceV tried to mean the account which merited the post first followed by the subsequent accounts meriting the same amount of merits.
No, that's not what I meant. It's also not how it's sorted.

I guess then your facts are wrong atleast for this post - Jammu & Kashmir Special Status (Article 370) Ends!!

As you can see, both nutildah and Totscha have given 2 merits each to the post.

nutildah is a legendary member and registered on April 19, 2014. He merited the said post on Aug 7, 2019  07:07:08 AM

Totscha is a hero member but registered on Sep 12, 2013. He merited the said post on Aug 7, 2019 07:10:40 AM

Of the two, Totscha's account is the oldest. If its sorted by oldest first, Totscha's name should be shown before nutildah. But thats not the case here. So I think it's sorted based on the time of giving merit.

Edit: not sure how it's sorted, maybe DdmrDdmr will update here

Please verify.
How exactly are you attempting to create this signed message? Which wallet are you using? Huh

While your quoted "format" is correct... the message, address and signature do not match and therefore cannot be verified. As iasenko has mentioned, you need to be very careful with "whitespace"... extra/missing spaces and/oor new line characters will break signature validation.

This was his previous messages which he later deleted
As I see he just removed the versjon and reformatted it but the signature is the same.

2396  Other / Meta / Re: @small improvement request. In merited posts, show your name in red or bold or.. on: August 19, 2019, 07:27:19 AM
Looks promising, haven't been affected though but the possibilities are there. You didn't highlight any user on the image you provided to give us an idea of how it should look like. One part of me what's the feature as it'll prevent me meriting a post twice. On the other hand if i were to be a beneficiary, I won't want this (your suggestion) to prevent that lol. But on a general note, I'm in support of the idea. I'll go for red as it will be more visible than bold.

No, I haven't provided visual example of the solution but a example of the problem. You can try to find yourself there in those lists. If you know most of the guys rank you can follow the ranks and find it that way. The lists are based on ranks.

crtl+f and type your name.

That's good but again, you have do additional tasks to find yourself in those lists. What i suggest should be easy to implement and you need a fraction of a second to spot yourself Smiley

I actually suggested it because happens again that someone has merited my thread 2 times, maybe it was intentional, maybe by mistake, but I think I already have enough merit and those could be sent to someone who actually can use it. Smiley
I see no point to have more than 1000, the only advantage is that you can to send more merit to other people, but again you can request to be a merit source.
2397  Other / Meta / @small improvement request. In merited posts, show your name in red or bold or.. on: August 19, 2019, 06:56:45 AM
I just request a small change from which everyone can benefit from.

There are some threads/posts where many people sent 1 merit and the list of those users become big. Sometimes it's difficult to find if you have given merit already to the thread/post and then you start searching for your username. I'm sure everyone has been trough this.
Sometimes you think you have given merit to a great post before but you are not.

What I suggest it you name to stand out in those list somehow. If it can be bold, colored or whatever is the easiest way but I think this should be implemented.

here some examples where the implementation can be useful >

Let me know what you think.

Wonderful thread, I'll check out LoyceV's work as well.
Now other thoughts came to my mind, a way to see who rank you up like your personal merit angles Smiley
2400  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! First anniversary! Giveaway raffle to the members!! on: August 17, 2019, 07:32:24 PM
That's a great anniversary celebration @iasenko. As similar to you, I was on a vacation and was very busy over the past month which made my reporting number to slow down a bit. Still need 150 more to hit the 1k mark.  Cry Regarding the sections,  I have completely ruled out the idea of reporting in Alt Discussion (since most of the club members visit the section and report regularly) and for over half a year changed my path to Beginners&Help and my local board.

So, why can't we have a giveaway like 0.0001 per month to the club members by conducting a raffle? I could maybe contribute for a month or two and that initiative would be much more fun and would provoke a interest among us in reporting along with enjoying a free raffle! Even though we are not a official club appointed by moderators or admins, we consistently bring a change for the betterment of the forum.  Smiley

Well, I do it because I like the forum, the idea behind the bitcoin and the people I met. I love this place. For almost two years now I have spent ~ 93 days online and I don't think there's been a day without coming here for a quick look.
Sometime when I cannot sleep at night I browse patrol for spammets. Call me crazy (you are probably right) but I just love it.
Giving something I earned for the good of the forum is worth it.
I'm happy that I made the givaway in a way so nobody could participate only for the reward but for a cause, the right one Smiley
