1401  Economy / Reputation / Re: [List] Members close to rank up to Legendary, needing up to 50 merit. on: April 29, 2020, 10:10:41 PM
I don't have so much merits to send, but I think that even small contribution is important.
Waiting for new candidates.

This will change when/if i become a merit source.
I see their merit has changed, that's good. Everyone who has received so many merits deserves to rank up Smiley

I also was trying to get some fresh data but nothing until now.
I passed 5000 a few months ago, but these days my life is busy with different (and more important) things. I'll be bsck on the spam front soon Smiley

How Bitcoin Mining Works

Where do bitcoins come from? With paper money, a government decides when to print and distribute money. Bitcoin doesn't have a central government.

With Bitcoin, miners use special software to solve math problems and are issued a certain number of bitcoins in exchange. This provides a smart way to issue the currency and also creates an incentive for more people to mine.
bitcoin is secure
Bitcoin is Secure

Bitcoin miners help keep the Bitcoin network secure by approving transactions. Mining is an important and integral part of Bitcoin that ensures fairness while keeping the Bitcoin network stable, safe and secure.

It's sad to see accounts destroyed just like that. It's soo simple, people, just mention your sources, that's all!
It's too late now.. sorry for your loss Bobby park 24 earned merit blown away.

1404  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin just hit $8000 today and dropped right back on: April 29, 2020, 02:04:47 PM
I don't know what the OP is trying to say with that dropped right back at the moment BTC is breaking the roof and soon is ready for moon-lading.
No FUD can stop it!!

Brrrrrr brrrrrrr brrrrrrrr - that's not the sound of money printers printing inflation, this is the BTC rocket engines going to the moon and beyond.. With halving to the heaven  Smiley woowhooo!!
1405  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I learn Technical Analysis to Cryptocurrencies? on: April 29, 2020, 01:56:59 PM
From time to time such threads appear and this is only to point out that people are too lazy to use the search engine, I don't know what good trader can become from a lazy person.

Anyway I have already answered this question a few times so instead of re-writing everything again, I will just re-quote myself.
Good luck Smiley
First, bitcoin trading is no different then any other trading market like stocks/forex and the same rules applies for it as well, it's just more volatile than the other markets.

Second, don't trade before you learn the main rules how to analyze the market. Your first read should be this book :
John J Murphy - Technical Analysis Of The Financial Markets It's like the holy book of the TA.
When you read the whole thing you can start charting different situation and outcomes.
Perfect place used to be www.tradingview.com to draw your charts, test different strategies it was free, i guess it's still free.

Use a demo trading platforms never use real money at the beginning. I used a lot MetaTrader 10 years ago I had some strategies for the Forex markets as I said it's the same as bitcoin. There should be better places to try, someone can give you advice for trading platforms with demo money. I have no time for this anymore, and sure no patience.

When you have gain knowledge and confidence, then you can go to youtube to find more strategies.
DON'T INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN LOOSE. This is the main rule. Everything you put in crypto, just consider it gone!
My main rule, make a profit slowly and when you double your investment, take out what you have invested. If anything goes wrong you are on 0 at the end.

You need to be very disciplined, always have a plan B in case things go wrong so you reduce your loss. Don't be greedy, you'll end up broke.

People think this is a game and playing it recklessly ending up loosing even their homes. If you think trading is like gambling you are doing it wrong!

1406  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New trader looking to profit from the crypto market on: April 29, 2020, 01:49:26 PM
I was thinking to give it a go back then but what I heard that you can invest BTC but you cannot withdraw BTC only fiat. That gave me a bit negative feeling. I see this etorro ads on YouTube all the time, start to be annoying
1407  Other / Meta / Re: Bug in the Investigations board? + one suggestion for this board on: April 29, 2020, 12:40:27 PM
If there are no changes since 2017, there the board is not accessible to newbies and Jr. Members.
I remember looking for that board when I was a Jr. Member.
The mods have moved them, during the years i also have reported one-two such posts. Don't remember if they were moved, but certainly were removed from tbe scam  accusation board.
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calling the Bitcoin community to help battle COVID-19 on: April 29, 2020, 11:34:47 AM
I needed to turn off the software and then forgot to use it again, sorry. I restarted it now and will probably install it on my second machine before the end of the week.
At the same time, I see @Chlotide is now in the top 3 while she joined the team after me Shocked @Chlotide, what machine are you using?

Chlotide has two active cliets working the past seven days.
Are you guys using GPUs or CPUs to calculate? I have i7 on which I'm running the software but I was thinking maybe start my mining rig as I it just sits in a box righ now.
Another thing I noticed, when you are still fresh to find a WUs it takes some time, now my CPU is busy almost all the time Smiley

*Working on it

Hola, and welcome on board. The OP is updated (just rememberd that I forgot to update the date tho, will do if after this post). I have fixed the image of the trust score so all is good.

1411  Other / Meta / Newbies/Jr.Members and the Investigation board. on: April 29, 2020, 08:34:05 AM
What happens when a newbie/jr.member have some personal data of a supposed scammer and want to post it?

Often desperate people who got scammed, who have no accounts on the forum register here just with the hope they can get their funds back. They do a lot of research off the forum and sometimes the information they got it is sensitive but they have no access to Investigation board.
What happens then, shall we punish the newbie for posting sensitive info which is desperately trying to do everything possible to cover, or let it be like it is now? Gaining access to everyone to the Investigation board is also not a solution?

Fresh example >

It is sad to hear that you have deposited a big amount in a scam exchange. I don't know how many more people like you have lost their funds in this exchange. I have seen this happen before, people deposit in any exchange without checking anything, as a result of which they later fall in to scams. I hope people will be stay away from such exchanges. Scammers always try to come up with new ideas so that they can easily scam.

I think in this case localcoin.is didn't set out to scam from the start, I reckon he genuinely thought he could clone bitshares and make a bunch of money. I think he decided to scam / exit scam when he realised after over a year that he just wasn't going to make any money.

The project lead Dmitry Khorushko is a real person and I am working to hold him personally accountable.

1412  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] Legendary Rank up Observer. on: April 29, 2020, 07:53:59 AM
I think the "round" counter for users with merits<1000 should be equal to zero, as they technically haven't matured the prerequisite for being Legendary yet.
Take sportsbet.io (or the other couple of accounts with merits<1000): looks like she's been NOT elected legendary for 49 round, which is obviously not true (her activity is higher than the maximum allowed activity to become legendary).
Sportsbet.io will be for sure insta-legenday when hitting 1000 merits.
The other two users will probably be (or they will have a greater chance to be immediately promoted to legendary, being activity>>775).

I think I'll keep it that way this week, maybe change the format to X of 19 next time I do the list, but for those who haven't reach the activity I think I'll keep the info in how many cycles they will enter the competition.

Sportsbet will rank up for sure... I created another thread to help those who need some final merit to rank up Smiley

1413  Economy / Reputation / Re: [List] Members close to rank up to Legendary, needing up to 50 merit. on: April 29, 2020, 07:40:48 AM
OP updated. Two new candidates close to enter the legendary race this week, as they need approximately 40+ merit to reach the 1000 Milestone.  One with activity of 1456 for sure will rank up when he reach the needed merit.

TF came back after years of inactivity, so I have hope to see TMAN sometime soon too.
I had some plans to meet him in person last summer but unfortunately I didn't have enough free time. Now I regret, I should have done it.
Hope he is all good, same goes to Piggy and ICOEthics, hope you guys are doing well too.
Damn, the list is growing every day.

Do not listen to any predictions, act as you see fit.

Always do your own research, don't follow someone's prediction.

Normally I would report both for spam, but since there is only one comment between them and they are quite similar, shall I report them as a attempt of plagiarisms? What do you guys think?

In the Trust Feedback Information he has 0 negative feedback but it is makred with red color.
On the other hand on the MATR information you have -2 in feedback. Last Parsed: 320 days, but the trust seems updated.
Strange, right?

Good work man, as always.
Maybe you can add some merit stats, like how many merit the users have received since they joined the campaign and before that.
I think wearing chipmixer signature has an impact on the received merit.
The rest of the stats we already have in the spreadsheet.
1419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 27, 2020, 12:26:26 PM
Coinbase Pro, former GDAX was good option before, when you could buy and sell without paying fees when  making a limit order.
Since they introduced the new fee's system, the only positive thing there is that you can exchange your bitcoin for PayPal.
I don't know if there is any other exchange where you can withdraw/exchange your coins in Paypal.
I have some coins left there and still play(trade) with them from time to time. Almost doubled them Tongue
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calling the Bitcoin community to help battle COVID-19 on: April 27, 2020, 12:09:06 PM
First proposed target would be Top 12.000

https://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/team_list.php

A small difference to catch up from 337.778th place but doable !

Hopefully more active users can join and we can rank up faster, when I joined we were with team rank below 15000. Only 3-4 active users and we managed to go 2000 places, I think it's doable for sure.
Just spread the word Smiley
