2381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's next for cryptocurrency? on: September 18, 2022, 11:43:27 PM
The world is in an economic crisis. Inflation is increasing every day. To curb inflation, central banks around the world raise policy rates all at once. This is why the World Bank believes the global economy is heading for a recession in 2023.
I think this inflation thing will even be to the advantage of cryptocurrency as many people are likely to find a safe Haven in cryptos instead of fiat. We saw a little bit of that during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite how people were forced into isolation and skeletal movements, Bitcoin (particularly) soared in price. I expect a repeat of that by the time this inflation palaver kicks in realistically.
2382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 18, 2022, 11:17:07 PM
... in Bitcoin investment, you can lose everything with just one single mistake.
Unarguably, this is the scariest and saddest part of every online business. It's not just a Bitcoin thing alone. It's a worrisome thing, to say the least.

Being patient is key since, no matter the market situation, 1 BTC is still 1 BTC.
Despite how simple that "1btc is still 1btc"expression" is (I've seen its explanation elsewhere though), we should know that the price values and realities are likely not going to be the same. That's in case one is looking at taking profit. Yes notably, we can't overlook the virtue called "patience" when discussing cryptocurrency. Patience is a necessity for success, both here and in other spheres of life. BTW, I ain't likely to be making sense to those who believe in cutting corners by expressing this opinion.

Yes, they are actually the one who choose on which exchanges we will trade. In addition to that, I noticed that all coins they were asking us to buy/sell are not presence in other known platforms like Binance.
I believe by now you would've realized it's a typical Pump and Dump group and you should understand the implication of what you're setting yourself up for. Bump and Dump groups are like that. They dictate what cryptos you buy and on what exchange. Even when sometimes the crypto in question is listed on more than one exchange, the P&D group is likely to point out it should be traded on a particular exchange. Another thing is that the owner(s) of that group is(are) more likely to load up any crypto they're making calls on first before making it public. That way they secure themselves first and stand at less risk. In all this, those who follow such group are the pawns.

2385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical aspect in trading on: September 18, 2022, 09:55:40 PM
Spot trading is riskier and it become more riskier when you use large part of money for it.
What? How is spot trading riskier? Perhaps you were by chance trying to allude to Futures or leverage trading which is the rave now with  crypto trading. Spot trading is the old crypto stuff and a kind of laid-back conventional method. Its risk is almost none. Until the trader sells, they haven't made a loss even if the crypto dips or continues to dip.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy a token if its price never went up and you could never sell it? on: September 18, 2022, 05:52:28 PM
Hell no! Why would I do an irrational thing like that. Honestly, I don't think anyone would do that. Except they don't realize it can't be sold after they've bought it. If the likely scenario were that it could be sold at the same price of purchase it would've made sense like in stablecoins. Since it can't be sold, it will be worse than hodling a shitcoin even if they're NFTs. I won't be buying any token for the pleasure of just hodling it.
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Merge Success on: September 18, 2022, 04:55:09 PM
I'm even looking way beyond the Ethereum merge and into what impact it's going to have on ETH based launchpads. I think there's going to be a reflection of such in price in days to come. Talking about this merge and what becomes the fate of Bitcoin in relation to its price side by side Ethereum, I'm one of those who believe that if ETH had the same love thrown at Bitcoin it would've long surpassed Bitcoin even before this merge. Through the ETH smart contract, new projects have continued to come into the crypto industry and that's growing the industry.
2388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed on: September 17, 2022, 10:27:08 PM
but this is the first time I've visited this thread and I just want to say welcome to the world I've been living in since I started offering post history reviews.
I guess you already forgot your first coming – see post #32 🤔

Sir. fillippone,...

Thanks Sir.
If there's one thing I've learnt on this space is that the use of "Sir" is bad social ethics. A double use of it in a single post could be double jeopardy then.
2389  Other / Meta / Re: What's minor thing that you find appreciative on Bitcointalk? on: September 17, 2022, 08:52:57 AM
Don't be too certain that those outside this forum know that. I didn't know there was a forum one could make posts and get paid until I stumbled onto this form.
We'd probably find articles suggesting you can earn money here though.
To be honest with you, I'm yet to find any article in that light. Even, search engines don't bring up this forum as a site one could earn from and I don't know why it's that way. As long as I know ( I'm sure others also know it) this forum is about the only legitimate social media site where people post and get paid.

~snipped~
Well, why not? If it is specified in the company signature rules that edited messages will not be accepted, then participants always have the opportunity to preview and verify.
I don't have any problem if campaigns make it a rule of thumb to jettison any posts that's edited from qualified posts. The only side effect is that we will begin to get more seemingly unreadable posts fraught with errors because those who discover their mistakes after posting them won't want to correct them once the five minutes window before it reflects that it has been edited has elapsed.
2390  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping, my best trading strategy on: September 16, 2022, 11:21:05 PM
Actually scalping is good as it become the cause of your advancement and it just helps to accrual profit by giving revenue from very small shift  in estimate. And it is also beneficial as it gives you regular comfort even if it is small. But people can use other tactics too in which he feel uncomplicated and can manage hazards with the help of such tactic.
I can tell you for free that scalping isn't that easy. In fact, on the long run it's more stressful than day or swing trading. I write from experience because that was where and how I started. You may record small wins and then get excited about it. Sadly, such wins don't last because you're more likely to give all that wins back to the market. In all this, each to what makes them profit. I ain't saying that day or swings are better. However, I'm more comfortable with the other two than scalping.
2391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading is good for traders with passive mindset on: September 16, 2022, 11:12:12 PM
Yes exactly because a person with sharp mind will realize good things that will help him to achieve goals, he will always focus on the price of market and the coins which are the best to buy and sell. A person who is best in creating specific strategies and behave according to it will be a successful trader. A successful trader do not thing according to his emotions but act according to his mind.
Whatever you were trying to say here was obviously lost in transit. However, all I can say here based on the little I (think) garnered is that control of one's emotions is key in trading, whether losing or gaining. This is where so many traders have fallen short. They get scared when losing and can't focus on their trading plan when that happens. While winning, they get too excited and carried away and can't concentrate. Trading psychology should push every trader into putting their emotions in check. Most trading plans fail because of lack of this and not because the strategies aren't good.
2392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's next for cryptocurrency? on: September 16, 2022, 09:52:08 PM

You can resize your picture and still retain the import of the message you want to pass across. It doesn't make it very easy to view for those reading from mobile phones and with small screen space.

By the way OP, what makes you think price will go up and hit the blue line before crashing to touch the red line from the analysis in the picture you've there? Any pointer? Putting those arrows that way says you don't think it could get to the red first to gather support before soaring to the blue line. Remember that we're in a speculative industry.

That tweet should mean a lot. In the past few years, with that type of tweet, Bitcoin would've gone ballistics. Let's see how the market reacts to it now

2394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: leverage trading method and psychology on: September 16, 2022, 07:00:26 PM
This went well 1st week and was up 30% but then went down hill fast
At that level you should've set your SL at entry price. 30% steal from the market isn't a small achievement. You ought to have protected it than continue on free mode.

The issue I have is not so much bad calls but getting scared
This is every trader's experience. However, to succeed as a profitable trader one has to break out from such fright. Trading isn't wrestling or boxing that one gets blood out. It's a profession and you ought to see it that way. If trading makes you scared it means you're overstretching your capital. Relax and reduce your leverage or lot size and trade and you will definitely see the difference in your psychology.

Is there a way to make this work or do others mainly trade with leverage how do you handle stop loss and take profit
I just answered that question above 👆

Quote
One issue I have other than getting scared is to do with time restraints I am trying to find a trade quickly and not giving it enough time also aping in and usual sh*t
Show me an impatient trader and I will show you one who won't be profitable. Even as short as scalping looks, those who scalp the market still have a high level of patience. They could wait hours just to take a 5-minute trade.

Quote
I am trying to come up with a strategy that works as close to 100% as possible and have found one on BTC/USDT with an average of 95% success rate. Other pairs are also high 80s to mid 90s
Even if you've a perfect strategy of 100% winning rate but you aren't patient, it will still not be profitable to you.

2396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to avoid crippling losses when trading? on: September 13, 2022, 06:58:54 PM
I like the way OP titled it, "crippling losses" indicating that they're in the know that one can't completely escape losses in trading. It can only be mitigated but not completely ruled out. In fact, loss is a major part that makes trading what it's; an excitement. Otherwise, it would be an all comers' affair. Every trader should know the relevance and place of Stoploss (SL) and Money Management (MM) in trading. Those two are unarguably account savers. The real trading begins with them.

Oh dear! What inconsistency from that site. It has gone to April now. From March 27th, 2024 and then April 5th, 2024. Shouldn't that be a joke or is there something I ain't getting here?

There's no way to verify this, at least I didn't find one.
I tried the following >

brainwalletx.github.io
verifybitcoinmessage.com/

So I give up.
So, what could've been the problem from your side because even palle11 verified it from verifybitcoinmessage.com/ and CoinEraser also did from one of the sites you couldn't – brainwalletx.github.io. I've read several complaints about signing from Coinomi wallet and it's worrisome to discover such inconsistency with the app. Is there no way a representative of that company can be subpoena (tagged), that's if there's a account of theirs here, to appear and explain to the community what could be going wrong?
2399  Other / Meta / Re: The unsung heroes of Bitcointalk on: September 13, 2022, 12:51:52 PM
If you're talking of only people who returned  wrongly transferred Bitcoin to their addresses as unsung heroes, then you might as well add EZ0010 for what they did here by also returning Bitcoin that was wrongly sent to them by theymos. Don't get me wrong, I ain't saying such an act was a mean feat in a world of moral bankruptcy, I'm simply saying there should be more to the unsung hero tag. Like Pharmacist said (I also second their argument in that direction, those who've quietly been helping this community grow should own that glowing appellation.
