241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 16, 2021, 10:22:34 AM
There are also gamblers that had a profit even they are playing for a long period of time in luck based games.

<snip>
<snip>
<snip>

Don't get me wrong though, I am talking about accounts having a profit but not that much of a money that they can live with it. It is just amazing that with years and years of them gambling, they still have a profit even though the chances of losing is high.
That depends on how the player managed his balance. Maybe they found some strategy which is working to earn money from whatever games they are playing and placing their bets on.
Sometimes it's not just about luck. Most of the time you need to strategize.

But we are talking about dice here, right? It is true that I am talking about those gamblers that have a profit even though they are gambling for a long time but we are still talking about dice, luck-based games so I think strategizing can't help you. There might be some betting systems that could help you but I don't think that could make you a winner.

I'm thinking what's the house edge for the games you are talking?

The higher the house edge, the more the risk of losing soon will be experience, and I would say it will just a matter of time before someone really lose his money in a luck based type of games, if you want to win in this game, go big and don't gamble longer.
Exactly, the chances of making a profit based on the luck game are very slim. Imagine, a lottery is a base of luck game, so the percentage of winning is very small and I think less than 1% chances of winning I guess will appropriate, how can you able to manage your money even the chances of winning don't know and hoping every day is your lucky day. I don't think there is gambling as a profession, how they can survive or sustain their capital in gambling since they don't have work.

Of course, that's why lottery is very profitable for the owners or the operators, but here's what will happen to you if you win, you will end up a winner because we are talking of millions here and you'll surely not gonna gamble that again as that's a life changing win.

Don't get me wrong though, I am talking about accounts having a profit but not that much of a money that they can live with it. It is just amazing that with years and years of them gambling, they still have a profit even though the chances of losing is high.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to live without banks? on: January 10, 2021, 11:13:40 PM
If your question is can we (society) live without banks the short answer is Not yet. And I doubt it would be possible at least in my life time. Individuals could do so to some extend but for example in countries where it is forbiden by law to make cash only purchases over a certain amount of money this is not possible.

How could you own a car or a house?

That is because of the fact that they are relying on the banks. There are still a lot of countries that accpets fiat currencies or cash but usually people will just use their cards tp pay for their items. It is easy, that is true but as the the other said, we can't get out of this system right now because we are born to it. The reason we can't just get out with it.

One way or another, Bitcoin today looks more attractive than any national currency. In connection with the economic crisis, the government is solving economic problems by increasing the volume of the money supply. In my opinion, inflation is not the best way out of this situation. This is why Bitcoin has become the best investment alternative.

That is it until the end an alternative. I am not hoping bitcoin to be the main currency in the future but I am hoping to be able to use bitcoin without selling it or converting it to fiat. There are a lot of mobile adresses that can be scanned in stores or shops and with the more use of internet in our lives, it will not be impossible.

Government will not be the same as time goes by. People sitting there would be them same with us that understands and know the capabilities and functions of bitcoin that is why I know it will happen.
245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: January 10, 2021, 10:13:58 PM
Hold or selling this is your own decision. Many long term holder who hold since 2018 at a time make good profit. Today bitcoin price $41k up. So you long term investment I prefer hold I believe soon again make New ATH this year possible touch $50k  bitcoin price.

It might reach that price or not, people should still hodl. We never know what will happen in the past but still, we shold hold it because we might be able ro use it as a currency in the future with its value so high we are just using satoshis. This might still be further in the future but I think it is podsible to happen.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people seem to value 1 full BTC? on: January 10, 2021, 02:43:35 PM
everyone also knows that if you have the full bitcoin, then you are currently a very lucky person. This is one of the advantages of people who hold bitcoin until now.

That is not luck, that depends. If you won in gambling then I can say that you are a lucky guy but if you get that from trading and investing, that would be because of the fact that you are a great investor or a trader. There are a lot of ways to earn your first bitcoincand one of the most popular is through buying and trading.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 10, 2021, 01:52:21 PM
My Betting History

Starting days of 2020 : I took a resolution not to gamble.
Month of March : Once again Started to gamble - Dice

I never make that a resolution because it won't work if you want to stop you can do anytime without giving out any resolution or promise, you can have an impressive runs but once you got bad luck everything be taken out, the only solution is moderation, and having a mindset that gambling is not a business or a replacement for a job.

Well, it will all start with that. To addicted gamblers, it is hard to do these things and you can't just do it instantly that is why you need things like these to remember it. This can help you to find the will to keep that resolution or promise, the will to control themselves and stop gambling.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 10, 2021, 01:13:12 PM
I was checking various gambling sites to see if I can get odds of more than 1.03 for Floyd Mayweather.. but it looks like there are none. The most I could find was 1.02 (-5000) in favor of Floyd. Some of the sites even had Floyd at less than 1.01, which makes it impossible to bet for him. Odds looks attractive for Logan Paul. But who will be crazy enough to bet in his favor?

His fans I guess. I think there are people that will bet on him since we all know how his trainers and other saying that Logan can or might defeat Floyd Mayweather. We all know that it is near impossible considering also the odds shown in these gambling sites.

Well I am seeing a lot of accounts online with a lot of bet in their histories and their summaries have their profits on it. I don't know his entire gambling history but based on his account's history, he had a profit. It is dice game by the way.
250  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto live forever or die? on: January 10, 2021, 10:51:02 AM
Since Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency ever created. So if Bitcoin die crypto may die in my opinion. If you aske someone about crypto they don't know but if you ask about Bitcoin they are familiar with that.

Strongly agree with this. Been talking about crypto currencies in my class in the past month and they've been asking me what it is. The time I told them about bitcoin, they knew about it and immediately told me that some of them we're scammed by it. It turns out that they are scammed by investments told that they are investing in bitcoin then ran their money not directly bitcoin.

I think even though people are not aware what bitcoin is, as long as bitcoin keeps on going, crypto currencies will live for a very long time.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin ever succeed as a currency on: January 09, 2021, 11:48:33 PM
The main issue is scalability and adaptability. Bitcoin is still too slow to be used for ubiquitous calculations in everyday life.
However, it is already fast enough that any person in the world could invest in it as an investment. In addition, it is too volatile for people to use it as the main tool for keeping money.

But as the price changes, doesn't it become better? The more people use it might've make it more volatile but that also means that the amount of bitcoin they will be using is not that much. Fees might be a problem but there are mobile wallets that could accept and send transactions almost instantaneously without fees. If that would be used by stores or merchants, that would be really great.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People still don't know about Bitcoin on: January 09, 2021, 11:43:22 PM
I also facing same situation . People are also unknown about bitcoin in our country,. They even can't believe someone can earn through it intertnet.only few youth knows about bitcoin.in my country bitcoin is illegal so how can it be so how can people will know about btc

It is great that you are able to earn through the internet and through bitcoin but you should also be careful aa you've said that bitcoin illegal in your country. I think you shouldn't create this fuss that would bring you to your own jail cell as people might point you out to the authorities that you are using bitcoin. The fact that it is illegal in your country is enough to say that people don't know what bitcoin is there.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto doesn't want to be found; stop searching. on: January 09, 2021, 10:46:33 PM
Well, I also have an idea about asking about them but not actually finding them. It refers to the early users of this forum as I found a way to see the early members although I don't think they will be telling me anything about it. I told it to some members but they told me that they may be early here but they don't have any communication to Satoshi but just through this forum or some other means but not meeting him directly.

Actually, there are people who know Satoshi from this forum but they've definitely never met in person or seen each others pictures. The truth is, Satoshi must had plan his anonymity before he even began anything.

I don't think he is planning the whole thing, he's practicing it. The fact that we didn't made any progress on finding the real Satoshi Nakamoto means that he's practicing his anonimity well. That he is very careful when it comes to making connection through the internet. He really knows his way when it comes to programming and computers.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 09, 2021, 10:37:49 PM
Whether it is sports betting or casino games, constant profit from them in the long run is almost impossible.
I really don't think so, maybe other type of games but games that you can use your skills like sports betting, I think you can be profitable in the long run, achieved a win rate of 60% and you'll be profitable, just know how to manage your bankroll properly.

That is so true. I think it can't be that profitable but at the end of the day you can still be having a profit if you can manage well your funds. That is achievable on both luck based games and skill based games but more probable in skill based games. There are also gamblers that had a profit even they are playing for a long period of time in luck based games.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 09, 2021, 01:57:56 PM
I can't share my betting history because it is one of the most boring histories ever. I am also avoiding gambling my earnings so I am quite controlling myself to avoid betting. The OPs history is quite a huge amount in my perspective and I think if that is in my case, I would never be able to bet that large.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 09, 2021, 12:36:17 PM
For some of us this kind of question might be personal but I'm happy to answer it. For me I used all of my earnings purely on playing gambling games well I think I have the skills on playing sports betting and I can multiply it.

If you don't mind me asking. Do all of your earnings on your signature campaign are being used in gambling all just a percentage of it? Are you not regretting gambling them all since we are seeing the price of bitcoin increasing right now? I know that investing also has its risk but gambling for me is more risky than investing.
257  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 09, 2021, 12:31:16 PM
If we learn from the bull run that occurred in 2017, it looks like the price increase in Bitcoin in January 2021 was only temporary. It is unlikely
that this Bitcoin increase will run long-term, for sure the whales will take profit and when that happens Bitcoin will start to collapse. So my advice is
to remain vigilant, because the current increase in Bitcoin is too high. According to my prediction, the Bitcoin price will soon fall.

I see the opposite of what you are saying. I think the price will fall, that is for sure since I don't think that it would just always go up. But after that, since we are seeing this height, I think it would not start to collapse or just dump continuously. After a considerable dump of price, people would take it as an opportunity to reinvest and might start or a mark another price pump.
258  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: January 09, 2021, 11:21:31 AM
It's been a long time now since I left on free apps that certainly gives free money in doing a simple tasks. I am proud that this is where I started years ago and this was my stepping stone of introduced to bitcoin and crypto currency especially on doing airdrops and bounty as well. Right now, I am more focused on bounties and airdrops hoping it would hit a jackpot in earning free cryptos.

Focussing on free things you could get should not be your goal. Your goal should be earning money through time, earning free crypto currencies is not always that great. You may earn some great amount but most of the time, that would just be shillings. You could earn more if you focus on learning to trade and investing in some great coins.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino through cheating on: January 09, 2021, 10:52:49 AM
I don't know if these people are still playing in the casinos but casinos I'm sure have already noted these people, if I am going to win against casinos I prefer through luck and skill not from cheating, it's like stealing, and people will not fully trust you, because they know that you are capable of cheating, it's not easy to cheat a gambling casinos, so people will think it's second nature to you.

They may not be trusted by a lot of people but the fact that we are now talking about these people that beat the house even though they cheated means that they've done something that is amazing. You said it yourself, it is hard to cheat gambling casinos and that fact that they did it and beat the those is an amazing thing for itself.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 09, 2021, 10:08:37 AM
That is so true.

It is also great that they've quickly found this advertisement too on Facebook and quickly remove it for the safety of those underage people that might've seen it. Young people in this era are very resourceful so it is true that when it comes to things they needed, they could just look it up the internet but that could lead them to these kinds of advertisements.

There is no one to blame here though since we can't just stop these sites from accepting these payments in these platforms or applications. I just hope some ISPs and some parents could filter some sites so that some of these underage people won't be able to see advertisements with adult content. That is one of the dangers of the internet to these young people.
