2401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Buying and holding BTC without mining.. on: April 10, 2015, 08:11:14 PM
Is like buying a gold mine and not having guards.

You have zero say in what happens to the coins you own.
2402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This thread is for DRK bagholders - bump on 2/25/15 - share your broken dreams on: April 10, 2015, 07:56:01 PM
Darkcoin?  I made about an insane profit on.

My broken dreams are I didn't buy more when it was 30 cents.

Bought at 30, sold at $12 /flex

Get the "new r-box" from rockminer.

Mine has been hasing with no issues for months.. The U3 seems like a good idea alas is sounds like it zombies a lot :S.

I have S3's and a r-box both are awesome.  The R-box is cheap and only uses 100w which is nice.

r-box consume 50 watt only at 35 giga/hash, yeah it consumes a low amount, but so its hashrate, pretty useless

good only for experimenting, if you never mined anything

The new R-box is 110 Ghash at 110-120 watts.

Priced very well.  I didn't even need a powersupply as my computer powersupply is solid so I juse used a spare PCI-E plug and run it from my comp powersupply using my comp as the controller.

.25 BTC for the miner plus shipping is a solid deal.  I am tempted to get another one for fun.
2404  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying Antminer S5 from Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2015, 07:01:05 PM
Bitmain is very reliable.  I too am in the USA and have bought from them a number of times.  The products have arrived very quickly and without issue.

From Canada here, same experience.

I bought 4 S1's from them and 2 S3's.  All have worked great, shipped quickly and packaged very well.  Alas it just does not make sense for me to buy an S5.  Perhaps I will grab one eventually or their next gen miner.
2405  Economy / Speculation / Re: panic kicking in, sub 200 by friday on: April 10, 2015, 01:16:27 PM
Bitstamp orderbook is currently a joke. A medium size dump can trigger panic sellers to dump their coins.

If a whale wants to dump it to very low $200 at bitstamp, he won't have much problems doing so.

You don't know this.  I'd bet there is a very small amount of people that will sell on even a sub $100 dip.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: April 09, 2015, 02:05:14 PM
On buying and selling Bitcoin in a western country.

Kijiji.. that is all.
2407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: April 09, 2015, 02:02:20 PM
It's true at this moment.
If you don't understand what is bitcoin, which is complicate for average people, then you will lost your coin very easy. There are a lot of work should be done to make it easy  and secure to use.

This is what I am getting at.

Until the average dim wit moron can use Bitcoin and not have them stolen we are going no where.

This is the largest issue facing BTC.
2408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin is just to complicated for the average person to use.. on: April 08, 2015, 08:24:22 PM
1980: No one will ever have a personal computer it is to complicated to use and serves no purpose.

1990: No one will ever use the internet it's to complicated to use and serves no purpose have you heard of a video recorder.

2409  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: April 08, 2015, 08:21:44 PM
Metals would be the best bet.  Bitcoin is a good idea but as you have said you have to be pretty good with tech to use it Sad
2410  Economy / Speculation / Re: How hard will you try to sell your bags now? on: April 08, 2015, 08:18:37 PM

It's only been Six THOUSAND YEARS but that ponzi scheming metal will collapse to it's true value of zero very soon!

lol it is only 100 ghash, Get the S3 over that since you can buy them cheap and used, they do decent undervolted.

If you are only mining for giggles the difference between 100watts and 400 is massive.

Although yes it's only $150 for an S3 which is pretty aweosme.
2413  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Do AntMiners comply with FCC Part 15? on: April 07, 2015, 06:08:40 PM
I do have a amateur radio license and I am able to go on many freq's and have never had trouble with interference from asics.
Me, too
I tuned to 350 MHz on my radio, the freq at which my S5s are operating, and I heard quit a lot of interference (squelch had to be set above 10 on my Yaesu handheld just to silence it). I changed the freq of the AntMiner, tuned to 350 MHz again, and didn't hear anything. I tuned to the miner's new frequency and heard the same noise. Certainly the S5s, not being in completely enclosed cases / Faraday cages, emit more RF interference than enclosed miners, but it doesn't seem to be much, considering my power levels decrease fairly rapidly with increasing distance my handheld Yaesu is from the miners.

I would guess it is to do with the electricity as much as anything your talking about a decent amount of watts.   And it would create a electric field that farther you get away less it is.  I cant think of the device name but I have one where I can see if electric is flowing through a cable just by the air around it because of the electric field.

Go by something else with 550-600 watts of electricity and I think you will see a small amount of interference no matter what it is.  If you really want interference look at a electric drill going along antenna wire, or run near a microwave.

A current transformer... They are used every where!
2414  Economy / Economics / Re: Cyprus lifts all capital controls on: April 07, 2015, 06:07:17 PM
I agree with everyone else.  Only an utter fool would put money into their banks.  Even though pretty much all banks there is a chance they take your money this one has.

no. 2019, until then nothing will happen.

The "famous" millicat, bred in China.  This is the longest one ever to survive.

that can't possibly be true...

..................... ...  You don't have millicats in your country?  They are pretty awesome if they are nice you can cuddle them like a body pillow.
2419  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Government Is Planting Child Porn On Your Computer on: April 07, 2015, 03:25:56 PM
What? Why would the government do this and what are the sources for all that information? I call bullshit

Imprison anyone that would question their will and destroy that persons ability to have a voice.

Quite a simple plan actually.  The gov would 100% do this they are the pigs of pigs of pigs of pigs.  They care about no man or women, they would watch their own children be raped and torn apart for a few bucks.  The top of the top must be disgusting pigs to get there.. our system is horrible but it is better than anything we have had before but still horrid.
2420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe the blockchain in one sentence on: April 07, 2015, 03:21:01 PM
Blockchain for me means being able to store, send and receive value without using a bank and also to avoid governments.

On topic, this sentence.
