1601  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canada travel restrictions to terrorist hotspots on: August 13, 2015, 02:25:51 PM
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/harper-proposes-travel-restrictions-1.3184703

Conservative Leader Stephen Harper said Sunday if re-elected he would introduce legislation that would make it a criminal offence for Canadians to travel to parts of the world under the control of extremist groups.

Another example of striping away freedoms under the guise of protection. Harper has been very active lately in attacking Canadians freedoms, will be interesting to see if we get a push back in the upcoming election.

NDP.. it's our only hope of repealing bill C-51, nothing else matters.
1602  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Any blockchain.info clones? on: August 13, 2015, 02:24:27 PM
I've been trying to find a replacement, but none satisfies me enough, the layout on blockchain.info was too nice.

Any chances at a clone that doesn't commit the terrible mistakes we had in the past by blockchain.info?

... you think some other group that has a smaller skill set and a smaller budget would do better?
1603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is Second Life starting to use Bitcoin? on: August 13, 2015, 02:23:37 PM

1604  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BitFury has the No. 1 Crown for Now... on: August 13, 2015, 02:09:32 PM
https://blockchain.info/pools?timespan=4days

Check out the 4 day, thats even more sad. Think this is a first time in mining history any single entity is the largest. Larger than any pool for 4 days running. FUCK YOU BITFURY!
BTC becoming more and more centralized... fun times. Game is almost over =)

Are you mining?

No?

Oh okay..

See the problem?

Still sending emails from his gmx.com account and all.  Wink

Kinda strange that Microsoft would use an example image like that one. Thought I'd just post it here for fun.

He/She/They no longer control that address.

why all this fear guys , if we could import our private keys or wallet backups to the the new bitcoin client (u know the name  Roll Eyes ) then why all this fear of losing coins and having useless coins , if majority switch then we should all switch  it's that simple

You won't lose your coins.. You'll actually double up.  You'll have coins on QT and XT.

1617  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: lower then expected speeds? on: August 11, 2015, 01:53:18 PM

So 1GH/s is the highest speed to expect from my 295x2? Well that's disappointing to hear and ridiculously low, but thanks for the info.

Mine an X11 coin.....

NO GPU or CPU stands a chance against Asic's.. SHA-256 and Srypt are ASIC only at this point.
1618  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Need help start mining on: August 11, 2015, 01:43:55 PM
S3, S4 or S5 would all be great.

Bitmain has the S5 on at it's site for pretty cheap, they are used but my Bitmain machines have been kicking it for over a year and a half so it's a solid product.

I think people should stop using web/online wallets altogether,

They're great for a daily wallet.  People need to stop storing mass amounts on them.
