So Opportunity, Such win.

BTC is illegal, good luck fencing those illicit coinz

That's a laughable post coming from someone who believes that BCash SV is the real Bitcoin. We really don't know if you truly believe that, because everyone knows that there's a hidden agenda. You've scammed enough newbies, ser.

Plus welcome back. You chose the best time to post FUD again. FUD that will be memefied in two years. Make the FUD good. We salute you.

Lol, as I have said in the previous post, there are a lot of newbies posting with their loom and gloom prediction and then the argument about bitcoin's environmental impact, same cycle, same shit.  Grin

But I. totally forget that we have also the perma-bears in our community, or shall I say anti-bitcoin to begin with. They will also start coming out of their hiatus and take advantage of the worst scenarios.

He's not a perma-bear, he's a member of the Cult of Craig, spreading disinformation, and gaslighting anyone/who they can victimize and trick into selling their Bitcoin for Shitcoin SV.

This person actually thought he was holding 15 "BitCoins" in his wallet after listening to a con-artist, or maybe the con-artist truly believed that SV is the real Bitcoin, which is worse https://twitter.com/andrespollan/status/1185455536084541441

I played Classic Black Jack 5 mBTC per deal for about 45 minutes in total, and I believe I made 6th place, which won me $0.65.
...
What guides should a Black Jack newbie like me should start reading?

Wagering contest are not really helpful. these are not methods for earning. Don't count on these.

Video Course of BlackJack for people who want to learn BlackJack
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5392847.0

I suggest you start with this series of videos because they are really informative and helpful.
However, I would like to point out that some information is more applicable to live gambling in a casino rather than to an online casino. But they are always useful information that can help you to frame the type of game.
Enjoy!!!

Thank you ser!!!

A queston about card-counting in BlackJack for casinos online. How many "virtual decks" do they use in the "virtual shoe"? Or do they truly have "a shoe", or is there actually an infinite amount of decks that it makes it impossible for card-counting?

Pheew! I manage to have a 1200$ profit since yesterday by playing blackjack on VIP table. The 3 session that I made is very intense and almost depleted my bank roll to zero. By the way, The 3 withdraw records above has a 500$ initial bank roll so the profit will be subtracted by the bankroll.

I was getting greedy so I decided to stop today and try again next when my state of my mind back to normal. Just sharing my experience and self control as well.  Wink

 Shocked
How do you do it ser?

How long can an absolute newbie learn from nothing, to become OK in BlackJack and become a small winner?
2443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: June 18, 2022, 09:51:30 AM
The fact that we reached the previous ATH (almost at $20k) which has never happened before, is another good indication that the cycles are broken and we are seeing an entirely new trend. If you look at the previous cycles, they always have a much bigger peak compared to this one and their bubble burst never leads to price going to the previous peak. For example when the 2017 bubble burst the price didn't drop to previous peak at $1200 but instead reached $3200 which is about 3 times higher.

This time we didn't even have a bubble and price dropped down to the previous peak!

What will happen to PlanB and his Stock To Flow Model?

I used to doubt it, then I believed it, and then I doubted it again, only to be called stupid for doubting it. I am the stupid one in the forum, but pooyah87 I value your opinion, what's your current opinion of Stock To Flow, and what's your opinion of those people who remain in the belief that it's not a flawed model?
2444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: June 18, 2022, 09:37:43 AM
Anyone who, especially an"influencer", tells you that Bitcoin is "dead" merely wants to buy at the lowest possible price at this point of Bitcoin's existence. The two bear cycles before the current one, is what they truly believed to be "Bitcoin is dead", but currently it is "buy the DIP". Mainstream investors have already learned, the hard way, and have accepted that Bitcoin will NOT die. They want the REAL DIP. The GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY. The GENERATIONAL BOTTOM.
2445  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: June 17, 2022, 12:27:16 PM
Should Germany should actually start a new Nuclear energy program to meet their energy needs? I'm a mere pleb, I don't know. The obvious answer, yes. I believe the United Kingdom has already started.

One of the problems with nuclear power is that everything is very slow there, it will take years, if not decades, to fully resume the European nuclear program. Another problem is with the source of enriched uranium supplies, which is approximately 40% controlled by Russia. There are also difficulties with unenriched uranium, it simply does not exist in Europe, and Africa does not seem to have the necessary enthusiasm to be a cash cow for its former colonialists.

 Shocked

Germany might have believed too much in its Renewable Energy program, that they might have thought they were not coming back to Nuclear Energy. Plus can Uranium be stored? Or can Russia use their Uranium exports to punish Europe/the U.S. again?

Quote

Another problem is the dramatic drop in the level of competence of European engineers in nuclear power. France's attempt to build a nuclear power plant in Finland in the early 2000s ended in complete failure, exceeding the original budget by three times. In general, there are a number of serious difficulties for Europe in this direction. And given that the most powerful Zaporozhye NPP in Europe actually left the European energy system and moved into the Russian energy system, there are already difficulties with load balancing in Europe, because windmills and solar panels are an unstable source of electricity, energy generation at night and in the absence of wind (or on the contrary, if the wind is too strong), it can drop to zero on them.

I don’t know what is in the head of European politicians who are overly enthusiastic about the green agenda, but there is a suspicion, turning into confidence, that there is burnt porridge.

Shower thought. Black Swan = World War III?

I believe if Germany and the restof Europe is pushed enough, they might strike back and use Ukraine as the entry.
2446  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | 0.28% House edge | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: June 17, 2022, 09:41:42 AM
How much capital do you need and how large should be the bets? Will $100, the signature campaign payment, be enough to play for the day, or will the house edge slowly take all my $100 away in one day? Hahaha.

I can't control my emotions very well sometimes when I'm "gambling", that's why I stopped active trading, and just HODL.

Well it depends on what you want to achieve in terms of target wager, and how soon you want. There's no autobet at this site on the games I play so it does need a slightly bigger amount or a big time investment although winning the cashbacks on contests really helps with the house edge as I said.

$100 is way enough to play for a day, if your aim is to gain wagering amount with the possibility of losing it all to get $2500 wager is really easy (always blackjack on low house edge). 2500 hands and all the cashback should see 0.1 BTC in a day no problems. House edge at under 0.3% means you lose 3 out of 1000 hands. Theoretically you can bet $1 22,000 times and lose initial $60 to get the 1 BTC VIP.

I would say even a good chance of getting to $5000 if you want to take some small risks (like semi martingale).

Thanks for the advice! I actually sent $50 to try how I'll do on the hourly contest. I played Classic Black Jack 5 mBTC per deal for about 45 minutes in total, and I believe I made 6th place, which won me $0.65. Although, I lost $20. Hahaha. I need to learn how to play Black Jack more efficiently, play more/lose less. What guides should a Black Jack newbie like me should start reading?
2447  Economy / Economics / Re: Who will Replace Russian Gas Supplies to Europe? on: June 17, 2022, 05:20:26 AM
In Germany, the government is crying over Russia's further cuts of gas supplies, accusing that Russia is doing it to drive up price, WHILE the same German government is telling other European countries to stop imports of Russian Natural Gas. Hahaha.

Should Germany should actually start a new Nuclear energy program to meet their energy needs? I'm a mere pleb, I don't know. The obvious answer, yes. I believe the United Kingdom has already started.
2448  Economy / Economics / Re: The Fed's purpose of "QT" or Quantitative Tightening. on: June 16, 2022, 10:46:04 AM
I believe there are some countries around the world that have started implementing price controls. That will cause more shortages in the supply side, because the producers are not getting the fair market price vs. the expenses/costs to make them. When there are shortages, there will be rationing. Has your local grocery started rationing some food items?
2449  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching college students about Bitcoin on: June 16, 2022, 09:41:31 AM
OP, good job ser! Please inspire/encourage these children to learn how to code, or to have more interest towards computers in general. Plus maybe next time emphasize on Bitcoin mainly as an unstoppable tool, that's open/available for everyone, to send/receive/store value over the internet, WITHOUT a middleman, WITHOUT government, WITHOUT the banksters. When they grow up, enough young minds carrying that realization could become a powerful force.

What games do you play? I used to be fairly active in Crypto.Games, but I never made a small balance grow even though I was seriously trying through playing Dice, Slots, sometimes Roulette, and Minesweeper. Although Minesweeper has gotten most of my time in the site. Hahaha.

Shower thought. What games would give less house edge for the casino, and some house edge back to the user? I believe those games would make the user play longer because his/her capital will last longer too. Cool

Just blackjack mainly, house one as that's with the smallest house edge. Roulette on occassion if I'm trying to wager bigger quicker to get wager numbers up, but took a break from it 2 months ago or something, can't remember.

Blackjack's what you're looking for, spread the play hourly to win the contests, that really adds up to the house edge and gives you essentially cashback at high % (even 1 win is enough to get a few hundred satoshi back).

I wish this post was true,,, but today we are experiencing a really bad period so far especially because ETH is now below the 2017 ATH,,, and to be living in a time when you are holding ETH that was more valuable 5 years ago, that is something of a warning to BTC.

And yes ETH case is probably the merging news but Bitcoin also dropping is all pointing to stock market and inflation news effects. Tough week for everyone.

I believe it will not make a difference for the past and current Bull/Bear cycles for Bitcoin. It will be the same 4-year cycle repeating over and over and over until another breakthrough that's truly better replaces Bitcoin. If Bitcoin crashes below 2017's ATH, then it's only an illustration of the high volatility of the market during 2017.

I feel you bro. I got the last campaign payment too and only around 70$. I just gamble it and manage to win 40$ to recover the passive loss that brought to us by massacred Bitcoin. I really hate playing with Bitcoin right now since my balance in $ keeps declining even though I'm winning few rounds in Blackjack.

I guess this is the perfect time to farm more wager in Bitcoin due it's very low price. I planning to reach the 5BTC goal to increase my passive rewards. BTW @Dewi Aries seems hitting a lot of wins in the leaderboard lately. Nice profit mate!

Yep I've been gambling more and more now, which isn't actually my true plan lol

I stopped for a while around 1.7 BTC wagered, told myself only going to play small until balance grows. It was about 8 weeks ago and I should have only grown to 1.74 BTC but now it is 1.98, about 5 or 6 times more than I promised myself.

Don't think there's a reward for 5 btc? GOD or RW would have mentioned Wink

If there is, I might think about that wagering faster lol

2454  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Megathread] The long-known PoW vs. PoS debate on: June 15, 2022, 06:26:37 AM
Then there goes the debate, POW will always be > POS. Has anyone noticed the POS advocates/promoters of the topic were nowhere to be seen when the point was being made after this post? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5387588.msg60314887#msg60314887

They are usually very aggressive in convincing the newbies that "POW = wasteful" without truly understanding Bitcoin's underlying nature which makes POW superior. But we could let it go as chosen trade-offs.
2455  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Megathread] The long-known PoW vs. PoS debate on: June 14, 2022, 12:23:47 PM
What would "cost" more, the cost of printing enough fiat currency to buy > 51% of "POS Bitcoin" coins, or the cost of printing enough currency to have > 51% hashing power in the Bitcoin network?
You don't need some hypothetical scenario that involves printing money, we have actual cases that happened in shitcoins that have PoS algorithm in the past like the case with Steem network where exchanges took over the chain simply because they held a large number of that shitcoin without spending a dime.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5387588.msg59383033#msg59383033

That's merely a "young, nacsent" altcoin. I was thinking about a more developed/mature coin, with high market value. As an example, Ethereum, which is going to make the switch to POS.

If the world's central banks printed enough fiat currency to buy 51% of the coins, that would imply they are buying at least 10 million coins. Are there that much for sale on the open markets? Attempting to buy it in a short period of time would drive demand over existing supply. We'd see $10m BTC sooner.

What if they will only buy it during bear cycles, and they're willing to take their time?
2456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 14, 2022, 07:28:00 AM
I changed the title of the topic from "Buy every DIP, and HODL!" to  "Buy the DIP, and HODL!" because April 2019 was very a different market situation compared to July 2021. I believe we should change it back to the old title? I'm a mere pleb making stupid guesses. My guess is Bitcoin will be more than $30,000 on October 2022. Cool
2457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: June 13, 2022, 08:22:43 AM
I believe another golden opportunity to Buy the DIP, and HODL is almost near.

"They can buy this DIP right now, then DCA when it touches the 200-week SMA line, which could happen as early as July, or August.", https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5132720.msg60172392#msg60172392

There will be predictions of "Bitcoin to $10,000, or possibly lower", but zoom out. Bitcoin has NEVER stayed long under its 200-week SMA line for a long period of time. Can it trade below that? Yes it can. Should you place bids? Why not. BUT, just be sure to bid near over, and under Bitcoin's 200-week SMA. It's currently $22,375.
2458  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's historical correlation with traditional markets begins to weaken on: June 13, 2022, 05:59:09 AM
Fake? Ser, I literally included the link of the site that chart came from. Are you saying CoinMetrics is giving us the plebs false data? Plus what would OP's zoomed out chart currently look like?

Read my whole post, I was just making fun of pooya87 and his claims that bitcoin has no correlation with the traditional markets, for him everything that contradicts his belief is based on suppositions fake. Add the fact that the current moves are heavily influenced by the US market and he is probably having his worse day yet.

Is it also worth mentioning if "the weakening" itself starts weakening after another few days? If yes, then I agree to disagree. Zoom out, it's getting stronger and stronger since the last bull cycle started. It could signify that as Bitcoin becomes more and more mainstream, the correlation between legacy markets and Bitcoin could become more and more correlated.

For a brief period, it looked like it was coming down, the graphs do show a tiny bump, well that is now gone and done for it, I don't know what caused that and maybe it was the traditional pause on Memorial day while the crypto exchange never close, but with the current events unfolding I wonder why anyone would even dare today the things are not interlinked like never before, even the time of the dumps of both the stock market and crypto exchanges were timed to the minute.

It's understandable in my opinion. There are some people within the Bitcoin community who take some more time before finally being convinced that something has in fact changed. Bitcoin entering more and more of the mainstream has changed market its behavior, BUT it's debatable. It might always be influenced. Because all liquidity comes from Central Banks wether they start expanding, or tightening.
2459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DISCUSSION: Bitcoin’s Integration with The ICP Blockchain on: June 11, 2022, 11:50:47 AM
Quote

It’s essential to mention that ICP still relies on the throughput of Bitcoin’s blockchain with this approach.

OP, or anyone who's smart, from a technical standpoint, what would the net-positive of this "integration" be for Bitcoin? Plus why "Bitcoin"? Why can't they simply be "ICP"? Call me cynical, but this is the kind of clout-chasing some altcoin developers do to attract attention, and bring "legitimacy" towards their own network. There are probably developers from other networks who truly want to bring a net-positive for Bitcoin, and reciprocally to their own coin, but I don't know if it's ICP.
2460  Other / Archival / Re: The growth of annual inflation in US reached 8.6% on: June 11, 2022, 08:50:27 AM
Jerome Powell would have to do his own Paul Volker moment, and tell everyone to "tighten their belts", and raise interest rates higher than initially planned to control inflation. It will a be hard landing, there is currently no other choice but to swallow the truth that everything should be crashing down before it can surge up. Depleted savings, mass lay-offs, business/banking collapse, simply the whole set of what should happen after euphoria MUST happen. A recession.
