Well, this one is over and so is the Packer's season.  Tom Brady goes to his 10th superbowl, who scripted that?
2482  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Violation Apology on: January 24, 2021, 08:35:09 PM
As I said above, the reason I did this was because I wanted to protect my IRL identity.
That excuse may have worked at first, but the continuation of all your sockpuppeting seems to suggest there's more to the story.
The below definition of a "sockpuppet" from urban dictionary is very close to how I would describe "sockpuppeting:
A false identity adopted by trolls and other malcontents to support their own postings.
I have not used any alt account to support my own point of view, or my side in a dispute after the self escrow incident.

The urban dictionary's definition of sockpuppeting most likely doesn't account for the monetary value of Bitcointalk.org accounts.  So, like I said: there's more to the story.  To be blunt; my suspicion is that you were using this method to develop accounts, probably to sell at a later date.

Did you also use them to hide your identity?  Probably.  Do I believe that was the only reason?  No.  Sorry, just being honest.  That's not to say that my mind could not be changed, or that my disbelief would prevent me from forgiving* you.

*I have never been affected by your shenanigans, so I use the word "forgive" in a general sense.
2483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 24, 2021, 07:52:36 PM
I can't help myself but go with the teams i personally want to see in the SB and that's Green Bay and Buffalo.

That's the superbowl I would prefer to watch as well, and that's my prediction.  I don't see Tampa getting the win today, and the Bills are under-rated in my opinion.
2484  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who give us Justice? on: January 24, 2021, 05:58:42 PM
This really is a sad state of affairs.  On one hand the established members of this forum have heard so many lame excuses about bounty cheating that they're unlikely to believe them ever again.  On the other hand those "excuses" could be factual and legitimate.

Take the address connections, for example:  With tx and gas fees as high as they've been for the last several months, I don't doubt that brothers, friends, neighbors would consolidate their token dust to save a bit on gas or withdrawal fees.  In fact I would recommend it, it's only the smart thing to do.  Gas fees these days could pay for a family meal in many parts of the world.  Someone mentioned that these accounts were using links to the same social media accounts, but I didn't see that.  Did I miss it?  If they are indeed telling the truth, then this implementation of "Mob Justice" is just as damaging to the forum as any bounty spammer.  If not more.

But how do we know whether they are being honest?  One of these accounts suggested sharing their national ID cards, but would that satisfy the critics?  I wouldn't believe any ID posted on this forum is legit, but maybe he was being honest and was actually willing to dox himself.  Is that where we want to go?  If I was accused of cheating a campaign with an alt and someone suggested I share my dox to prove my innocence, I'd tell you all to take a flying fuck!

As for the bounty campaigns, they exist.  The forum admin have refused to ban the practice, and it looks like it's here to stay.  Good, bad, or indifferent, many members join the forum only because of these campaigns, and as such there's a place for them here, even if many of us tire of the spam and bounty reports.  I didn't come here anticipating to earn rewards for my participation, but yet here I am registered in well-paying signature campaign.  Wouldn't it be hypocritical of my to deny the same opportunity to others because of my perception of the facts?

Having said all that, in situations like this I would prefer to apply my vision of true justice:  Immutable facts, and unquestionable evidence.  I don't see that presented in this case.  So, innocent until proven until proven, beyond a reasonable doubt, to be guilty.  I understand that's a hard-line stance, and justice on an internet forum isn't the same thing as justice in real life.  But if justice is what we strive for then it deserves a hard-line stance.
2485  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Pardons on: January 24, 2021, 04:29:38 PM
Ulbricht, Assange, Snowden - no.

I wanted him to pardon all three, but I was honestly surprised that he didn't pardon Assange.  The way Trump berated the "fake news" media and the DC "swamp" for the last 4 years I suspected he would issue that pardon for no other reason than to slap them in the face with it.  Not to mention that I believe Assange is one of the few honest, unflinching journalists around who is a victim of the powerful elites he exposed.

As for Ulbricht, I'm not convinced that he didn't try to hire an assassin.  The evidence seems to suggest that he tried and got scammed into believing he was successful.  That doesn't make things any better, but at the same time, I think the sentence was on the harsh side given the evidence used to convict him.

Snowden was another that didn't surprise me.  Although I despise what he did, I despise what our government was doing more.  For that I wished for his pardon.  Compare his case to that Chelsea Manning, and it seems like "justice" is just a word used by politicians to bolster their own political ambitions.

The other one I wanted him to consider was McAfee, but no one even mentioned him.  Not surprising, the establishment sees tax evasion as by far the most heinous of all crimes.
2486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 20, 2021, 08:26:39 PM
Looks like this year's Super Bowl will be disputed between the NFC's Old Man Quarterback and the AFC's Young Whippersnapper Quarterback.  Kind of a funny thing I noticed while reviewing the games from this past weekend, the average age of the quarterbacks from the two conferences; the AFC favors the younger generation, while the AFC favors experienced journeymen.

I also notice that as the post season winds down the average age of AFC QBs has gone down, while in the NFC the average age has gone up.

2487  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 20, 2021, 06:06:08 PM
Howdy Steve,
Can I get some clarification on the following, please:

Bet builder lists "Interception" among the things that can happen in an American Football game, but I'm not sure if that means offensive interception thrown or a defensive interception received.

Based on the other options (sack allowed, fumble lost,) I'm assuming it's an offensive interception thrown, but I just want to be sure.  Thanks.

I’m desperately hoping Fulham can get something from the game tonight, even a draw would be great (it’d be good for me as a Liverpool fan hehe).
In reality though Man Utd are getting results this season, surely they’ll pick up a win.

Elsewhere I see no issues for Man City in beating Aston Villa.

ManU looks pretty good for this one, I don't see an upset happening.

It's also nice to see Arsenal on a hot streak.  I'm looking forward to the "Sportsbet.io Cup" this weekend; Gunners at St. Mary's for the FA cup, and then the Saints at Highbury on Tuesday.  Either way the home team wins!

ETA: realized both matches are at St. Mary's.  Grin
2488  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 20, 2021, 03:38:48 PM
The number of scammed people also increased significant.

If you're going to make allegations like that against a company doing business here, have the courtesy of providing proof.  Otherwise you risk being labeled an anti-gambling zealot, without merit to your claims, and you'll be summarily ignored.  A lot like Game-Protect.

The only good things for this company is that they have so much power in the forum with connected DT accounts, that nobody will give them a yellow or red card.

My reputation is worth far more to me than the wages I earn from Sportsbet.io.  That's probably why I am employed by Sportsbet.io.  As far as I can tell all the participants of Sportsbet's signature campaign are people of integrity who also value their reputation.  If there was any truth to all the allegations against Sportsbet.io, the participants of their signature campaign would not have the ability to exonerate them, even if they tried.

Having a lot of DT members in their signature campaign didn't save LiveCoin when their shady business practices were exposed.  Other companies would not fair any better around here if they scammed their clients.

ETA:
I believe sportsbet.io and bitcasino are among the most legitimate companies doing business on the forum.  It's been pretty obvious that they are trusted not only by the community and DT members, but moderators and staff as well.  And not yet mentioned; Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Southampton.  An organization like Sportsbet itself has a tremendous reputation, one not worth risking on petty scams.
2489  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Violation Apology on: January 19, 2021, 05:11:48 PM
Reprehensible.

Pathetic.

I must laugh at the Internet wannabe Sherlock Holmes types who find conspiratorial connections everywhere

Please elaborate on the "conspiratorial connections" alluded to in my post.  Are you implying that I'm implying you are Lauda?  Don't flatter yourself, I know you aren't that clever.

fail to notice that, among other things, Lauda took her final avatar and personal text from things that I made for her.  So much for your pathetic attempt to distance me from her legacy.

You made an avatar for her?  ROFLMAO, okay fine, have it your way.  I hereby declare that Lauda and nullius are forever intertwined.  He made her an avatar, ffs!  Cheesy Cheesy
2490  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Consolidate multiple output points into one on: January 18, 2021, 03:18:01 AM
If all the unspent outputs (UTXOs) were sent to one address you can go the "addresses" tab, select that address, right-click and select "spend from."  You can then send the max available from that address.  If the UTXOs are collected in multiple addresses you can hold the CTRL button down and select multiple address to do the same thing.

If you want more control over the specific UTXOs, you can do like nc50lc suggested on the "coins" tab.
2491  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Violation Apology on: January 18, 2021, 03:06:14 AM
To uphold the honour of Lauda’s legacy...

Lol, so chivalrous of you to appoint yourself the custodian of "Lauda's Legacy," and take it upon yourself to determine how it is to be honored.  Good job, you lifeless cunt.  Maybe consider spending that kind of energy finding a female with a pulse rather wasting it on fake internet "pussies?"

I was answering your question specifically how I would feel about the situation. I also understand that others feel differently.

Maybe granting loans is different than trading physical items, which is what I was doing, and there would be less of a legitimate reason to hold collateral for a loan with a hidden alt. The transactions I acted as escrow for myself were transactions in which I had to disclose my IRL identity, or risk being forced to refund my buyer if something went wrong. One of the transactions involved me shipping something internationally, and I had to disclose my IRL identity on the customs form which is attached to the package. The other transaction involved me selling someone bitcoin via Western Union (it might have been a similar service), and if I didn't put my real name on the sending form (the information of which is available to the seller I believe), I would be unable to get a refund from Western Union if for some reason the buyer could not pick up the money.

Self escrow for physical items doesn't seem any different to me, and certainly just as deceptive.  The other party was expecting a neutral, third party to be involved incase there was a dispute that need mediation.  You deceived them into a false sense of security.

As I said above, the reason I did this was because I wanted to protect my IRL identity.

That excuse may have worked at first, but the continuation of all your sockpuppeting seems to suggest there's more to the story.

I really wanted to see the Browns make it to the big game this year just because their fans deserve it.

Me too, I would have liked to see them go all the way.  They played hard today, no shame in that loss.

Brady vs Brees 1:1 so far (one TD against one interception that is LOL).

Edit: another turnover. It's going to be hard for Saints to win if they keep gifting Brady these touchdowns.

Four turnovers as of my writing this, it's not looking good for the Saints with two minutes left.  Looks like Brady has to win at Lambo in January if he want's another ticket to the superbowl.
2493  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Wallet file on: January 14, 2021, 11:24:25 PM
WTF is going on here, really?  This isn't the only newbie account to show up in recent days to dump this "Can't open my wallet file" and then disappear.  The .rar is a dead giveaway.  Wallet.dat files aren't so large that people would need to compress them to back them, and then to use WinRAR is counter intuitive.  Who's going to use non-open source compression to archive their bitcoin?

If any of these questions are from legitimate people, then they've either been scammed into buying a worthless wallet.dat file, or they've fallen victim to malware.

They dump this shitpost and we all run in trying to help this newbie and that newbie in an attempt to retrieve nothing.  The only response this thread and any like it should get is "Don't download wallet.dat files form the internet!  Nobody is giving away free money, you dumbass!"

Yes, I'm grumpy because I ran out of Copenhagen, and I've been too busy to run to the store.   Angry

Did anyone watch all six games?

Not on my ass, but the TV was on all day, both days.  The only game I sat down to watch was last night's Browns @ Steelers.

I agree the NFL is desperately trying to cash in any way they can.  I get the feeling that most of their big advertisers are seeing the same thing the fans are; too many commercials and no where near enough football.

And for all those football junkies out there, don't forget that there is the College final today Smiley The over/under is at a whopping 75 Shocked Grin
College kids... zero defense. I got Ohio State ML.

I placed a small bet on Ohio State ML with 3.45 odds as well.  The way they handled Clemson was quite impressive, and the way that college teams are ranked for the championships is a joke.  I regret not betting on their game with Clemson because I suspected they were underrated.

nullius has got to be the alt of ____

Sockpuppeting douchnozzle attention whores?  Once your cunt scent has been sprayed across the forum it's easy to sniff you out.  Now please go away!  Even though you take the cake for being an insufferable cunt, your not that entertaining.

2496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 11, 2021, 01:45:48 AM
They're crushing it so far.

Kareem Hunt!  Wow, nice run there, carrying three guys into the endzone.  No coach?  No problem, eleven minutes into the first quarter and they're up 21 to zilch!
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 11, 2021, 01:07:22 AM
Ravens putting pressure on the Titans. Looking like this one might come down to the last drive of the game. With less than 5 minutes to go and a 7 point lead, this is shaping up to be a good candidate for overtime. Great wildcard game!

I was rooting for the titans that last drive, if they would have scored, then the Ravens would have been forced to counter, and I would have won my bet.

Thanks, Marcus Peters!  Angry

No offense to Browns fans, if there are any.

Lol, there must still be some holdouts out there.  I'll win my three-game parlay for today if Browns cover +10.5, so I'm rooting for them but I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm a "fan."

WTF!?!?  Lol, that's a shitty way to start a playoff game for center.  Go Browns!
2498  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 11, 2021, 12:46:56 AM
I completely misunderstood you. I thought that you were trying to say that it was possible to open a channel with incoming liquidity without any extra steps.

That makes sense now, sorry for the confusion.
2499  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 11, 2021, 12:10:02 AM
I just did this a few minutes ago in Testnet:

I already had an open channel, I just checked the details, and incoming capacity is zero:

Back on the channels tab, I clicked the "Swap" button in the upper right:

In the swap dialog I clicked on the "Max" button:

I watched as the transaction populated my history (just for the fees,) then checked my channel again.  Incoming capacity is at max:

2500  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: submarine swap to get incoming liquiity - c-lightning on: January 10, 2021, 11:47:47 PM
If you were to create a channel in Electrum with incoming capacity, you can create an invoice for your node channel.
How would you create such a channel?

*open.  Grin

The advantage is you're doing it all yourself without having to trust any other service.
A proper submarine swap should make use of HTLCs to perform itself trustlessly. Redshift and ZigZag seem to use them properly. Electrum uses boltz-backend which is developed and also used by Boltz

Yes, of course.  My point was that the Boltz backend has implanted HTLCs properly and it's use is trustless.  It seems like better alternative than searching the internet for some random site that does reverse submarine swaps, or claims to.  And would be an acceptable workaround for the OP.
