Hello gentlemen. How closely will this coin track Monero features. For instance, will ring CT be coming to Aeon?

I'm curious to know what Aminorex makes of this. He was there at the meeting. I wonder what the reaction was?
Go back a few pages. He hasn't posted since before "the incident".

It's a pure POS coin, so there won't be any mining, AFAIK.

If he made money off of the community, he's crooked. If he didn't, he's stupid. It's bad either way.

It depends on incentives. When women can leave and take half your shit for no better reason than they feel like it, then some women are going to do that. As it turns out, a lot of them.
Women like getting married, but they don't like BEING married. Who knew.
+1, have an upvote for what every married man will eventually find out the hard way. Usually when their marriage reaches the 7-year mark, or when their children reach 7-10 yrs of age. Whichever comes first. Until then it's all blissful ignorance and denial, lol. Most men don't know how to run their shit. Men put women up on pedestals and cede their power to them. It is not natural for a woman to handle that kind of power, and to lead in a relationship. She'll end up becoming unhappy and bitter, and eventually go fuck an alpha male who does know how to run his shit. It's easy to blame women for the state of marriage. It's a lot harder to be a real man and take responsibility for the marriage.

I've had my coins for a long time, and gave it a few hours of thought tonight...I'm out. It would take a full rebranding, deletion of fluffy, coin name change and a lot of time for me to even consider supporting or using XMR. Maybe I'll be back then, but we were already behind the times with the GUI wallet, branding, site, etc. Bytecoin is better than this now in my mind, and in retrospect the distribution of Monero was bullshit. If you think about it, it was announced on this site and yea at the time that seems like a large announcement...in the reality of things and the world it is not. You can't say that then turn around and say Bytecoin has poor distribution when its been 10 satoshi and steadily minable for literally years. Time has changed the circumstances in many ways. Many others would prefer DASH to Monero, I'm sure. I know I'm very keen on ZEC and upcoming ETH(ZEC) as the more professional anonymous solution.
Bytecoin is better? Do your homework. Bytecoin was proven to be a fraud and scam with their faked time stamps and faked blockchain from "2012". "Steadily mineable"? Once again do your research those "years" of mining was faked/spoofed into fooling people like yourself into thinking that bytecoin had a legitimate launch and distribution. ZEC is more professional? Like how they release a BS hit piece on monero hours before the April hard fork? Then claim innocence of not knowing there was a hard fork despite it being public knowledge for weeks. Not to mention that they have a 20% dev tax and are now officially backed by one of the shadiest banking actors in modern history? Even scammers can be professional. I wouldn't say that is a quality I look for at the top of my list to legitimize a coin/person/business/etc. Everyone in this space needs to take some damn responsibility of their own financial decisions including success and failures. Relying on someone's post to make you profit is very irresponsible. Had you made profit and the market gone up instead I suspect you would not be as disgruntled as you are now. Check out what is used on darknet markets, then you get an idea of useful coins monero bitcoin why? FTFY

That seems to line up with MasterLuc's chart from October.

Monero is dead now. No one trust xmr anymore
Was grade 3 the longest 10 years of your life? Idiot. You are idiot here, sir. Go trust a coin where founder short 250BTC few minutes before announcements some big news He knew monero was looking good now and for sure he was in need to pay soem debts hahaha He didn't short shit. He has no reason to. Yes - he clearly had no reason to make a lot of money in a very short time.

Sold my stash after almost 3 years. There is no upside potential left here.
Bye Monero. What a mess.
Same. I was a hodler since summer of '14 and dumped everything today.
|
|
|
FLUFFY told everyone so many times "NOT TO BUY MONERO" if you trusted him so much why didn't you guys listen then!!
He's also said on many occasions that Monero is not about him, yet consistently goes out of his way to make it all about him. I don't think anyone trusts him much anymore, and that's part of the point.

|
|
On twitter, people have been remarking that there were huge short positions opened just before "the announcement".

Like we need a lecture from him on the merits of FOSS. At what point did he decide we need to be patronized to this extent? He really needs to get over his troll thing.
If Monero is to become a global currency - one that's actually useful to people - FP needs to grow the fuck up.
Couldn't agree more. Whether he likes it or not, he's the public face of Monero, and a stunt like this really hurts Monero's reputation.

He was basically trolling everyone. This is a bit of a PR disaster. Price will be hurt short term. Back to 0.014?

This summer will be my third anniversary of hodling. This is gentlemen.
I may sell just enough for hookers and blow.

Waiting for news tomorrow I guess, but if Monero gets added to Coinbase we could easily see $100 in the next few months maybe?
We could see $100 in a few days. Anything is possible in this crazy market right now. Didn't XRP go up 2000% in a week or two? 100% from here on big news is very possible. Although not sure if XMR is ready to be a $1 billion coin yet. But $750 million market cap, similar to DASH seems rational. This. A piece of good news in this climate could result in craziness.

MtGOX owes (from bankruptcy proceedings) 45,609,593,503 JPY =~ 414,226,328 USD
There were 202185 BTC found.
202185 @ $2139 = $432473715
MtGox can technically cover its debts
And jackass would still be able to pocket the ~$18M difference.

In retrospect, people will look at $2,000 bitcoins as dirt cheap too.
|
|
|
We're having a pullback now, but it seems to be on decreasing volume.
