2541  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: FREE electrical power available - but no knowledge of bitcoins on: January 23, 2015, 07:15:23 PM
no no, don't listen to ANYONE. Buy S1s they are CHEAP! you can get 2 TH/S for 0.9 BTC. go for that !

If power is free, THIS IS THE BEST IDEA.

Kijiji is the way to go for this.
2542  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Rbox on: January 23, 2015, 07:00:15 PM
I don't mind the nosie but on the same page I LOVE sleeping with that sound soo... you can't really take my opinion. I find the S3 louder but again that doesn't mean any thing lol.

OOH I would 100% be a buyer of a R-Box 3.  No big order probabbly two if they are 100ghs and sub 80 watt power draw.
Buy my 2 New RBoxes for cheap?

I already have 1 of those..  I live in Canada the shipping might be a lot.

I wouldn't buy without an escrow.. :S.. and that just gets complicated.  I also don't really need anymore mining gear, the Rbox purchase was so I can shut down my S1 and continue to secure the alt coin I like.

I meant if they made another R-box with newer chips I'd buy a couple of those.

Eyeboot has a great youtube video on how to se them up.

You can connect two units to one powersupply if it can handle the current.

Voltage * current = Power

12Volts * current = 130 Watts.

I get 130 watts as the unit is rated for 1gh/w and it maxes out around 130Ghash so we want to use the max power draw to figure out what power supply you want.

Current = 130/12

Current = 10.8 Amps

Thus you want to look at the power supply and it will show on the side how much current the 12Vdc "rail" can handle it must be greater than 11 amps.

DO NOT ASSUME BECAUSE THE POWERSUPPLY IS RATED FOR 250 WATTS THAT IT CAN SUPPORT BOTH UNITS.

Holy you sure have a hard on for this.

Even if he is doing exactly what you are saying it is no where close to the low on the scum bag chart....

Someone running a fractional exchange is the #1 scum bag or someone running poker sites that are rigged so you get a full house and thier bot gets 4 of a kind.

This was one of the ignorance is bliss things, if these acusations never came to light the customers would of continued to be happy.  Now in a fractional exchange or a ponzi scheme the customers lose money they were not spending on fancy things.

Futhermore all of the calculations you are using for the "legit" price of these pecies are so off.. not including a heavy mark up for the cost of the laser machine... ?!?!?!   Not a soul on the planet will work or sell something even remotely close to cost.

TBH I don't care if he is scamming people like you say it just bothers me you are on about how this is the worst thing someone could ever do to another person.. it's not even close.

I'll stop ranting now lol.

Does it bother you that scientists do research on things you don't care about, too? Or that the cops are still out catching speeders when there are unsolved murders?

Good point.

I've got two new r boxes tgat have never hashed(I have no psu), that I'd sell cheap. Bought them not realizing psu was not included.

Or if someone has a psu that will work and they can help me hook up that works too.  I'm computer dumb .

Use kijiji man!! These do not require much power..  Buy a couple cheap PSUs for $10 each.

Just look into the 12Vdc current rating each line will need 10Amps or more.

Shit even most computer stores have old school power supplies for cheap.
2548  Economy / Economics / Re: Who control our bitcoins? WE do!! ☆ BANK RUN ☆ on: January 23, 2015, 02:57:51 PM
Only a fool would have more than 10% of they're crypto on an exchange.  You should assume at any moment you'll lose all of it.

So in your words, whales are fools for having millions worth of value on exchanges...

But you don't mind if they pump Bitcoin 20% higher, right?

Figure out how they achieve that without having much funds on exchanges.

Just because they have milions on the exchange does not mean it is their entire btc holdings.

Perhaps I should rephrase though, if you have over 10% of your wealth on an exchange you are a moron.
2549  Bitcoin / Hardware / New Rbox on: January 23, 2015, 02:35:25 PM
Bought it about a week and a bit ago just arrived yesterday Cheesy.

GREAT miner for the hobby miner!!

It's been mining for about 14 hours now.  Bought it just as a toy really I already have 2 S3's and 1 S1.  The plan is for it to replace my S1 for alt coin minig as I want to keep the coin I like secure.. or attempt to keep it secure.  Which I believe should be the main purpose of a miner.

Anyways anyone else have the New rbox?

Would you buy the New "New rbox" if they made one?

2551  Economy / Economics / Re: How can I make my BTC work instead of HODLing them? on: January 23, 2015, 02:24:23 PM
You can't say 10BTC is a small amount, you can start open business if you want to.
But, if you just want to invest your bitcoin, i think these option is great for you :
1. Invest at gambling site
2. Lend your bitcoin & get profit from interest rate
3. Gambling

$2000-3000 usd is not a large amount.. to many people it is quite a small amount.

#1 and #2 are a good idea.

Do not do #3.
2552  Economy / Economics / Re: How can I make my BTC work instead of HODLing them? on: January 23, 2015, 02:23:24 PM
Hi!
I have a small amount of BTC (like 10BTC) in cold storage. What would you suggest me to do to make some profit out of it? I used to HODL them, but now I want them to grow (even if its few satoshis a day... still better then nothing lol)
I'm not talking about HYIP or trading BTC/USD/other - because I don't understand how they work and I would easily loose money there.

Your best bet are casinos. You know that they have an edge so you could easily profit form that in a long run.

No.. NO.. DAMN NO..

Use BTCJAM and lend people BTC to grow your bitcoin wealth.

$152 is the new $275 (and we know how that ended)

This is exactly what I think
2555  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will be botton of btc ? on: January 20, 2015, 04:02:10 PM
above 100 below 200, double digit isn't the bottom , stop thinking about it
I think the same <100 its not easy beacouse thousand of people buy btc at this prize

Alas thousands is not enough.
2556  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Am I doing it wrong? on: January 20, 2015, 03:55:24 PM
LOL, that hardware costed me over 40$. Anyway, which is the best way to mine? Which hardware?

Ouch you got suckered Sad.

Buy an S3 off of kijiji.  Bitmain S3.

Or if that is too expensive check out rockminer.com and buy the new R-box.  I suggest this.

If you have a bunch of cash check out spoodlies(that is not how you spell it but ya lol).

Only 3 companies I would buy from.

For small time mining, try the New U3 from bitmain or the New R-box from rockminer.  Both can be found on amazon.  R-box you can buy just 1 from their site.
2557  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Warning: WoodCollector on: January 20, 2015, 03:18:21 PM
If he carves out everything and uses a machine for the fine details is it not hand made then?
Hand-made, partially. Hand-carved, no.

If a machine cuts out the rough shape and he does the rest is it not hand made then?
Hand-made, partially. Hand-carved, yes.
It's that easy, you do the carving part by hand, it's hand-carved. Duh! Roll Eyes

Alright lets say it's hand made and mostly carved + machine for the fine details.  He has always delivered and great product now we are going to attack his reputation because he is exaggerating..  Sounds kind of like a bored soccer mom looking for someone to harass... :S

Technically he is not lying.. he did carve some by hand.  Some of it was made by hand thus it was hand made..
2558  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Warning: WoodCollector on: January 20, 2015, 03:12:06 PM
When I make my chainmaille jewellery is it not hand made because I didn't mine, smelt and coil the metal myself....
Nobody expects him to go out into the woods and cut down trees.
But hand-carved is definitely not the same as "I used my hands to fire up the laser".

Do you expect me to coil the metal by hand?  Is it no longer hand made because I used a drill to coil the metal?

What if I use a machine to open half the rings and close the other half is it not hand made now?
2559  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Warning: WoodCollector on: January 20, 2015, 03:10:30 PM
I will be taking bets , who says that he will upload the video and who say's he wont.

Nah for serious I'm looking foward to see if this is really hand made something I doubt.

What is "hand made".  If he carves out everything and uses a machine for the fine details is it not hand made then?  If a machine cuts out the rough shape and he does the rest is it not hand made then?

<stuff about trust>

Michael Adair's trust

Maybe you're not in the position to be suggesting who is in Default Trust and who isn't?

Just making a comment, didn't say I was going to do anything about it. Plus, if you saw a video of WoodCollector making his work would you be suaded?

I don't think he will produce a video of himself hand-carving a piece. If he does produce a video, I believe it will be a video of him fussing with his tools in order to give the appearance of hand-carving without actually doing so.

Unfortunately, WC has declined to produce a video for anyone but his clients, so I guess you have to pay a thousand dollars to find out for certain how they're made.

Promise to buy his work if he makes a video.

Wood collecter has always delivered his product.
