nice update!
i'm sure that SC will be grow slowly and reach the 1000 sats this year  Wink

I gather from obelisk-tech the Siacoin Miner Sc-1 is still at the June 1st, 2018 ship date?

Just wondering when the 'doorstops' will arrive..if lucky I MAY get 40% back on them, which means even in USD anyway,

with my tax breaks and equip deduction of 25% off taxes in the states ...(over electric that is) ..so anyway...curious if that has

been moved back or moved forward..the 'deafening silence' is hurting my ears!

brad

Rather than June 1st, what was originally stated is that they would be delivered during June as the latest month, what means June 30th the latest day. Let's be more precise: months have 30 days, and when deadlines are stated as a month, that means the last day of the month, not the first one. This confusion is the same that made a lot of people FUDing about Halong Miners, as some considered they should have been delivered by March 1st while what they promised was March (and actually they were delivered by the end of March, as promised)

There has not been any update yet about the final shipping dates, but they have recently shared a picture of the final miner case: https://www.reddit.com/r/siacoin/comments/8eo1x5/first_look_at_obelisk_unit/?st=jgpfa832&sh=c7130fbf and a picture of the chips: https://twitter.com/ObeliskTechHQ They are currently benchmarking them and stated they would share an update later this week

yeah, I remember the original timeline was JULY 2018...but I also heard (most likely FUD) that it was to ship maybe in JUNE 2018 (or a hope of such)

with the 'deafening silence' I am assuming you are correct and these sc-1 siacoin miners won't ship at best till the end of July 2018

so I likely was in error on this 'supposed' 'hope for' June 2018 shipping date

(probably don't matter ...'doorstops' anyway...just saying) Sad

2582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Launches the New Antminer B3 Miner on: May 03, 2018, 01:01:24 AM
Unless you just heard about Bitmain last week and/or this is your first miner, don't complain. A miner that has absolutely no ROI estimates is obviously a gamble and if you buy it, your are gambling. Even it Bitmain gives batch 3 away tomorrow, no one put a gun a to your head to make you buy the first batch.

Yes, Bitmain's interest is to make money (not for you BTW), but cast the first rock he who's not here for money.

Bitmain is more than welcome to do what they want - but they just lost a bunch of customers who will not buy early products now. So, bad business is like karma. It always comes back to bite you in the ass.

Actually it never does, not for Bitmain anyway. They've done this many times and still every time they release a new batch they have more suckers lining up than an Apple store.

Do you actually know this or you just speculating? Unless you have access to their sales data then....

Go back in the thread a bit...for L3+ scrypt pow miners...it is rinse/wash/repeat...yeah they do these games a lot!

bet in a couple weeks the price of these are down to $855 or so...(bitmain, it is how they roll) Smiley

Mine is UPS and Shipped today. UPS tracking number shows Delivery on 05/04/2018.
Anyone knows which pool to mine??
Thanks in Advance

I may be wrong...but I think? you can only mine it on antpool (bitmain's pool)

others?

Batch 2 shipping without even a day in between the first batch. I know Bitmain are scum, and that the B3 was a gamble, but this is just a slap in the face.  I don’t think the first person who receives theit B3 will even be able to make the cost difference in that time, especially with Bitmain already mining with thousands of their own B3s.

They can do this because they have had the existing B3 line up for a year...as the A.I. miners for research..they just re-purposed this line of miners with a new asic coin

again, evil genius, but there is NO time between batches ...because they have already ROI'd on the production costs etc...probably with economy of scale from units

already out the door they are likely approaching ONLY having to pay parts and production costs....the design and all the rest are already in the bank and ROI'd as it were...

again, with the 2nd batch the likely scenario is that 3rd batch will be going for $885 ...it's how bitmain rolls...at least they are still at a limit of ONE...on the other hand

even if they have 2,500 batches and limit of ONE only...I wonder how that effects a NEW ALGO coin...with 5,000 of them hitting in say 3 weeks? May still be too many...

I did not get one....just to be clear....just watching the 'evil bitmain' show from the bleachers and popcorn....bitmain is nothing if not predictable! Smiley

(Evil ..is how we roll, and people STILL don't get it!) (tm bitman)

Just an aside from my previous post on this thread of me never getting windows 10 and Lisk Nano to work with LISK for xfer etc..

I DID get the new LISK HUB download for windows 10, to work, however (whew!) ..so just deleted Lisk nano...in that it never worked for unknown reasons

anyway, just in case someone else had the same trouble with lisk nano on windows 10 back in the day ...and have not used the lisk hub yet

again, lisk hub for Windows 10 worked just fine.....just to clarify my previous posts on lisk nano not working further up in the thread

brad

So was it all your local problem after all or you are not sure? Does anyone have/had same problem with liskhub or nano and windows 10?

Yeah, it was just local with lisk nano for me...was tossing it out here in case others had this problem to tell them that the windows 10 version of lisk hub

worked just fine....probably overkill...but seems it was only me...wakes a person up when Lisk nano says 0 funds...then when I got on lisk hub a month ago

on the web version ..all was fine....anyway, the NEW lisk hub download for windows seems to have solved my problem ..(if just my problem I may have

been just talking to myself) anyway, why I tossed the info up before I tried lisk hub windows version (I just needed my hand held I guess) Smiley

2587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: April 30, 2018, 07:49:17 PM
if the total supply of LTC increases that would really hurt us hodlers right now. why is that even an option?

see my previous post in the last thread on here.....mining scrypt-pow and LTC is overcapacity now...if they did this

it would really, really, puke and lock up IMHO...so unless POS coin is planned as an option someday..this makes no sense

thus confused

china + global=2500 UNITS?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Bitmain controls this coin...they CAN'T BLOW IT UP ...thus the 2,500 only units.....I would suspect the next batch would also be 2,500 units..

If/when, Bitmain feels it is prudent and the coin has some legs.....(shoes on the other foot...just can't toss them out as toasters) Smiley

2590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain Antminer X3 -- 220KH+ Cryponight - 550W on: April 30, 2018, 06:37:08 AM
Just got the doorstop myself, I mean the X3. Any good guide or video for setting up to mine ETN? before the fork?

tia

Can you even mine these on anything that pays for electric for the beast? From what I can tell coins for such are getting slimmer...

Your answer is in my question.

ok...doorstop....was thinking maybe there was SOMETHING you could mine.that would maybe pump..guess they all musta forked...

i feel your pain...had 2 d3's ...did not roi on ...but also had a may baikal 300mh cube...between them all I broke even on x11 coins and ROI'd

but that is just 'ego protection' on my part....
2591  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens when there is NO electricity? How does one trade with BTC? on: April 29, 2018, 11:02:57 PM

Well, if we have NO electricity we will have much bigger problems than BTC Transaction issues!

looks like ltc is going up again next week

{i just posted this because now the thread will pop up in my posts so can keep better tabs on it  Cheesy }

With litecoin pow-scrypt difficulty as it is, and rising, it is going to have to do much better than $152 per LTC.

Right now my fees for elec/rent/etc comes out to for ONE L3+ at 500mh and 800w a whopping $1.95 per day,

this is NOT sustainable with the amount of hash hitting the world by Bitmain and others...we will see...this could get very ugly...

$1.95 per L3+ pers day! Living the Dream!

i m not a miner but i can imagine you are not selling anything you mine atm waiting on better prices

Electric/data hall rent etc, etc..... Bill is currently for 8100mh exactly $1,270.08...per month...profit per month at 154 LTC is $952.80

As I said, with scrypt-pow equipment hitting from Bitmain and what people are 'guessing' of a 1.5gh 400w miner Bitmain will offer in the Fall but

run itself all summer (they did this from Nov 15th till Mar 15th....took order but did not deliver till March..mined themselves and difficulty went up 100%)

Just saying...price vs above games/equipment dump and such....it is not sustainable

as to the electric question you have to sell LTC month to month to pay the nice electric/data hall fees

not looking very good at the moment for scrypt-pow and LTC ....consequences if mining vs profit gets too out of whack

Also my stuff is All R.O.I.'d but 6 units I got on a hedge with 'dubious alts' in case price of BTC (effecting alt prices) dumped again from 8k to 6.6k..

again, dubious alts so it was kinda a wash...guys not in my boat that got all in this last march/spring...they got to be going crazy right now

Is there a specific reason for them not to sell outside China?

Here's more information about the Antminer B3: https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/bitmain-antminer-b3-asic-miner-for-bytom-btm/

Seems like a bunch of wishful thinking and whooie...if you ask me....but I did not get one..so likely it will do just fine (how my life works in the world of asic choices)

2597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: April 29, 2018, 07:25:56 PM
So what would be the best way to access lisk coins? Is it lisk nano, lisk hub? some third way?
The best is still the Lisk Nano Why its more stable to use and better security thab the others.

Well, I'm cleaning up my laptop with virius check and malware and the works....and will try the new windows version of LISK HUB on my windows 10 machine....

Last month, I moved some LISK and the LISK NANO did not work, but I did move LISK just fine with the LISK HUB site...

so I'm gonna freak if this downloaded LISK HUB does not work as a desktop wallet as well

I'll let you know, again that was last month, same keys were used etc...so I'm crossing fingers...

2598  Economy / Speculation / Re: $50,000 Bitcoin In The Next Couple Of Months? on: April 29, 2018, 12:58:04 AM

Nope...the mt. gox trustee will be liquidating like crazy, IMHO, after BTC gets over 10k in value...thus keeping the price down. If we can keep sideways at 10k I'd be

satisfied with all the FUD and the mt gox games that are gonna come down the pike until years end...

The powers that be with $$ and capital and such..that have much to lose with BTC uncentralized wealth will use the mt. gox liquidation to further justify their

view of prices...it is all about adoption...and I feel there is still a Lot of room for these clowns and the mt. gox trustee to muddy the waters about BTC to

newbies and the public at large for a bit yet...now, If the mt. gox trustee had decent advice and not just dump the stuff on an exchange..that could take some

wind out of the FUD'ster's sails...but to be blunt, I think the mt. gox trustee and the lawyers involved liquidating, really, really, don't believe in BTC and crypto at all,

and will panic dump like a 12-year-old child on the above FUD fest I propose above...and ugly cycle until mt. gox is at least liquidated down to 1/3 of its current value...

just too much opportunity for muddying the waters and panic selling...when you add the BCH and BTC feud...it looks even bleaker...

so nope, the mt. gox liquidation will be the catalyst for the massive campaign against crypto and FUD ..the more they promote such the more likely it

is that the mt. gox trustee panic sells....thus holding down crypto and BTC adoption...add the BCH and BTC war on top of this and again...I will be

more than pleased if we end up above 10k at years end...we need adoption and until the air clears on all this misconception and FUD with the public

it is not gonna happen quickly

We are neither rich, nor poor, yet.

HODL on.

Ah yes, that ambiguous grey zone between $1k per BTC and $1 million per BTC.

My concerns are now put to rest...that pretty much nails it!
