2021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Litecoin on: September 30, 2018, 05:02:29 PM
For me, I believe litecoin is a very good coin to invest in ans even hold because it has very good potentials, good tech ans a good team members. It might be low now but in future, it will be among the most valuable coins in cryptocurrency.

Yes, I fully agree with your opinion, this is a very promising coin and in the far litecoin will be a reliable investment.

The catch is the 'scam coin' IMHO, Bitcoin Cash is shooting for the same slot as Litecoin: ie 'silver to

bitcoin's gold' slot. That to me is why LTC has been more than 'subdued in price' lately.

Not a big BCH fan, just saying, that seems to be what is being jokey'd over and I think it reflects

the low price of LTC IMHO. (sucks)

So current price is being reflected by the Elite Pay and cartel war on payouts? etc, etc.

Lots of drama, wondering if that is why price is down, folk not in HODL mode as much and dumping?

DHL indicates Monday delivery for me too - east coast USA.

you guys getting slam'd on the tariffs in the USA on these yet? (I'd ask whoever ships for hidden bills later).

Also the increase in import fees to boot, I think also? (not sure, but you will be the first to know I guess, s

just asking)

thanks

2024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: September 29, 2018, 05:38:04 PM

Well, IMHO, IF they really did incorporate an ASIC hardware solution in their Siacoin Obelisk miners and the

Obelisk decred miners, I think they need to have that as an option in firmware for a new algo and coin

to take advantage of this. Ideally, that coin/token would be used to run the siacoin network and/or

allowing only Obelisk hardware to be the backbone from the get-go.

If not that, at least opening up this hardware to other algo options would be something.

Again, if that actually exists, as they state or it was just a 'false flag' attempt to slow Bitmain down

back in the day.

Likely, as much as the devs say the price of siacoin does not matter to their cloud storage project, the

probably are as heavily invested as everyone else. But again, IMHO, if they were ONLY a hardware

manufacturer, they would already have used that asic hardware option in firmware to try and develop

a different algo and encourage developers to use such on their coin

Anyway, decred miners are doomed, you'd think at least they would use such for the decred miner or at

least do what the innsilicon folk have done with their firmware to allow HCASH coin mining.

If nothing else, that seems to be a firmware fix the could do of note to make their obelisk decred

miner MAYBE float a bit longer, rather than sink. (not sure why I'm bothering got my 1 decred coming

for giving away my 5 1/2 off obelisk coupons back in the day...even that likely will not make over electric

use, by the time I get it..just saying) well, it looks dire....just my 2 satoshi's worth ..we will see I guess

2027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 27, 2018, 08:31:56 PM

I'm thinking this whole Bitmain IPO document is a complete fabrication.

Why? Because if they really did make that much net revenue in half a year's time, then they'd never have a need to take the company public.

Period.

when this was first floated...i think I heard 15 billion..that is a lot of mula. Now not so much. On the other hand, if they do the IPO now and btc dumps..they got lots

and lots of IPO $$$ as a hedge to cover their 'dubious' BCH investments this year Smiley But, if BTC pumps, they can ride this IPO back up to whatever the market will bear

win/win

2028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 27, 2018, 02:03:55 AM
Can’t stand the f****** Btrash pump , my lesson start in 45min, hope to see a big RED dive when i’m done .....

I have a 'timeline' right now to cash all my BCH out from my 'free money' drop on the fork after Jan 1st, 2019.

I would do it this year, but as I wrap up mining, still killing it (on paper), thus would be best to do it on next years

income (w/o mining) ..I retired 3 years early due to crypto. (then again jan 14th 2018 when I made the decision to do so

BTC was 2x plus more!) (timing: i have it, it usually just sucks)

anyway, by above post you can bet that bch will tank to ZERO on my into next year cash at least 1/2 out plan. (it's how I roll)

brad

you are such an ongoing negative nancy.

Where else could you have such fortune to be in more than 20x profits, at least if we consider that BTC was priced largely in the mid $200s for a decent majority of 2015?

BCH is NOT going to go to zero anytime soon; however, even if BCH does another 90% drop in price, that is merely a luck of the draw collateral risk - it is NOT your main investment, so letting it roll could be icing on the cake, or it might not, but either way, it seems to be a kind of icing on the cake - and even you seem to frame BCH (and your other alts) in that kind of way.

By the way, even though frequently, you seem to be nearly as scared as rosewater, at least you have largely moderated your investment in order to NOT apportion too much of it towards alts, and you have held through some of the more difficult times - and likely could have been tempting to sell except for your subliminal bullishness seems to be quite stronger than Rosewater's and therefore causing you to HODL rather than eating randomly found chocolate while stuck in the cupboard with little to no plan.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

well more than a bit of that was in jest....so I get where you are coming from....just saying, have a plan to dump the BCH for retirement reasons rathter than BTC next  year....i guess I need to be less tongue in cheek...(although.....my timing on selling does usually suck)

sorry you took it as such

but hey, solves my dipping into BTC hoard, vs the altcoin hoard (which may be depleted at these prices by march 2019) so hell its not much of a plan

but BCH dump is a better plan than BTC dump Smiley

so it goes....(will preface if I go off on a whimsy) Smiley

2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: September 27, 2018, 01:03:50 AM
Why isn't LiskHQ changing the amount delegates compulsorily have to pay to their voters to a fixed percentage? The problem right now is, that delegates/cartels are dictating the prices. If everyone would have to offer the same, there wouldn't be anymore cartels and delegates contributing the most will remain.

Trouble with cartels is they have the power, as soon as you'd get such a change thru ...the delegates would flood the market and tank it with lisk ..why keep lisk on hand in

massive amounts if i can't make bank on it as you say above....thus like in the economic crisis of the usa...and bankers .big lisk players have us by the balls..so imho, not a chance

in hell this system will change with the danger and the amount of LISK being held to be a delegate and get away with this...

ON the other hand, it forces these big boys to hodl lisk...which otherwise would not be the case...it musta hurt like hell to watch LISK drop from what 30 bucks to now 3.42 usd

so not exactly all in their favor risk wise

anyway, what do I know, I bought 2k of lisk at $8.42 I think it was and now it is $3.42....oops...as a source to count on ..me...not so much

2030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: September 27, 2018, 12:59:29 AM
Despite being criticized by many that the Silver coin LTC is depended completely by BTC‘s price movement, it is one of the few with high gains in the last 24-hours. Smiley

it has also dumped more than btc in the last year in value % wise

i have a theory that people blow the alts first in bad times and they are the last to come back..and probably ltc is better than most as a rebound

but usually, before LTC rebounds, LTC foundation shows it is doing something in the down times..now they seem content to ride btc coat tails

that  is dangerous, because i think a lot of ltc's loss in value and such is due to BCH taking part of its place as silver to btc's gold...god i hate saying that

but it seems obvious scam that bch is

thus, back to my question, where is the development action one usually sees when LTC drops more than 50% ..zip..nada...at least last time we had the

'illusion' of an ltc debit card....hell, i just read LTC foundation does not support or update the LTC qt wallet anymore

not impressed...and I go 410 LTC I've been sitting on for 2 years

hmmmm.....

as usual nothing of note on LTC development...used to be when the price tanked at least the LTC devs squeaked about something to get the price up!

(er, oops, last time they did anything of note that way it was the now 'defunct' and never to return supposed LTC debit card)

er maybe I should just let sleeping dogs lie with that as an example

That bitch is straight-up retarded.

EDIT: It's barely 10am CST and I'm already drunk. God I love retirement.

Take care of that liver of yours, otherwise you don't have enough time to enjoy the retirement Wink

Enjoy your youth. Not your old age. Old age is for too weak to go to the toilet and shitting your pants while waiting for nurse to clean you.

Yeah but with f*cked up liver and other organs your old age will come way sooner than you expect and your quality of life will decrease dramatically. You don't have to be a saint and be sober all the time but hey you need to know when to say stop. Just my 2 cents.  Grin

+1

I didn't say not to enjoy life Cheesy Just take care of your precious organs Smiley

2035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: September 25, 2018, 07:03:59 PM
Sia is a digital cloud storage space. It creates a decentralized online cloud storage for users, who can rent out their unused digital space for a certain fee, which is paid in the Siacoin cryptocurrency - the SC token.

As compared to other cloud storage services, Sia offers storage at a much cheaper rate.

Current, Siacoin price is $0.005 and Siacoin keeps on increasing in its price that can be viewed on the siacoin price chart.

So the cloud is working just dandy for siatech? they are making money? or is still just based on hype?

I'd like to see some notice on how the cloud storage is going and competing against Amazon cloud...I hear zip...

also, bitmain just released a decred miner for 637 usd at 7.8th and 1410 watts that is shipping THIS WEEK

so the angle of their decred miners are deader than dead

again, IMHO, the only way siatech can make money is 1) if they get the cloud vision up and working and an option to amazon cloud as decentralized

and anonymous, as they state

2) fork to a COMPLETELY new coin for the network..the siatech folk always said siacoin price did not matter because it is speculation

than that new coin MAY get some value back...again, if they make the cloud vision work

how the cloud vision will work  with 10-15x the siacon in the world even with a working cloud solution at this point of time and their obelisk fork

is beyond me, I just don't see it

brad

(doorstop status on obelisk sc1's (5 of them, I was soooooo silly) from the date I got the 1st one is at : Day 26 as doorstops and counting

HODL bro

Each time #Bitcoin has dropped by 70% or more, the following All Time High has been 5-17 times higher than the previous. If that was to repeat the next ATH would be between $100,000 and $340,00.

you are right searing, they have been mining on them for MONTHS

Any time Bitmain releases a miner the next week after an announcement of a supposed NEW product this is the case.

2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Obelisk tech to release Miner for Decred with the DCR1 on: September 24, 2018, 12:05:33 AM

Well, my free, for coupons on other 5 siacoin obelisk units of (1) decred miner likely also will not ROI and it was FREE!

Bitmain (IMHO) has been probably mining these decred miners for months, thus the fact they are available for shipping this week

at 7.8TH and 1410 watts ...well, by the time I get my 'supposed' free obelisk decred unit above, even that will likely not make

more than electric.

here is the bitmain spec link and price $673 USD without PSU and shipping and any 'tariffs' in the USA. You also it seems to have to

fill out a KYC application with a preference for PASSPORTS....or a delay on other forms of KYC, or so the site said.

https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=000201809211239039316aJFu5gm069B

I suspect again, these units have been mined for months previous to this, me and a buddy always wondered why bitmain was not

releasing a decred miner, well, better to run them at the depressed prices this spring/summer I'd guess.

Anyway, my 1.2th 500-watt decred miner and 14c kwh NOW if I had it would make 47c a day (no ROI issues it is was free for 5 obelisk

coupon swap for this (1) decred miner

One small catch, I don't think my batch 2 decred miners will be available for 4-6 weeks yet at best. The bitmain units ship this week.

Thus my view, they've been mining these units and thus they will hit the world in mass quantities of toaster variety lots.

So, even with a free unit, I'd be that I could not make money over electric at these decred prices with the mass of hash that is gonna

hit the decred world...would be nice to be wrong ..but I doubt it.

(according to what to mine site) https://whattomine.com/coins/152-dcr-blake-14r?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=1200&p=500&fee=0.0&cost=0.14&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

Day    0.000000    0.055556    0.000320    $2.15    $1.68    $0.47
Week    0.000000    0.388890    0.002240    $15.04    $11.76    $3.28
Month    0.000000    1.666673    0.009599    $64.45    $50.40    $14.05
Year    0.000000    20.277855    0.116793    $784.13    $613.20    $170.93

ugly, ugly, no hope for those who paid for these either

as to the $637 Bitmain unit with shipping and a PSU call it $775. On top of that, there may be 25% tariff to USA (unclear).

But say you got it, with PSU, for $775 complete. Says about a 90 day ROI, again if you had one in hand now at 14c kWh.

the hash from what to mine is below and a daily cost (because you can get it next week) of $9.32 per day...except for the fact

I think that Bitmain will dump so many like the D3 and B3 miners as to make it just possible you will ROI and then they are doorstops

we will see, but the prices are below if you had one now at 14c kWh (elec and data hall summer rates0 and 7.8TH and 1410 watts

Hour    0.000000    0.015044    0.000087    $0.59    $0.20    $0.39
Day    0.000000    0.361053    0.002094    $14.05    $4.74    $9.32
Week    0.000000    2.527373    0.014659    $98.37    $33.16    $65.21
Month    0.000000    10.831598    0.062823    $421.61    $142.13    $279.48
Year    0.000000    131.784437    0.764350    $5,129.55    $1,729.22    $3,400.33

Looks a LOT like the B3 fiasco, so I will likely pass, and I have a $100 Bitmain Coupon!

Don't forget the tariffs and new import fees in the USA if you get one ...that could add $200 plus to the price with shipping etc

Anyway, I should start a pool to see if my FREE decred miner for 5 obelisk sc 1/2 off coupons can make more than it uses in electric

in 4 to 6 weeks when it maybe arrives. (likely, I'd make better bucks on such betting pool than the free miner)

Ah, again, at worst to me it is a free doorstop (to go with my other 5 siacoin obelisk sc-1 doorstops in the box yet)

live an learn I guess, bound got get caught by someone in ASIC miner purchase land from 2013 till now, at least it was the

last ASIC's I'll likely ever get. I always knew I'd go one ASIC buy too far, this was it. Smiley

I am sorry for your loss those who had to purchase this doorstop of an obelisk decred miner vs my free one, I use my free

the analogy to point out how ugly this all is. It is not that it matters free or not, likely they won't be worth turning on for the electric use. Sad

later
