You got to read the whole thread :-) In a nutshell you download the .7z file from my dropbox link, then decompress it with 7zip to an iso file. Then you use a program like w32diskimager to write the ISO file onto an 8gb or bigger memory card, plug it into a bbb, and you are off to the races.

The BB is faster than the Pi, and yes does fix the annoying amount of stale shares submitted. If you like it send me some litecoin.

Meantime I still have to fix your board.....

Thanks, it is a start. I have the programs above someplace and a list on how to do this (hard copy) damned if I can find it though.

thanks

I assume it still has the issue with paper wallets not working because they never can synch...or so I was told by electrum folks they had no plans to fix this...

thus I have to use Fujicoin QT standard for a wallet. Just a heads up so others don't waste 2 weeks (like I did last month) figuring this out. By the By the 'lite

wallet version also listed (or was) on the page... has the same issue. Only the Fujicoin QT wallet standard can get around this issue, from what I've been told and

experienced.

FYI.

brad

The problem you have experienced is not a matter of paper wallet but a matter of wallet other than core wallet.

You are mining in the pool, so you receive a reward every 10 minutes to the same address. It is 4320 times a month, 52560 times a year. So the amount received for that address is recorded in 52560 blocks. To check the balance of that address wallet need to investigate 52560 blocks. This is very inefficient.

Such usage of addresses is not common and should be considered special. The current common wallet is designed to use a different address each time you receive funds. That is the idea that "address is one-time disposable".

The following solutions to this problem are conceivable.
 1. The minor changes the address at least every half year.
 2. Change the remittance frequency of the pool once every hour.
 3. Decrease the pool mining frequency by decentralizing the pool.

What do you think about this?

NO, the paper wallet in question has been moved and is NOT being mined to. It is just too damn large to do. It used to give an error with the old wallets

NOT the FJC QT wallet which imports the paper wallet just fine. Again, was told by supposed electrum devs on the previous version it was something they had

no plans to fix.

Again, not an issue on the FJC QT wallet. BUT on import on any of the other wallets listed it comes up with a large error, which may be what you are referring

to.

I can't change remittance frequency in that it is a locked in paper wallet. Again, the import function will NOT work.

Again, on a side note, I guess it should be expected. FJC does not even have a "correct working" mining calculator yet. Anyway, you can try it.

I just use FJC QT wallet and import that way.

From what I've read the focus is to get the gear out then refunds. I don't know the logistics of the refunds to comment on how quickly they could be done. With the staff they currently have its all hands on deck getting gear out. You will get your refund but its not the priority at this point. Again this is just what it appears like on the discord.
I read all that, and i ask myself why such a priority.  I noticed also that there is some work being done on the bitsreams right now. Why not take 2 days to do refunds instead?! May be shorting cryptocurrencies is another top prirority, who knows, and you need money for that afterall...  Who cares if customers miss bullrun or other opportunities. We have already paid - now we can wait, right?

Ya can't make any money on refunds if the price of BTC is depressed....wait for a pump and 'wa la' refunds...

they are 'stalling' like the rest of us on bills/etc we need to pay till the last part of the month. (hey, its what I do as a pray for a pump in alts and BTC)

not sure why I try ..I always sell at the low and buy at the high anyway...(its a gift) Sad

Litecoin Trading Commences on Gemini

Litecoin will be paired against all other assets on the platform for continuous trading and block trading. However for Gemini’s daily auctions Litecoin will only be paired with the US dollar: LTC/USD LTC/BTC LTC/ETH ZEC/LTC

Gemini has been at the forefront in the promotion of cryptocurrency to the traditional finance sector working closely to advance the adoption of the technology. This included the partnership with CBOE last year when they launched futures trading for bitcoin and the multiple exchange trade fund (ETF) attempts to allow traditional large-scale institutional investors to safely invest into the space.

Here's the full article: https://medium.com/@LitecoinDotCom/litecoin-trading-commences-on-gemini-d8e084bf4eed

Not a good sign. Gemini Launch and LTC price tanks...sheesh....

Anyone off the top of their head has the instructions on HOW to install Lightfoot's IMG file again?

I remember a long complicated process with KNC back in the day. But damned if I can remember how.

can't find a link

It used to entail using 7-zip to unzip and a program specific to copy IMG files on Windows to the SD card ..maybe some other hoops

Back in the day, I made about 7 KNC 2.00 versions of this...and just used the Gen Tarkin upgrade on top of such....on already made SD's. (When I knew how 3 years ago

plus) Sad (now not so much)

However, there is/was a KNC Titan version 2.02 with an updated BFG Miner too match such released. Also can't seem to find that anymore either

again link?

Anyway, if someone has done this enough, could you whip out the process on here...I promise this time to print it out and save it hard copy

(not sure why the bother FJC works just dandy with the KNC 2.00 controller on the Titan Bridge and regular unit...I just wanted to finally get around to

trying Lightfoot's Beagle Bone Miner version...in that, I know that I have (since the downsizing) plenty of regular KNC Neptune/Jupiter Cards with bridge boards shot

or given to me. To see if this may work better. Also, FJC mines better with 2-3 cubes, error rate wise.

Dubious reasons indeed. These better be pretty good space heaters for this winter, in that FJC prices are also 'dubious' but hey..stuff to do...

Thanks in advance

brad

This must be the worst bitmain product they came up with.

They mined this 'puppy' for months before releasing it to the public...and only after the monster innsilicon units came out and the next obelisk decred units

were to come out...this is always the case when they announce on a Friday and say they will ship yours on Friday's order, the next week! (production run is well in hand

from their previous filling up of their data halls)

this was true of the D3 the B3 and the DR3 (note the 3 where the hell are dr1 and dr2?) anyway all had quick out the door orders

it is how they roll now..make a boutique one off miner off an obscure coin in ASiC mode (1.5 months to mask the chips and 1.5 months to make the unit)

use on own data hall for months...then dump the dregs on to the silly consumers

rinse/wash/repeat

Yep, I'm toaster city here soon! (Ack!). At least have the BTC price PUMP some, before I get dumped off the list. The price of BTC is so 'embarrassing' from

my dreams, when I made this bet! (alas, gone along with my supermodel trophy wife goal at 100k BTC...alas) Sad

Gosh!!!!!  I don't think that "supermodel trophy wifes" come (even one of them) merely based on having a lot of money...

Let's say BTC prices shoot up from current prices to $1million per BTC within the next year, and let's say that you both had 100 BTC and you were able to hang onto all of them during the price rise and you cashed out at $1million  - easy peasy...!!!!  Viola!!!!  $100 million available -
minus taxes, of course, but that would be 15% capital gains - leaving $85 million.

I suppose that should be enough to keep any high maintenance girl happy, right?

my dreams, when I made this bet! (alas, gone along with my supermodel trophy wife goal at 100k BTC...alas) Sad

at 100K, 'trophy wife' coefficient is probably 1K btc, no less.
Alas, I might have been overestimating associated expenses.

You fool, you can't get a 'high quality' ...'trophy wife' for less than 100k a BTC! (Just wait, in a few years I'll prove it to ya!) Smiley

What you gonna call the proof?  Proof of work, proof of steak, proof of trophy acquisition or something else?

ack! you shot holes in my dream...I was deluded...I thought the 'trophy wife' would simply be impressed with my crypto 'chops' in staying in HODL mode thru

all the FUD the last year...ie my manly 'willpower' ...but you have pointed out it 'may have been for the $$$ that BTC will get' as I said above in jest...

dreams shattered...the trophy wife would only want me for my 'net worth'...I am crushed...

Next, you will tell me that the local 'exotic dancers' are not really interested in the technical innovation of BTC and crypto and are only listening to my stories for

the tips! (the horror!)

sorry, but hard to tell in that I'm so stupid to HODL BTC from the 18k high thru the 5.8k low to the current 6.5k BTC...obviously I"M NOT in it for the $$$ it seems.

well, denial ...it never crossed my mind...HODL'ing and all...I certainly (so far) myself not in it for the money....alas, trophy wife shall not be...I am despondent...

well, at least I have the local exotic dancers who like to listen to me talk about BTC ..surely they are not just in it for the $$...in that crypto is just way too interesting

don't ya know

That is the question you build LISK for javascript developers...to use to make coins and tokens and apps..what if no one shows up? Ack!

.................

do you mean that devs did not appear, determining an useless tool ?? this is critical.

I mean the 'premise' is that folk that know javascript will embrace lisk and use on their own projects as a tool and blockchain

not seeing much of that yet...so they built this javascrypt app for a blockchain to use...where are the devs? Some sure...

but not as much progress nor hype as last year...thus stuff seems to have 'waned' big time...

heh...

obelisk needs a 'switch' to change algo's or allow their decred miner to just mine ONE of the decred coins as an option..or something...the decred miner is a 'brick'

I'm getting one FREE for 5 1/2 coupons from my 'dubious' siacoin miners purchase. Right now, if I had one in hand, I'd lose -40c a day if in hand now.

This is 2nd batch so likely other 4-6 weeks before arrival

-0.02c per day! Amazing a NEW unit and FREE and it looks likely I would never make a profit on it over electric costs. By the time it arrives.

A little bit of math:

If you bought Ripple for $ 1000 in January, now you would have $ 79.

If you bought Bud Light for $ 1000 in January, drank all the beer and passed the bottles, now you would have $ 79.  Grin Grin Grin

you need to make a 'daily chart' in relation to this for all crypto! It would be bigger than www.worldcoinindex.com

Market is little positive and quite understandable this careful move upwards. This is bullish news by all means may be this time litecoin will be market maker with this latest development. Let's see what is coming next.

with the low volume of all crypto on all exchanges....the bots are in control....thus, the majority always try to lower prices for the whales to grab or the traders

to have an angle on buy/sell. Thus, bots are in control, IMHO. Ack! Crypto SkyNet! Ack!

Unless the masses get interested in adoption of crypto again, or we have an economic downturn and folks see crypto as a store of value like gold (mostly

related to BTC, which in turn brings up action on other altcoins) ....well we could be in for a 1 - 2-year bear market' at much lower prices for all crypto. Sad
