1741  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (Open) on: January 16, 2019, 07:18:17 PM

Well, as an aside, I looked at the 'current' spreadsheet folks that are 'supposedly' going to be paid for the last 2 months in the campaign...

There is 10 folk total. With only ONE person with no signature at all anymore.

Thus 9 folks are still in the campaign. If (I remember correctly) there is an escrow on BTC with this campaign...I don't understand why a quick payout and wrap up

of the campaign (close it) is all that difficult with only 9 folk eligible in this last round?

Anyway, for what it is worth. Again, unsure if Bitbender account does keep funds in escrow...others on here can chime in on that.

anyway, thought it interesting enough to post the above.

Bitcoin is lower,
Shitcoins are the lowest yet.
I think I'll just hold.

I too resemble the above...again, having been proven at below 3.5k BTC...I can and quite quickly panic sell like a small 9-year-old girl..including

shrieking...however..that was at 3.965k which still sucks as it seems to have been the correct move with the current price (13 BTC) thru 'dubious' sia-tech actions dumped

(5) obelisk sc1's and now should be a bit over 4 btc ...back...but alas...the PTSD of dumping from the hoard still 'stinks' ..no more miners...gonna be tough if ever to

're-coup'

those 9 btc 'punted' again...selling them and eating is nice...buying soap..that kinda thing in that retired on crypto...(less soap?)

9 BTC still in the whim of my 5-year long BTC lifestyle ..is still bothersome....that 9-year-old panic'd dump) Sad

BUT, I shall try to live up to your 'expectations' in the above quote and HODL...hopefully enough of us can manage to do this and price recovers...

(probably just jinx'd price with the above) Sad

But again...gonna try to HODL...

meh! who knows...the whims or my inner 9-year-old child can be powerful at around the 3k mark.

we will see

Lol, went looking through really old PMs as there are a couple people I had trustworthy interactions with back in the day.

Found this...I am more lucky than I am smart.

I gather that he did not have a -32 trust rating when you offered some BTC huh?

if so...that seems to have escalated quickly ....you really got to work your scammer skills to get a -32 BTC rating

that approaches Josh at Butterfly Labs ..them 'evil' depths of trust rating...
1743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: January 14, 2019, 08:50:25 PM

I should have clarified those calculations were done when BTC was at 5.2k USD or so....back a bit

I suspect since the dump it has not done any better...I'd LOVE to be utterly wrong on this and build a rig

anyway, since the dump have not bothered to look at this again...also remember this was with USED equipment

really unsure of what it would be with new (even though I assume storage prices for HD's have likely? come down since that $5.2k price...I think it was when I did the calcs)

anyway, should have been more clear

Of course You should have been more clear. At least to show "calculation" with "25% loss" running SIA hosts.
Taking into account that SIA cloud storage is the feature distinguishing SIA from crypto crowd it is of great interest seeing such "calculation".
Especially when SIA team is assuming that professional data storage nodes would be the core of SIA storage cloud, not the average Joe with available free HDD space and sufficient internet bandwidth.
My opinion is opposite - SIA team could partner with HDD manufacturers and each OTC HDD would come with preinstalled SIA hosting software/wallet that customers could run if proper internet connection is available.
At this point of SIA wallet usability it is not possible, but decentralization is power crypto world should aim to.

No matter the calcs..the decentralized part of the equation (small folk like me) that would wish to build a small box to explore this can't afford to...thus w/o such data halls and big guys coming into play...

what is the difference in centralization (like btc mining) vs decentralization as sia-techs goal. I assume it is their goal in that the keep making arrangements with small builds like minerbox and another one

recently I forget the name of. Thus, they seem to be kicking out a lot of equipment and if it is a 3 legged stool, the price of the coin, storage, and asic security..they are IMHO, really really behind on the decentralized

the storage aspect ..which should have been the first consideration IMHO, then ASIC's ...anyway...not a good trend to continue IMHO.....I mean they have just shipped 1-5 batches of ASIC equipment with no real

need for that much ASIC power on a network that is in no way up to par, again IMHO. Lastly, this is my assuming that all price of siacoin without any storage network that pays...is based on speculation..so

by all means....get more ASIC's out there driving difficulty up.. oops already happened...so as a strategy by sia-tech...I sure do understand the order of priority in the whole works
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: January 12, 2019, 11:08:34 PM
I have much holding siacoin (sc)
any staking opportunity,/ mining or any reward  or any other opportunity  -I want to work with my holding amount of siacoin..

Sure you can earn more SC in a few ways:

  • By mining it
  • By being a SIA host and renting out your spare disk space.

Last time I looked at the renting out spare disk space..it is at a 25% plus loss...buying used equip and hard drives..it is a NON starter

Mind sharing Your calculation that leads to "25% loss"?

I should have clarified those calculations were done when BTC was at 5.2k USD or so....back a bit

I suspect since the dump it has not done any better...I'd LOVE to be utterly wrong on this and build a rig

anyway, since the dump have not bothered to look at this again...also remember this was with USED equipment

really unsure of what it would be with new (even though I assume storage prices for HD's have likely? come down since that $5.2k price...I think it was when I did the calcs)

anyway, should have been more clear

The other thing is I hear very little on here on such storage rigs on this thread, you'd think if such rigs were making $$$

folk would be posting about it on the thread with encouragement...that is another concern of mine..such as it is.

As to the Siacoin Price...I SOLD my sia obelisk miners (5) for enough money just 'barely' by like 0.0125 over or so the BTC spent in 2017 over my

original investment......so I am calling that a WIN...in that they sat as 'doorstops' in the box for 1.5 months or some such ..till the siacoin fork...

this is with the 1.25 million siacoin I managed to mine...above and beyond that 'cover my ass on equipment' on the miners...I also am unclear how much/if any siacoin I will

keep and/or convert to BTC ...the miner money is in BTC along with the supposed compensation from sia-tech that is coming...too boot will be applied to above orig equip $$$ FYI.

so, broke even with miners sold 2 months ago or so....barely....now as to do with 1.25 million siacoin..above and beyond that Win...I'm unclear...that is above

and beyond my original equipment investment etc.

again, as I have said before...too much, IMHO, dubious 'silence' on the anonymous cloud storage solution sia-tech touts and of

course we know the issues with miners and/or siacoin price in this crypto bear market...anyway..it all makes me 'twitchy' indeed.

(not that I know what I'm talking about ..it is not like I sold enough crypto of any flavor when the bubble of price was high)  sigh... Sad

Feel free to 'chime' in here, those with siacoin storage setups...I'd love to be frigging wrong...bored I am ....no miners of not of any crypto flavor now in 2019.

1746  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Introducing MinerMart.Biz - where to go to find the best new & used Crypto Equip on: January 10, 2019, 06:06:07 PM
After many months of planning and hard work, we at Elektrum Farms are pleased to be rolling out our latest service to the crypto mining community - MinerMart!  MinerMart.Biz is an online store, built by miners, for miners, to buy and sell your used, surplus and new mining equipment.  We recognize that we will have to earn your trust over time, but our goal is to be the most trusted, knowledgeable and well stocked source for new and pre-owned mining equipment anywhere in the world.

Our initial inventory is available now and we are finalizing discussions with more shuttered and upgrading mining facilities to bring new stock online everyday.  In the next few days we will also be rolling out the ability for you to post your own equipment for sale and access the growing MinerMart universe of active buyers.  Stay tuned for that announcement.

For now, we have an inventory of GPU cards and ASIC machines that have been personally examined by MinerMart, passed our 19 step testing procedure and carry the “MinerMart Approved” moniker.

Please take a minute and visit our shop at www.MinerMart.Biz and tell us what you think.  Yes, the interface will get prettier and the interaction model will improve over time.  But we want to hear from you on what functionality we can add, and what we can do better.  You are the community we serve and your opinion matters greatly to us!

Finally, follow us on Twitter @MinerMart_Biz and send us a quick note at support@minermart.biz to be added to our mailing list.  Be one of the first to receive new inventory notifications.

Thanks again and we look forward to building a great buying and selling experience with your help.

The MinerMart Team

Well, good luck on your SIX cards shown for sale on the link...or is the site just confusing and there is more?

Gonna have to 'step it up' some. IMHO. Smiley

Is $4,000 the new $200-250 of 2015?

Yes, but it probably wont last as long.

I bought at $4050 btc $37.27 of btc on a hoot. Was a step to far today. Opps broke the pump.

My bad.
1748  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (Open) on: January 10, 2019, 04:03:12 AM
Well, no other sig campaigns seem to be open..so I'm still wearing this one..but what has it been? almost 2 months since the last payment?

hmmm...well it is not like any campaigns are open and I can't leave the tag line below

but I mean really? Befuddled...

1749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FujiCoin 3.0 | Japan | Since 2014 | BlockBid - Bleutrade - Cryptopia on: January 10, 2019, 02:19:32 AM
cant withdraw cryptopia again =(

Says that currency under maintenance.

I saw that on Dec 25th..has it been that way since then or was it working again briefly?

I used bleutrade...I always flush out all stuff in/out asap ..if I move some to btc....been caught by the maintenance trap before

edited just now at 1/9/19 10pm CST USA below

I did not check but IF cryptopia is still under maintenance...the price is being reflected at 4 satoshi's vs 2 satoshi's on blutrade instead...

lol....games/games...thus if you can't get your FJC out I guess the price has to rise huh?

never leave crypto in an exchange...seen too many games with 'maintenance' played like this Sad

Again, maybe you can take out stuff on cyptopia again and it is a 'real' pump in price..but I kinda doubt it..(sorry, too lazy to check)

anyway, later

1750  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 05, 2019, 06:00:59 PM
Some of us are investors who mined/bought because we see the value of the technology and support its potential.

Unfortunately, that 'mined' portion is going away as we speak.
This is true for people with more than 6c/kwh electricity price, which is probably the vast majority of geographic locations, at least in OECD countries.

It's EOL, unless BTC moves back above 6K or more.

yep I'm out..the only thing 'remotely' profitable is my 4 plus year old knc Titan scypt miners in the basement ..for heat. (lossing $25 a month but with heat calling it a draw).

that will continue till middle of april when my electric rates go up from winter rates of 10.14c kwh to 15.3c kwh or maybe more with a price increase. The titan as an asic

has a 'fluke' in that it can mine a scrypt-n coin vs just scrypt like LTC. Thus this works for some folk better (with less electric than myself) running Fujicoin (FJC) a BTC clone.

Go figure, but yeah kinda fitting that the last thing I will turn off, is the 4 year old knc titans.

A buddy with a data hall, with paid off and underclocked bitmain L3+ scrypt miners says that with electric rate hikes on such, LTC needs to go up 30% to 40% in price for

any mining at summer rates. I think he said with Bitmain S9 miners (BTC) it was kinda the same..but perhaps 25% increase in BTC price would pull that off, I'm unclear.

That will also be the time that mt. gox is gonna dump BTC back to the masses.

But yeah, looks like there is plenty of BTC and crypto out there of any flavor..so folk need to HODL more and/or adoption has to come back with price or this could get even more ugly.

1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: January 04, 2019, 10:55:31 PM
I heard from a buddy that at data hall summer rates (May 2019) he will need $50 LTC to kinda squeak by after Winter rates.

What is the consensus on that with the rest of you folk? Oh, forgot, he is using 'underclocked' L3+'s that can both use 1 Bitmain PSU only as a result.

Curious about this, I sold all my LTC and all my data hall LTC Bitmain units.

Just wondering how it all has to hang together by Summer Electric Rate increases. (USA)

Well, anyone get any 2nd batch obelisk's yet? Or for that matter the board stuff?

I sold all mine (5) ASAP, for 2k each, but still, have some compensation coming from Obelisk and Sia-Tech.

In that I looked at the (5) obelisk sc1's for 2 months in the box as 'door stops' till the siacoin fork...I felt the better part

of valor, was to sell them and run away. (its how I roll lately, panic, panic find out I was correct in panic, rinse/wash/repeat)

But, have not heard zip on what is up with the boards shipping the 2nd batch and beyond stuff shipping and the compensation progress.

So curious what is up. Just post your reply on this thread, I'm sure others are also wondering.

thanks

1753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No bull run this year?! For real? on: January 04, 2019, 04:29:36 AM
Most of the people said in this board there will be no bull run in the late of 2018 and there is a high probability that bull run comes in mid-2019. What's your thought about it?

If it is anything like 2014 to 2015..it is unlikely....sideways is my guess....(hope I"m dead wrong and it pumps back to over 10k) but with all the FUD out there...and no newbie

action...sideways price just might be what we need to calm the FUD down eventually. IMHO.

Why do so many pricks have so much BTC.
Ban the pricks from BTC.

Hey, damn it, I resemble that remark?
1755  Economy / Services / Re: [BitBlender] Signature Campaign - Seniors and up (Open) on: December 31, 2018, 08:02:13 PM
I sent my application again and hoped I was chosen
I will check back regularly, I will wear everything required on my profile on joining, applying to multiple campaigns presently
<snip>
Please pm me if you accept me... you seem to be busy alot.
Etc., etc.

Are you people blind or something?  Lutpin has essentially abandoned this campaign and no word has been given about it except Lutpin's second to last post here on Nov. 27, which is ambiguous at best:

I'm preparing payments to make up for the missed rounds.
They'll be sent out tomorrow morning.

After that, the campaign will switch from bi-weekly payments to monthly rounds,
but more about that once the payments have been made.

I'll also talk to bitblender about whether, and if how, to transfer the campaign.
So it's not clear if the campaign participants are still getting paid, since it's been just over a month since the last payment Lutpin verified, and we also know he's not managing the 777Coin and Bitvest campaigns anymore.  If you guys are applying to this campaign, you're either very desperate or very foolish.  I wouldn't trust any campaign lightlord or Lutpin have any part of.  Read the posts here and use your heads for something other than a hat rack.

Edit:
Seriously now, you are encouraging sheeple to do some actual reading and thinking?
I know you're being facetious, but yes, I'm encouraging them to do both of those things.  Unfortunately what we'll probably see after this are just more applications to a campaign that's likely dead and with either no manager or one with a recent track record of delaying payments and not communicating with the campaign participants.  Lightlord is in charge of all of this, yet he keeps silent.

Anyone wearing the BitBlender signature ought to consider themselves working for free until proven otherwise, and I think any new applicants are just wasting their time.

Well, I see your sig campaign is full as are all the others...so nothing better to do with my sig space right now then hope this campaign pays out again, even if really, really late.

If you have other options PM me, otherwise....that currently is my lot in signature campaigns etc for now. I assume most, if not all folk on this campaign are in the same boat.

We require a picture of your "rubber ducky" so that we may paste our avatars on said ducky, and thus replace the caps on here.

We thank you for your picture in advance, please just the ducky...no 'hey its a submarine periscope' additions.

We now return to the regularly scheduled madness which is the 'wall observer thread' in progress.

i just found that i made a transaction in 2014

Amount:     2.0392 BTC
BTC-Address:     139a4FeUFvpNjDZfbvUHHuQAoomP4UwKoM
Transaction-ID:     0f9f90b72ff0dfd4c87a076952e71f3c2f575cdc64a475eb2e998bdb3dfebb3a
Date of execution:     May 22, 2014 7:48:27 AM CEST

to Alpha technology to pay the miner

till today i didn't receive nothing....

Just write emails to payments@alpha-t.net (I think that’s the emails but recheck) and ask for refund. I went through all the small claims case with UK justice and won it, but never got the costs paid by Akram. You might ne able to get a refund if you threat with legal actions.

Akram told me last year he was able to return the money cause the money was free now that the chips were finished and that he was going to deliver the devices soon. I will post email.

small problem...even if you got the devices..it would not pay in electric to run them...that was 4 years ago....current Bitmain L3+ units go for 59 bucks on their site and it is 3 buck a day loss in electric for me...

the alpha-tech ship has sunk...

move on

either the guy legitimately tried and failed and/or he just scam'd folk..and failed in that as well...either way it is deader than dead

you are talking about stuff that is going on 4.5 years now..sheesh

If you have no experience with this case why do you come to diss about it? Let people do whatever they want. You are not contributing at all with your comment. I wrote them and got my money. Maybe any of these people can get their money back too.

OK..I'll bite...

1) what was the amount of refund? all of your pre-order and/or just a percentage? If so what percentage did you get back? (or they say you will get back on the reply)

2) still think it will be peanuts compared to what you paid but who knows

As to experience...I was one of the last ones I know of to get any $$$ from alpha-tech months after the fact of the PayPal going beyond 45 days of payment and the dispute of 60 days also passed.

That was ONLY because Amex card folk got involved. (see previous post)

Being, as far as I know, I was one of the LAST folk refunded (by Amex duress) that was like Fall of 2015 I think it was?

Thus being 2018 now I'm a bit skeptical.

By all means, if you get something back post it on here....a few of us (for some unknown reason after 3-4 years) still have this thread toggled...I'm sure many would be thrilled to find out they could get

any $$$ back.

Be warned however in 2016 I got a similar email saying they were shipping within a couple months...so anyway good luck..post your results here (with a picture) would be my advice

and contact info for others to also follow up if you are successful

I do not understated why people invested first place :-(

My biggest fear, The money is probably used for terrorism.

None of that. No terrorism.

I got my money back after I visited personally the father's and brother's accountancy company in Manchester. No calls, just showed up. They said the whole family broke up ties with Mohammed Akram because of this story. It was kind of sad. I wrote Mohammed again a couple days later and got something like 80% refunded (I don't remember correctly anymore).

The guy just got fucked over by Dexcel, the company building the chips. Did he finally deliver any of the miners?

Nope...as in previous posts...I got my money back as a fluke....1st was denied by amex my (what was it 30% down via paypal and amex?) but pointed out the proof they sent

to amex that I paid said 'paid in full' I pointed out that alpha-tech ONLY took a 30% or whatever it was down payment and waited for the paypal to run out (more than 45 days).

Amex was not amused and went after them in force then. I got all my $$$ back on the 1 unit pre-order. Mastercard I also heard was not amused and also went after them.

a cluster indeed

You persist on the negativity don't you?

Ok, I will join.... yesterday I received the news of a (once in a lifetime) opportunity that I could have taken advantage of if Bitcoin were still over $10K. Timing sucks. But such is life... we need to move on.

Really, stop complaining. AFAIK, Bitcoin has treat you very well.

sheesh... I try to lighten the mood with some 'dark humor' and I get beat up Smiley

ok.. I suppose that is fair...

it is 'too soon' I will refrain...
