261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Best ICO to choose for beginners on: June 23, 2018, 07:57:11 PM
Rule number 1: never invest in any ICO/token/coin just because someone else tells you to. You could listen to recommendations but you have to check them out yourself, your best strategy would be to actually learn what to look for in an ICO and backtest. At the end of the day it's a bit of a gamble, ICO's aren't like normal businesses so it's definitely harder and definitely a lot of luck involved.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] ViValid - 1.3M USD REWARDS, 8 WEEKS on: June 23, 2018, 07:27:56 PM
Hello,
I was checking the spreadsheet (objections section) and I see that someone made a request to change my ETH address and the change was made.

22.05.2018 06:34:27   masterzino   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=406304   Signature   I will change my old ETH address (0x0043693708aDb9e9A53A54408eda4826eae7dc7C) to my new ETH address (0xC6Bfc7141626E6b4833730b8CE35cc93c05E6B40)   0x0043693708aDb9e9A53A54408eda4826eae7dc7C   Changed

This was not me!

The ETH address (0xC6Bfc7141626E6b4833730b8CE35cc93c05E6B40) is not mine.

I have no intention to change my ETH address. It is: 0x0043693708aDb9e9A53A54408eda4826eae7dc7C

Please fix this one and don't change it again.

This happened to pretty much everyone in this campaign, the objections form is flawed and someone is using it to change addresses.

EVERYONE, CHECK YOUR ETHEREUM ADDRESS, SEE IF IT'S CHANGED

mine was changed too, it should be 0x1644aC14aa9C682a3B79533EA8A3a07E9Ff57eD3  and the manager of this bounty hasn't responded yet to my pms.
263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are telegram members of a project real? How can one tell? on: June 17, 2018, 11:11:38 PM
Fairly easy to tell if you spend some time in there. If you see telegram channels with 10k+ members, that's already huge. Usually real and active telegram channels have between 100 and 1000 active users. Most of those users that aren't active join because it's part of the bounty or requirements for the airdrop. That doesn't mean they aren't real, they just wont really say anything or pay much attention to the channel.
264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Guide to BountyHunting! on: June 17, 2018, 11:09:40 PM
Also as I mentioned in a previous post, be aware of scammers, participants in your bounty might try to scam you. Someone tried it on me, they made the manager change my ethereum address by impersonating me. They had a google form to fill for complaints and someone changed my address. Thankfully I always check it at the end of the bounty, you should too, always check your addresses on the spreadsheet. You should add that to your guide.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: June 17, 2018, 11:06:41 PM
Getting emotional for your money is normal but minding it for so long isn't. Getting rid of your emotions while trading might broke you. The right way to manage it is to control it example trading dedicate yourself into giving you heart and mind to pick the best suited for you being emotional on your loss won't give you knowledge instead learn from your mistakes and strong dedicate yourself from learning and soon controling your emotions will be natural.

I agree. Money and the idea of gaining or losing it does carry some emotion to it that is surely normal for any human or person to deal with. So, I think that the better word is not 'get rid' but control. When trading, one should keep his emotions in check to avoid getting too worked up with any one trade. Instead, one should see sny venture with an objective eye to help him decide what is the better plan of action is.

Using an amount of money that you don't mind losing can help tremendously with emotions. Sticking to your trading strategy also pretty much gets rid of emotion as long as you are following 100% of the times, which you should, it's really the only way to make money.
266  Economy / Economics / Re: What is bitcoin backed by? on: June 17, 2018, 11:04:25 PM
By it's technological uniqueness, by it's fame, by all crypto-believers all around the world. ISn't that enough?

There is no technological uniqueness anymore, the more than 5000 altcoins are the prime example of the copy and paste greed that we have gone through. I honestly even think that people are heavily distracted, where they don't seem to be able to appreciate Bitcoin for what it is. The main focus of people has been that they jump from one coin to the other based on where the market is offering the best possible potential profit opportunities. If people had a slight clue about how shitty the altcoin market is, they wouldn't mess around with them, and they would have the patience to let their wealth in Bitcoin grow in a slower but more sustainable manner....

For sure, 90% of alt coins don't even have a product or prototype and still make it to top 100. Bitcoin has a lot of developers working together and they can always fork bitcoin if needed. You can fork bitcoin a couple times and boom, bitcoin is back on top of the technology race
267  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 17, 2018, 10:57:50 PM
Nowadays, I believe that bitcoin is under manipulation and it is the main reason for the market movement.
But, when market moves to a direction it always has a herd effect and the stupid people just do panic buy or sell.

You can profit from market manipulation, tho. If they are dumping on purpose, they are doing it to buy cheap before they pump it back, best trading strategy in that case is to wait for the signal of a reversal and then buy, go all in, set a stop loss and possibly profit a lot.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What affects your decision to take part in a Bounty Campaign? on: June 17, 2018, 10:55:57 PM
Look to the team first of all and for the problem what they gonna decide. Lokk to the bounty manager who carry out but not all the time it's work. They need to have good website and good revious on popular platforms.

Also be aware of scams from other participants, recently I just discovered someone made a ''complaint'' using my name and profile link to change my ethereum address, thankfully I checked it and realized that it was changed. Everyone should always check their address because someone could just impersonate you and try to change it. In this case it was because the campaign allowed people to submit complaints via google forms.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long time holding, is it a smart thing to do? on: June 17, 2018, 10:54:05 PM
Long term holding is good, if you are in the right Alt's.

Personally I swing trade, I don't day trade, if something has been pumping, I do my charting, and sell when I think it's at the top, buy when it drops.

If it doesn't drop, don't FOMO in, move on to something else.

No shit. In this current market is basically impossible to tell if you are in the right Alt because everything goes down with bitcoin. Even really good alt coins can't survive. I would wait for the market to calm down or enter a bull trend, otherwise long term for alt coins is no different than just buying ethereum or bitcoin.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason for recent dips? on: June 17, 2018, 10:03:53 PM
The effect for the recent dip is because of the recent korean exchange hacking event. The whales got panic to sell all their token because the government are looking on that matter seriously that is why there is more selling event than buying. It is pretty normal for me that this happen and i believe it will recover again soon.

Most likely not, people need to understand that news aren't always responsible for moves in the market. We have had plenty of good news and bitcoin hasn't reached 20k again, news alone aren't the only variable. Traders and investors play a big role, technical analysis too, snowball effect.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: planning for down market on: June 17, 2018, 09:59:27 PM
I have told this countless times. It is a bad move to dump your coins when the market is in a vulnerable state. It is not a smart decision and it will just show how restless you are. Always be patient and wait for the values to rise because they will for sure after a period of time. So HODL all the way and never give up.

You sure about that? Was it not smart to sell when it dumped from 20k to 15k? Holding forever is the best way to lose 90% of your money, looking at the price tank everyday can't be healthy mentally, unless you can afford it. I would not hold cryptos for more than a few weeks, months at most.

You both are right in fact. Indeed, when the price is high and you haven't yet lost too much or stay in the green territory yet, it makes perfect sense to close your position as fast as possible (when the prices start to crash), even if it means losing something. But if you already lost like 90% of your investment, closing your position under these circumstances doesn't make sense unless you urgently need money. Losing the rest would not be a big deal anyway already, but if you choose to sell, there is no way back, no matter how you look at it.

Well, you should never allow your investment to lose 90% of its value. People always say, don't sell, it will eventually comeback but the crypto does not "know" what you paid, nor does it care. If the market enters a big downtrend like this one, it would be a good idea to sell even at 90% loss. You shouldn't judge the moment to sell or buy by the amount of money lost or won, you should judge it by how the market is acting.

Trends tend to persist, last time it was a few years, imagine a few years of downtrend right now, it could go to 1k, who knows.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Strategy on: June 17, 2018, 09:55:40 PM
Campaigns that pay in BTC/ETH will earn you less money compared to tokens. Obviously in btc/eth is guaranteed money, on the other hand tokens aren't. Signature campaigns are better on btc or eth. Social media and others are really good on tokens because you can participate in many at the same time, getting rid of the rng and making a really good amount of money with a really low amount of work.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: What is bitcoin backed by? on: June 17, 2018, 09:54:02 PM
Supply and demand. At the end of the day is anything really backed by anything? Money started existing because people needed that concept to trade. So again, supply and demand is in everything. You could argue that bitcoin is backed by miners as they are the ones who maintain the blockchain.
274  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: June 17, 2018, 09:47:50 PM
Sometimes you need emotions when trading, as it allows you to understand the emotional market sentiment, however for the most part, it leaves you hanging onto bags which you would otherwise have dumped at the first sign of trouble. The truth is, you should keep a balance between the two, particularly when trading more volatile coins. You probably don't need to use much emotion when trading Bitcoin or Ethereum for example. That's probably why it's best for emotional people to try hands off approaches, so they don't screw themselves over.

I don't know what's your definition of emotion but you certainly don't need emotion to understand market sentiment, you need knowledge. There is no such thing as using emotion here. In other fields it can work, like rage or anger in combat sports for example. I don't see how you can use emotions in this field, though.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What affects your decision to take part in a Bounty Campaign? on: June 17, 2018, 09:45:26 PM
You could just participate with social media, signature is honestly not that worth it because you can't participate in many bounties at the same time. Say bounties have a 40% chance of success, you will need to participate in around 3 signature bounties to more or less guarantee a win, that can take months, half a year probably and it's still not 100%. Social media on the other hand, you can participate in 10-20 or even more bounties at the same time, essentially getting rid of the rng.
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin stay above 6500? on: June 17, 2018, 09:40:31 PM
Hope for the bulls to come. We can't assume on when will be the expected bull to come.

But there's only few words that I'll leave here which I have read somewhere on the web and whoever created it, credits to him.

 "In bitcoin we trust"

We trust for it's come back and healthy market soon.

We trust for it's domination.

We trust even the market falls.

We trust bitcoin in almost everything.

If you are trading, don't hope for anything, wait for the right signals before buying. Right now, nothing indicates a reversal so there is no reason to buy right now unless you like extra risk, which is fine but you have to know how to play it correctly. Volume declining means that eventually a big move will happen.
277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin stay above 6500? on: June 17, 2018, 07:15:34 PM
Watching the declining volume and price it seems to me that a big move is approaching, definitely bears have the advantage right now, if it happens we are certainly going below 6k. We could bounce from that really hard like the last few times or continue the downtrend.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Investment for 1 year on: June 17, 2018, 07:07:00 PM
What are some of the alts that you feel can give high profits like 100x in a year, by the end of 2018.

Do Golem, Nem, DGB, Siacoin have that potential in them?

What will be your picks for a year long investment?

I very much doubt that there will still be similar profits. It seems to me that market volatility is declining. New money will go into top projects. Of course there will be a chance for new projects. Pay attention to the REM coin. New project Remme, which reached the goal of 18 million dollars in one day. I think that the project has a strong potential and will give several X's.

Market volume is declining which makes volatility decline. However everytime that happens a big move also happens shortly after, it could be a bearish move or a bullish move, right now it seems like it's going to be bearish.
279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: June 17, 2018, 07:05:36 PM
Create a strategy and follow it always, 100% of the times. You can tweak it, backtest it but once you have your strategy, do not ever do something that's not in your strategy. This is the only way to get rid of emotions. Your strategy is mathematical, it's based on technical or fundamental analysis and other patterns, as long as you follow your strategy, you are not using your emotions. Obviously the hard part here is to actually follow your strategy. It's not as easy as it seems but it's the best way to do it.
Unpredictable things might happen along the way, just be attentive and knowledgeable,  we should know what we will react in every situation that may come in trading.

Not really, though. What can really happen? If you are trading using a strategy, you have stop losses set and you also know when to take profits on the way up, even if the market randomly crashes 20% it doesn't matter because you have your stop losses. A strategy is the best way to trade, almost no one can do it though.
280  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: June 17, 2018, 07:04:18 PM
Pretty much 99% of market movement is driven by human emotion, in crypto, at least. Normal stocks have businesses behind them, income, earnings, the overall performance of the company matters a lot when it comes to stocks, cryptos on the other hand can just rocketjump to the moon without any real explanation.
