261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 05, 2024, 12:06:43 PM

It could also be the genetics, and I will say that he is a genetic abnormally because even at his age, he is not slowing down just like the rest of the players and as if he is still in his prime and no one can even get close to the records that he has put. For $1 million? yeah it really pays off, he can spend that big money on his body as he is one of the highest paid athlete in the NBA today. And probably even in off season, he still take care of his body unlike others let's say his contemporary in Carmelo Anthony, so is not known to go in the gym but just rely on this pure talent. But we've seen that his game deteriorated when he is no longer in his prime.

Yes he is gifted but at the same time he is also very discipline, that's the reason why despite of his age he is still dominant. For a superstar that has a lot of money to spend on things, he knows how to manage his finances, as other irresponsible stars might just abuse their body like partying with friends and spending their money to enjoy life.

Lebron is quite differnet, he is an inspiration to aspiring players that in this kind of sports, even if a player is aging, as long as they know how to take care of their body, they can still play and be paid with a decent salary.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: March 02, 2024, 02:51:59 PM
I think we're getting into FOMO season.. rn I'm focused on accumulating quality alts, memes on Solana that'll be on my pf going into the bull run. I'm targeting some listed here https://twitter.com/CapSatoshix/status/1763508551807328688?t=6zHkehGeMKtBkDsr5jnsvA&s=19
LOL what a joke. Cheesy

You, created this thread to know other people opinions whether the new Bitcoin ATH will happens in this year or not, but you're actually want to buy shitcoins instead of Bitcoin! then what's the point to ask a question about Bitcoin.

Even though Bitcoin can cause a big effect to shitcoins, but it's not always when Bitcoin price rise, shitcoins will follow it.
Bitcoin has nothing to do with shitcoins as it pumps and dumps without any reason. I assume that OP is joking as he does not intend to buy Bitcoin but meme coins. I think he is looking for something big and instant believing that meme coins will create some hype again. He is joking certainly for not seeing the risk in these shitcoin/meme coins.

I hope he can change his mind and instead of focusing on finding gems, he will choose coins that guarantee assurance. It can't be 100% but at least, we know buying Bitcoin is worth it and profitable. OP got fooled by those numbers. It was just for a short period of pumping after that, it dumps like no recovery happened.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 02, 2024, 01:57:41 PM
That is irresponsible gambling. He was supposed to check his wallet first before gambling but he did not which led to such a thing. Maybe he is in a rush or has an intention, in any case, we should be aware of the current balance of our wallet before gambling.

I'd never experience this and I don't do this either. To gamble responsibly should be our practice as we not just lose the trust of others as it happens to that person but also, this will help to avoid overspending. This is not a coincidence but a sort of missing out on our budget. However, this can be avoided if we gamble responsibly.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy to win in this bull run? on: March 02, 2024, 12:32:56 PM
I hope I just missed but where is the list OP?

Anyway, I'm not really an expert or consider this as advice but the best thing to do in order to win this bull season is to buy now and hold, then sell later.
We never lose any penny if we sell our coins at a high price. Having a target seems it help to determine when we sell.

Many investors lose their money because of doubts which is why must have Trust and confidence before investing and choose only potential coins, not shitcoins. And in order to earn more, we must also be patient and focus on our target. And most of all, don't be so dumb with people on social media because that will affect our minds.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: March 02, 2024, 11:24:18 AM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.
When someone wins, of course, their character will change due to the effects of happiness they experience, this is natural and of course everyone can feel it.  I also often experience this when I win a game, the money I earn from gambling is usually spent with my friends.  Likewise, when you lose at gambling, of course you will feel disappointed, you will become silent and sometimes even regret that you spent too much money on gambling.
That was a normal mode change but what we are trying to see is how it changes your behavior. Some get easily angry after losing and some are too generous as well when they win - this is a usual change that we see. The impact of gambling has a moderate to severe mental impact and sometimes some gamblers can't take control of their feelings and fall into addiction.

That is why it is very important we have to limit our time in gambling and must take it easy. The more we focus on gambling, the more it affects our mentality and behavioral changes.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which of these betting Statements Do you Agree or Disagree With? on: March 02, 2024, 10:38:20 AM

1. Don't bet all your money on one bet.
I agree with this statement. Unless we don't want to stay long in gambling. Besides, we want to enjoy gambling so there is no need to spend all our money in an instant.
Quote
2. Bet the same amount on every bet.
3. Don't bet more than once a day.
4. Don't bet every day.

These are the opposite of #1. But I agree with #4 the most because this will prevent us from getting into addiction.
In general, it was all about self-control and financial management. Let us think that we are gambling for fun, not because we are working in this to make money. The more we spend money and time on gambling, the more we lose, and it badly affects our mental health and even compromises our finances.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone is holding their bitcoin, will there be a balance? on: March 01, 2024, 06:45:33 PM
I have read several posts encouraging people to hold their bitcoin for the greater good of bitcoin and probably more reward in the future. I have also been able to buy some for myself and also holding. But there is this concern that usually pop up in my head anytime I am meditating and that is what will happen if everyone is holding their bitcoin and no one is willing to sell. This can possibly happen in the future when mining reward becomes too small. I know some people will say that miners will continue to mine and sell to sustain their business but when there is reduced selling, will mining still be a profitable business?

If this question appear dumb, please pardon me, I just need clarifications.
Indeed, it encourages people to hold but it never says we did this forever. This advice arises during the bear season as this will help to fasten the recovery but can't stop people from leaving in doubt and weaknesses, some will sell. We can't change how the crypto market works, selling and buying are very active because not all are holders, they are active traders who keep the market alive.

Of course, if mining rewards become small, it will discourage miners but if the numbers decrease, that will increase their rewards as well. It is expected that some miners will stop their operations because of huge expenses but some will stay and keep working. If the majority holds, it was not lead to end of crypto space but just an increase of price.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 01, 2024, 12:12:11 PM
How about the Miami Heat vs Denver Nuggets, a preview of the last NBA Finals, and once again, the Nuggets have proven that they are the better team.

Though we can give this to the Nuggets, as the Heat are on a long road trip and they might be a bit tired going into this game, but 5 out of 6 games on the road is already quite impressive. The good news is, they are now at number 8 and will surely continue to rise. This team is probably going to make a surprise again in the playoffs. I like this healthy squad this season and their potential to upset the top-seeded teams.
269  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 11:03:30 AM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

By law, debt is not inheritable because the one that is in a contract, either verbally or written, is the only person that is liable to pay the loan. If he passes, the loan will be paid automatically. That's why in lending practice, the loan is insured so if the borrower dies, the insurance company will take care of the loan. Maybe some lenders could go after the property of the borrower if it was being used as collateral for the loan, but without that agreement, the lender cannot take the property of the borrower.
270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What traders must know on: February 29, 2024, 09:50:53 PM
Tips are given already by old and expert traders, what we just need is to make some effort to follow what they say. I'm sure was not hard to do it if we aim to become like them or even better. Unfortunately, what happened now is most new traders want instant learning and profit. What is in there is that once they learn to trade today they will expect they become experts tomorrow.

There are misconceptions in trading that these newbies must correct what is in their minds. They have to stop assuming that trading is easy but rather they think it is hard and need to exert effort to learn trading in general in order to succeed.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts on the latest news about TON on: February 29, 2024, 09:14:45 PM
Can't say it now if that is useful or another trick until the criteria are ready already. For me, it was just an announced proposal to encourage people to consider TONcoin on their list of investments. It is a good market strategy and probably it works.

Well, I expect some increase in demand for TON, and seeing on the price chart, it shows a growing momentum which it certainly gives hope for the investors and gives confidence that they can get some ROI in the future.

Since the Telegram founder is known as the owner of Toncoin, this event will happen like what happened to Dogecoin and Tesla company. Was not a surprise and we need to see the criteria for the rewards.

^^ What is David Benavidez leaves PBC and join Eddie Hearn and DAZN just to chase Canelo? Similar to what GGG did just to get his fight with Canelo back then?

It's not about the money, Canelo was offered as per reports,

$45 Million for Charlo
$55 Million for Spence at 164 lbs
$65 Million for Benavidez

Maybe this is his and Eddie Hearn plans after all, feel sorry for Tom Brown and the PBC for falling for Canelo's trickery here.

That's a purse a boxer could not resist, so I'm wondering why Canelo has choosed the lowest purse.

Canelo vs Jermall Charlo 4th May 2024 in Las Vegas
|This is already confirmed, right?

People would be more interesting if he'll choose to fight a boxer that could give him a decent challenge. If the fans would choose, for sure they'll want Benavidez for him, so not only he'll cash out a huge paycheck but it would also lift his legacy more if he wins.

Not sure about that as there are news that Canelo has cut ties with PBC after just 1 fight on this contract. Maybe it includes that he can go out if he doesn't want the fight that he is being offered by PBC.

And we thought that he will be fighting David Benavidez, and that's what PBC wanted for him. But he says no, and with that he might be looking for Berlanga and work with Match Room boxing. But let's hear it from them as for sure they will make it official in the next following days.

Wow, that's bad news. So, Canelo just wants to go on his own so he will not be pressured, and instead will just try to cherry-pick to boost his wins and then retire eventually? There must be a reason for his decision, but whatever it is, it's not looking good for his legacy. Boxers nowadays, especially those who have popular names, can already dictate what they want to do because they know if they leave, there will be new doors that will open, since either way they can still make money promoting a popular boxer like him. However, the concern here for the fans is that Canelo, by saying no to a boxer that could give him good competition, is not a warrior. In short, a warrior would fight the best even if he is not sure he will win.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 29, 2024, 02:07:28 PM

Regarding the ROS vs TNT, what a win, Clarito sink the last shot for the win.

Pogoy, Oftana, Aurin, and Castro were the top performers. This guy Aurin is the new name, he is getting the trust, he could be a starter in the long run.
The key to that win is because they were sharing the ball very well. And their 3-point shooting percentage is high; they hit 40% in that game. It was a close game, and I thought ROS would be able to win, but TNT wouldn't allow that, especially with Castro who is already back. Last season they struggled since Pogoy needed to rest, and Castro was out, but now they are complete and healthy, so they are expected to make it to the playoffs.

That has been their kind of play, they focus more on offense that's why they have a lot of attempts outside. Maybe because they don't have a dominant big man so they try to utilize more their advantage, and that is the outside shooting. They have the quickness especially with Castro being the PG, that would really help them alot against a team that has a very dominant big man like the SMB, Ginebra, and Magnolia.

Well, if they are like the Warriors, it will be risky if their shots are not falling. They better be flexible and make the right adjustments depending on their opponents. If they face the SMB, which also has a lot of great 3 point shooters, and their 2nd unit is very deadly, I doubt they'll last 7 games in a series.

They were successful against ROS because they shot 40% from the 3point area, but can they duplicate that against SMB or Magnolia, the teams that played in the Finals last season?
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: February 28, 2024, 09:28:25 PM
I'm expecting more hype and positivity in the community now. It is a normal situation to see when the price of Bitcoin surges high but must not be fully confident that it will take it easy and continue to pump for new ATH instead, prepare for some corrections.

Currently, the price of Bitcoin has reached $60k + already, and people are happy with the outcomes of their investment. I'll be expecting now for FOMO, some will buy and some will sell. Well, that is why it works but those who can still hold longer until the new ATH high comes will gain more profit.

277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Technical Analysis Really Work? on: February 28, 2024, 01:17:15 PM
Technical Analysis has its purpose but for some reason, it was a failure for some traders because of the wrong basis of analysis. It was not just price charts but also we consider their news and market events as they are also influential on the market trend. Of course, there is no such thing as perfection but at least doing this right will give us a chance to earn rather than trade with no basis.

Of course, it never works for all traders because not all are using the same trading pairs and not all are doing this at the same time. It is exactly to ask why some make a profit while some have a loss, it is because not all have the same idea and strategies, and it varies on their actions and decisions.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too advanced to get into Bitcoin now? on: February 27, 2024, 09:44:45 PM
Cryptocurrency prices have increased by 118% compared to last year. Similarly, prices are increasing by almost 83% in the last 04 months. The dramatic history price of Bitcoin peaks and the recent buzz around its upcoming "halving" its only fair to pose the most obvious question in front of us that-
Did the Bitcoin flight already leave investors? or is there still time to buy a ticket?

I think we need to accept the fact that Bitcoin is one of the great investments right now. It has become too popular now creating more attractions for the community and encouraging them to invest as well. Of course, we will probably be asking why we didn't see and invest in Bitcoin 10 years ago making us regret and think we are too late for this but I guess, we need to stop this kind of thinking because we can no longer bring back the time. Instead, we do it now while still having time before halving and new ATH. Believing that Bitcoin is potentially growing more, even buying at the current price still gives us profit.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 27, 2024, 02:20:08 PM
Right, that stigma has stuck with us, Filipinos still doesn't forget how Manny Pacquaio was robbed by Jeff Horn fighting in his native Australia. And so we can't really take that out of the equation every fight that it scheduled on that country specially in this case as it will be another Filipino fighting. Nevertheless, it will be totally in the hands of Gaballo. He should come here as the aggressor as he is the the one going to travel in that country and that he shouldn't rely to the judges to win this fight. Yes, he has the power to knockout Moloney and so he should be going for that in this fight.

The pressure is high for Gaballo since there are currently no Filipino boxing champions on the list. He could be the first to become a champion after the listing became empty. Ancajas failed, so now he should take the responsibility to uplift our country in the boxing world. This is another chance for him; he needs to have a convincing win so he could start chasing his dream. Just like Takuma Inoue, who recently defended his belt, Gaballo is also inspired to become a champion, and maybe someday we will see Gaballo vs. Inoue, and hopefully, Gaballo will be able to avenge his fellow boxer who fell to the hands of Inoue.

I think the expectations are not too high since he isn't a champion; he is just a challenger in this context. Maybe "inspired" is the right word to use, but if he were to fail, there's no blaming him as he tried his best. It's just that our boxers now may not be as good as during the times of Pacman. Just like during the fight of Ancajas, I'm still optimistic that one Filipino will finally become a champion this year. By the way, if Gaballo loses, we still have Magsayo who has a chance to become a champion again but in a different division.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 27, 2024, 01:52:45 PM
New York Knicks vs. New Orleans Pelicans

New Orleans Pelicans [1.75] - Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum are unhealthy for this game and have a potential that they can not play this game while Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, and OG Anunoby can not play for this game so there is a disparity for the team to lose this one, while the New Orleans even though there is no Zion Williamson can still manage to win if they have Brandon Ingram and Jonas Valanciunas to the team so my pick for this game are the New Orleans Pelicans winning this game.

I guess it's wise to wait for an update, as these two players who are now listed as questionable are starters for the team. Without them, the NYK might struggle against the Pelicans. Although the Knicks are on a back-to-back game, it's a home game where they have an impressive record. I like the Pelicans actually, but I won't bet this early. I'll wait for the latest update, and I might get a high handicap once these two players listed as questionable are officially out.
