261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: February 29, 2024, 12:48:13 PM
A lot are rooting for Gaballo to pull an upset and bring home a title for the country. I for one is also hoping for an upset but I always vote what my mind says. I say Gaballo only has a punchers chance here. Moloney is capable of scoring a knockout too but he also has decent skills while he is already fighting at home and is also the defending champion. Gaballo is used to winning by knockout and is only fighting once a year since suffering his first defeat at the hands of Donaire and he might gassed out in the later rounds if he cannot knockout Moloney in the first half.

It's true, we will support our Filipino boxers no matter what, but if we will decide without emotions, I think some of us here are going to vote or bet on Moloney. Although I think Moloney has been in some crazy wars, I think he might still pull the trigger and will destroy our very own Gaballo. But it's going to be a war, I don't see Gaballo easily giving up his dreams unless it will be a body shot that he can't recover.

So he will be looking for a early knockout, but he should be ready for a grueling 12 round fight if necessary and training to have a lot of gas tank that can last him the full distance. If he faded in the latter rounds after dominating Moloney early, it will be a tough lost for him.

It's sad that the sport that is producing the most and the best in the country is not getting the support it deserves. Even Manny Pacquiao has more budget and attention to the other sport than boxing that brought him from rags to riches.

Gaballo definitely has to train harder although this could  be too late to make huge adjustments. Gaballo will probably push early and try to score a knockout but pretty sure Moloney knows it. Moloney will fight backwards and will use his skills if Gaballo goes for the knockout early.

It would be interesting if he will just give Gaballo the fight that he wanted, a toe-to-toe fight will make this very interesting. The strategy of Gaballo is very obvious as he will just attack like Sultan, and since Moloney doesn't have a high knockout power ratio, he might just lose on points if he will not match the aggressiveness of the challenger. I'm seeing maybe he'll use the same strategy Inoue has used against Ancajas, but Gaballo will be fully conditioned here, that's for sure.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: February 29, 2024, 11:20:53 AM

Ryan has a history of mental breakdown before and that's why he quit for a while before making a comeback and taking a new trainer in Goosen. However, when he lost to Tank Davis, the switches again, this time he is under the tutelage of Derrick James who trains Errol Spence and a bunch of others.

Haney could use Ryan's weakness to his advantage. I hope he'll do some trash-talking too so Ryan will be distracted going into the fight. Well, as for technique and skills, the edge all points to Haney, so there's no reason here to take a higher risk by betting on Ryan when we know he will not win. The choices here would only go down as to whether Ryan will be knocked out or will lose in 12 rounds. I think the last option is more likely to be the scenario.
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isn't trading almost like gambling? on: February 28, 2024, 11:20:52 PM
Trading seems a lot like gambling to me. I may be wrong in the opinion of many that's why I apologize first but I have observed many traders who have come here and lost everything and many have gone from zero to the top. I have also seen many people lose everything and then get it back which is unimaginable. So for the above reasons trading seems like a gamble to me but trading can never be a gamble.
To recover lost things after losing everything he had to be very patient here. My knowledge in trading is almost nil but from my observation, I say it is possible to move up from here too but one has to utilize time and opportunity one has to be patient.

Not because people are losing down to zero meaning they are gambling because in every investments there are losses so meaning everything is gambling? so why do we need to trade when this is a complete gambling?
never lead your way into wrong perception meaning don't just jump into conclusions when you did not even experienced being a trader because you are just giving your observation but not an experience, because indeed that you can lose in trading but at least the risk is very little than what you can lose in gambling that mostly just pure luck even how hard to studied (not unless this is sports betting that has skills and knowledge)
Trading and gambling can both drag us down into zero if we are not knowledgeable on what we are doing. Both have the risk to lose so if we are not aware of it, we will definitely lose a lot. However, the good thing about trading is that you can develop certain skills and strategies that will make you more inclined to profits and control your losses. With good trading experience, it will help you lessen the risk and improve the chances of winning your trades. With gambling, all depends on luck. You can be knowledgeable and skillful on what you are playing, but if you are out of luck, you will still end up losing your funds unfortunately.

OKC -10... let's keep them rolling.
Pelicans -3..NYK back to back, pelicans fresh pa.
Dallas +4.5
Hawks -2... bad road team ang Jazz.

Galing, lahat yan panalo.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 28, 2024, 12:35:28 PM

Just the same thing over and over, if there's a rumor we might notice changes from how the player play the game, maybe there's already a negotiation between him and boss Al' as we noticed how good he was with CTC's system, maybe chances to get his service for the Brgy might be possible, good replacement for LA in case he choose to retire and focus with his coaching career.

Playing with SMB, if that's a trade, who would they trade for Chris Newsome? It would be easier for him if he transferred to the sister team of Meralco, which is TNT. I think they need someone like him, someone who can play defense, as TNT isn't known for being particularly defensive; they tend to focus on running the ball and shooting from outside. Anyway, let's wait for the development of that rumor. Currently, it's TNT vs ROS, and the game is almost tied after the first half, with the score at 51-50, ROS taking a 1 point lead.

267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see BTC at ATH before the year ends? on: February 27, 2024, 11:57:37 PM
I've watched BTC go from 23k to 52800...
I want to believe you bought too before now. $23k–$30k was a good place to get in. It's evident now that the bus is already on motion.

Quote
do you think BTC will hit ATH this year?
Nope, I don't think ATH will be this year but I do know that Bitcoin will beat its own record this year. I won't be scandalized if that even happens before halving in April. Previous ATHs were recorded the year after halving and that's what I'm counting on this bull season. It's more likely to be in 2025 than this 2024 which is the halving year. Check past records.
The problem here is we can’t actually tell if that’s already the new ATH. Surely, today’s price movement tells that it will definitely break the previous bitcoin ATH, but we don’t know yet when it’s going to happen, as much as we can’t tell exactly when the new ATH will arise in the market. But one thing is certain, if bitcoin price moves consistently in an upward motion, then we will achieve faster our most awaited new all time high.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: February 27, 2024, 11:29:09 PM
The future's a mystery, even for crypto. Bitcoin might moonwalk to Mars, or, you know, not. Past wins don't guarantee future trophies. Investing is all about taking calculated risks, but don't go YOLO like it's the last pizza slice. Research, understand Bitcoin's wild swings, and only invest what wouldn't make you cry if it vanished faster than a magician's rabbit. FOMO is real, but don't let it cloud your judgment.

Putting all your eggs in one basket, even a shiny Bitcoin basket, ain't the smartest move. Spread things out across different investments like stocks, bonds, maybe even a real estate taco stand – diversification is your friend. Regretting missed opportunities stings, but dwelling on it won't help. Learn from it, do your research, and make informed choices for the future. New opportunities pop up like mushrooms after a rain, so don't get stuck in the "what if" trap.
Nothing is certain in this world, as they can be profitable today but suddenly lost their value tomorrow. Even bitcoin can drop to zero value when we least expect it. Same goes with other investments as well. However, if you know how to utilize your funds in those highly potential investments, you can still be in great benefits in the future. Diversification is the key. Be open to all great investments around you and DYOR. That’s the only way you will know how to handle and manage its individual risks, and never put all your eggs in one basket, but diversify.

More winners give more fun to participants. I'll try to join this contest; good thing the deadline is on March 5, 2024. Although I missed the announcement earlier but since there's still plenty of time to participate, I'm sure I have a chance to win, but I'm not aiming for the number 1 spot, LOL.

Has any gambler here already hit x1000 in a crash game? The biggest I experienced was just x100, so if that happens again, $10 is ensured.

Aiming for the #1 is fine as long as you are ready with the risk, crash game can be so hungry some time when we see high multiplier rarely.
As I said previously, by participating alone can give you at least $25 as long as there will be no more than 10 participants.
Based on some other crash contest in this forum, usually there are less than 10 participants so the contest by justcasino with 10 prizes is like giving guaranteed money back Smiley
I can be wrong because there can be more than 10 participants if many members here look at the good chance in this contest.

But with this ample amount of time given, we can start making bets already from the beginning so there's a chance we could hit a big multiplier. With this also, we can expect that more participants will join. However, there are some limits for us, especially if we are not doing it on a regular basis. If we are unlucky, our bankroll will be easily drained.

It’s very hard for them to solve problem because they too much scam accusation from the past and currently. They try to solve everything like Betnomi and BC.Game did but they failed to deliver due to volume of scam accusations that keeps accumulating while they don’t want to fix anything that will resolved through paying the victims.
They didn't try to solve anything and just pretended that they were trying to in order to lure in more victims from this forum as some sort of last ditch attempt which clearly failed. That's proper karma basically.
Probably their attempted didn't work why they ar not here anymore. And when they left, they leave some of the forum account getting red tagged which will stay forever becauuse they promoted a known scam casino.

Let us keep an eye on the accusations some are doing about Betnomi not paying back the biggest amounts yet, in case there is some base to those accusations.
BC.GAME is in the clear, but Betnomi is not in the clear yet. There are way safer alternatives out there.
So this is not complete yet? Why did they marked their thread as "SOLVED", they should have put "PARTIALLY SOLVED", just to make it proper.
271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is sharing insights the key to better trading? on: February 26, 2024, 11:57:21 PM
You know, trading strategies are the backbone of how any trader approaches the market. Whether you're into day trading or future trading, a good strategy gives you structure and a framework to make informed decisions.

I agree, that the shared trading strategies of many successful traders help you think how important it was. But the question is why some traders have never been successful even following experts or successful traders. Maybe you are right that it was the backbone of trading but so many factors affect the end result of our trades - emotions and behaviors. Perhaps, these things cause major losses for many traders and even those having deep knowledge of trading but if we have been influenced by our emotions and bad behaviors, we ain't go far but end shortly.
Trading strategies and insights will always be helpful most particularly to novice traders. They need to see and hear it most often so that their motivation to trade and be successful on it will stay high. However, being a trader is not only concern with knowledge and development of skills and strategies, being patient and being in controlled of emotions also contribute a bigger outcome in trading. Without these, trading seems to end up like gambling wherein losses and mistakes will always be inevitable.
272  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make everybody to win in their crypto trading? on: February 25, 2024, 11:46:23 PM
you are winning with your trades because some are losing with their trades, vice versa. Trading is a game of opportunity.
Exactly. One is supposed to lose to give way for the other to win, and that is not only for trading but even in gambling as well. If all traders are going to lose or win, I think the motivation will not be as high like now. However, one thing is certain, if you don’t want to trade and lose a huge amount, then don’t trade with a large capital. You can still be at loss but you can always chose to reduced or minimize your loss.
273  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaWin.com | The First WEB3 Casino on: February 24, 2024, 11:45:52 PM
Additional input on this recent win. The winner just spend 0.2ETH on his 2106 entries which is insane ROI for him. This is the beauty of luck based competition since anyone has a chance the big jackpot compared to wager based that usually whales dominate the game.

At the current exchange rate, that was only $597.56 USD, so winning a huge $90,000 for him/her is a life-changing win. Making over 2,000 entries and spending over $500 in bets is not everyone's cup of tea, but as they say, you can never win huge money if you don't risk big. That justifies it and would conclude that there's nothing impossible in gambling when luck is beside you.

Crash Contest is live- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5485946.0

Grab your fair share.

Kindly change the game next time if there is a plan to have another crash contest, the game by bgaming is not that good because players cant set automatic cash out if we want to hunt bigger multiplier than 10x.
Aviator by Spribe is better choice than Space by bgaming IMO, of course it is just a suggestion because maybe there is a specific reason from your side to choose JustSpace as the game for the crash game.
Good thing here is the contest provide 10 prizes, great chance to win at least $25 with low multiplier like 10x or maybe the minimum multiplier 5x because I think there will be no more than 10 participants.

More winners give more fun to participants. I'll try to join this contest; good thing the deadline is on March 5, 2024. Although I missed the announcement earlier but since there's still plenty of time to participate, I'm sure I have a chance to win, but I'm not aiming for the number 1 spot, LOL.

275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What can I do to be successful in trading with my small capital on: February 24, 2024, 10:47:01 PM
do i need to an expert in trading before someone will be successful.

How much amount for you considered as to be successful? There is nothing like being successful in trading. Human needs never come to an end. You will always be hungry for more profit. But as you stated you have small bankroll, then i would suggest you to gain knowledge first. Watch videos, do demo trades and gain confidence. Once you become familiar with the market, dive into it by taking smaller risks. In this manner you can make good profits.
I couldn’t agree more. Success in trading is never certain, and as much as you aim to succeed, the amount of profits will never serve you contentment but you will always long for bigger profits, and that’s normal since we are greedy in nature. Now, if you decide to trade at a small risk with small capital, how sure you are that you won’t lose them in the end. My advice is to seek knowledge and skills first before you jump into trading. Trading itself requires a long term preparation, and with that long term planning, there’s still no assurance that you will end up winning.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 24, 2024, 10:06:09 PM
Perhaps, we are the new kings in Asia after winning the title in the Asian Cup. We are now very competitive and can beat giant teams like China, as well as other strong teams like Japan and Korea. Regarding the betting odds, they are still not available at this time, and I could conclude that we won't be able to make a bet on this game. It's alright, I guess, as long as we can watch and enjoy it.

After this game, if they can win and achieve a 2-0 record in the qualifier, they can go back to their leagues,\
We will find out tonight if they could take another dominating win, but for me, even if it's a close game, a win is still a win, and that is something I would be happy for our national team. We haven't seen them this good in the past; that was many years before Coach Chot finally gave up the job or TNT as well because it is now SMB that is taking care of the job, and the journey has been impressive so far.

and maybe the PBA will also resume soon.

As seen in https://pba.ph/schedule,, the first game will start in February 28.

I hope that is final as sometimes the schedule in their website is unreliable.

And this is backed by the news, https://pba.ph/news/season-48-phl-cup-opens-wednesday-nas-new-pba-venue

Quote
IN less than a week, PBA Season 48 hostilities resume with the kickoff of the Philippine Cup pitting Terrafirma versus Converge and NorthPort opposite NLEX at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo on Feb. 28.

It's the Philippine cup, or the All Filipino Cup (correct me if I'm wrong) which means no import is allowed, this is another exciting conference, expect a low scoring game on majority of the games.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: February 24, 2024, 08:58:25 PM
There are confusions as to whether this exhibition fight is going to happen or not. At first this was just a rumor but then I read some news that Pacquiao actually revealed that a negotiation is happening away from the media for this fight. But then Mayweather came out all of a sudden accusing the Pacquiao camp of revealing what was agreed in the contract to be kept secret until it is officially announced. So now it seems the negotiations are falling apart. We will hear in the coming days whether this will push through or not.

Just believe that it will push through. Mayweather doesn't need to do that; he knows he's getting a huge amount of money in this fight, so he'll make this happen. What we read are just some rumors trying to hype the fight more. They know it will attract the crowd, but knowing Mayweather, he is good at attracting the attention of the fans, either loyal to him or his haters. This guy is undoubtedly very good at marketing a fight in a unique way.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 24, 2024, 08:32:05 PM
There are many types of Bitcoin investors, some invest for long-term holdings, while others invest for short-term holdings. But one thing is true, those who invest in Bitcoin for short term are never able to achieve anything big. On the contrary, they face more losses.
It's not a precise rule. There are exceptions. We just advise people into investing for the long term, because we know this market is unpredictable on short run, therefore unexpected dumps and dips may happen anytime without further notice. So, investors have to be prepared to hold for long periods of time, if necessary. However, a lucky investor can start his BTC investment on the exact moment Bitcoin begins to skyrocket, therefore he won't have to wait for too long until selling his coins for profit. It's a hypothetical example of big profit on short term.

In the end a short term investor can make the same profit a long term investor is making. It all depends the moment they began investing in Bitcoin. For long term investors, the worst case is when they have made their Bitcoin purchases during previous ATHs, what means they have to hold for years until being able to profit from their investments.
Yes, there’s no rule that says invest in bitcoin for long term, so whether you like it short term or long term, the important thing is you are investing what you can afford to lose. However, majority do prefer invest in bitcoin for long term most especially that we can’t predict how its price moves in the market. So in order not to lose and sell at losses, just invest when prices are in dips. Although its price is always a good buy, but the challenge gets more high if you enter at a bullish market so you have to wait for years to be able to sell in profits.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - February 24 on: February 24, 2024, 03:07:22 PM
Sultan might be too overconfident coming into the fight. His style is so predictable; all he does is just attack and pressure his opponent. Unfortunately for him, he matched up with an unknown but powerful boxer. Maybe that would give him a lesson to learn. Next time, he should be careful; everyone makes mistakes, so they need to learn from that.

This is his first loss via KO, and that is from a fighter that has 4 wins and 1 loss, but all his wins are via KO. Sultan should have respected him.

https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/1096530

Yeah, he was, and I don't blame him for that since that has been his style, and it worked for him. The timing was just good for the Japanese, so he got the victory, and sure, the fans are rejoicing since all their boxers are successful, especially Inoue, who is the defending champion. Ancajas has nothing to be ashamed of; although he lost, he had the experience to be a world champion, and for me, that's already a big success for him. We just have to be realistic here that Pacman is just one of a kind of breed as a boxer, so we can't compare the current boxers to his achievements, and it's okay to lose; that's part of the game.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 24, 2024, 02:21:51 PM
Ugly lost by the Suns against the Rockets, they take a early lead, but was not able to sustain it and then the Rockets take a double digit advantage. So it's time for the Suns to climb back and so they did, but they were outlast by the home team.

Bol was instrumental as Nurkic didn't play in this game with 25 points. The Suns could have make it though, and it's a battle of free throws in the last 8 seconds of the game. Booker hits 2, then Jabari on the other end. They fouled Durant, but he missed the first attempt and then had a violation in the second. Fred shoots for the violation but he missed as well. 114-110 for Houston. Lost my bet as I took the Suns -1.5 here.  Angry

Me too; I bet on the Suns with a -3.5 handicap. Because they lost their last game against the Mavs, I think they will try to win this game on the road. The Suns are 6 games away against the 12th-seeded Rockets. So with that, I think the Suns will get this win easily, but that's not what happened. The

Nurkic's absence was a major factor in this loss, as the Suns don't have someone to get rebounds and exchange bodies with the Rockets' front court.

The Rockets are very hungry to win because they were struggling before the All-Star break. So when they are back with fresh legs, they played a tired Suns team that is undermanned at the same time, and they were able to take care of business. I thought that the Suns were going to win easily since they started strong, but slowly the home team came back and beat the Suns in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. The Suns, although they came back, still fell short, losing by only 4 points.

Quote
Suns are getting outrebounded by the Rockets most of the time. I don't know if it's because of the young legs the Rockets have or if the Suns are too tired because it's their back-to-back game and they have no rest. The Suns get the lead in the first quarter, but the Rockets flip the script in the second half. The Suns get it closed in the fourth but fall short in the last seconds.

I don't see them being outrebounded because if we check the statistics, the Suns had 58, while the Rockets had 54.

Nurkic and Beal are both out, two significant players for the Suns. Good thing they didn't have a blowout loss.
