1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 31, 2022, 01:45:12 PM

Honestly,  I'll lost in game 2 it because I'll betting on ginebra and this upcoming game 3 I'll bet again for the ginebra team as I think that they can dominate again those opponent cause all they need is a tight defense and a good rotation of the ball then they will win. also I believe in local players who can contribute well in the game three. CStand and aguilar with brownlee can do good in the paint area and other local can contribute by shooting outside.

There's always a chance to bounce back, and that is in game 3. Thompson should be shooting well so they will be able to spread the floor very well, last game, it was only Brownlee who are shooting well, others seem lost because of the tight defense of the Bay Area.

Coach Tim is probably cooking something in game 3, and I want to see that surprise, so let's get on the home team and the underdog at the same time.

They need to lean on each other while inside the court, just like how they play the visiting team last game 1, they need to be a 2-way player when inside the court, both offense and defense should be working right for them, coach Tim needs to find ways to remind his squad to work and keep aiming for the win, Bay Area adjust well and Ginebra needs to answer a good counter with what the Dragon did last game 2.

I'll be on the Gin kings side this upcoming game 3, I believe that they will show good adjustment to win the game.

They need to help each other like what they did in game 1, that's the best recipe for the win. In game 2, they had the defense but they lack on the offense, Brownlee alone cannot carry the team because the Bay Area Dragon's import is also as good as him, or even better.

1263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie I stay off shitcoin and it paid off, Bitcoin is the king. on: December 29, 2022, 09:58:24 PM
After I started my Bitcoin holding journey a few months ago,
At that time, my close friend Sam! also have some capital he want to put away in cryptocurrency, and I advised him to buy Bitcoin instead of an altcoin. But instead of him to have a long-term potential mentality, he was looking for a quick profit so he filled up his portfolio with shitcoin, while I went in on a single portfolio of Bitcoin and when the unexpected of FTX hack happen the whole market in shamble and his altcoin portfolio have dropped above %800+ but my bitcoin holding still maintains some level of stability.

This gives me more confidence in Bitcoin and newbie who are looking for long-term holding should hold more bitcoin, in their private wallet to avoid exchange, but your knowledge to always have a good entry price.
Bitcoin is definitely the king, and altcoins and shitcoins are just its clones. And most of these altcoins have nothing to be proved in the end, because they eventually lose their value in the process. But for bitcoin, the longer you hold them, the bigger chances of higher returns. And as long as you keep your bitcoin portfolio in your hardware wallet, it will always give you higher level of security too.
There can be no other coins in the market that will definitely replace the position of bitcoin as bitcoin will always be the king and the rest are just its followers. So if you want to maximize your profits and avoid losses by all means, focus on bitcoin but make sure that you are also keeping your coins safety by saving them in your self  custodial wallet.
1264  Economy / Economics / Re: Your way of living the wage what you need to live normal life on: December 29, 2022, 09:31:13 PM
by doing calculations with economic experts they have disvored next prices.

If you live in generally canada you should earn at least 3500 in order to function normally.
Euro zone it's about 3500 EUR
In USA it's varied but If you live in los Angeles or new York it's a 7000$ + for sure
In UK London is more expensive but its about 4000 + for sure.

The goverment should restrict prices of rent for example If you rent out the Property goverment should check what could be the price of rent so to make sure person who rent will not use most of the work salary for rent

If we talking about countries like Norway where food price Are very high then Norway minimum wage should be atleast 100,000 NOK + it's about 10,000$ value.

Business who dont comply with minimum wage rules should get highest penalty and not allowed to operate anymore.

If person have more skills and experinces then salary should go up immediately otherwise penalty for company.

If we do this then instant paradize all around the world
Yes, the best advantage is always given on the workers or employees so if this will be the norm, then we can always lessen poverty all over the world since every worker is well compensated based on his experience and skills. But in my country, it’s hard to expect something like this because the government will never push the companies to give constant salary increase, as long as they are following the minimum wage policy, that would be fine. And so the people will always struggle in finances especially with the inflation that took all the goods prices to increase.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin before the banks and governments do on: December 29, 2022, 08:57:20 PM
Banks and governments buying BTC may never be a world wide thing, there may be some governments that would hoard BTC for their own reasons we may never know of, but that number will be very small and of little importance. Think of it, with the problem of inflation and other critical economic problems plaguing many nations, most of them living in poverty and can't provide anything for their citizens, buying BTC should almost be off the cards for them.
But we don’t hold assurance of that, as most of the government officials are greedy and would want to take advantage on every asset that gains highly valuable, and bitcoin is not an exception. So we should not be totally carried away when they say avoid bitcoin because it will only put us into misery and debt, because the truth is those big whales in the crypto market are actually the big officials in the government that have invested huge amount for their own satisfying profits.

Hello there?
As a brand-new member of this community, I am really happy to have found it and eager to meet new individuals who can inform me about Bitcointalk.org.
As they say, "a single drop of water cannot make an ocean," I am eager to learn from anybody who is willing to help a brother and expose me to this platform. I recently joined Bitcointalk.org and now I realize there are many things to comprehend on this topic that I can't achieve on my own.
You are in the right tract. The people in the forum will always be happy to extend their knowledge and understanding on the different topics concerning bitcoin and cryptocurrency. But you also have to do your part. Do a lot of reading and make a good research too not only in the forum itself but even to some other resources that will give you ideas about cryptocurrency. After all, cryptocurrency is not new at all, everything are spread all over the internet but always look for legit information from viable resources.
1267  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: December 28, 2022, 09:43:58 PM
That's quite inconsiderate. Can you imagine many people don't have the luxury to invest because at the end of the month they only have debts left?

The richer you are, the more risk you can afford to take without going hungry or homeless when your investments fail.
Poor people can’t hardly afford to invest not because they don’t want to, but because they have no spare money to invest. And even if they do have the money, they will surely not going to invest it in a highly volatile investment as it doesn’t guarantee secured profits. Unlike physical investments like opening a small food business or a mini convenient store, they can see sure profits from that as long as the business is properly managed.
1268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: December 28, 2022, 08:58:25 PM
Those who've seen previous bear markets, survived several winters, please share some hope and courage.
This is not the end, right? Smiley
Of course this is not the end, better days are coming. But for us to get there, then we should gain more patience and understanding on the current market so that we can still make right decisions despite of seeing others panicking and selling their coins. And the best decision would be to accumulate more bitcoin than altcoins. That way, we know for sure that we’ll be in huge profits when it’s time for bullish market to take over the market.
1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very thankful for what bitcoin has done for me. on: December 28, 2022, 08:35:41 PM
It is true that many people working in Bitcoin have become very independent. I have been working on this bitcoin for five long years. But from here also I earned a lot of money and I was able to run my family comfortably. But I lost the most by investing in some things. Investing in Bitcoin will never destroy it will recover sooner or later and you can expect to make a profit. Never buy altcoins and make a long-term investment. Because altcoin once the market goes down, it cannot be brought back to the previous position. However, always invest in Bitcoin as your investment will be safe.
Bitcoin has done so much good for us, because we believe on it and we take calculated risks. But for those who neglected it, surely they will never had the same experience with us. With bitcoin, I was able to put more colors into my life since I became financially independent too and able to do whatever things I want and need. However, let’s also consider that bitcoin is not just all about financial profits and stability, it’s more on a currency that will give us freedom from traditional fiat and centralized banks. And we can achieve it once bitcoin will be globally adopted in the near future.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 26, 2022, 09:59:12 PM
Even some casinos have licenses, they're not exempted of being a scam. Especially those that have tokens and investment options like putting it on their bankroll.
You really have to be vigilant against them because you'll never know that they just made them look good through a license but their bad intention is still there.
If they have a legit license then you can easily sue them since you have their information submitted to Curacao so they can get the license. Many gamblers prefer to gamble on a licensed site for the security purposes but of course that doesn’t guarantee that a site will be goo always, sometimes they will experience some issues as well but as long as they continue to solve it, that site can still be good just don’t put too much money on any site if you are not confident about it.
You have a point. Not all licensed casinos are going to be honest in all they do, there are still some hidden agendas in some of those that are used to take advantage of the gamblers. That is why regardless of those casinos  are licensed or not, legit or fake, gamblers should always take the utmost care and protection they need to do to their funds. And that is to gamble only on the amount they can afford to lose, and never go all in betting as it’s always take bigger risks especially if you do it in a not secured casinos.
1271  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 26, 2022, 09:35:55 PM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?
As long as you make a living, regardless of your income, if you have the highest desire to save, you will always make things possible so you can really save. That is the mindset of all successful people that have gone a long way of saving even if they are not making such huge income from their own respective jobs. But we all know saving is a must, it’s just that people are more on spending than saving, the reason why they have no left penny anymore for saving.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 25, 2022, 11:29:22 AM

edit:
With 2 minutes left, it's money in the bag for Ginebra. Dragon's 3's were not falling for them as usual while Scottie Thompson doing the damage in the third. Hope the Dragons will adjust on the next game.

Same outcome during their game in the regular season, I guess Ginebra had already found a way to limit the 3 point shooting consistency of Bay Area. Well, can't be too confident since it's just a game 1, this is a best of 7 series, so it's sure a long one.
Yes, I didn't expect that actually as I was thinking they were able to make the right adjustment already.
Bay Area was leading in the 1st quarter and early 2nd quarter but once Ginebra took the lead, they already owned it like they know already what Bay Area will be doing.

What would happen in game 2? Are they going to play Powell already?

We have to wait for the announcement, if he is already 100% healthy, then maybe we will see him playing, but in that way, they would also lose their dominance inside.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GINEBRA BETTERS, THEY ARE THE UNDERDOG, SO IT MAKES THE RESULT BETTER.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 25, 2022, 10:17:49 AM
It's amazing how the Lakers can lose an "easy" game. The performance that the Hornets are having during this season is low (9W - 24L), even so LA managed to lose the game, but at the same time this victory was due to the Hornets players, in which 3 players scored more than 20 points.

Still no Davis, so they are vulnerable to losing, even from a team with no good record this season. Honestly, I didn't watch this game as I don't find it interesting to watch, I was watching the Blazers vs Nuggets, and was thinking Blazers will give the home team a good challenge, but unfortunately they easily melt in the 2nd half.
I believe that "any team" without a big player is a vulnerable team.
Another example was in the previous game, Lakers vs Kings, AD did not play, and the amount of rebounds the Kings had was extremely high.

The game against the Hornets at first was competitive, but as time went by, the Lakers lost pace and the Hornets took control of the game.

Lakers will now face the Mavericks, it will be a competitive game, if the Lakers made some mistakes during the game, I have no doubt that the Mavs will win this game, even more so that the Lakers are without AD.

Not every team I guess because for example, the Bucks loss Middletone due to injury and yet they are still winning games, the same thing would happen if Giannis are out. It's just that, the Lakers are not playing good team work as they are heavily reliant to Lebron and Davis. if you look at Davis's stats when he was still active, sometimes he would drop 40 points or more, so that's a proof that he is getting most of the touches.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 25, 2022, 09:14:46 AM
Regarding Hornets even if they do get Bridges back this year have dug a hole so deep no way they can dig out to get to playoffs but we'll see.

I don't expect either that they will reach the playoffs though, they are not a top team so no expectation at all, what is disappointing is the Lakers have keep losing after a great run, so they aren't consistent without Davis which is a big problem for the team.

Yes and as we have said about the Lakers this season, it's already a dead season for them, very difficult to make the playoff with AD constantly getting injured and then Westbrook coming off the bench and no where the prime Russ where he can average a lot to help and aging Lebron as well.

Lots of good games, like the Knicks vs Sixers, good test for the Knicks against one of the hottest team. And then Boston vs Bucks.

Tomorrow the Lakers will have a tough opponent again, it's the Dallas Mavericks which is a proven playoff team, so I guess we will again see a big win by the home team, and once again the Lakers will struggle to find their offense. The question is, who will stop Luka and Wood, they have good chemistry, Lakers will be having a hard time stopping the offense inside and outside.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: December 25, 2022, 08:56:55 AM
There's no official announcement yet but the good news is that both camps are ready to make this fight happen. Let's keep this thread as the official thread until that big fight will happen. In terms of advantage, it's hard to guess because they are both great boxers, maybe Haney has the advantage but only a slight advantage, not a big deal though.

1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 23, 2022, 08:42:37 AM
Obviously, your health should be a priority, so if trading causes heart problems, you need to leave this activity. What good will trading do if it harms your health? Try to invest in safe coins, try to buy bitcoin for the long term (not financial advice). But health should be a priority, it is much more important than trading.
If you are struggling from heart problem with trading, then try to minimize your trading activity first and encourage more self-control and emotional stability. If it’s still not working, then stop trading and focus on investing and long term hodling with bitcoin. That way, you can still make good amount of profits in time with less hassle and less stress. Of course, health is also our wealth so we need to prioritize it over other money matters.
1278  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your biggest obstacle to achieving financial freedom ? on: December 23, 2022, 08:16:15 AM

Regardless where we live, money is our top priority in order to survive and thrive. Having enough money to fall back on means we are entitled to more choice and possibilities. Like it or not, we are chasing or being forced to chase money in most phases of our life. Financial freedom has been most people's ultimate goal for decades, if not for centuries. To achieve this goal, we will encounter endless challenges. Each of us has a unique life situation so what is your biggest obstacle to achieving it ? I know we can make a long list of problems but there must be one or two primary reasons that really hold you back. This is where we should focus and I would like to hear your story. Thanks.
Lack of funds has always been my biggest obstacle in achieving financial freedom. And since I grow up from poverty, this is not new to me anymore. The reason why I have to thrive more and take advantage of every opportunity that comes so that I can completely eradicate poverty in the future. And I must say, I’m working on it now. It’s just that I have to exert more effort and hardwork today so I can start reaping good amount of profits in time which will lead me to slowly attain financial freedom hopefully in the perfect time.
1279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the entire Crypto Market ever likely to be Scammed? on: December 22, 2022, 09:33:49 PM
Could the entire crypto market ever be a scam?
How much faith do you have about the crypto world?

Can I confidently choose Crypto World to safely store all my hard earned wealth?
Like the bank?

I believe everything is a scam, only with the exception of bitcoin. But even so, it’s still very risky to convert all your fiat into bitcoin and keep it all into crypto. Aside from its being impractical, bitcoin is still not a legal tender that you can use it anytime anywhere. I must say it’s a must to have bitcoins as our investments and for our future pensions, but we need to also save some fiat so that we can still cater to all our basic commodities and services that can only be purchase with fiat.
1280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 22, 2022, 09:16:55 PM
People actually claim to be strong holders that can go against any situation wanting them to sell off some of their bitcoins. The strongest of holders do not just sell at the slightest economic discomfort I know, but I believe everybody has a threshold at which if the pressure surpasses them, they would break into the decision of selling some of their bitcoins to sort the present condition. What kind of situation do you think is enough to pressure you in seeling some of the bitcoins you have been holding. Is family or health challenge enough reason to?
If my family is already in danger, like having some serious health issues, I think that’s enough for me to sell some of my bitcoin even if my target goal price has not yet achieved. Profits are useless without the presence of my family, as i’m into bitcoin investment not only for my own self but definitely for the whole family. And besides, I can always buy again if I have available funds enough to purchase, but with my family’s health, I know they should always be my top priority over money and investments.
