261  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-11-16] $2.3 billion in BTC was withdrawn from exchanges in a month on: November 17, 2020, 11:54:43 PM
That's a nice downtrend that clearly shows that an increasing number of people (and companies) understand how important it is to store their own keys. 2.355 million coins being held currently at exchanges around the world is a huge number still.
Repeating myself here: one day, when the supply shock will hit, people will realize there are enough coins for everyone. Keep stacking sats. Wink

I don't think that all the 2.3 million coins belong to the users. The exchanges themselves store most of their assets and profits in the form of Bitcoin. Larger exchanges such as Binance and Huobi may be holding hundreds of thousands of coins on their own. My guess is that only around 1 million to 1.5 million coins may belong to the users.

Possible since those exchange owners are also anticipating the huge market rise. But it's much better that the huge numbers of coins belongs or split to more people not just those exchanges owners. No one knows how far this big holders will keep storing their assets, the good thing right now is the value are keep rising as supply and demand being followed.

The more holdings that may take place the better results for the current value of coin that still exist around the market. We will expect more as new investors will comes up and start investing after realizing the full potentials of this crypto currency.

I don't think you need to add in exchanges to that number since the keyword here is "withdrawn out of their exchange" meaning users are the ones trying to take them not the exchanges itself. The article even continues saying that it is coming from the reserves of these exchanges. With that being said if exchanges are planning to hodl their Bitcoin I don't think they will withdraw it through this way but they will already have reserves and cold storages doing that kind of work already.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best tools to help with your crypto trading? on: November 17, 2020, 11:31:05 PM
Maybe its safe to say that you are advertising Shrimpy and not really interested about discussing anything? Based on the latest post you have you have given articles that leads to Shrimpy and these articles you have given are simply promoting that these features are all included in their services. What you are doing right now is advertising illegally in the forum. Next time if you want to create a thread do it because you want to discuss or be involve with your own thread not just some kind of way to promote your website.
263  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I suspect that KittieFIGHT is scam on: November 17, 2020, 10:59:45 PM
If they are proven to be the same company I think you are right that they need to give you back the new cryptocurrencies they have relaunch. If there old ones failed the investors the relaunch should be something given for them since the old investors already gave in to the old project that failed. Nevertheless we need to hear their side of the story first maybe we aren't getting something here since a company doesn't disappear and appear all of a sudden with a new cryptocurrency bearing the same name.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 17, 2020, 10:14:53 PM
^^ Maybe they can co-exist like the Blazers, like Lillard and McCollum. Or Paul with handle the ball all the  time as their point guard and Booker as more on the scoring side and it will also take a lot from his shoulder the distribution load. So we might see Booker scoring advantage for next season increase by some margins. As compare to Harden and Westbrook who are pure scorer so it's really hard to put them on the same team.
For the suns to gamble in that trade, they really see something that could help their team, CP3 is not getting any younger while they release a young players in exchange for him. Suns is not going to be a shitty team no more, they have build their dou now with Paul and Booker, I'm hoping both of them will stay healthy so we can see their potential working together in the court.

This trade was kinda questionable for me since the ones they are trading for Chris Paul are players who actually contributed a lot for their success in the bubble. I don't know if this is their idea of keeping Booker but what they did on trading 1 aging star in exchange for some of their best players I don't think this will help them have a better team. For me they should have went with another trade where they will be trading there draft pick plus another player in order to get a star.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can Crypto be Good for Mass Adoption? on: November 17, 2020, 09:22:17 PM
I think you are asking the wrong question here since it is crypto that will benefit from mass adoption and not entirely about the masses benefiting from crypto. But if we go in that road I'll say if crypto is mass adopted then you can expect that people will have another mode of payment available through another form of asset which I think will help a lot when it comes to people having issues regarding the current existing one where you have expensive fees or the inconvenience of KYC.
266  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase account temporary Disabled on: November 17, 2020, 06:58:27 PM
If you are unsure about this I think it is best for you to contact their support because I have seen a lot of custodial wallets have this in their TOS that they temporary freeze your accounts as any transactions coming from gambling websites is one of their terms. It's best to contact them so you can immediately have a solution with them. And based from what I have seen this is something that is not permanent as I think they have it in their terms
267  Economy / Reputation / Re: Binfair.com legit or scam? on: November 17, 2020, 06:09:09 PM
Even if there company is listed on the company house website of UK you will see that their company profile lacks information and the only information of a employee there is from their CEO which also doesn't show enough information on his profile as well, there is also a chance that they just impersonated a legit company in the website and make it look like its theirs. So if I were you I would just avoid using their services for now as for proving their credibility.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin penetrates into $17 000 on: November 17, 2020, 05:17:41 PM
Looking at the prices plainly will just make you predict something inaccurately, with the picture you have given it clearly shows that the volume even if the price is going up it is going down showing us that the demand is going down as well. A price increase with less demand can easily be translated to the rally for being a weak one. Also with no major corrections happening on such a long rally do you really expect for it to go ahead and not take any kind of break?
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After ICO, market has IEO. After DeFi, market has CyberFi. Be cautious! on: November 17, 2020, 01:02:19 PM
What's there to be cautious about? Crypto space is opened for new ideas and they are welcome at any time, we only need to figure out which project team are serious about what they introduced, ICO, IEO, DEFI all have high quality projects backing them up so new ideas are highly welcome.

The projects itself is not what we need to worry about but the ones who are pretending to be projects but in the truth is just scams. That is what the OP is trying to explain here where new projects coming out left and right it will be harder for new investors to see what is real and what are the scams ones that is why we want them to be aware of what they are trying to do to lessen people getting victimized by it.
270  Other / Meta / Re: Auto Delete on: November 16, 2020, 11:17:23 PM
Thing that you suggested is called first world problems Cheesy. Is it so difficult to return after 24 hours and delete your post that you need an automated tool for it? Even if you will forget and won't delete it, nothing fundamentally wrong won't happen.
I'm not against new features added to Bitcointalk, but this one probably would have minimal use and too much effort for theymos to make it.

Maybe it is some kind of OC disorder of some people that they feel uneasy that they have a useless application since there are no available spots. Nevertheless his problem has been given a solution by hilarious which is requesting the mods to delete their own post by using the report to moderator function which I think is better compared to auto-deleting where you still need to wait for 24 hours before something happens.
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Learning from what MicroStrategy CEO Explains about Bitcoin on: November 16, 2020, 10:16:40 PM
...
but I hope it is clear that if there is no bitcoin, more people would have invested in gold, but with bitcoin, some gold glory is being taken, and very possible more people will turn to bitcoin, and later affecting the price of gold, although, it could take a long time. I am predicting people turning more to bitcoin investing and trading in the future.

I beg to disagree with you since like what I said there are different kinds of asset classes and this alone separates the people who will be interested in investing in these kinds of assets since there are investors who are very conservative about their capital and there are investors who wants to take all the risks for their capital. If Bitcoin doesn't exists it doesn't mean all the attention will still be pointed out to Gold or any precious metals out there since there are different assets that have more chance of increasing in value as compared to Gold which is more likely stable, people will most likely head to the stock market and pick emerging stocks if they want companies with the most potential.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain And Sport Industry: Are They An Effective Team? on: November 16, 2020, 09:19:17 PM
Blockchain technology in itself is big so for your ideas it may work but maybe it may not. Like when you said the idea about "fan tokens" I think that this might not be an effective way or something useful for the fans to use for their football clubs what I mean they already have ways to join polls in social media and also have a solid fun club to go with it, issuing something like this token might make them feel that this is some kind of gimmick for them. But for the use of blockchain with regards to improving their system like what you said with the ticketing issue and how to avoid scalpers I think this is one of the most effective ways of applying blockchain technology.
273  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-11-02]Facebook is banning the Bitcoin hashtag on: November 16, 2020, 08:01:25 PM
It's possible it was a mistake or someone's private opinion being projected on the content.

It's a big company and they have people responsible for compliance, political correctness and such.

Maybe this wasn't discussed on the highest level but a low level manager chose that this or that should be censored and when people reacted was forced to make it back the way it was?

It's more related to the scams being promoted in Facebook rather than someone's personal opinion. It similar to how Twitter responded with the hacking and they disabled tweets with Bitcoin addresses. I know everything will be affected but the thing is I think this is their quick solution of removing some scams from happening and protect a lot of people losing money. Maybe this might just be temporary since they are obviously removing some relevant content for their social media.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 - 2020. Better price not yet to come. Be careful on: November 16, 2020, 07:03:23 PM
With the current stats it does look like bitcoin will trade sweet at 20K in the coming days.

The 45 days window is perfect for it to achieve that much trading volume. With the holidays up-ahead many people do trade bitcoin for fun, for investments and part time stuff. This makes it more easier for bitcoin to go upwards and hold the ATH position.

From your graph itself we can make a match the current path is perfect one to reach 19-20k USD rates.  Smiley

Not so fast if you look at the price chart for the volume right now you will see that the volume formed a double top and it only means that there is a chance of reversal going down for the volume, technical analysis formation also applies to other indicators such as volume so don't be surprised if we see lest trade activity going on in the few days. With the price going up and the volume going down the price rally will just get weaker and weaker.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: November 16, 2020, 05:30:53 PM
Official trades will start happening tomorrow and right now I have been seeing a lot of trades which looks like it is official even before the trade date is still a day away. There have been reports that Dennis Schroder will be going to the Lakers for the #28 pick and Danny Green to OKC which I think is really a good trade for the Lakers. One big rumor is also about James Harden going to the Nets which will form the big 3 for the Nets but this thing is still unclear especially when Harden expressed recently that he wanted to stay in the Rockets.
276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Arcticminers.com SCAM Website Review. on: November 16, 2020, 03:14:50 PM
@OP aside from additional screenshots I think you also need to provide other evidence such as the tx id of the transaction to them which I think would be convincing some people here. Right now arcticminers totally deny all of your accusations and this would totally turn around if you give additional evidence with what happened. Aside from the tx id I think the conversation of screenshots will be good, also @articminers aside from totally denying and claiming he is doing a fake review why don't you just solve it by asking his username to see if his transaction is even real.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin movement launches its first limited edition streetware collection on: November 15, 2020, 11:37:21 PM
ABOUT THE BITCOIN MOVEMENT
Launched as an online retail shop that is focused on the culture and mass adoption of Bitcoin

Only 50 hoodies, 125 Hats and 125 T-Shirts will be available.

Focusing on mass adoption yet only releasing a limited number of products for collectors? I'm not hating on them but if they want to name themselves the "Bitcoin Movement" I don't think the way to go is to focus the scarcity of Bitcoin but for the mass adoption and the utility Bitcoin will have in the future. Besides that the number "21 Million" won't be that recognizable for people who don't know Bitcoin so I don't know why they made this as their main print again focusing on the number rather than actually focusing on Bitcoin being more recognize.
278  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Belarusbank will launch a legal service for the exchange of cryptocurrencies on: November 15, 2020, 10:40:08 PM
It might be a good thing but I don't know how will it play out with the current situation Belarus is at, in the past months I've seen news about protests against the government as well as recently I am seeing news that nothing has changes with their situation. Yeah I know people have the option to transfer all of their money from BYN to Cryptocurrencies but the thing is since this is tied to a bank the government will have the power to track it still even if they don't use credit cards so I don't think this is really a good option for them.
279  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should DT members tag accounts that evade the ban? on: November 15, 2020, 09:10:04 PM
Isn't reporting the ban evasion in the meta section the best method to effectively banning the alt account? Since this is an issue about perma-banned accounts I think this should be handled more in the meta section rather than the reputation section especially if a scam hasn't happened yet. Maybe giving a neutral tag for highlighting his ban evasion is good but if you want to completely remove his privileges the best thing you can do is to just report it.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: This rally is driven by institutional investors - what are the implications? on: November 15, 2020, 08:10:44 PM
Assuming if this is true then we all know what they can do as well and that is pull the market down, basically they have a big influence in the market if that is what the article is implying since the capital they have as well as the position they have is already big that can move the prices with their decisions. So assuming that the institutional investors will be more and more in the coming days then they will have more control in the market which is scary to think.
