1241  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make a good Announcement for a new token? on: March 28, 2020, 07:35:37 PM
Why are you asking if you already have one? You created this Medium article today and I think your decision of making your first post as a "giveaway" announcement is already a bad idea. Yeah sure the readers would know that you'll be giving away your tokens but in exchange it will fail to highlight your token itself because people will be focusing on the "free" money they are reading. Your first article failed to even say something about what Tantum Digital is which for a giveaway contest is also another bad move, most of the readers who don't even know what cryptocurrencies are will fail to understand what kind of prizes/rewards your giveaway have for them.
1242  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: South korean allow Crypto |Singapore allows 6 months license free on: March 28, 2020, 05:40:06 PM
Upon carefully reading the article I find it hard to see this as some kind of "exemption" as what the article says it is rather I see this as some kind of deadline for the new payment services act that MSA has established recently. Obviously this already existing entities in Singapore will be operating License-free to begin with since they payment service act is relatively new compared to their existence, the "grace period" they are talking about the article is obviously the grace period for this company to properly file and register in order to obtain the new license to operate in there country.
1243  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk blocked from Russia on: March 28, 2020, 03:15:08 PM
Can someone in the Russian board confirm if Bitcointalk is now part of Russia's Federal List of Extremist Material? Because I know it is one of their methods of banning and blocking websites if they view it as something detrimental to their country. I'm not worried about our fellow Russian members not having direct access to BCT since they can always use vpn to bypass the restriction but what I'm worried about is if this restriction is something even bigger to what we are seeing now, like have they changed their views towards Bitcoin that is why they have blocked the forum to begin with?
1244  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fresh Bitcoin merchants directory & map - Cryptwerk.com on: March 25, 2020, 06:12:52 PM
~snip~

to be honest our idea that the community should take care of updating the data

every crypto user can make a review for a company, positive or negative. and we are monitoring all reviews and make the decision what to do.

in future we want to implement a special interface for content manager, where every day our system will choose 15-30 random companies to check.

but mostly we rely on our users!

This is a good idea but certainly not the greatest. Would you really want that in your service? Like let your user found out if the link/website is working or is trustworthy? It's like you are making them a test subject when it comes to trying out websites in your list. IMO I think you should try out the websites yourselves first before making them available to everyone since there is no guarantee that all websites are working or even safe to use. I personally don't like the idea that I'll be the first one as a customer to try out this websites especially if it lacks trust worthiness and reputability.
1245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Three economic signals that indicate that Bitcoin will see an increase on: March 25, 2020, 04:46:36 PM
I don't think that the author had any clue about investing or at least isn't aware of the current situation. The stock market and other traditional markets have been unappealing for a long time but this time is the best to join and buy stocks and other assets that have been exposed to massive selling since all of them now can be bought at a discount, this is the time when they saying "Be greedy when others are fearful" apply since you can take advantage of it. The article pointed out a lot of thing unfortunately it fails to give a good reason why all the reasons he wrote would translate it from traditional investors shifting to new markets like the crypto market, even now where Bitcoin somehow had a breather it still not the best time to jump on board if you haven't bought it around the sub 5k level area.
1246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 25, 2020, 03:08:19 PM
If we want to see Champions League being played again, we firstly have to see all the European leagues to be played again.
By the time at least one of the leagues is postponed we are not going to see the competition proceeding anymore.

It's not really about the European leagues resuming anymore for us to see if the Champions League will resume, it's all about the status of the European countries part of the Champions League and as of right now I don't think it will be any time soon. Italy and most recently Spain have already overtaken China with their death toll and now UK's spread seems to be worsening and worsening and the worst part is they just have announced their lockdown recently. With all these in consideration you cannot even think about their local league resuming anymore this year if they will continue this kind of pace. Slowing down the infection or having some kind of vaccine as a cure is the only possibility here for all of the leagues and the UCL to resume.
1247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone made money by investing in crowdfunded startups? on: March 25, 2020, 01:38:34 PM
~snip~
I don't know if am wrong but i thought ICO's fall under crowdfunded startups since they are all startup that require some capital to get the project going.  The problem was most ICOs were just scams and made the whole crowdfunding thing in the cryptosphere look like one big hell of a joke.

Technically yes but not all ICOs start literally with no capital. Good examples are ICOs who have experienced people in their team who are known to be part of managing and creating new token/cryptocurrency. Aside from that there are also cryptocurrencies backed by big banks or corporations which cannot really be counted as crowdfunded startups as they do have big money backing them. There are a lot of bad examples out there which I really don't want to mention but my point is not all ICOs are crowdfunded just because they don't have any money backing them.
1248  Economy / Economics / Re: The Corona Pandemic economic guessing game on: March 25, 2020, 11:18:35 AM
If we are thinking about the ones who will have the hardest fall then we can only have one candidate and that is the USA. Their stock market are the first ones to fall as early as the first week of February and the situation of the infection back then wasn't that worst compared to what we have now. They are directly hit because the U.S. companies they have also have big factories in China which have shut down because of the infection. Aside from that we can see that the pandemic is just worsening by the day in U.S. and everyday a lot of people are getting infected. I think the U.S. economy will be crippled because of this pandemic and it will depend on how quick they will recover now.
1249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and illegal activities on: March 24, 2020, 09:41:37 PM
If this was true then it is absolutely ridiculous to think on why the government is always pinpointing the criminal activities involved in the crypto industry as if it was the biggest concern on as acting out a vehicle for crimes to happen. The funny thing about this one is they always left out scams when they are talking about illicit activities they always focus more on money laundering and tax evasion and drug payments and nothing about scams that victimize people within the the industry. It really makes you wonder on why they are pushing on things they really don't know about yet they act as if it is the main threat on the criminal world. Lets just hope this analysis becomes mainstream so that these politicians would shut their mouth about crypto being a tool for crime.
1250  Economy / Reputation / Re: User creating new accounts just to leave fake negative feedback on: March 24, 2020, 08:05:25 PM
Is there anything that can be done?, I can only assume there will be more to come.
/quote]

Nope, if this person only created these accounts just to give you a negative feedback there is really nothing left you can do with it. These accounts are inactive now and they are the only ones who can remove the feedback they have written to you, admins and mods don't even remove retaliatory feedbacks. Listen to what they have said and just ignore those untrusted negative feedbacks since they don't even show by default in your account the feedback they given don't even have a good reference on why they have given a negative feedback to you.
1251  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit cancelled my zcash zec deposit . please help 🤦‍♂️ on: March 24, 2020, 06:23:00 PM
after many tickect admin resole my problem . deposit zec credited now Wink Wink

Follow what blurryeyed have said, since you already have a bad first experience with Yobit and you reading a lot of negative feedback toward them I would advise you to remove your funds in Yobit Exchange immediately, you are really lucky that they have credited your Zcash. Although I don't have any personal experiences with Yobit with my years of seeing bad reports against them I know that they shouldn't be trusted with my money. Also after confirming that this issue with Yobit is already resolved you should also lock the thread now by clicking "lock topic" in the bottom of the page.
1252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has anyone made money by investing in crowdfunded startups? on: March 24, 2020, 05:21:15 PM
Investing on a crowdfunded startups is just like investing in ICOs if you don't do your share of work when it comes to research and background checks you will be bound to lose money or to miss a good opportunity. Remember that this startups are having crowdfunding as they have no capital to begin with so really you must check their project if it is any good and the team behind it if they are someone to be trusted with your money because if you just spot even one red flag you know its time for you to move on and look for another project/ICO.
1253  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-20] Private Italian Bank Enables Bitcoin Trading To Its 1.2 Million... on: March 24, 2020, 04:07:55 PM
First, they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then, what they joined you..

You can't really generalize banks on the negative opinion of some banks in the crypto industry. I know that banks such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and JP Morgan have some negative things to say about Bitcoin but it's only their opinion and they are not speaking for the other banking companies we have, just by searching Banca Sella in Google you will see that they don't have any reported news about them having negative views to Bitcoin. As for the news their opening of such service is really timely especially if you think that a lot of people are now pushing for a lot of none contact activities so maybe Italians have a decent chance on being open to such crypto trading as well as the usage of Bitcoin in there daily transactions.
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] COVID-19 Hits Ethereum Community Conference, Six People Test Positive on: March 24, 2020, 03:21:57 PM
Based from what I have observed in several countries the problem I see here is if the Nation's government hasn't acted out in response to the pandemic for some businesses and organizations they will still try to run their operations normally and call is "business as usual", hate to see these kinds of events and businesses only seeing profit rather than looking out the well-being of their employees as well as there event goers. France only commenced there national lockdown during March 17 so a lot of businesses and events still push through even though they know the danger they have in their country. However we can't really blame this event in particular for them being infected, France already have a lot of confirmed cases even on the first month of 2020 so we cannot really say that this event is the origin of the infection, it's even possible that they are already silent carriers of the virus even before the event started.
1255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help my First Post This Forum on: March 23, 2020, 09:53:04 PM
@U-Trune although there is a 6 minute cool down for newbies with 14 activity and below I still wouldn't maximize it just so I can post more and more. BCT or for any other forum you are or will be part of is not about the quantity of posts you have in that website but it is about the quality of each post you will make for that forum website. Just think about and be constructive on each post you will make rather than just posts just because the 6 minute cooldown is over. Also if you tried to maximize this limit or if your posts basically has short gaps between them you'll be labelled either as a burst poster or a spammer here in the forum so really it wouldn't look good for you especially if you are just starting out here as a newbie.
1256  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk forum make own cryptocurrency ? on: March 23, 2020, 08:42:44 PM
so need more time available another good crypto currency in crypto market.
What is that brand new cryptocurrency going to offer that would make its creation essential for the users of this forum?
What would be the benefit of using that coin compared to Bitcoin or one of the alternatives?

I just looked at his posting history and it seems like he is unsettled on choosing a crypto to buy. He basically is interested in investing in cryptocurrencies and maybe that is why he is interested in buying a crypto if BCT offered such thing. Clearly he didn't think this through and maybe can be counted as a newbie who post first rather than read anything here in the forum. You can also see in his post history now that he have posted and created topics after this which clearly shows he has no interest in this topic at all.
1257  Economy / Services / Re: UNIQUE MINIMALIST LOGO DESIGN VERY CHEAP!!! on: March 23, 2020, 07:21:01 PM
Just a friendly advice on making your services available here. Since you are an artist and you are promoting a digital design service I think it would help if you provided some of your sample work in your OP. Providing samples for other members to see will really help you gain some customers and help them gauge on the ability you have, it also boosts your trust here in the forum. Also since you are a newbie, it means you can't post an image directly in your thread so providing an external link of your portfolio might be your best alternative or you can also provide imgur links of your sample work.
1258  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fresh Bitcoin merchants directory & map - Cryptwerk.com on: March 23, 2020, 05:45:41 PM
You really have a good list per crypto going on here, everything is organized and I can easily locate each category. However one thing that concerns me is, with a large data of websites you have how do you keep these list of websites updated in your website? Do you always check them daily if they are online? And do you do background checks if the websites you have listed have zero records of scams? Because to be honest it is the first time I'm hearing in most of the websites I have seen in your lists for Bitcoin. I really hope you have some kind of monitoring going on for these websites as it will really help make your service much better.
1259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin was never meant to be a hedge against a Global Pandemic on: March 23, 2020, 04:39:52 PM
We have yet to see Bitcoin in a real financial crisis to confirm that it can really be a hedge against all the financial chaos or be a safe haven against losses. Just to clarify Bitcoin was never tested in a financial crisis, it was only born during that time and was never tested with the current price we have. During around that time Bitcoin literally is valueless to a lot of people with a very few demand so really comparing it to the price movements we have now is extremely irrelevant or rather invalid. So what we have seen as of right now is Bitcoin have failed in a pandemic but we haven't seen it thrive in a financial crisis and we have yet to see it, though I believe this will still have the same effect no matter what economic problem we have as long as involves the whole world panicking and needing money.
1260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2020, 04:02:01 PM
^  I think it's gonna depend on the player and his situation.  Take Pogba...  Pretty sure he wants to leave right away once the season has officially ended.  No need to 'raise his stock'.  He's could've really been downing tools imo.  Lol.  Cheesy

Well you can always add disgruntled and unwanted players to the exception but expecting this next transfer window to become a buying spree I wouldn't imagine it from happening especially if teams didn't have earned enough money during this season. The ones selling star players would sell their players below their real market value just to cover up some losses, this will be something big clubs would be waiting to happen since they are the ones who still have money left after this will end.
