Did a little backround check on you and found some solid evidence that you are the real deal in the crypto community , so saying that i think if you desided to launch a coin with such a big premine then you have to have a purpose and maybe you have a good idea or "killer app" to push it to the next level. I cant wait to see the whole picture of your buisness plan, hope to see it in the near future , because i would like to invest, but just not now.
If you take it to an exchange on launch day i wonder what the price will be HuhHuh My buy range is 5-10sat max. But some will say its still to much.

Even 5 sat seems pretty unlikely. There are 100B doge in existence at a price of ~50 sat, so even 5 sat would give this guy's premine a value of ~$1.2M (since market cap of doge is ~$12M). I guess it's possible, but I doubt it.

Pure Scam
yeah cause scammers avoid IPO, ICO, and PoS, they usually start with merge mined coins with no way to cheat...those crafty scammers.

JK is an upstanding member of the community, and his nvidia mining linux distro kopieumtu is used by many of us in the community. He made it available to the community free of charge, no scam, and helped many of us not familiar with linux mine with our 750ti cards. If anything he raised the difficulty on coins he was mining himself like vertcoin, it would have been to his benefit to keep kopieumtu to himself and not release it to the community.  He got nothing out of it, so kind of hard to see how he'd create a merge mined coin to scam the community he has already contributed so much to...

Seriously think a lot of posts in the alt forums are just from scammers pumping their scam shitcoin and trashing legit alts.  Undecided

His premine will take 95 years before the coins emitted through PoW match the premine. He will control more than 90% of coin supply for more than 10 years. Yea, it's nice that he refitted PiMP or BAMT to work with nvidia cards, but why does that make the premise of this coin any less shitty. He promised on reddit some killer feature and that he will distribute his enormous premine, but he gave no indication of what said feature is, and why make a premine just to distribute if you're making a PoW merge-mineable coin? Why not just let the PoW be the distribution? Why trust a single person with practically all the coins that will be in existence for decades, and approximately half the coins that will exist in 100 years? Seems like a scam, or an incredibly stupid design decision if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"There were 100000000000 XRP created at Ripple's inception" ( http://tiny.pl/gmrcd )

Smiley

Ripple also introduced a completely new consensus technology (I'm not defending Ripple, but at least they've got that going for them). You're just launching a mega premined shitcoin and trying to give it some legitimacy by merge mining with one of the older, more respected cryptos.

Don't have an account on Reddit, Tongue maybe I make one when we have a forum. I shared the feedback that I got from coingecko, prime reason to get a higher community score is: Reddit, rest is actually very good. And trading volume:P

i don't see avatars anymore thank god. Speculate! Monero! Who wants more coffee and psytrance?

Hipster-troll-dev GingerAle is too cool for avatars? Maybe I'll start signing all my posts with my avatar and a little ~~jw~~ squiggly surrounded initials.

Anyway, looks like some decent buy support since the release of dice site, but if somebody pulls that 60 btc buy wall on polo, I'm betting we're gonna drop right back to around 0.002.

The solution is the senior pirate distributes one coin to each priate, except the second most senior pirate gets no coins and he keeps M+2-N coins for himself.

...what is his ideal strategy?  Historical precedent?

Lie to the other pirates and tell them that the magical gold coins have an invisible drawing of a new, more powerful god invisibly drawn on them?
2767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: September 16, 2015, 01:30:11 PM
some updated compare of funktionality like this should be present in a nice looking way

http://myrcraft.com/2p0platformtable.html

just to make sure when people talk about bitcoin 2.0
they talk about NEM and know its one of the few soloutions that provide funktionality in that area

Hey are you saying my table is ugly? Tongue

It's really not the prettiest/fanciest, but the info is all there in a simple html table, if anyone wants to fork it, so to speak.
2768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The 2.0 throwdown thread on: September 16, 2015, 12:38:47 PM
Hi jwinterm,

Nice table so far.  Smiley
I like it.

Here are some more things on Nxt.

You can add in centralized apps:
http://melodius.me/
It an itunes type website that used the Nxt decentralized marketplace.

Nxt has also a built-in wallet decentralized Monetary system:
http://nxt.org/about/monetary-system/

The last one is, afaik, an unique feature of Nxt.

Thank you.

Will try to update and add melodius soon, Sebastien256. What's the difference between NXT monetary system and assets in other platforms? Not sure I see distinction...

Where's Maid?

I think it deserves to be in this conversation...

It's not released, afaik. I am leaning towards removing both Syscoin (most advanced features not released) and Crypti (closed-source), as well. I'm skeptical MAID will ever see the light of day, honestly. Hasn't it been under development since like 2006?

kind of interesting that he's published three other books unrelated to crypto prior to this release:

tl;dr, because the launch wasn't fair.

Yes, many people missed the launch. And the train. That is unfortunate.

Train is taking a shit. Maybe you guys should try changing the name again, that might spark some interest.

2774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Who is going to be the crypto ebay? on: September 13, 2015, 04:27:32 PM
BURST has an in-wallet marketplace. You can see what's listed currently at this website:
http://burstcoin.info/market/

ebay it's not, but maybe with some upgrades...
2775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: of course on: September 13, 2015, 03:23:02 PM
Lets talk about better ways to organize giveaways......... Proposals. As long as we keep growing.

I'm not saying I have anything better. I'm much better at complaining than I am at being constructive  Tongue

Maybe though, we could have some trading contest, where each contestant says how they would invest 10 (imaginary) BTC into alts, and then after a couple weeks, the winner gets a larger prize, like 10k GRS, and a few other prizes, but all contestants get 500 GRS, or something. Maybe not a market guessing contest, but I just feel like a contest where some effort is made to create the entry (proof-of-work, so to speak), then you can reward every entry and have a bigger prize for winner(s), rather than just hand out some GRS for something that takes very little effort and can probably be gamed by people with some know-how.

Edit: Or for entry into contest require a facebook like and a contest entry. On second thought, I guess contest could be gamed by just saying you would hold the 10 BTC, or turn it all into LTC, or something...
2776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MYR] Myriad 0.9.2.16 REQUIRED UPDATE | 1st Multi-PoW on: September 13, 2015, 02:51:35 PM
Why is there need to fork? Someone should go and kick start it. Takeover it, change the name, make block time more convenient. I'm guessing the branding alone should keep it afloat. Move it to PoS, or DPOS, totally rethink the POS rewards, add a few merchants, add just a tiny community, and you got yourself at least a mediocre coin. Full discloser, I have millions and can't even sell them for 1 satoshi.

The main need for fork comes from huge hashers jumping on sha and scrypt, mining a shit load of blocks, then leaving when diff goes up, which then makes the block time very long (hours) for these two algos. This is being addressed by making sha and scrypt auxpow, i.e., merge-mineable, which will hopefully bring in a stable high hashrate on these two.

Other changes include twice as long block time, which will slow down inflation a bit.

Also, I'll see what I can do about getting pools updated on myriadplatorm.org.

I think that if you allow use of burstcoin plotfiles with your new coin...

yea well thats the idea. plus that my coin will be able to support the growth of hashpower, due to the reward structure.

Interesting idea, to have the first "merge-mined" PoC coin (also only the second PoC coin, afaik). I wouldn't expect reward structure or any other coin specification to draw more people to the clone though; have you ever seen a merge-mined coin surpass the parent, so to speak?
2778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: REQUEST: 5 MILLION COINS NEEDED on: September 13, 2015, 02:33:50 PM
TO START THE BIGGEST GRS GIVEAWAY EVER WE NEED 5 MILLION COINS!

10K FACEBOOKLIKES 500GRS PER FACEBOOKLIKE!!!
...

I'm all for increasing awareness and getting more people involved, but I'm not sure this is the best way to give away 5M GRS. Stellar gaveaway stakes in its currency for facebook likes, and there was youtube videos showing people showing other people how to scam the system and get hundreds or thousands of stakes. For instance:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W04YZSMY3c

Just something to consider...
2779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: September 13, 2015, 03:42:51 AM
I wish we had an exchange for services site that accepted Burst.
There are several sites I use regularly that accept BTC/Alts for payment.

I am not just talking about in wallet marketplace.

That does work, but there is no topology to view all the items for sale... you need to know an individuals ID to view their inventory.
A 'public' store to the in wallet marketplace would be a great place to start.

http://burstcoin.info/market

But i agree, we need more businesses accepting Burst Cheesy

What's with the items shown as:
Технология добычи драгметаллов из радиодетале

Just a rendering issue?
