281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "All In" or "Bank" Challenge! (Comment and I'll do it) on: April 23, 2016, 01:56:19 PM
All in can lead to a disaster if you are not lucky. Most people I know who bet all that they've got ended up loosing, also you can see it with their answers i your thread that most of them ended up with nothing.
Anyway, this is a nice experimentation and it would be fun to watch what will happen with your bets. What gambling game are you planning to test this out?

It is possible! A tipster on this very forum had a 15 W streak

15 wins in a row I don't call that "luck"

So had I followed those tips doing All in each time I would have at least doubled my money.

It can very well be luck.

Let's say a tipster has awesome tips and if you go all in on all of them, you will get 10x your money after a winstreak of 15 tips.

What are the odds of a tipster getting these many right you ask? Well, 1/10.

If you give me a list of the odds of each bet he made in a 15 W streak, I can mathematically show you the likelihood that it was pure luck. Considering the number of tipsters on the forums, the likelihood that one of them has awesome luck is not that unlikely...
282  Economy / Gambling / Re: Exposing some techniques ROLLINdice site uses to scam on: April 23, 2016, 01:40:22 PM
What has provably fair got to do with delayed deposits and delayed rolls.
Like I said this post fid for practical high rollers. Not watchers that just sit down and scream provably fair when ever something like this comes up

It has nothing to do with the delayed rolls and deposits therefore stop screaming it is not fair because even if your bets got delayed for 1 secomd or 1 hour it wont make any difference at all because the house wont be able to cheat you with provably fair on the site or should I say it will be hard for them to cheat you without you knowing

Scamming despite provably fair is possible.

Example: I bet high every time, with the same client seed. The server now knows I bet high and knows my client seed. The server now choose a server seed which would give a low result. It hashes this and displays the server seed hash.

The server does not change anything after I have bet, but by assuming that I don't change from high to low and don't change my client seed, I will lose.

Primedice actually used to have more issues (maybe still does) where even if you change from bet high/low, there's a chance they can still mess with you.
283  Economy / Gambling / Re: Exposing some techniques ROLLINdice site uses to scam on: April 23, 2016, 01:07:30 PM
It is impossible for any provably fair site to scam you if you change your client seed after every roll.
If you don't change your client seed it is possible to be scammed, as TF had outlined ages ago (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253144.0)
Still unlikely they are scamming you, but you can guarantee that they can't by changing client seed after each roll.
284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: April 23, 2016, 12:29:12 PM
Well, I've gone all in in poker, but that's all Wink
I recently bet quite a bit on a football game at 1:5 odds and came out winning tho... But I still wouldn't suggest going all in except in a poker game.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: April 23, 2016, 12:22:35 PM

Once you start gambling again when you're already rich, you tend to get more and more into gambling. Just like the old days when you weren't rich, you tried gambling 'for fun' until you got attached to it. You thought you can easily quit gambling because for you, you were just playing 'for fun', but when you try to stop gambling, you can't stop anymore. Cheesy

Anyways, do not start gambling even if it's just for fun if you don't want to get hooked up at it again. Probably you'll lose all your money eventually if you get addicted to gambling.

Not everybody gets completely addicted to gambling. You can gamble considering the money you spend on gambling in the same way you consider the price of a movie ticket. You know you probably will lose, but you enjoy having the chance.

Sure, if you have a problem with gambling it may be wise to not gamble but if you become "rich" it may be okay to keep majority of you money in a bank/somewhere safe and vow not to gamble it, and only gamble away a small portion.
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for new dice game ? on: April 23, 2016, 12:17:29 PM
But if the giveaway is considerably low to the point that making dummy accounts wouldn't be worth the effort, that shouldn't be a problem for the owners. However given that if the giveaway is considerably low, that wouldn't attract many gamblers at all.

Most giveaways are low to the point that making dummy accounts isn't worth the effort. For example, primedice gives away 0.000002, which is a bit under a tenth of a cent.
As far as I know, giveaways offer people a way to test out the site before putting in any money of their own. Maybe to see if they find using the site fun before they deposit any actual BTC.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Idea for new dice game ? on: April 23, 2016, 12:14:13 PM
The biggest problem with creating a new dice idea is that you need to somehow be trustworthy enough and have enough of a bankroll to attract whales.
With a 1% house edge, most sites will struggle to stay afloat. The huge spenders will generally go to established places (JD/PD)

For you to be able to make any new dice game, you have to be willing to run on almost no profits for some time as most people putting in money won't even come close to the amount of money you lose by giving away things to try to get new users.
288  Economy / Services / Re: NEED ASAP WILL PAY FOR 0.00025 btc on: April 22, 2016, 08:41:07 PM
I know what your issue with blockchain.info most likely is.

If you accidentally put a space after the amount to send, it detects it as invalid:

"0.001" is valid but "0.001 " is invalid.

Even though the difference is impossible to see without clicking on it and checking, blockchain.info gives an error.

I would like to apply for this signature campaign.
I have been inactive earlier, but I should be a frequent poster from now until September.
290  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Cheap Hosting Packages - Starting From $0.15 Per Month on: April 11, 2016, 10:11:46 AM
Do you have any deals active like the 25% off on advanced package you had earlier?

I want to buy hosting for only email (mostly forwarding only) for 12 months, and I'll need somewhere between 5-10 accounts.
Could I upgrade the hosting midway through if I need more email accounts?

PM me.
291  Economy / Services / Re: Advertise on my account [PPP] on: March 25, 2016, 02:13:07 PM
Let's say I pay you to make 10 posts, and another person pays you to make one post.

You post my 10 posts, with my signature in 2 days. Then you post the one post for the other person, with their signature.

As soon as you switch to the other persons signature, the signature on all the posts you made for me changes too.

Big signature campaigns can pay per post because they know that you will use their signature till the end of the month, so their advertisement will be visible for an entire month on all your posts. In this case however, I can't even be sure if my advertisement will last a day, because you may just post really really quickly and switch to someone elses signature.

No advertiser will buy this, as they are not guaranteed advertisement for any length of time.

Escrow takes too long for my liking.
I'll go first, post your address here.

Coinbase says BTC = 410.82, so I will send you 0.0158 BTC to the address.
Have the key ready if possible.
295  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Special offer - CS:GO - 6.5 $ [6 games sold] on: March 08, 2016, 04:33:29 PM
I'm interested in buying a copy of CS:GO.

Add me on Steam, my user id is: http://steamcommunity.com/id/beingmeftw/inventory/

I'll go first presuming you have the games in your inventory somewhere and don't have a negative steamrep.

297  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info email on: February 13, 2016, 06:49:13 PM
It's not necessarily phishing, and not necessarily something to worry about. I recently got the same mail and just found this thread on it. All links in the email I received link to blockchain.info. Gmail reports that the email was signed by mail.blockchain.info, also owned by blockchain.info.

What caused this? Most likely the fact that I used a really really easy to bruteforce alias (6 chars long I think?).
This does not mean anyone has your password , I tried using a VPN and logging in, blockchain.info asks for a verify email after only providing alias

How do you prevent this from happening again? Change your alias to something longer.
I don't know how to remove an alias, so I've changed it to something arbitrarily long that I won't remember but won't be bruteforcable either. (You can do this if you want to remove it, make it long and random)
298  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying CSGO High tier knifes/skins budget 2500$ on: November 07, 2015, 08:38:31 AM
PUMP !

And i got the money in my hand so i can easy make this BTC or easy bank transfer.

As Mexxer said.

Please sign a message with a timestamp from an address holding atleast a few hundred dollars worth of BTC.
Otherwise, your claims to have 2500$+ don't hold much weight.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store bitcoins safely? on: November 07, 2015, 07:54:59 AM
As the title says, where can I store my btc safely? Like a cold storage or something, but i dont get the idea of it... Also when it is safe, I want to deposit to it, is that possible?
i would recommend paper wallet, it is form of cold storage, you print private key onto paper and store it safely
coins are offline and safe
many websites offers great paper wallets ready to print
If/when I do that, can I deposit to that address?

You deposit to the address either by scanning the public QR code or keeping the public key with you before printing.

The biggest worry is always that someone will gain access to the wallet you have created, either from your computer or your printer.
Ideally, you would inspect the code of the program to generate your wallet code, disconnect your computer from the internet, print the paper wallet, delete print queue, format PC to remove any traces of the file being printed.

You can omit any steps, but that is the paranoid version I've just talked about.
300  Economy / Gambling / Re: Difference between Straight & Parlay on: September 13, 2015, 05:21:45 PM
Parlay gives you a small chance at some huge winning, while straight is for when you're relatively sure and want to win.
I'd say, entering a Parlay is more similar to gambling on a game with a big jackpot. Low odds of winning, high multiplier. Hard to skillfully win too.

However, with a straight game, if you have a good idea of who is going to win, you can almost definitely get profit. I'd guess a parlay introduces more variance, as I've seen most people running pick threads telling people to only play straight.
