281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VeChain: To hold or to buy more? on: June 17, 2018, 06:35:04 PM
I always tell people not to hold but Vechain is definitely an exception. I always try to buy Vechain when the market shows signs of reversal because it has really good gains compared to bitcoin or ethereum. Last dip was great for Vechain, almost 300% gains, much better than bitcoin and ethereum combined.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: planning for down market on: June 17, 2018, 06:31:09 PM
I have told this countless times. It is a bad move to dump your coins when the market is in a vulnerable state. It is not a smart decision and it will just show how restless you are. Always be patient and wait for the values to rise because they will for sure after a period of time. So HODL all the way and never give up.

You sure about that? Was it not smart to sell when it dumped from 20k to 15k? Holding forever is the best way to lose 90% of your money, looking at the price tank everyday can't be healthy mentally, unless you can afford it. I would not hold cryptos for more than a few weeks, months at most.
283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: market red on: June 17, 2018, 06:25:41 PM
There is no more appropriate strategy when the price of crypto in the market has decreased than we buy the cryptocurrency to be able to collect it more because in the future the users of cryptocurrency always assume there will be a big price spike and will be profitable. We initially panicked to see market conditions like this but if we have enough capital then it is better to start investing rather than just seeing and doing nothing.

I'm sure they would assume that however it doesn't mean it will happen. People have been assuming that since December last year and yet here we are, down to 6k from 20k. Buying more all this time was definitely not the best idea unless you are trading, buying and selling quickly and locking in profits. Holding and buying dips will only make you broke.
284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: June 17, 2018, 02:43:45 PM
Create a strategy and follow it always, 100% of the times. You can tweak it, backtest it but once you have your strategy, do not ever do something that's not in your strategy. This is the only way to get rid of emotions. Your strategy is mathematical, it's based on technical or fundamental analysis and other patterns, as long as you follow your strategy, you are not using your emotions. Obviously the hard part here is to actually follow your strategy. It's not as easy as it seems but it's the best way to do it.

Change it to that, objections are flawed and people are taking advantage of it.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long time holding, is it a smart thing to do? on: June 17, 2018, 11:21:08 AM
all must analyze what coins are held. whether it has the potential to rise in the long term or not.
if misaligned and left behind the information then hold the coins will be useless.
Of course, what is even the point of being an investor and not monitoring the situation of the coin or token you are holding ? The market will not always be in a position for a long time and there would always be time for correction, so in that case, it makes lot more sense, to use those periods of peaks to sell, buy back at dips and you stand to gain a better position in the long run. Holding though is safer without trading knowledge, but to me not the smartest thing to do as an investor.

The difficult part is choosing the right coins/tokens to hold for short or long holding. It needs an extensive study of the coins/tokens and the market.
That is where all the tricks and knowledge matter a lot. All coins are not good for holding. Hence filtering out the improper things will do all the needed jobs. People learn these tricks slowly. I guess in near future scams may get eliminated when most people ignore them.

Then you are a trader. A fundamentalist wont know how to sell and buy dips, you need trading experience for that and technical analysis. If you bought ''dips'' when bitcoin was crashing from 20k you would be broke right now. You are either someone who holds for a long time, 1+ years or you are a trader who sells and buys every few weeks. Also called swing trader.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Investment for 1 year on: June 17, 2018, 11:19:04 AM
I personally prefer to invest in Ethereum, Ethereum the price is quite stable and the development is very good from time to time so I'm sure to use ETH for my investment.
Yes, eth is good but there is no harm in always diversifying. I am not sure about you but generally we are not all looking for stability, but sometimes, we are looking for ways to maximize what we have in our hands to create a better opportunity for growth and since every market will grow in its own different way, I want to believe it is necessary to always spread around to be able to maximize the profit in the long term most especially when there are other solid projects as well. Except eth, I am always believing into waves platform a truly decentralized things with fixed supply. I guess next eth kind of growth could be possible only wity waves.

For the past year, diversifying is more like a gamble. In december with the bull run, everything was going up, you just needed luck to guess which cryptocurrency would gain the most but all of them did. You could buy any cryptocurrency and profit. The same is happening now but in reverse, everything goes down when bitcoin goes down, even really good alt coins can't survive these crashes. It's pretty annoying.
288  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin stay above 6500? on: June 16, 2018, 02:59:45 PM
I wonder if I should sell now or hope for the bulls. Looks like it's way too late to sell...

Maybe you should try to hold your balls up since there's still hope that bitcoins could pump again, remember it has so many supporters and maybe some of them afraid to go on it since their are existing bad issue of certain exchange flaws and side problems for now but I believe the quarter 3 and 4 will be the good time for bitcoins and let's hope for the best on it.
Maybe he really should, lol. No one knows what the market can ever bring next, it is so highly unpredictable, anything can happen at any time and even though it looks we are still in a huge downtrend, anyone of us could end up wrong. As of now, I am sure bitcoin will remain staying strong above $6300 levels.

If he had sold when we broke the $7350 local support downward, he would have been in a better position, but still nothing is guaranteed in the market and anyone who does not know what to do as when it comes to trading should better just keep holding until the market recovers.

It looks like we are going below 6k really soon, the RSI levels cooled off a little bit, the bounce was really small and no follow through, bears are looking really strong. We could see a strong bounce eventually after we break below 6k just like we have seen the past 2 times.
289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Blockchain Smart Contract? on: June 12, 2018, 10:38:37 AM
I personally think it's easier to learn by watching a video, this one helped me understand smart contracts in a simple way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE2HxTmxfrI

Simply explained a smart contract is something that executes automatically without the need of a third party. It's kind of like a vending machine, you introduce the money, select what you want and the machine will provied it. Because the machine is coded that way, it will give you your cola for 1.50$ every time, as long as it has enough colas. You don't need to ''trust'' the machine like you would have to trust a person. You could give 1.5$ to someone and not receive a cola because the other person runs away.

I'm confused should I be appreciating the calibrated efforts that he put to take care of that many accounts or should be mad that we couldn't track him down any sooner. So basically, you can become a millionaire from the forum if you are smart enough to manage 1000+ accounts ? How is it even possible to login into 200 of them without losing your mind ?

There is gotta be more than 1 person doing it though, a team of people perhaps, it is impossible to manage 1k accounts but it's amazing to see that real users in this forum are probably less than 10% of registered or active accounts lol
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does it take for an ICO to be profitable? on: May 23, 2018, 10:29:02 PM
Actually most ICO's are profitable once they reach an exchange, obviously not all of them do but right now if you sell fast, any ICO that reaches an exchange is pretty much going to be profitable even if it's just a little.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to the ICO world on: May 23, 2018, 10:27:42 PM
First tip is to never invest in coins just because someone here or anywhere else says so. There are a few guides here and youtube but your personal experience will always be the best. If you have enough eth, try to diversify and buy a few different ICO's. One of the most questions you have to ask yourself is, do they have a working product? There are tons of ICO's that offer amazing things but they don't have a working product or prototype so you are essentially trusting them to do it, instead find ICO's with working products and you won't have to trust them as much.
294  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Convenient And Safe Cryptocurrency Exchanger on: May 23, 2018, 10:22:41 PM
Looks good but is there any difference between you and shapeshift for example and if there isn't, why should we use yours instead of an already trusted service?

Hi!
Firstly, we have much more coins, and we are constantly expanding this list, adding new ones. Secondly, we do not have limits on the maximum amount of exchanges. You can change as much as you want, and when you want. Third, our main feature is an easy-to-use interface for clients, allowing you to make exchanges in two clicks. With us, changing the crypto is as easy as going to the store.

Well sounds good, I will make a swap myself tomorrow and see how it works out, I will comeback here to talk about it, the website does look pretty nice and simple so I will give you that.
295  Economy / Exchanges / Has anyone used Fatbtc exchange? on: May 23, 2018, 08:57:56 PM
It seems to me that they are faking their volume and there are a ton of fake reviews about them too. Although this is not their official reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/fatbtc/ it's full of complaints and they supposedly have more volume than cryptopia and even kucoin.
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 year of the bear market on: May 23, 2018, 08:56:26 PM
A lot of uncertainty still about regulations, I'm personally waiting for the regulations of the g20 in june/july and I think a lot of people are also waiting for that. We have seen good news these last months, nasdaq and other big stock exchanges have shown interest in bitcoin but they said they would be waiting for regulations first.

298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins hold to moon 1 year? on: May 23, 2018, 02:45:23 PM
If by altcoin you mean any coin that's not bitcoin, I personally like Vechain and BNB. Vechain is great, look at reddit and you will see news about vechain every week, new partner, new update, whatever it is, vechain is always updating.

Binance coin is great too, you are basically investing in Binance the exchange, we all know binance is a great exchange, they also have updates quite often and they are creating a decentralized exchange as well, bnb is just a really safe bet and has been outperforming any of the top 5 coins.
299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN I PROTECT MY ASSETS IN MY ETHERWALLET?IF SOME ONE KNOW MY KEY on: May 23, 2018, 02:42:55 PM
How do you exactly know that someone knows your private key? Is it your friend or something? Your money would have been gone by now if someone actually knew and wanted to steal from you.

300  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: May 23, 2018, 02:35:50 PM
I had a problem with account verification because of non-English character. After a month passed without any reply from support, I mentioned about the problem over twitter. Even I don't have more than 10+ follower, they sent an e-mail to and they said they are about to hire more people to their support team. Probably they found my e-mail address by ticket number. And a week later my verification was completed.

Yeah but, you shouldn't have to verify yourself in order to withdraw cryptos, that's pretty stupid and the fact that they did it without any kind of notice is suspicious. Any other exchange has a limit on how much cryptos you can withdraw without verification but all of them let you withdraw at least something.

I think it's a scam to collect personal data, some DHS staff joined Bittrex in December.
http://uk.businessinsider.com/bittrex-hires-two-former-homeland-security-chiefs-amazon-security-exec-2017-12

If they were honest, Bittrex would have given people notice and a grace period to withdraw their funds.

As I result I can see that Bittrex are loosing market share, fallen down from number 2 spot to number 7 since they did this.

Why dont you upload your ID, have your account verified, withdraw your coins and never come back? I think some people dont have the proper IDs to have them verified. There are some people who have multi-accounts on the site which they dont want to be caught red handed wash trading low volume coins.

Yeah sounds easy enough but it's not, took them 4 months to verify my ID, even though it was a perfectly valid ID. They fucked up and they didn't even admit it or gave us any sort of compensation. You think people was complaining about the verification itself or the fact that they didn't warn people or that it took them months and months to actually verify people essentially freezing their assets?
