2881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin v2.0 features new hashing algorithm, faster on CPUs on: September 18, 2011, 04:00:26 PM
CPU mining sounds very nice on my toasty new CPU  Grin

Bring it on as long as I can mine on Linux and mine bitcoins at the same time.

Btcoins doesnt need more miners, it already has a good system to regulate mining demand,  bitcoin needs more real trade to happen in bitcoins.

Finally somebody that gets it. If you start mining in the current conditions of low price and still damn high difficulty you are awarded the "Idiot of the year" award for 2011.

People need to buy bitcoins and use them to trade NOT mine and sell for a profit in US dollars.

2884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown National Chain Restaurant to Accept Bitcoin This Weekend on: September 16, 2011, 09:57:49 AM
Just another pathetic attempt to raise the price.
2885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see BTC at 1$ in the next few weeks? on: September 16, 2011, 09:52:18 AM
$1.25 is the bottom as long as difficulty is over 1.5 mil.   If difficulty nosedives a la namecoin there is no bottom.

Total BS. Can you backup your claim please because ATM it sounds like nonsense. Price is NOT linked to difficulty.

2887  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: A new genesis block isn't just for Solidcoin... as Bitcoin has the same ailment on: September 16, 2011, 12:11:14 AM

2888  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: You must sell your bitcoins! on: September 13, 2011, 06:20:21 PM
$6 is way to low, I expect it to go double digits given the troubles to mine them.

99 cents soon then?

LOL made my day.

Consider cashing out before it will only buy a new laptop.

If the early adopters cash out then the value will drop to nearly 0.
2892  Other / Meta / Re: It seems the goons have invaded us with Cosby scripts. on: September 09, 2011, 07:45:33 PM
LOL, this is damn epic. Forum getting hacked, value dropping down to 0. Get ready for the rough ride down folks. We all got sucked in this giant ponzi pyramid scheme. The big players are getting out and we are taking the hits.
2893  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Panic Selling of Sept 9th Fund on: September 09, 2011, 07:34:46 PM
That is the problem with bitcoin and all of these nerdy blockchains. The early adopters get so much out of it and the rest get burned. Reminds me of a pyramid scheme.
2894  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7x 5830 in 1 rig and GPUs only at 75% load on: September 08, 2011, 06:55:41 PM
I thought the limit of GPUs was around 4 for Windows. Or maybe the 11.8 drivers took out this limit ?
2895  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: LinuxCoin A lightweight Debian based OS with everything ready to go. on: July 17, 2011, 03:00:33 PM
On the latest image I get this whenever I try and run an aticonfig command :

ERROR - X needs to be running to perform ATI Overdrive(TM) commands.

What are the boot options for a failsafe persistent boot Huh

2899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-miner busted by police (Police confuse bitcoin power usage for pot farm) on: May 25, 2011, 06:44:11 PM
I remember years ago someone telling me authorities looked at your power bill to try and find people growing. Because of all the legitimate reasons for your power to go up I'd put it down at the time to paranoia from them smoking too many cones Cheesy.
it China its may be different:
dialogue during police raid:
"are you mining bitcoins ?
no, sir. just growing mariuana and make child porn.
ok then."

LOL made my day !
