Well TBH if shakaru invested more than $1000 into this then IMHO he deserves to be scammed. Has he actually met the OP in person ? Probably not. Shakaru, you should have donated your money to charity instead my friend. Greed was too much probably for him. Shakaru send over 1000 BTC and tomorrow I give you back 1200 BTC OK ?

Suggestion for scammer : run out of the country while you can. These nerds are coming to get you from their parents' basements.

hello to everyone, good to be here!

Your username seems to suggest you are working for a three letter agency.

Maybe I am just extra paranoid today Grin

Welcome !

So just to keep everyone informed, I own a good portion of the shares of SIN and for a good while too. I have sent out multiple request to Twsix or whatever his name is regarding a restructure plane, buyout plan, absorbtion plan and no response ever.
My last attemps at communication have been both from this fourm and email with the email attempts bounching back as failure to deliver. The contets of the last message outlined the laws broken including USC codes for illigal securities, securities fraud. Federal law regarding wire fraud and investor fraud, and California state codes regarding the same as the federal laws violated. If he does not contact and or restore service within 7 days (11/2 was the date of transmision) that I will take this to that level.
I have contacted the Legal@ email for his ISP after speaking with them over the phone on the matter and am in the middle of compiling all information on this fraud.
I will have more details when I can sit and write. I am in the middle of a move right now and things are still packed including my office.

Blah blah blah ...

Nobody cares about this because GLBSE is not legalized in any way, shape or form and has no legal grounding in the US justice system. Bet SIN did not file anything with the SEC, right ? For anybody in the justice system all this is just monopoly shares and monopoly money. You are not dealing with real legal tender or real regulated stock exchanges. Nobody cares. Move on. Thank you Mr. Scammer. Fools and their money ... IMHO you deserve to be scammed if you are this dumb to invest in some random Internet scammer.

Good luck shakaru ! Hope you get this high profile case on the 6 PM news very soon ! The world is watching. PM me if you need funds for the legal team Wink
Partnerships written on the back of paper napkins and via email have held up in court.  What makes you think a contract made through an unofficial exchange would be any different?  Of course, it won't have the same level of protections as an SEC-sanctioned stock exchange would, but a contract is a contract, and will be held up in court as long as it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused was the one who wrote it.

Well all I am saying is this : if you do get this guy in court then more power to you BUT I doubt any lawyer / judge will waste his time with a couple of dollars scammed. The legal fees > money you can get back RIGHT ?
2184  Economy / Goods / Re: user 72289 scammed me for 15BTC on: November 09, 2011, 10:57:27 PM
Huh, he sold me a lifetime MU plan and I haven't had any problems with it yet.  No problems with the transaction, either.

I also bought an account and haven't had problems with it. That said, I am not sure I believe his story...the pieces and prices don't add up.

Either way, the product was delivered and hasn't been revoked due to chargeback fraud yet. I think MegaUpload insulates themselves through MoneyBookers, so even if he's pulling something shady, I am not sure our accounts will necessarily get pulled.

pointbiz: what do you mean his sock-puppet? he's using multiple accounts? I wouldn't write it off as lost quite yet...he was establishing rapport and selling a lot to people who actually got them. If what I suspect is true, it was pure profit. Why would he cut and run for 15btc?

Maybe because the accounts were phished or he ( the insider or the seller ) got fired for selling MU accounts for free ? You are sitting on a time bomb account I think.

I am not sure about you, but I bought into this with the expectation of a fully opetaional mining farm, but due to the current management, my investment is without positive return, and now Tawsix is saying he will sell the hardware. If at any point Tawsix violates the contract he has issued through GLBSE, I will issue suit, win, and forclose on all hardware and assets currently held illigaly by Tawsix as all asset belongs to SIN.

Total BS. Let me see you sue a random scammer on the Internets. Mommy he stole mah coinzz !

Nobody gives a damn. You have been shafted. Get over it and move on ...

2189  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA development board "Icarus " for mining purpose on: November 09, 2011, 10:04:43 PM
$600 is too damn high LOL Shocked

Hoping for maximum of $360 so it gets that magical $1/Mh rate.
2190  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: FPGA development board "Icarus " for mining purpose on: November 09, 2011, 09:21:16 PM
This really is an exciting development. Board looks very nice compared to other hacks.

What is price ?

What is memory connector for ? I think it is just for the power and the data uses USB.
2191  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1014 GH/s 0% fee SMPPS] ArsBitcoin mining pool! Come join us! on: November 09, 2011, 09:16:25 PM
Looks like I need to start looking for a new home for my 32 GH/s... =(
Don't you agree that someone who is complaining about this without donating anything is very similar to an a..hole?

To be fair, if the pool does not require a fee and he does not want to contribute, that is well within reasonable norms. IMHO, I don't think we should hijack the thread to start calling people out or using masked profanity.

P.S. I am #2 on the donors list and haven't mined at the pool for a couple weeks now.

Where do you mine at then ? Thanks.

See sig.

Is that your own pool ?
2192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: namecoin are low, why? on: November 09, 2011, 09:15:24 PM
Namecoin is actually a worthless project at the moment.  Nobody in their right mind is going to accept Namecoin as a DNS system, except for one audience that Namecoin isn't yet addressing...

TOR HIDDEN SERVICES.

Why?  The world doesn't demand a new cryptographic DNS system, it's happy with the one it's already got.  The fact that Wikileaks and Pokerstars lost their names is of little concern to the world, especially since they can both easily register under another TLD with no significant impact.  If the world were looking for an alternate DNS, least of all, it sure isn't going to take one where virtually every prominent trademark has been cryptographically squatted on by anonymous wanna-be profiteers.

But Tor hidden services have no working DNS, and a side consequence is that it's rife with phishing sites and people can't tell if they're at the right site because the names are non-memorable.  If the address for Silk Road were "silkroad.onion", people could distinguish the real deal from phishing attempts without having to memorize "ianx6zasdflkajsdflkj" or whatever.

If Namecoin development went toward making it the de facto name registry for hidden services, it suddenly would be valuable and useful.  Otherwise, namecoins are as worthless as ixcoins.

The next biggest REAL thing that namecoin could potentially accomplish would be to serve as a registry of the correct SSL certificates for websites.  THAT is something the world actually is demanding, i.e. the current system is actually broken.

No wonder price is now 0.007. Really a shame. Even damn ScamCoin is higher than that now ! Sad

2196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: namecoin are low, why? on: November 09, 2011, 07:55:45 PM
The price of NMC is not as important as the security of NMC.

Remember NMC wasn't designed to be a currency.  People who want to register domains can use NMC to do so.  The price point isn't material however without MM NMC would be very vulnerable to a 51% attack.

Yes but I still think a low NMC value is not very good for miners relying on MM to boost profits Smiley
then you should do good by buying alot of them, and make prices raise for some time.

You wish. Until these cryptocurrencies are not properly tested over some time I consider it foolish to put real USD into them. I never even bought BTC at $0.58 Tongue
NMC's function is not as a currency, but as a way to secure domain names. -> price of namecoins, price of a domain.

Well seems I am late to the game. Sony.bit and Google.bit and Apple.bit and Microsoft.bit and ... are all taken up now Sad

Well would they corrode or something if wash them with water and let them dry Tongue ?

Probably not if you used distilled water, but mineral oil is hydrophobic.  You'd need some kind of detergent to bind the oil, like dish soap.

You wouldn't be able to just dunk it either as the water would seep between the PCB layers and make quite a mess.  Come to think of it, the mineral oil probably will too.

Any way you look at it, submerging your card in some kind of liquid isn't something you can just do on a whim and expect to turn back.

That is a valid point. Did anyone so far do this and test out of the PCB remains solid etc. ?

Miners aren't people? LOL

Whatever.  Obviously your intent it just to troll, misrepresent and obfuscate.

Welcome to ignore, an accomplishment as you are the first.

You are quite right there mate. All talk no walk. We want to see EnCoin actually launched. Too much talking no doing around these parts.

Take a hint from Satoshi : "I'm better with code than with words though." Wink
