2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Be ready when is launches! on: October 11, 2011, 11:29:14 PM
just a note that isn't mentioned in the unix help file, had to
Code:
sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev
in ubuntu 11.04 to get litecoind to compile (fresh reinstall as of yesterday)

litecoin-qt compiled just fine following the debian instructions(this was before I tried litecoind)

Now to try to get the miner to compile...

miner should be pretty easy, just get:
automake
libcurl
libcurl-devel

And you should be good.

Any news of Intel optimizations !?

Cool story bro'.

LOL this thread is too epic. I bet he will be back. It does not matter if you ban him or not etc. He is above the law. He is too busy being 1337 and using his employer's resources to commit crimes on the internet to impress others.
2464  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: October 11, 2011, 10:32:50 PM
At the current rate over 1 million coins will have been mined in the first day.  What do you think that just did to the value of Solid Coin 1.0 coins?

Make parity with Bitcoin as it is getting inflated at quite the same rate. 7200 BTC every day being pumped in and price falling way low. Yes, that is success.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone planning a push for Namecoin acceptance? on: October 11, 2011, 10:30:24 PM
The next version of bitcoin allows for it and my request to remove merged mining from git was rejected.

kano, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that I am King of Bitcoin.

I told you that if you don't like the getmemorypool RPC method, you would need to gain consensus either on the Dev&Tech section of these forums or the bitcoin-dev mailing list. That's how bitcoin works-- rough consensus, not "submit requests to the King" or "petition the Central Committee."

All hail to the glorious leader !
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Since SC2 is dead, maybe it is a good time to release the sources ? on: October 11, 2011, 10:28:38 PM
Everyone please, please calm down. The Glorious Leader has it under control. Trust him.
It's all lies perpetrated by upon your childlike mind by reality, ignore it.

Forgot to add the SC badge on his chest !
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Tenebrix, a CPU-friendly, GPU-hostile cryptocurrency on: October 11, 2011, 10:27:05 PM
Still no effort to making this run on Intel CPUs huh ? Nice.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What speed are your getting CPU mining TENEBRIX? on: October 11, 2011, 10:25:04 PM
64bit for windows would be awesome

If you got Intel then TBX sucks !
If you running Windows then TBX sucks !

They are too lazy to make optimizations so that Intel = AMD and Linux = Windows. Mine SC2 !
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: nodecoin on: October 11, 2011, 10:23:39 PM
Well 10% of them went to the Glorious Leader.  When he profits you profit (well half of that is true).

LOL nice reference comrade !
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 2 Release - Monday 10th October 23:35 UTC on: October 11, 2011, 10:22:12 PM
I've been stuck at block 16709 for a while. Is there something to be worried about?

Restart client !
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Be ready when is launches! on: October 11, 2011, 10:16:43 PM
I have no control over the launch time. Only the poll does, so go vote.

I voted Thursday and so did most other people so why are you saying Wednesday now !?

Please check your timezone. The last option in the poll is Thursday in GMT but Wednesday in the US. And that's 29 hours away.

Yes I am in London so GMT is the time I need. So then it is Thursday my time right !? Please make it in afternoon not at 3AM like SolidCoin !

Now you're just being dumb. Why do I even bother responding to you?

Why am I being dumb ? I am asking you to release it at a reasonable time so I don't have to stay awake all night then go to work the next day without having slept a minute etc.

Please consider this. Thanks !

Here is a theory, once the SC2 algorithm is out people will start cloning it into their chains, just like other parts of SolidCoin. There is a reason for this, we are leading the way.

Why would anyone clone a stupid central control mechanism for what should be a peer to peer currency?
Why would anyone clone a retarded difficulty adjustment mechanism?
Why would anyone clone your retarded fixed cost transactions?
No-one wants to clone your unstable rubbish. You are only leading the way to your cultist followers all of whom are likely to be your aliases.

If all you have is crappy design, crappy code, lemon party man, and anti-japan rant man Grin you better give up now. You are already beyond a joke.

LOL man thank you. Made my day. This forum is just too good to be true. Everyday there is somebody like this guy. High 5 !

2474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GEM - as a potential stable value currency on: October 11, 2011, 10:06:41 PM
I don't like any currency that involves mining.  Especially with my sour grapes of mining solidcoin for the 1st 8 hours with 50 KH/s and getting nothing but shares.

Interesting would be a cryptocurrency without mining. You get coins for doing work etc. !?
2475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Be ready when is launches! on: October 11, 2011, 10:03:35 PM
I swear the launch is on Thursday right !? Please make it as late as possible ! Thank you !

Guys this thread is just comedy gold. I think the network is going well but why does it seem to get stuck on some blocks etc. !?

Holy shit, now there are nine japanese conspirators?

Soon there might be 10  Wink Grin
2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Be ready when is launches! on: October 11, 2011, 10:01:57 PM
Looks like the launch will be in 29 hours and a bit. The actual time will be announce in about 9 hours. Stay tuned.

Question for technical people. Would it be a bad idea if I told people to add "addnode=<myip>" to their litecoin.conf file so that they will immediately talk to my client for the genesis block? Would that overwhelm my client and take my client down? Or does bitcoin handle that well?

I swear the launch is on Thursday right !? Please make it as late as possible ! Thank you !
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] How do you think SC 2.0 will handle decreasing difficulty? on: October 11, 2011, 09:58:32 PM
Difficulty is working just fine now. Block generation is slowed compared to earlier when it was almost 1 block / second.

2480  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's your shutdown point? on: October 11, 2011, 09:14:39 PM
I really have no shutdown point.

Im probably one of the lucky ones, as Im able to keep all my miners at work.  And my miners really didn't cost me anything either as Im able to put them on the books at my business.  Getting close to 2ghash/s now with the addition of my 4th miner.

I think as long as I can buy stuff with btc I will continue mining...

Hope you are found out and fired. This is the reason why the price is so low. If all people competed evenly, then the price would be higher than currently but when some idiots like you get "free electricity" they cause the price to fall as they can afford to sell lower than the ones paying for electricity. Result : most of the miners paying get out due to such a low price and we are all screwed as the ponzi collapses.
