@sd

I think Viper Lemon Bitch is a true believer. Even though it is clearly obvious that Coinhunter is pissing all over him he 100% believes it's just raining because CH tells him so.

What about me ? Did you managed to confirm I am not RS yet ? Thank you !

Puhleese...........gimme a break and just release the source.

So you were not able to dox my account Huh I want you to confirm I am not RS. I stopped trolling for SC long time ago.
2342  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [880 GH/s 0% fee SMPPS] ArsBitcoin mining pool! Come join us! on: November 02, 2011, 10:44:56 AM
No plans for MM ? I am dying here. Thanks !

Can you at least confirm you are working on it or at least tell us it will never be implemented etc.

yeah, at least knowing that MM is planned and being worked on (or not) would be great. a lot of us would drop other pools to be permanent here once MM is implemented. right now MM is giving almost 10% to 13% boost to total reward (depending on the price of NMC), and that figure cannot be ignored.

ars is among the greatest pools, and the stats are just brilliant, so please let us know the plans...

Yes too bad because it was about 50% more $$$ but now it is about 13% more income at best with NMC prices down to about 0.01 BTC.
2343  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [360 GH] Eligius pool: ~0Fee SMPPS, no reg, RollNtime, hop OK, BTC+NMC merged! on: November 02, 2011, 10:42:23 AM
Can I still registed for NMC ?
Yes, but it won't be applied retroactively anymore. ie, you need to register before you can earn any NMC.

So what happened before ? Did you share out the MM profits during testing ? Please clarify as I did not understand. Thank you !

It doesn't matter because you missed the deadline but....

Merged mining was enabled.
Luke asked people to signup if they wanted to get paid NMC.
If you signed up by the deadline you got all NMC from the moment it was enabled.
If you sign up after the deadline you get all forward NMC revenue.

Thanks for the explanation.

Do you have plans to implement merged mining?

Now that profit is extremely low and NMC price falling to 0.01 BTC I ask you this "What is the point, considering it is such a pain and may impact on BTC mining ?"

2345  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1200 GH/s] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); Working again! on: November 02, 2011, 10:34:55 AM
Good that pool is back up !

Are payouts enabled again ? Should get 1 BTC and about 15 NMC sent etc. Thanks !

OK, it failed again. Sorry, there's no other chance than wait for crappy OVH support to replace the disk. Damn! :'-(

I'm recommending you to go solo or join another pool, because pool will be down until tomorrow.

OK good to know. I should have told you to avoid OVH from the start but oh well.

"If your using nvida cards". Language fail.
2355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people Anti-Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2011, 08:02:20 PM
Not much... yet... but we want an alternative to fiat money.

Considering BTC is priced in fiat money and fiat money begins and ends every BTC transaction, I don't really understand how it's an alternative.

Let me put it this way: has a vendor ever received bitcoins and then spent those bitcoins on a good or service that wasn't basically fiat money?  If there's no second step in the currency chain, it's pointless except as an experiment in giving exchanges money.

We want anonymity.

Ok.

Quote
We want to backup our money (without FDIC).

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense.  How are your bitcoins backed up?  If you lose them, they're gone.  There will never be an insurance on bitcoins because it would just be a siren call to be defrauded.

Quote
We dont want inflation.

Again, this doesn't make sense.  Inflation only matters in terms of spending power, and bitcoin spending power has been incredibly inflationary since it peaked at $30.  You used to be able to buy six Dominoes medium pizzas for a single bitcoin.  Now you need 2-3 for each pizza.

Quote
We want control.

And by control you mean trusting a mysterious third party who developed this whole thing, then trusting money changers to convert your fiat money into some kind of electronic form, then trusting the exchanges to not just disappear with your money or bitcoins, then trusting that the difficulty never gets so low that a real blockchain attack could through the whole thing into disrepair, then finally trust that a vendor who accepts your bitcoins won't just vanish with them because you cannot prove that your bitcoins went to someone else (yay anonymity).

Quote
Tell us how Paypal will help us with that?

You have some very strange requirements for your currency that are not shared by many people.  Libertarians, the free market has spoken.

All valid points, especially the first one. BTC is just a proxy currency ATM. Even if you get businesses accepting BTC it will be quite a while before suppliers take BTC. For an example : imagine Nestle accepts BTC but I am 99% sure that the cocoa farmers accept USD only in Colombia or whatever. More adoption will not raise price like some people seem to think.
2356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DeepBit pool thread for newbies on: October 31, 2011, 04:00:38 AM
Why would you use Deepbit in the first place? With merged mining out, you could be making more using one of the pools that supported it.

People use deepbit because it's large.  That's the only reason I can think of, really.

Which means less variance. If you want more variance then move to a smaller pool or solo.

2358  Other / Off-topic / Re: I.Goldstein's charity ponzi on: October 31, 2011, 01:07:08 AM
Yeah, I publicly admit that people LOSE MONEY ON PONZI.  They can also win.
This full disclosure makes ponzi NOT A SCAM.

If things were as easy as that, then why are numbers rackets illegal?
It inhibits the state's ability to collect their share. They rather see the poor spending money on booze and paying a sales tax than have them gamble it away. In addition, they want a monopoly on their "official" lotteries.

Anyways, in general, it's for the same reasons that harmless drugs and victimless crimes are made illegal.

Keep talking Atlas. I'm sure your parents will love to hear your total disregard for the law due to your personal disagreement with it.

If anyone else has any information from the ridiculously long list of hypocrisy that is Atlas, please PM. I'll be recording the call for evidence of child endangerment in the event his parents turn out to be the nutty ones making him this way.

Do you have jurisdiction over his country since you are in South Korea ? Honestly, are you hoping to get him into foster care as his parents are not up to the task ? LOL. Take a chill pill mate.

BurningToad,

Any plans to implement merged mining ? If you did then IMHO this really would be the best ever pool. Thank you !

ATM that is eligius but NMC registrations are closed Sad
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Alternate cryptocurrencies]Litecoin on: October 30, 2011, 11:06:59 PM
Litecoin is, like any other alternate cryptocurrency, just a scheme to steal the BTC from clueless newbies.

Can you explain me what you saying?
Are you telling me that I should mine BTC with my NVIDIA GPU, dump $$$ in new rig or something else?

I'm saying that dudes like you only want BTC in exchange for the scamcoin they mine, and eventually the scamcoin you are mining will die, and the persons to whom you sold those scamcoin will be out of their BTC.

But by all means, keep at it. Mine scamcoins and dump them, I'm not the one who's going to lose my Bitcoin anyway.

How dare you call our solid coins a scam Huh The dear glorious leader will have you arrested as a political prisoner !

Some lose and some win. Alt chains are nice and fresh at the start but they all eventually die. NMC is on its way to nothing. Prices are 0.014 due to MM. I wonder if there will be something to take Bitcoin's silver place.
