If you are referring to WattMan, it's built into the AMD driver: Gaming -> Global Settings -> Global WattMan.

My PowerColor take it too but doesn't boost it much like 1 MH since the ASIC quality seems to be killing anykind of improvement on that card. The last one running 27.x MH but drop to 15-18 and back to 27. Needs some tweaking. Rigs was up for 7.5 hours last night ... crashed when I arrived at job. Had to reboot a few times some card didn't start to hash. Now PC seems to be crashed |

Flashed my card with the bootstrap mod.
I got a PowerColor with an Asic of 69.1% and the mod didn't do jack shit. It's the one throwing invalid share also. I think i have a bad card. good thing is I have two 80ties and my best is 89.x% two 70X also (75-79)
The 5 others are running good.
Now can anyone share me WattTool ? I'm unable to download it from the overclock site ... even if I created an account. Getting an error from the forum

Engine > UI imo  Ditto. Engine > UI = "Nobel Prize" UI > Engine = "Miss/Mr. Universe" I agree with you guys/gal, but there is something to be said for marketing. My very first boss when I was fresh out of college & working for a computer timesharing company used to say "Sell the sizzle, not the steak". We are all mining here because we know this is the best pool, hands down. But there are lots of folks out there that like a fancy interface & are not as technically adept as you folks. Just wondering how big this pool could get with something like that, but certainly wouldn't want to sacrifice engine efficiency for a pretty face. Mine on! P.S. @Citronic: I like winter Juvia  He might help to recruit a few more miners, I agree. (I wasn't saying that to be a d*ck btw) |

181.3 MH/s and I should around 126-127 atm.
Anyone have encounter this ?
What do you mean? Bad share? Is 181 the first nUmber? ETHPool saying my Miners are reporting 181.3 195.0 MH, it's impossible i'm seeing 126-127 max. 195.0 MH/s | 86.0 MH/s | 81.0 MH/s Figured it out ... I got an insane number of => GPU #1 got incorrect share. If you see this warning often, make sure you did not overclock it too much! /sigh .... bad GPU ? it's not even overclocked EDIT: quick reboot ... all 6 cards minings impressive and no errors ! I saw that GPU error before but never at that insane pace. I flipped the "GPU 1" on the MB and it's the same "GPU 1" throwing the error. Not sure it's GPU related anymore. |

I am not in a good mood today - my entire ETH farm is down due to unknown power trip - spent hours going through what is causing the trip - nothing seems to be amiss but something is causing the main db board to trip. Never had problems with the farm for many month now, until I started to run a few test rigs to do a comparison selling hash at Nicehash instead of mining ETH directly - that project is put on hold for a while until I find the culprit. Its going to be long day tomorrow with my electrician. I have a strange feeling... that I have to get rid of them USB risers  If you have fuses in your electric system ... one might be defective and cause the main to trip. Just saying, i'm no expert |

Phil, I sent a email to the guy who sold our MOBO and he was mining with ubuntu. Never been able to have all 6 card working with windows (not sure how did he tried).
So before I decided to do a full re-install of Win 10. Lucky me my usb key wasn't reconize, had to go with the iso way and use another program to flash my usb. I decided to give it a last try and the 6 cards was mining happy all night long.
I did some remote desktop this morning, process kind of freeze until I went to the station and everything was fine. Process unlock like 1 hour later ... strange behavior.
I did some remote just 5 minutes ago, same shit. process was running but not mining, no error ... just stuck in time.
4 GB on Win 10 seems to be quite short ...
Who is mining ETH on Ubuntu ? I need all the info to try that !

mining on linux isnt the best way to go. gpus on linux use more power than windows just my 2 cents Thanks ! I will not try them. The guy is telling me to try not to power the riser (I use PCI-E for the riser) and plug the two molex on the MOBO. It is safe ? two molex for 6 risers .... looks unsafe to me. EDIT: I'm starting to see some stability ... will add 4 more GB to the setup (for vnc / fake locking up process). 3 Reboot, full hash power. |

Twenty five reboots. Ugh
On my end. The hurricane made a small leak in the solar array.
Water got into the atx running the four card z170 mobo causing a short in the mobo near the 8 pin CPU cable jack.
So,far all four gpus seem okay.
The higher end m2 ssd survived
The 8 gb ram stick is good.
The CPU cooler is good.
The CPU is yet to be tested.
The psu is toast.
The mobo is toast.
So I spent today redesigning the setup with a proper rain shield for both the s9s and the Ethcoin pc's
As of now I am running 3 s9s and 1 s7. I have the part for btc mining done.
Tomorrow or thurs I will bring another mobo over with four gpus and try again.
The new rain leak protected setup should allow for five s9s one s7 and two four card eth rigs.
About 9600 watts
Yeah i'm starting to think the same thing, the deal was too nice to be good !! (as the usual !!) I'm trying with a RM 1000 for the MOBO + riser and Seasonic 1200 for the cards. So far, not good. Suck for the water ....  EDIT: Also 5 cards seems to be real good, only the 6th is testing my patience. ;-) |

took me about 25 reboot to have all 6 cards running again. I'm using a double DPS-2000 PSU running at 12.16v. Might be the voltage on the card. A bit high for their clocking. I might have 2 or 3 cards sensible to that.
I will use 2 RM 1000 tonight to play with that.

Alright, I got 6 full cards hashing at stock at the moment. (not for a long time, last time it took 10 mins to crash) After uninstalling and reinstall amd driver a lots, I downloaded their cleanup utility. I manually removed all rx470 from the device manager with driver's delete option. Launched the cleanup and rebooted, launched the clean again and rebooted. Downloaded the latest driver, I always used 16.9.2, installed the 16.10.1 drivers. Rebooted. I'm going to bed, but it looks good ! Thanks to everyone for all the inputs. Hoping I can OC them a bit tomorrow EDIT: And GPU hangs in OpenCL call, exit... It tried to restart but it's not working I get those from time to time too. Mostly now when. I updated to claymore 7.0 and above Not saying it is calymore but I see it more with 7.0 or newer Great infos ! Thanks you. What's your frequency ? I run 1500 strap with 1130core and 1945 mem all modded bios Sorry I wasn't clear for the last question. How do you power your mobo ?
I use one of these: http://amzn.to/2e5ibAUCan't beat it - since the CPU/MB/SSD never draws more than probably 80w, it's a great solution and gets everything powered off of one 12v supply (from the DPS). I suspect most of the negative reviews are just people who have no clue - I've ordered probably 50 of them so far, and never had one be defective - but I could just be lucky. What do you use for the 8 CPU connector (I think it cannot be replace only by the molex connector ?) EDIT: 3 hours full speed at the moment. finger crossed ! |
