Overeem KOs Harris in round 2 - I think it was a mistake for Harris to go in for the kill in the first round after landing some good punches. It's no secret that Overeem gasses out quickly but it was him who gassed out after throwing a flurry of punches. He should have waited and pushed the pace in rounds 3 to 5. Kudos to Overeem for remaining calm though.

In general, giving titles/badges to users who died is difficult/problematic. It's almost a sort of "KYC", since death is inextricably linked to one's physical identity. It also opens several cans of worms: for example, should the account be locked after the person died? If so, it prevents their heirs from accessing PMs or even selling the account (which is allowed). If not, then you'd have users actively posting while wearing "RIP" badges.

~ The spamming activity and shitposting gradually eliminated Decreased because some newbies stopped/quit but shitposting was never eliminated. You can still read similar posts from ranked members. ~ A quality poster improves his way of replying or making thread since merit system requires a substantial (not copy pasted post) in order for to receive merits.
There were huge improvements but I still see some users who copy-paste posts for the sake of merits. They are lucky for receiving merit/s and not being banned. ~ Many forum users become more humanitarian. Some legendaries/merit source give their helping hands to the noobs and user who just starting in bitcointalk. Before, there is no unity in the forum. If there was, only few. But right now, we are all helping others to get their deserve rank, specially those who are working and sharing a lot in this forum.
I'm not sure if this is some positive or negative effect of the merit system. This sounds like members here are less humanitarian without the introduction of merits and that they are helping so they will be rewarded with merits. The initiative to help community who were extremely affected by pandemic for example would still be there with or without the merit system. |

This thread is not exactly Ask Me Anything dahil hindi pa naman ako ganun kagaling pagdating sa mga usaping ito. This is more like a Ask The Local Community Anything related sa blockchain technology. Pansin naman natin na kokonti lang engagement sa mga technical topics dito siguro dahil maraming nahihiyang magtanong. Pagdating sa technical topics, nakakalamang talaga ang mga may background/courses related sa blockchain. Kaya regardless of ranks, Legendary ka man o Newbie, let us use this avenue para mas lalong matuto. Are their ways where you could find your post in a topic? you could see this on a page if you're already posted in it.  if there are so many pages is there an easy way to find your post?  Maybe Ctrl + F then enter your username on each page. What are you trying to achieve here by the way? I don't see any valid reason why you would want to look for your post in such threads unless you want to respond to someone who quoted your previous comment. If that is the case, better to use notifier tools like that of LoyceV and giammangiato. ^ You will not see previous posts but you will be notified if someone quoted/mentioned you in the future (after you subscribe). |

Although buying/selling of accounts is not against the forum rules, it is frowned upon by most members here. If the bought account is discovered, it will most likely be red-tagged which renders the account useless. It's still better to work your way up.

Politicians and environmentalist always point out that Bitcoin mining o crypto mining are "waste of enegy" o nakaka-dulot ng polusyon but they always fail to point out na madami ng crypto miners gumagamit ng renewable energy para sa kanilang mga operasyon. Also if ikukumpara natin yung mga ibang sources ng polusyon katulad ng mga factory, kotse, at food production di hamak na mas mataas yung nako-contribute nila sa polusyon ng mundo. Yeah, kagaya nila, marami sa mga non-miners ang hindi na updated unfortunately. If we read mining related posts and comments across the forum, mostly sa kanila ay tungkol pa din sa mataas ang cost of mining dahil sa electricity consumption. ~
Ewan ko ba baka nag-hahanap nalang sila ng rason to oppose Bitcoin o sadyang wala lang silang alam sa crypto industry kaya bato lang sila ng bato ng mga statement nila na walang basis.
Propaganda of course. Maraming tao pa din ang mga tamad sa research para ma-verify yung mga nababasa nila kaya it's always easy for these anti-bitcoin groups to sway public opinions. |

It's not like they were unaware of the halving of block rewards and were suddenly hit by operating losses. They knew about this years in advance so I assume that they already have a back up/contingency plan prior to the halving. ~
What are your thoughts about these miners shifting to bitcoin investment? Can they find it much effective than mining bitcoin block?
Well, if they can't find a way to increase their mining efficiency then it's a reasonable choice to become a bitcoin investor instead. Whether it's effective or not depends on their ability to hold/trade. |

Medyo nakakaumay na din pagusapan etong eth 2.0 sa dami ng delays sa totoo lang. As much as possible, gusto ko na lang hintayin na mag-launch officially bago mag-discuss about sa price dahil marami pa namang phases ito. Recently lang (May 7) nung na-launch nila yung test network which resulted to a small pump.
Huwag na muna siguro mag-set ng price expectation dito. We'll just have to wait for the result at sa review ng mga sumubok sa testnet for now and depende sa resulta kung magkakaroon ulit ng delay. Marami din naghihintay kung magiging epektibo ba talaga yung sharding ng isang block para maresolba na ang long-time issue ng scalability. Kung okay, malamang maraming bibili ng 32 eth para maging validators sa bago/ugraded na eth blockchain.

~ Hindi ko sure if ito yung tinutukoy mo since nangyari pa ito nung July 29, 2019 which was 10 months ago. Naging house bill pa nga ito pero hindi sya pumasa sa kongreso at hindi sya umabot sa senado natin. In terms of price increase naman based on the chart ng previous post ko makikita mo na walang naging epekto ito sa price movement ng ABS-CBN makikita mo na overall downward trend pa din sya, yes nagkaroon ng konting rally pataas until August of 2019 pero it wasn't enough para masabi natin na reversal sya. ~ Cannot read the article pero malamang hindi yan dahil medyo recent lang yun. Sa tingin ko naman may mga hindi nagbibigay ng merits dito dahil lang gawang Pinoy pero maganda na din na mabasa ito ng mga madalas magreklamong kulang daw sa suporta dito sa lokal. 2. Add your sources. As much as possible pag may sinasabi ka sa isang thread or reply, add your sources kung maaari. Having sources simply gives your post more validity. Though syempre, piliin niyo rin ung sources niyo. Wag ung kung ano anong random website lang.
Para iwas din sa ban for plagiarizing. May naalala akong user na nasabihan din ng ganito dati, buti mabait yung local mod natin at hindi pa siya na-ban. Paalala lang din na huwag lang mag-post ng kung ano-ano (yung tipong hindi mo naman naintindihan) tapos lagay lang ng source....then submit topic sa mga merit giveaways.

ABS-CBN's legal department is largely at fault kung bakit nagkaroon ng ganitong gusot. 2014 pa pala nila kinukuha ang franchise at niresubmit nung 2016 ngunit wala pa ring nangyari dahil marami pa ring kulang sa renewal application documents na hinihingi sa kanila.
Maliban sa hindi nila maibigay yung mga requirements at hindi masagot yung mga tanong sana ng Congress, nabasa ko na ayaw din ni Pinoy i-grang yung franchise renewal kung hini tatanggalin si Noli De Castro that time (who was GMA's VP). So they gambled on the next administration but unfortunately for them, si PRRD ang nanalo and not Mar. Well for what it's worth, so long as this gets sorted out hindi naman mawawala sa mapa ang ABS-CBN, lalo't nakuha na nila ang simpatya ng madla sa kanilang mga madadamdaming pahayag sa internet at bago sila mag-sign off.
Mukhang hindi na ang kaso ngayon. Pinatahimik na lang sana nila mga artista nila dahil mas lalo lang nainis mga tao sa kanilang kadramahan 
Been reading another issue about ABS-CBN with their subsidiary company - Big Dipper Digital Content and Design, Inc. Some investigative journalists/bloggers have been digging into their financial reports kung saan napansin na they were able to Avoid taxes in the past years (paglilinaw tax avoidance =/= tax evasion). This Big Dipper company is registered under PEZA and they were granted some privileges like having non-taxable dividends. While this move seems legal under our existing tax laws, some argue that it is unethical. There are even others who claim that Big Dipper is just a shell company. I don't know where these findings/investigation would lead to and how that would affect the franchise renewal but this could put a dent on their reputation (if they still have). |

To supplement what @gentlemand said, here's what's stated in their TOCs 5.4.
In case Freewallet detects suspicious activity on Freewallet account, Freewallet conducts AML/KYC procedure for the user. To be sure that nobody has unauthorized access to the users account, We ask to provide all necessary information for verification, including without limitation an ID, photo, screenshots showing the source of all your incoming transactions etc. The User is obliged to pass through AML/KYC procedures, which may be applied to the User from time to time, and provide accurate and truthful information about himself as well as maintain and promptly update his Freewallet Account information in case of any changes. If you are going to use them, you are basically agreeing that they can suspend your account and freeze all your funds anytime until you fulfill all the requirements that they will ask. I wouldn't be happy with those kind of terms especially when there are genuine free wallets available. |
