Is it possible to add Verge XVG (Blake2S) coin please? currently with dual mining eth+xvg, second coin is not recognized on blake2s algo.
WhatToMine has a few coins not included in their main listing and these are not automatically included in Awesome Miner, but can be added manually. On the WhatToMine web page for a specific coin, there is a JSON link in the toolbar. Copy this link and put it in Awesome Miner Options dialog, Statistics section, where it can be added as Additional JSON URL's.

The JSON URL for the coin you request is:
https://whattomine.com/coins/220.json

Patrike,

Could you add something to profit profile for me? Could you add under Profit Profile, when you select an algo from the list on the display under gpu clocking profiles start and stop, could you add a line for "execute batch file before start mining" then a selection to allow us to link to it either local or remotely.

This simple addon would allow people to use third party OC and Settings without a major overhaul to Awesome Miner.
Example on a remote rig, i could then create a folder for all my OC batch files, then create a new one for each algo like Skein.bat, then link to it so we can use Nvidia Inspector without you having to implement it and get rights to use someone elses software....

+1 for batch file use

Patrike,

After thinking this over, it may be better to add the execute batch file function under profit profile GROUPS, reasoning is you could execute 1 single batch file for that entire rig group
Hi,

I may have to add a setting like this both to the Groups and to the Profit profile itself. Unless you have a mix of cards, most people don't use the Groups concept as it's mainly about adding up the numbers for mixed GPU systems.

For launching an external application, what I had in mind was the following to be configurable per algorithm in each Profit profile
- Launch before miner starts
- Launch before miner stops
- Launch after miner stops

In addition to this, I also plan to support adding a custom command line configuration to be passed to the mining software per algorithm in the Profit profile.

The same settings for launching external applications in these three scenarios could then be added to both a Managed Miner (that do have a batch file concept, but it's not a as flexible) and maybe to the Profit Groups as well as you suggested.

patrike - I'm see this error quite frequently.

The web interface tells me both the CPU and GPU miners are offline, however if I remote desktop into the device I see both are working fine and reporting hashrates?

for the GPU the web says Interface offline

The Claymore Ethereum miner is sometimes not responding to API calls fast enough or not at all, and will for that reason show up as "Interface Offline" in Awesome Miner.

I've had a few similar reports from other users about this, but the problem is reproducable even with the Claymore remote monitoring tool. This indicates that the problem is not specific to Awesome Miner, but in the Claymore miner itself.

You could try to increase the API timeout in the Awesome Miner Options dialog, Advanced section "Miner API connection timeout".

Hi Patrike
AM need new Rule, some asicminers have faulty boards and this miners works after restart good, but with the time hashrate go to 0 MHS (with no "x" chips) and miners must be restarted manualy.
Or please tell me how i can configure restarting processes if Hashrate drop for 10-20-30, etc percents.

And please improve GUI, with the time ammount of stored pools more then 300 !!!, i have created a pool groups, but this groups placed on the end of pool dropdown list. Everytime i need to wait till whole list will be scroled to the end. Please put pool groups on the top of the pool list.

And please add function "Add pool" to whole miner group

Please add a new pool www.starpool.biz

Regards

Hi and thanks for your feedback.

The rules for restarting a miner can currently only be defined for a specific hashrate, not a percentage. You can for example define that if the hashrate is 0 or if the hashrate is below 3 TH/s, a reboot of the miner will be performed. See the examples here:
http://www.awesomeminer.com/help/rules.aspx

I've been thinking of improving the hashrate trigger to allow you to compare a miner with a Profit profile, where you have target hashrates configured per algorithm. It would be good to be able to compare (incl. percentage) the hashrates of the profit profile with what the miner is currently performing.

There are some good changes for the pool operations in the next release. I've not only put Pool Groups on top, but also made it possible to search for pool names.

I've also made the implementation for supporting any Yiimp-compatible pool like starpool.biz. I've had many requests about adding this flexibility as there are so many pools being launched all the time. I'm currently testing the feature and will add some documentation about it on the web site. It will be included in the next release of Awesome Miner. Please try out this new feature once available.

Also if more than one selected miner could be deleted from the list, that would be awesome!
You can remove multiple miners via the Options dialog, and then either External Miners or Managed Miners section.

How to disable an adapter in a mixed rig?
I am trying to figure out how to disable adapter 0 (tesla card) in a rig with 6 other 1080ti cards. Got this working on most mining software except for Excavator, which doesn't seem to have a cli option for this?
Excavator doesn't allow command line configuration and in the current version of Awesome Miner, the configuration file is automatically generated by Awesome Miner and this cannot be changed.

The good news is that I've implemented support for defining custom configuration for Excavator in the Properties of a Managed Miner. You will be able to set the worker and device configuration to disable specific GPU's. This feature will be included in a development release that will be made available quite soon.

How can I prevent an algorithm from being used on a specific profit switching pool?

Using Profit Switcher with a number of pools (MPH, Nicehash, etc..).  When AM believes dual mining with Keccak is most profitable it starts dual mining on MPH.  Unfortunately MPH continues to get a socket timeout every now and then with Keccak.  Dual mining on Nicehash with Keccak works just fine.

Thus:
- If on MPH I don't want dual mining with Keccak (SHA-3)
- If on Nicehash, dual mining with Keccak (SHA-3) allowed

I know I can turn off SHA-3 completely, turn it off at the video card (profile) level and even turn SHA-3 off for a specific miner... but how to do it at the pool level?

Thanks!

The profit profiles only allow you to enable/disable SHA-3 completely.

If you only want to disable the Mining Pool Hub SHA-3 pool, you can go to the Options dialog, Online Services. Then edit the entry for Mining Pool Hub SHA-3 and uncheck "Include in Managed Profit Switcher".

It was confirmed which is now lowered because of some exchange issue (which i have never seen ever). Which is posted happening to other coins where people's pending balance magically was lower so now it went to slightly under to 0.0049 when it was over the min. payout on sunday. It is being help up from PHILS that have been "pending" for over 18 hours now. When that wasnt the case yesterday.

34rK2kTGHcrNyF7U14tMhFkLjP2FATmpQM

I've looked into the issue and since the pool has not sold his share of phils going on 20 hours now (so it says at least), I wont be paid for all the other work until I mine more. Catch 22. mine more to not get paid what ive already mined because of not selling one coin in the stash. Which has happened once in less then a week. Which is fair to say it will happen again making payouts completely unreliable. I also guess people who mined TUNE coin, lost 40% of their income on it due to to some exchange issue. No other pool has done this to me. It is why I feel sorta betrayed by AM for the first time. This 0% pool has made me 0 money. I only found out about it because of AM.
Hi,

I typically add support for mining software and pools based on popularity and what users are requesting. I'm sorry that your experience with this pool wasn't as expected, and it sounds like you had some bad luck here. This is unfortunately the way mining works - there will always be some mining software or some pool that doesn't turn out well for some. Zergpool is quite large with 2400 miners right now, so it will continue to be supported in Awesome Miner, but like any other software or pool, it can of course be disabled.

hi patrike - In dev version 4.4.7 it seems the "add/change pools" option in the web interface is still missing for dstm and also for the newly added bminer. The option is present in the web interface for for ewbf.
I will review this implementation and make it available for more mining software. It will however not be for version 4.5 that is planned for today, but in one of the releases after that. Thanks for your feedback on this.
3033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: February 27, 2018, 09:58:05 AM
patrike,

Can you look into Nvidainspector for OC profiles, i know you already implemented using the MSI remote service, but i have run into multiple issues with this over something more simple and stable like Nvidiainspector..

Firstly, i find that having both MSI afterburner and Remote server open and active on a rig creates a LOT of traffic on the rig especially when you have multiple GPU's running, all this traffic keeps causing lockups and slugging performance on my rigs and some cases if it didnt make the change immediately do to a process lag, it will start mining without ever making a OC change...

Secondly i find that the MSI remote setup isnt compatible with all GPUs or something, some of my GPU's show up, but are not able to be changed via this method, example all my rigs with MSI Armor 1080ti's or MSI Seahawk 1080ti's, they are unable to use the OC profiles at all.

I think it would increase the stability and reliability if you added Nvidiainspector to the core files of the software both remote server and main software, then you can use simple input code linked to the profiles in AM to control the OC of the GPU's without needing to actively have software constantly running.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've received a number of requests for this one and also about GPU clocking in general to better support mixed clocking settings within the same profile. I will have to do a bit more investigation on this, but I fully agree that this can be improved and that MSI Afterburner isn't the best software on the planet (especially not for many GPU's).

Adding more flexibility to the command line configurations is also on the list of items to implement.

1) Is it possible to read the current balance that hold on pools like suprnova.cc through their API? They provide an API key after you login, and I can see the current confirmed, just not sure how to filter that to show up as "balance"  I believe they use https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos/wiki/API-Reference using the getuserbalance command.

2) Any chance of adding balance to be visible on the local web server as opposed to just seeing the miners info?

3) Would it be possible to store data of how long each miner is on each pool perhaps how many times it connected to that pool as well (when profit switching)?
Thanks for your feedback.

1) Yes, the plan is to support any MPOS pool. The current Mining Pool Hub integration is using their MPOS-like API's, so it will be quite easy to extend this to allow you to enter your own pool URL to connect to the same URL. You can expect this feature to be available in one of the next few versions of Awesome Miner.

2) That could be a candidate for future improvements

3) Currently not supported, as the Performance History is currently only storing hashrates and temperatures. However, I do receive a number of requests to improve this feature, so I have this on my list of features to implement.

1) I get paid out in LTC on MPH, will I be able to see that and not just BTC?

4) I am a cross platform mobile developer, can I access an API from the cloud service to monitor the data?

Thanks!
mdpauley
1) If I remember correctly, the MPH API reports this as the amount of payout in the coin you mined and that it's not related to the actual payout coin.

4) The Awesome Miner API is currently only provided by Awesome Miner itself, not via the cloud. I have received a few requests about making an API available via the cloud as well, so that might get supported later on. For more information about the API:

Hi Patrike,

is there a way that the awesomeminer software shows if a miner is freezing?
On my rigs its heavy to see that one rig is not working i can only see it 50% if profit shows 0,00$
The other 50% iam not seeing because it shows the profit and hashrate like if its running

Any ideas?
Hi,
Using the two rules Offline Detection and Accept Progress should be able to detect these kind of issues:

Hi patrike,

First, thanks for the great software Cheesy

Second, is there anyway I could use Claymore's NeoScrypt AMD GPU Miner in a managed profit miner until you can implement and update?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3012600.0
Thanks for your nice feedback.

I've not had a chance to look at this one yet. It might be possible to take a Managed Miner for Claymore Ethereum or Claymore Zcash and simply point it to this exe-file instead. Maybe someone else tried this already?

I can hopefully add support for this miner within a few days, depending on how similar it is to the other Claymore software.
3037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: February 25, 2018, 04:08:20 PM
Hi all!

I'd just like to clarify this setup.

If I run 3 rigs using AM and each rig uses a free version of AM with 1 miner each, do I still need to upgrade AM versions?

All these are under 1 IP.

To my understanding, I need to upgrade if I have more than 2 miners configured on 1 rig. But in my case, I'm using only 1 miner in AM/rig. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

The reason for me asking is because I have multiple rigs with the free version of AM with 1 miner each under 1 IP. Then revenue earned in MPH only shows as if I'm not using 2-3rigs. Each rig is connected to 1 hub worker in MPH.

TIA!
The general idea is that the free edition can be used for up to two miners. If you upgrade to Standard Edition or any other edition, you will get access to more miners and more features. In addition to that, you will get product support if you run into any problems and you also contribute to the future development of the software - making the software even better.

It's fully possible to run Awesome Miner on multiple computers with the free license, but then you will not have the centralized management anymore - you will have several separate systems that needs to be managed and monitored. So the user experience will not be as good.

Another feature suggestion - give me some simplified way to figure out wtf happened to cause a miner to crash.

I've been having a hell of a time getting some of my miners stable recently. I have them autoswitching very frequently, and each rig seems to crash at least once a day. Its very difficult to nail down precisely what it was doing that caused it to crash. What would be super useful is if within a notification there was some way to identify the last thing it was mining before a crash. For example instead of it just saying "mining process not running, initiating restart" it would be awesome if it said "mining process not running (ccminer 4.4.2, lyra2re, ahashpool, intensity 22), initiating restart" or something like that. Then I'll be able to see at a glance in the notifications if there is some sort of pattern - for instance lyra2re is crashing, or dstm is crashing, or only miners at a certain intensity are crashing etc.) I know that technically this is all in the logs but that requires me to RDP to each box, dig through this enormous log file full of tons of unnecessary detail.
Very good point. I've received similar requests in the past to make this information more visible, but simply making it part of the notification message is a good idea. I will implement this in the next update so you can try it.

After the last update the Myriad-Groestl Algo in the Pool Setup has gone leaving me without any profit information on the Coins that are on Myriad-Groestl (XVG and DGB).

I tried to add these coins manually, but other than just showing up WITHOUT any real time information nothing happened.
Tried to add the .json files for these coins from whattomine to, still no other information than the coin name.

It worked perfecly since i updated today, damn!!

Why was the myriad-groestl algo from the manually pool setup removed and how to fix that now?
I don't think this is related to the latest update of Awesome Miner. The last day I've receved similar reports from users running a bit older versions of Awesome Miner as well. It looks like WhatToMine recently changed their naming of this algorithm. I will adjust the next release of Awesome Miner to make this work again.
