<snip>
Thanks for your feedback. This scenario is actually like in previous versions of Awesome Miner, where each of the "Avalon devices", not "Avalon devices status", listed in the web interface is represented as a device in the Awesome Miner ASIC tab.

The new implementation for Avalon must be enabled via the Properties of an External Miner, Advanced section. This will make the entire External Miner represent a single Avalon miner (instead of the entire controller).

What I will look into as well is to change the devices listed on the ASIC tab, as you pointed out with your screenshot. Instead of listing for example 2 "Avalon devies" like today, I could make it list all 6 "Avalon devices status" instead. Please note that this is only for the scenario where you use a single External Miner and looking at the entire controller. The main point with the new implementation was the new setting to make the entire External Miner represent a single miner.
As I pointed out, those results were using the default Avalon reporting with the main error being the number of miners reported per AUC (Device). As the one set of sshots shows in 1 case the 2 AUC's are correctly reported but number of miners attached to them is not. For default Avalon display I'd either leave it as just reporting the # of AUC's (original way) or if miners attached is presented then needs to be the right#.

Using the Advanced Avalon config -- Perfect results. Visually now with top end of the graph at 15THs vs 50+THs is FAR easier to see a few THs drop from any 1 miner. Kudos for that Cheesy

edit: Query, when using the Advanced Avalon config and reporting per-miner does the Restart button do a global restart of cgminer (all miners on controller) or just restart the 1 miner? Since the Avalon API does has provision for it the ability to actually reboot the individual miner would be nice.
I will change the next release to display all individual miners on the ASIC tab for the case where you don't run with the Avalon-mode enabled.

I'm also trying to get documentation on the Avalon unique reboot API from the vendor, as the API do have some parameters you can specify what to reboot, but it may not be on the individual miner level but on the AUC level.

There are currently no feature to set two prices, but what I'm planning for later on is to allow you to define the power cost per profit profile, and then also allow the rules to set the power cost of a profile.
Already today you can use the Time-trigger to define when a rule should be executed, but you cannot set an interval. It would however make sense to support that as well

Also I want to remind you about the installation of electricity costs for each asic / rig, because The systems are not in one place

I ask you to give a set of rules for automatically adding the 4th pool to the ant after rebooting

Thank you
If each profile profile would allow a specific power cost to be specified, I assume that would improve the scenario you describe.

You can use a rule with the Detect Pool trigger, where you make it trigger if a specific pool is missing. The action would then be a "Miner Command" of the type Change Pool Group, where you point to a pool group with your 4 pools you want to use.

Hi. how do you get sgminer x16r for amd to display profitability?
thanks
Sgminer X16r should display profitability just like any other mining software. Are you mining a coin or on a pool known to Awesome Miner, but the revenue is still $0?

I just set the amd to sgminer x16r and started mining. this is the only one that does this. I only mine on profit switch pools supplied.
I also have to add command -I 19 otherwise it mines 500kh/s per card

Could you provide a screenshot of the miner list in the main window of Awesome Miner, where also the Pools tab is selected at the bottom of the screen to make the pool URL visible? Thanks!

It looks like Awesome Miner isn't getting any API information from sgminer in this case.

Could you please send me the following (by e-mail or PM).

1) An API report via the toolbar Tools -> API Report
2) Start the miner with the Diagnostics button in the toolbar and copy the output

Thanks!

In some countries (don't know if all) we have 2 prices for electricity. High (day) and Low (night) price.

So whan runing "rules" in AWM some coins  might be profitable night but loosing money at daytime.

Is it possible to implant that we coud enter 2 different electricity prices ? (and some way to define when they are walid)

or

Posibility do define the timeframe whe certain "rule" is active and when not.

Best regards.
There are currently no feature to set two prices, but what I'm planning for later on is to allow you to define the power cost per profit profile, and then also allow the rules to set the power cost of a profile.

Thanks for the feedback.

Right now, a simple workaround is to clone the profit profile (for the hashrate) and adjust power draw to the percentage drop in accordance to your off-peak electricity rate vs peak rate, then simply add time triggers to switch miners to those profiles accordingly (so this is in a sense just like changing profit factor, except now you are changing the cost factor). It should work just fine for profit switching purposes. Of course, future ability to implement power cost per profile is obviously very welcome addition.
Good point.
As power cost is getting more and more important, I will make sure it will be possible to specify per Profit Profile in the next release.

Hi all,

Please, How to setup the msi afterburner remote server if logging into domain? I am having issues using only username or domain\username.. Not sure where the error is coming from. Folder is good and i even created admin user only for that and it stipp not succesfull.

Thanks!
Hi,
Is the username you enter the same user as you use to run Awesome Miner / Remote Agent on this account? It's not possible to specify any user account to use for this purpose.

Awesome Miner Version 5.3.11 (Development preview of 5.4)

The main content for this update (compared to 5.3.10):

1) Performance improvements in general and performance improvements related to when the profit switcher is making decisions, to make the user interface run smoother when you have a larger number of profit profiles

2) Avalon ASIC miners can be monitored individually even when Awesome Miner is connected to a controller with multiple miners. This can be configured via the External Miner Properties, Advanced section.

The public release 5.4 will be made available within the next few days.

You can also expect an early Beta version of Remote Agent for Linux within the next few weeks.
Thanks for responding so quick re the Avalons Cheesy
That said, there are now some new issues with them: When left in default (all on controller reported as 1 miner) the AISIC tab now is very inconsistent with what it reports...

Thanks for your feedback. This scenario is actually like in previous versions of Awesome Miner, where each of the "Avalon devices", not "Avalon devices status", listed in the web interface is represented as a device in the Awesome Miner ASIC tab.

Hello Patrike,
Thanks a lot for adding ability to update softwares using local network shares. It works perfectly !

I would have another request regarding benchmarking. Most of the softwares allow AM to read power consumption from graphic cards.
Could you add the possibility for AM to read this power data during benchmarking and save it at same time it save hashrate ?
I know it's not representative of the global power used by a rig but it could be enough to compare profits between algorithms...

Thanks for the update.

The feature to include power usage for benchmarks should be possible to support on nVidia systems in the future.

Hello, I'm new to Awesome Miner, and having trouble with Norton Security. I was doing okay with other miners such as ccminer, ewbf, bminer, zenemy, nicehash, but can't run Awesome Miner on my Windows 10 PC.
I've killed Norton Security (disabled auto protection, and smart firewall.), but gives me an error 'Failed to start miner process: InvalidApplication.' Should I uninstall Norton Security completely from the PC to run the miner?
I assume that Awesome Miner itself is running fine here, but a specific mining software isn't starting.

Which software are you trying to run here? One common reason for "InvalidApplication" is when you are trying to run a 64-bit application on a 32-bit Windows. Please use the Diagnostics button in the toolbar and share the output with us. Thanks!
2392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 16, 2018, 08:48:23 AM
@patrike
seen this several times already and again today - AM fails to self-update. after downloading the msi package, it tries to update itself but silently fails (window with "Updating..." progressbar just closes and nothing happens then).
after that I can see stuck "AwesomeMiner.exe" process in the Task Manager and what is really strange is that I can't stop it, nothing happens when I click the "End process" button.

using the Unlocker tool or rebooting the PC helps, after that I can update AM manually with msi package.

hope you can fix it. thank you Smiley
Is the problem where "End process" didn't work something that only happen once? These issues are typically not related to the application itself (Awesome Miner), but that something went wrong in Windows and might be resolved with a reboot. An application can by itself not do anything to prevent Windows from terminating the process.
2393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 16, 2018, 08:46:06 AM
Yet another issue here :Nvidia  rigs crashing with zero OC ,this always seems to happen when the miner is trying to switch to klaus ccminer or from that to zenemy.

Ths rigs work fine for a while even switching back an forth , eventually they seem to eiher reboot and stop mining
even though i have auto start on reboot.  Other rigs just stop mining , In the awesome Notification log i see the error to many tries
Please try to disable one of them (Ccminer KlausT or Z-enemy) at a time and see if everything is stable. There can be some mining software that isn't running 100% stable on all systems.

Please I need help I'm frustrated with setting up ethereum with phoenix miner ssl on awesomeminer do you have any guide for setting it up I'm always stuck in fan speed but when normally running it on the Phoenix miner without awesome miner it working fine but when start running it in awesome miner I always stuck in temp and fan speed.
When you launch the mining software outside of Awesome Miner, are you running the same version of Phoenix Miner, with the same command line parameters (nothing specific related to GPU settings)?

Awesome Miner Version 5.3.12 (Development preview of 5.4)

The main content for this update (compared to 5.3.11):

1) Run batch commands as Administrator
2) In the diagnostics dialog, you can perform a cleanup of all downloaded mining software.
3) Updated mining software versions

The plan is to release the public version 5.4 within 2-3 days.
2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 14, 2018, 07:18:35 AM
Any chance you can add a way for other "income" streams to be added. For example, the ability to track earnings from Masternodes and see then as a form of revenue in the dashboard as part of the daily income? Or the ability to monitor an address to show revenue or a manually entered $ for GPU's or ASICs hosted and managed outside of Awesomeminer?

-Patrick
There are currently no features for this in Awesome Miner.

We do have a user here on the forum (soothaa) that developed a plugin for Masternodes:

how do you benchmark hex , its not available on profit switching
You need a pool for it available for the profit switcher. If you are using one of the last few development versions you should be able to use Zpool or Zergpool with Hex.

Hi patrike,

I'm experiencing an issue mining with excavator through AM.

I'm using excavator 1.4.4a, with the "default_command_file.json" included it works well.
With AM it worked fine but not anymore, no regard how much GPU I select in benchmark or wich algorithm or wich pool I choose, I always got this

It looks like Awesome Miner think you are using Excavator 1.5, as it will try to connect to "nhmp.eu.nicehash.com:3200". It might be the detection in Awesome Miner isn't perfect for this scenario. Do you want to use 1.4 or is 1.5 an option?

I prefer keeping 1.4 version so I can use any server and not only nicehash's one.

Would it be possible in the next update to split Excavator 1.4 and 1.5 or to add an option to tell AM wich version of excavator is working on the miner ?

Thx
I've fixed an issue with the auto detection of Excavator 1.4 vs 1.5 so the next release should take care of this.
2400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 10000 miners on: August 13, 2018, 09:27:16 AM
@patrike, here's a couple of suggestions for next AM releases Smiley

it would be great if we could see the pools and wallets balances in the web interface. even greater with ability to set individual wallets for each user Smiley

the miners list in the web interface doesn't show the profit per day/month for each miner group.
the web dashboard does not show the highest device temperature for each algo, unlike the in-app dashboard.

really would like to see integration with nVidiaInspector and OverdriveNtool for GPU clocking instead of sluggish MSI Afterburner. now I am using them to apply the appropriate settings using the "execute batch commands" feature. dreaming of how easy to use it would be if AM had integrated support for them, with clocking profiles, etc. Smiley

also, SRBMiner 1.6.6, T-Rex 0.5.7 and BMiner 10.0 are out, you may want to include them. the new SRBMiner build does not work out-of-the-box, it doesn't like the default "tskill SRBMiner-CN.exe" value that AM sets for the "reboot_script" config field, throws an error saying that it can't locate "tskill" and restarts itself.

finally, I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your work, bro. thank you! it's an amazing thing to see how you value our feedback.  Wink
Thanks for all suggestions and feedback. They are all noted.

I've been playing a bit with nVidiaInspector and OverdriveNtool, but if you have any examples of the commands lines you use, you can send it to me via PM. Then I can see in more detail which parameters that are being used and how they are used, to make sure Awesome Miner can cover as many scenarios as possible.

The latest mining software will be part of the next update. Your observation about SRBMiner is correct, it no longer supports the old way for the reboot script. I will make Awesome Miner generate a batch-file with this command instead to support the new way.
